The Devils Highwaymen are back and we have Hawks story. Good lord is this book amazing. So please read the warning by the author because it has dark tendencies. So we have Savannah who though she found the right man until things changed as well as her life. Once you read what she goes through you will understand her decisions. Then we have Hawk and what he went through before he became a Devils Highwaymen. Let me just say I was shocked and heart broken. Hawk has a heart of gold. Now when he meets Savannah, he sees her and what she is going through. He wants to protect her at any cost. Will he get the chance? Will Savannah finally cave and give Hawk a chance? I mean I can understand her being skittish but she can't live in fear right? We do have action and mystery as well when reading because things are happening and trying to keep these two apart before they even start. Things do get hot and intense with these two. Be prepared to have a tissue handy cause you will choke up on some tears. So how will it all end. Check it out to see. Lila Grey delivers another amazing novel and I cannot wait to see what else is in store.

This is my personal opinion on this book please to not take this review as the end all be all. Read the book and come to your own conclusions.

This was an MC romance story where the FMC was in an abusive relationship for 10 years, she finally had enough after her boyfriend almost killed her and she left him. While Sav had interactions with the Devil's Highwaymen because she worked in the diner they owned she was not a part of their group. Hawk is a member of the MC and he is your typical alpha male. He saves Sav after she has been beaten almost to death by Loydd. The book focuses on their relationship and the fallout from Sav leaving Loydd. I really enjoyed the story and finished it in one day however, there were a few problems I had with the book which is why it received 4 stars from me instead of 5. The first issue I had was that it seemed to jump around a lot and there was not a cohesive flow to the story. The second issue I had was how Sav seemed to go from her abusive relationship with a man who was drunk most of the times he beat her to Hawk who came to her on numerous occasions hung over because he had been drinking because he could not handle his issues. She did not ever seem to be bothered by that or worried about the fact that he used alcohol to cope. The last issues is a purely personal one. I cannot stand a whiny FMC. Yes, there were moments when Sav was strong and stood up for herself and those were in moments where most people would have been terrified, but then there were a lot of moments that she just whined and threw a pity party and that just drove me nuts. Despite these things this was still a good book and I look forward to reading the rest of this series.

Hawk deserved better

I loved the first three books in this series and it pains me to say this but Savannah ruined this book for me. I loved Hawk, but I couldn’t stand how bitchy Savannah was to him. I know in the beginning she was trying to push him away to “protect” him and the club from her abusive boyfriend but the way she treated him when he just wanted to help her really bothered me. (spoilers ahead)…..

She got a little better once they became a couple, but then she completely turns her back on him and believes the lies her abusive ex tells her about Hawk rather than believe everyone else that tells her it isn’t true. Not only that but she was ridiculously dramatic and immature about it. Instead of listening to Hawk’s side, it was all about her and how he broke her heart🙄. I hated her at this point. Hawk continues to make ridiculous sacrifices to protect her, but I totally felt like she didn’t deserve it. Hawk deserved a better heroine.

What can I say besides this book blew my mind. Five out of five. Lila has an amazing way with her words and I just want to keep eating up her writing. This book made me cry and want to know more. Sav and Hawk are an amazing couple and I can’t wait to read more. I love that love conquers all. I also fell in love with Gracie and hope that we get more of her.
I’m glad that you did a book about domestic violence it shows ways to get help. I so can’t wait for your next book. Love love love these characters and can’t wait to get more of the Devil’s Highway men. 💙

This book had me on a roller coaster ride.

Savannah has been abused since she was in high school. Her mental health is so bad that she believes that her abuser can actually do something to Hawk. Hawk is attracted to Savannah but his past doesn't let him get anywhere with her. It is not until he stops drink does he have a chance. But their pasts don't want them to be happy.

This is an amazing book. It will have you entertained from the very beginning.

Book smart and life naïve Savannah Brooks made the mistake of falling for Lloyd, a wrong guy. Ten years later, Lloyd is still an abusive drunk and Sav still can’t leave. Wyatt ‘Hawk’ Sullivan was on an upward trajectory for a successful career until it went on a downward spiral until his body hit concrete.

This reader wasn’t a fan, the flow didn’t work to my taste with leaps of time until some things read as if the reader was TSTL.

This is a hott, steamy adventure about another one of those big bad bikers that need a strong woman who can handle them. Hawk was not looking for a woman when Sav walked into his life. She was definitely not ready to deal with another man. Dark things happen and Sav finds herself having to rely on Hawk. Emotions go up and down. It is a very good book but not for people under 18. There is sex and violence.

Fantastic!!!!!

I was waiting for this book and it met & exceeded all expectations! We meet both of the lead characters, Savannah and Hawk, in the previous tales of the Devil’s Highwaymen. The scene was set for this to happen. From the fantastic storyline to the smexy NSFW scenes to the fabulous HEA - this book has everything. Absolutely loved it and can’t wait for the next instalment!!!!

I absolutely loved this book!! Hawk and Savanah's story was worth the wait. Both so broken yet perfect to help the other heal. I went through so many emotions reading this. Lila has a way of making you feel everything with her writing and I am here for it! I fall more in love with the Devil's Highwaymen with each book I can't wait for Moose!

One fight match after another. Savanna is fighting for her life with her husband’s abuse. Then walks Hawk into her life and makes her question her life. He’s fighting for this women at every turn. She don’t need saving. She just needs a light at the end of the tunnel. Hawk is there with a fire. Both learn to love and fight for more then life has given them ..

So worth the wait Hawk's story is a fantastic read full of action and romance with some twist thrown in and mystery surrounding Hawk's past. I didn't see it coming so no spoilers but the reveal was everything. I definitely recommend picking up this series if you haven't started yet go start with Striker you won't regret it.

Hawk and Savannah’s story was a rollercoaster ride with lots of ups and downs and twists and turns. Savannah is trying to project Hawk and the MC from the abusive boyfriend and all Hawk wants to do is protect Savannah from him also. Hawk was a great continuation of the Devil’s Highwaymen Series. Another great story from Lila Grey!

Another great MC story

I love this series. The Devils Highwaymen are the best club members ever. They always come to the rescue of family. I wish my family was this devoted. Hawk and Savanah's story is one for the books. There's a ton of love, sex, and oh the suspense. I can't wait for the next book! They keep me up late wanting to finish. Great job Lila!

Just say no

I just didn't like this book. The story line was pretty good and I felt like this could have been a good book but the main characters, there was something completely off with them. I didn't like either one of them so that made me dislike the whole book. I'm pretty sure I'll pass on the whole series of books. Read it or not. Shirley

Lila does it again! She has created a scary but yet fascinating world. Reading Savannah’s story is truly something inspiring but also something we can all relate too, just a bit more extreme. I loved reading every second of this book and I didn’t want to put it down.

TW:Domestic Abuse and R*pe

Hawk and Savanna have an interesting relationship where they both try to protect the other from her Savanna’s piece of garbage boyfriend. Good continuation of the Devils Highwaymen MC.

Great read

What a well written book full of love and support but has a lot of dark. Sav has suffered abuse for years but there is a determined man on the side lines called Hawk who will move heaven and earth for her.
