A great end to the trilogy
The end of the Sensorian saga did not disappoint.
I thoroughly enjoy the author's writing. Dialogue and inner thoughts are naturalistic, which makes it a breeze to read, and relatable.
From the start of book 1 I was always on the fence about the Sensorian community and Markus their leader in particular, as I could never quite make out if he was one of the "bad guys" or not. This book shed some light in that regard but also left a few aspects open for further exploration.
The political and moral themes throughout are not only timeless but current and the author acknowledges them and utilizes them within the story to great effect. Parallels can be drawn to our own societies from mutliple perspectives and it is left to the reader to interpret, which makes the story meaningful and impactful without being preachy, which is the best kind of writing.
This final installment was a whirlwind of action and the plot could have taken many directions, so it was intriguing reading, with each page discovering where each character was headed.
Characters showed growth and awareness of their flaws, which I found enjoyable. From the first to last book it was fun seeing their progression. Eliza (one of the three MC) has been a storm of emotions, with a defiant/fiesty streak but in this book she appears more resiliant, I really enjoyed her character in the book. There are a few side characters that I would love to read more about. Michael and Rob being two of them. They seem like interesting characters.
I hope to read more from the author and I recommend this series for fans of YA action/romance as the series is in the vein of series such as Divergent or Twilight, though some of the language and situations are more for an adult audience.
