I am famous, I am beloved, and I am miserable. I had my own television show as a kid, and I’ve sold over thirty million albums. I have it all. A great family who loves me, and more money than I’ll be able to spend in a lifetime. I should be happy. I should be content. But I’m spinning out of control and no one can stop the whirling dervish when I tear into their lives. I don’t mean to ruin things. I just can’t seem to stop myself.
Train
I am currently the enforcer for an MC I’ve devoted my life to, but when a call comes to help protect the biggest pop star in the world, I start to question my devotion. Melody Morgan is one of the most beautiful and talented women on the planet, but she’s also a notorious pain in the ass and has driven every employee she’s had to the brink of insanity or attempted murder. I am reluctant to volunteer, but if I succeed in completing the assignment, it means a much-desired promotion. There are just two rules. Don’t fuck up the job, and don’t fuck her.
New York Times & USA Today Bestselling Author Piper Davenport writes from a place of passion and intrigue, combining elements of romance and suspense with strong modern-day heroes and heroines.
She currently resides in the Pacific Northwest with her author husband, Jack Davenport, and an obnoxious YorkiePoo named Pepper who may or may not be an international spy.
I loved this story! I don't know why I kept putting off reading it. Something about the blurb kept me from reading this book for a long time. But I'm glad I finally got around to reading it. I loved Melody and Train! Great story!!!
One of the things I absolutely LOVE about this author is how she intertwines her worlds. We get a few different worlds here, Savannah, Colorado, and the Morgan Sisters. They blend seamlessly and make for a fantastic story. We've seen Melody before, with her sister's stories, but to say she's turned over a new leaf is an understatement. Gone is the spoiled little bratty princess that gets what she wants or she throws a fit, and in her place is a young woman making a new start, with a new attitude. I loved how we got to see her human side and not just her on stage persona. And Train... this guy has levels upon levels, fierce protector, private, soulful, and even with the gift he possesses, he still feels the nerves. The two together are fun to watch. He gets her like nobody else ever has and she fits with him like a glove. To say they are *ahem* compatible, would be an understatement and are legit FIRE together. Another great story in the Dogs universe!
Piper and Jack Davenport, you captured my interest when I saw the cover. I started drooling when I realized the cover actually fit Train. You had me swooning after Melody and Train met. You had me completely hooked when I realized it was so much more than an MC book. You had me devouring page after page just to see who from past books would pop up next.
Melody is going back on tour after years and years of drama and silence. She wants control. She wants uncomplicated. The minute it is discovered that one the members has been talking to a fourteen year old life get very complicated very quickly.
Her sister, Harmony, finds her a replacement guitarist. Train maybe a member of the Dogs of Fire, Portland chapter but he is so much more. I knew Train would bring drama to the story but I didn't realize he would just be a drop in the bucket of super shocking moments. Can I just say I didn't see a certain something coming. I didn't see a bunch of situations coming. I could have caught flies with as many times as my mouth dropped with "oh my,' "oh my word," "that did not just happen" and holy crazy times.
Set some time aside to read Road to Glory. You won't want to be interrupted. You won't want to have to put it a way for later. You will want the opportunity to squeal with joy and scream in anger. You will want to have to time sit and absorb all the amazingness of Road to Glory.
This book captured my heart from the very first page. Train has so many different layers to him and every time I thought I knew him, there was something else new to learn. We’ve met Melody through her sisters, Harmony in Spotlight and Lyric in Quieting the Bikers Rage, I knew going in she was going to be a very complex woman but I had no idea how strong and sassy she was going to be. I really love characters like this, that keep surprising you and Piper writes them so well. From the moment Train and Melody meet you can just feel the chemistry burning through the page. I loved how they built this friendship through their love of music. There’s so much to the story besides the romance and the heat, there is humor, suspense, and a whole lot of twist and turns you won’t see it coming. This was a five star read for me.
Finally we get Melody's story and let me tell you it was so worth the wait!!! I absolutely loved every bit of their story. Melody is going back on tour after a very long time and she needs a guitar player asap. Her sister Harmony comes up with the perfect solution...Train. He can play a mean guitar and help keep Melody safe on the road. What they didn't expect was the intense chemistry they shared when they met. The more time they spent together the more they really started to fall for one another. Along the way there are twists and turns and things that you don't see coming but love always prevails. Loved every minute of their story...I was hooked from beginning to end. Fantastic story, one that I recommend to all. I can't wait for the next Dogs of Fire MC story...well done!!!!
Melody has to fire her guitarist for interacting with a minor. She now needs to find a new guitarist before the start of her tour. Finally breaks down and calls her sister Harmony. Harmony know the perfect person Train. They both feel something when they first meet and sing together. Can they keep their hands to themselves through out the tour? Will the tour go smoothly or will they be chaos? Are Melody’s sister right to fear for her safety? Come on in and take a ride.
