ℝ𝔼𝕍𝕀𝔼𝕎:
I was sent a free copy of this book as part of the book tour for the exchange of an honest review through @thebookscenestours

I really enjoyed stepping into each short fantasy story. They were all different, had fun and unique characters and plotlines. Some stories I preferred over others, but not because they weren't written well, just my personal preference.

Something that makes this book really special is that it introduced me to the writings of 11 different authors. As the stories are short, it's an easy read and a bit like speed dating with YA Fantasy Authors 😂 I have since looked into other books by these authors and added them to my TBR List. It is always fun learning about new authors and discovering new and amazing fantasy series to read. This was a great way to do this!

If you're looking for some short stories or looking for new authors to discover, I would highly recommended giving this book go! It is free to download. The link is above and in my bio.

Thank you again for the opportunity to read and review your book and being a part of the book tour! 💕

This is an anthology consisting of 11 fantasy stories by various authors. The stories in the book are diverse and interesting. Each story took me on a ride to a beautifully imagined world with astounding characters.

Some of my favourite stories are:

Paranormal Singers by @nicolezoltack
When a teenager who had a life long aversion for music, finds out that he is a siren and can hypnotize crowds with his singing, sets out to form a band with his siren friends. This is a coming-of-age story which focuses on relationships and finding oneself.

The Rogue Vampire by @rlperezbooks
Leo is not sure whether he wants to become a vampire and join his brother’s coven or to cherish his freedom to roam during the day and leave the coven forever. Still undecided, Leo with his friend Jorge sneaks out of the coven to visit the village often. But with the arrival of an alpha werewolf in the village, Leo is forced to make choices that leads to unexpected consequences for himself and the coven. I loved the character development of Leo and the twist in the story. The story was atmospheric and intriguing to read.

Witch Test by @kirsten.s.walker
Rosa narrates her experience of seeing an unseelie while performing the test set out for her by the Faerie court to clear in order to be granted witch powers. She is to climb the Quiggs mountain alone, through a forest to reach the castle on the top of the mountain. Rosa encounters some bizarre events on her journey uphill. The narration is fantastic. The writing is atmospheric and fascinating.

The Matchmaker & the Coven by @evelina.everest
This is a witty story about a young witch who plays matchmaker to her friends while also trying to pass her portions exam.

A Fair Deception by @lyndseyhall
A young prince and girl who hunts to put food on her family’s table meet in a forest and fall in love.

Slipper in the Snow @aliceivinya
This is a retelling of The Little Mermaid and Cinderella put together.
This is an amazing anthology with varied authors contributing a bunch of enchanting stories seeped in magic.

This is an anthology of 11 short stories that dive into the various subgenres of fantasy. Some are very short while some are a bit longer. I enjoyed them all but would especially like to mention two of them.
Lost in a memory by Sara Breaker is one where I really wanted to know what happened next. It's very intriguing and kept me hooked only to finish without answering my questions...
The Shadows and The Children by Day Leitao talks about how courage and bravery are more important than strength. I went ahead and read it as a bedtime story to my 5 year olds. But I replaced the killings to people getting hurt because I feel my kids are too young to be told about death, especially of other kids'. And they loved it, full 5 stars from them.

For me, every story deserves different number of stars as I liked some better than the others but would overall give the anthology four stars. Definitely recommended, especially for the younger lot (I know it's YA but still all of us are reading it, so I just wanted to specify)

💜This book is a collection of 11 ya fantasy stories all of which are engaging, interesting & keep the reader hooked. I'm sharing outlines of some of the stories here 💛.

🌸"The Matchmaker & the Coven" by @evelina.everest : There are 4 main characters, Mailey (witch), Cassandra (seer), Zack (boy), & Aquatica (water nymph). Mailey introduces Zack to Aquatica because he needs swimming lessons. A witch's coven attacks them during a lesson because they wanna kidnap & sell Zack to pay their debts. Can the kids escape the coven?

🌸"Lost in a Memory" by @sbreakerauthor : The narrator is lost, mentally. Maybe she was brainwashed into believing what wasn't true, maybe she wasn't. Maybe she's home, as she wants to believe, maybe she's not. Maybe she's Sarah not Portia, maybe not. Maybe she deep down knows something's wrong, maybe not. Nothing's certain.

🌸"The Shadows & the Children" by @day_leitao_ya : Dark Valley is a dangerous & gloomy place where death is everywhere. There are shadow creatures, shadow wolves. Zora finds herself trapped in the forest with some kids & she encounters some shadow creatures. Will they survive?

🌸"A Fair Deception" by @lyndseyhall : A prince & a huntress fall for each other after their first meeting. Fate interferes but they finally find their way to each other.

🌸"Cara" by @author_joholloway : Cara is a girl who sees things that others don't and those things usually are animals, all types of animals. She's bullied & laughed at by the classmates not knowing Cara is a lot more than the eye meets.

🌸"The Rogue Vampire" @rlperezbooks : Leo is a part of vampire coven but isn't yet a vampire himself. His brother rules the coven. Werewolves come to their village to ask for refuge from an alpha & end up causing a revolt by manipulating Leo.

A fun, quick read. Each story took me about 20-30 min to read. Perfect pallet cleanser between a full length novel! My favorite story was The Rogue Vampire by RL Perez!! I’ve been CRAZY about any kind of paranormal stories lately and this read had so many!
This fun story has:
🩸 Vampires
🩸 Werewolves
🩸 Demons
🩸 Dark Magic
🩸 Worlocks
🩸 Shapeshifters

Whenever you are in need of a fast, enjoyable, engaging, paranormal read I would highly recommend grabbing this book and giving a few of the stories a try!

This collection of sci-fi and fantasy stories has a few that I throughly enjoyed. There are, also a few that just didn’t grab my attention. Then there is the novella as the last story and I loved it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Disclaimer: I received a copy of this ebook from the author and this is my honest and freely given opinion.
