Reborn #5

Ruling in Flames

Rate this book
I was dead.

At least I thought I was. I should have been…but when I wake up in an odd realm with only Anani and Azrael to tether me to reality, I realize that this may not be the end. That I have a larger purpose. One that includes saving everyone from the dragon god that was responsible for my death.

All I have to do is find the strength to be reborn.

Ruling In Flames is the final installment of the reborn series and will end with a HEA for our main character and her men.

This is a slow/medium burn fantasy RH that features a naive but strong MFC with a troubled past and a secret about what she really is. Come meet Maya and her protective and possessive dragon shifters!

Warnings: Please be advised that the book contains darker themes such as child abuse, PTSD, swearing, and violence. Additionally, sexual themes are suitable for mature audiences +18.

🌟🌟🌟🌟💫4.5 Stars

I loved this series! However, the last book wasn’t what I expected. The main fight against the biggest bad guy happens in the first few chapters, leaving the rest of the book feeling like an extended epilogue, but it is still satisfying.

Series Review
World-building: The world-building is immersive and well done. We learn about Earth's supernatural and Dreki worlds, the council, and the supernatural hierarchy gradually, without info dumps. M. Sinclair excels in making this world engaging.

Character-building: The characters are well-developed with distinct personalities and backstories, making them feel natural. We learn about them slowly, along with the FMC.

Relationship-building: The emotional connections between the FMC and her eight mates are strong and genuine. Unlike many RH books, the relationships are more than just physical. No bullying, no mates who reject or fight against the bond. These guys are all in from the get-go. I love how devoted they all are.

Now, about our FMC… I admit, I was a tiny bit annoyed with Maya in the first book. Initially, Maya acts pretty immature, which makes sense given her background of being locked in a basement her entire life. Of course, she isn’t going to act like a mature adult woman. Also, she’s 18…so she’s not a mature adult.

As the series progresses, she learns and adapts, becoming more mature but still retaining a fitting naivety. Maya acted as she did because she had no reference point for the world outside her basement cage. I liked reading about her journey. I also loved her over-the-top, super possessive, protective, and growly mates.

Medium steam gets spicier with every book; it is smoking hot by book five.

Anyway, I really loved this series, and I definitely recommend it.

3 ⭐ the whole series
I think it was the first time I’ve read something so contradictory in terms of slow/fast burn. Because it is fast burn, no questions, with insta-love and insta-lust. But, at the same time, thinks take such a slow time to happen, there’s smut only on the third book if I’m not mistaken and it’s only one or two scenes. With 7 mates (and another one that appears later on) I was with hogh expectations regarding the smut and the group scenes! Come on, if I’m reading a reverse harem I WANT GROUP SCENES FFS!
Anytime I was thinking: yesss it will happen hallelujah, someone freaking interrupted. And this doesn’t happen once or twice, but constantly. It’s upsetting.
Also, Maya needs to go to a doctor to see if she has anaemia, she sleeps all the freaking time! Come on girl, you have 8 mates WAKE THE FUCK UP! Whenever the author wanted to show sometime has passed, Maya was waking up. I have a lot of issues with the timing here, only three weeks or so had passed since everything happened, like I can’t.
Now let’s go to the last book:
God I hated the way the whole kidnapping thing went. I hated Ry (and not only because he’s the main villain cause honestly we don’t even have time to hate him, it’s just whatever). She kills him pretty fast. After that, it was like 30% of the book and I was: yes now we gonna have sometime of them being together and loving each other, and SMUT yay.
Not.
Malcolm escapes and look, maybe he is even more powerful than before. That’s bullshit and at this point I was already skimming to get to the ending cause it was a bunch of new characters, a whole new situation and so much happening but nothing happening at the same time (sigh).
What I wanted to see was development. I wanted to get to know the characters, their lives, past, pain and all that. I didn’t care about the whole: look there’s a bad guy kidnapping phoenixes wow, let’s deal with it. No! I wanted to actually see Maya understanding her place, her life, having a relationship with her freaking parents and family, and I didn’t want to see it all rushed in the end. In addition, there’s another mate, and boy I was surprised, and not in a good way.
Tell me, how am I supposed to like Az when he appears and BAM they are mates. And then I was angry as fuck cause I thought she was finally going to go into heat and YAY AT LEAST ONE GROUP SCENE AND THEN
SHE HAD TO WAIT TO BE MARKED BY AZ, THE GUY WHO TELEPORTED TI THIS STORY FOR NO REASON AT ALL
And again, zero development.
I didn’t love him cause I didn’t have time for it. Honestly I don’t even remember what he looks like. I was all too fast. And slow. Goddess.
I like M. Sinclair. It’s not the first series that I read, I’m totally in love with her other series Silver falls university, where the characters actually have conversations. I was hoping for that here and was disappointed. And it’s so weird because I liked Maya and her men. I felt sorry for poor anani who was forgotten a lot, also there are some parts that Croy simply disappears so... And I wanted to see more of Atlas and Sai, my favorites. I’m sad.