Another winner from outstanding author, Piper Davenport. This awesome story is definitely something that will draw you in. She weaves a fantastic story of Melody and Train of highs and lows. With additional characters that will make you want to read the whole series. This HEA takes to down the traveling road to glory in a bands successes and troubles. Stick around for the end of sweet embers of love, with the perfect pitch and tone.
Train was probably one of the sweetest Dogs members I’ve come across so far. He was perfect for Melody, who by now has evolved a lot since the chaotic person we knew her to be from past books. This wasn’t a typical DOF read since it centred around Melody & Train on the road rather than the brothers back at the club house but nevertheless I enjoyed it and we still had passion & romance and danger/suspense thrown in.
Melonie Morgan is the world famous pop star and she’s out a guitarist. Train is a guitarist and member of the Portland MC Dogs of Fire. They immediately can’t take their eyes or ears off each other. On the road for her latest tour Melonie needs some extra security and finds that in the arms of Train. This was another good book in this series. I need to add more of them to my lists because I enjoy reading them.
Train & Melody's story is full of flirting, music, STEAM (seriously, hot hot hot, bring a fan), family, and action! There are also some highly emotional moments that will bring both laughter and tears. I loved the story a lot - They both have such huge hearts & I loved reading about their journey to HEA!
I absolutely LOVE the Dogs of Fire Series! Can't wait to see what comes next especially since the kids are now older and getting involved. I have been waiting on pins and needles for the Piper to finally reveal who would be strong enough to tame Melody! Piper didn't disappoint! Train was perfect for her!
Loved this book. Each new member of the Dogs that Piper introduces to use takes up another place in my heart. I loved the chemistry between Train and Meldoy and that he was the person that proved that giving her heart to the right person was an amazing experience. Another amazing book in this series
Dogs of Fire book 11. This is Train and Melody story. We've met both in previous books. Melody is a super popstar but no one knows the real her. Train is asked to help her out on tour. Melody is trying to be her true self and a popstar. They fall for each other but the road is crazy filled with drama, angst, funny ish and heartfelt passion.
I started the series with this book and think it threw me as they are based on tour not at the MC base. However I did really enjoy it and it has made me want to go back and start the series.
Loved the MMC and how he falls hard. No third act breakup which is always a massive plus for me
We finally get Melody's story after meeting her in previous books. Train has been in the background of several stories, just waiting for his to be told. So many ranges of feelings that a reader goes through in this one.
I have been waiting for Melody to get her story and to pair her with Train from the Dogs of Fire MC was a fantastic move. This is a page turning read with lots of banter and laughs which I always enjoy.
I couldn't put it down and devoured it in one sitting.
This book is about Train and Melody, Lyric and Harmony’s famous sister. I absolutely loved this book and couldn’t put it down. Train and Melody had a connection from the start. This book had it all. I highly recommend it.
Melody finally finds the right man in Dogs of Fire Portland member, Train. Train loves music and his club but never expected to go on tour with a famous singer and her band. These two have chemistry from the start in this entertaining read.
This one had me more emotional than the last. I'm getting hooked on these installments. The characters are getting better and better and the twists and turns are more unexpected.
After meeting Melody in previous books I was pretty sure her story would e quite interesting and I was NOT wrong. She can be a spoiled rotten…brat. And I’ve been waiting, impatiently, for Train to get his story too. Was not disappointed with these two, at all!
An excellent read. I absolutely loved Train and Melody’s story ❤️ such a great adventure for them both. Train is an absolute rock star. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎
I love how Piper draws you into the story. I wish I would have started reading her books years ago. My life may have been totally different. Look forward to reading more
Train & Melody Melody is on tour but she needs a guitar player and some security, Enter Harmony(her sister) who suggests Train. He can play guitar and help keep Melody safe on the road.
Train and Melody’s rock star romance illustrates Melody’s growth from a whirling dervish of chaos to a reasonably responsible, full fledged adult super star in need of a replacement lead guitarist. I’m usually critical of this author’s character development but she did a great job with Train who is an accomplished song writer with mad guitar skills who joins Melody’s band. It’s a good story that suffers from a few glaringly obvious plot holes while it lacks significant progress in the Beast storyline which seems to be dragging on at a snail’s pace.
Parts of Road to Tomorrow would have made more sense had I realized I was reading out of order, but that is also the benefit of stand-alone!
Melody is a pop star in need of a new lead guitarist. And her sister knows just the guy. Train is working toward his road captain patch and is offered it if he also does security for Melody while getting paid to play guitar. What neither of them was counting on was falling for the other.
Or that they would make such great music together and as a band. But when their bassist dies of an OD, the band seems to fall apart a bit. That is until Melody is kidnapped and they found out what happened to Pudding. But will Train get there in time to save her?
Melody and Train get their happy ending in this stand-alone book in a series.
The Dogs of Fire are a very talented group of individuals and there is so much talent within the club to help anyone with anything. And I would love to see how much Train and Melody float between the two clubs and help bring them closer together.