Maya had a really tragic youth until she was kidnapped and dragged across the country. She then meets a variety of individuals who are her mates, friends, and enemies. Overall, this is an okay story. It was definitely a quick read. There were sections that I skipped over as some areas didn't really advance the plot itself.

The good...I liked the characters pretty well. The underlying story was solid; although, I do hate when authors use one challenge after another for a character. It drags the story out more than it needs to be, and there were other directions that could have been used instead of having Maya kidnapped over and over again.

There were some things that were bothersome. The biggest one for me was the introduction of characters who were then dropped and never mentioned again. I'm okay with a character disappearing who has served their purpose, but when several are introduced and then never appear again, it is bothersome. Why were they even included? In the books, Malloy and Sean disappear. Nova and two of her mates are introduced for one scene and are then gone. Jordan's main mate is introduced as a friend of Croy's and important in addressing Maya's enemies, but then we never hear of him again or meet the rest of her mates. Even worse, if he was so good, how did Maya's enemies get away from him without him being destroyed? There doesn't appear to have been any damage to the mates or pack in this escape, which really doesn't work. Then, we can throw in Eleven and Maya's six brothers. There was only a brief mention of why Eleven was pushing them away, but not enough information for it to make sense. She cringes when Maya mentions her name, but again, we are never told where her name came from or what her background was that caused the cringe. Really just too many loose ends. Since there are no additional books and no indication of picking up these characters to have their own books, it make the entire series a bit disappointing to me because some of these dropped characters seemed like they might have really good stories.

I really loved seeing Maya come into her own power in this one. I did feel like there were some things that I never got answers to. Not necessarily loose ends, but I would've liked a more concrete ending. Specifically around characters like Anna and Becky and Nora. And her not-Aunt? Just showed up in book 4 and was never heard from again. Ultimately, I still enjoyed the read and would recommend! Achieved the HEA finally!

So sad to see this end

Going to miss this series. The downfall of Rys and Malcolm almost made the wait better. The epilogue and then the rest were perfect. Glad I ran across this series. I have reread the others so many times waiting for this one. Wish I could read more.

This was such a good ending to Mayas story, i loved it! We got left hanging on a big as cliffhanger in the previous book, this book picked right up after that brutal ending thankfully. What a journey Maya and her mates has been on, they have been thru so much and they finally got their HEA<3

This is one of those stories that you read and you're not quite sure why exactly you stuck with it so long. I read the first four books, though honestly multiple times I got bored and began to skim/skip paragraphs because there was way too much inner monologuing about things that weren't the least bit interesting.

I've been on a major RH kick for the last month now. I think the biggest reason why I gave this series a shot was because it wasn't a dark romance with the MMCs abusing the FMC or any bullying. There's a lot of trauma and mention of abuse in this series. Sadly, I don't think anything was ever properly done to actually help Maya overcome the abuse.

There are some parts of this series that are kind of sickening. Maya is still very much a child in many ways. She doesn't understand the world she's in and honestly is way too accepting way too fast of things. The author plays up Maya's naivety at times and tries to use Maya's innocence as a highlight to her personality, but it became annoying really fast.

I love RH, but this story just didn't feel like a good RH story. There are way too many guys in the harem, I'm sorry but it's true. After a while the guys stopped feeling distinct from one another and they all seemed to act the exact same way. The guys had a dark reputation amongst the dragons, but hell if I could figure out why.. nothing they did ever really screamed badass.

The quality of the writing isn't great, though not every story needs to be top tier it definitely was a very shallow story that was driven on drama and thin threads of another save the world plot. Maya and the guys all felt one dimensional and it was all instant love for everyone. They were saying I love you to one another within 2-3 weeks of knowing each other. Couldn't help, but roll my eyes at the guys being multi-billionaires who were also famous with paparazzi swarming them.

If I'm completely honest, I think the biggest reason why I kept reading was that I wanted to see how she meets her 8th mate and to see how that plays out... When that finally happened, I decided it wasn't worth continuing reading this and I decided to DNF at about 27% into book 5.

**deep sigh** This series means so much to me it was the first RH book I read about and voila I was hooked and read all of m.sinclairs other series she is by far my favourite author I know she will never disappoint with anything she writes. I loved reading about Maya and her men's journey I'm actually so sad it's finished but at the same time I'm ecstatic that Maya and her men got the happily ever after they wanted. This is the kind of series you will not just read once I will happily read this over and over again. So onto the final book (ruling in flames) we get introduced to a new mate! and omg let me tell you the first heated interaction for them two just WOW! This book has action it has romance and alot of steamy scenes! But what I love most about this book is how Maya has grown.... she's not the same shy girl from book one I love how she turned out in the in end I couldn't imagine a better finale to this series. I dont want to give spoilers so sorry the review is quite vague but honestly I laughed, I Got excited I got nervous and I got angry just like the characters in this book did it's like I'm standing right there with them. I will be honest I did she's a tear or two that their story has come to end but I'm so happy for them...well done m Sinclair another fantastic release and another fantastic finished series.

These last two books really dragged and kind of left me feeling ick.

I really hate the rush to have a family when the FMC is young and went through something traumatic. Soooo both the mating heat and surprise adoption of 2 kids were just… not my cup of tea. She’s flipping immortal, just turned 18, barely free from her abusive parents. It’s been only weeks since she got free but they need to have a kid RIGHT NOW.

And then there’s the fact that Maya is now queen of some new kingdom in modern day France (which made the whole epilogue of “I set up our financial institutions and Marco deals with our trade etc” laughable - dude you’re in fucking France). Yes. The girl who rarely has a critical thought in her head is now queen of everything because she asked super nice.

I liked the addition of Az but damn did he come too late.

I’m still laughing about how early series she really wanted a job and worked there like once but tells everyone about this great job she has.

So this was a bitter sweet series for me. On one hand, I loved all of the guys but on the other hand, there were too many guys for Maya to have equal relationships. Imo.

Maya was kind of annoying throughout this series. Like there is sweet and innocent and then there's Maya. It went a little too far.

I rated these books all over the place. From 1 star to 3 stars. But I did read them all. I did skim a but though as I felt like there was a lot of filler and stuff that was boring and not relevant to anything.

This review will be for both this last book and for the series as a whole.
There were so many loose ends and so many things in this story that were just unneeded. I know I will be repeating myself from the previously reviews of the 5 books in this series, but honestly, my thoughts haven't changed.

There are too many mates. I already thought having 7 was too many, but then we go and add yet another one? When have RH, it is important that each character be distinct and each have their own backstory. In one book, usually I would say the most to have would be 4, but you can have 5 if more than one book. This one had 5 books, 8 mates, and yet still couldn't give us hardly any background on several of them, and personalities all started to merge near the end, as well. This was just not handled well.

There were so many things in this series that were unnecessary. Why did she meet the Demi-God at all? Nothing else happened with them, so why was it even needed? It was just filler that took up more space. Jordan had slightly more of a purpose, but not much. Lorn was uneeded, as was some of her mates, honestly.

Something else I noticed in these books is that you go on and on with nothing happening and getting bored, then at about 75% is the climax of the book (rather than at the end or leaving a good cliffhanger to coax readers to keep going). Once that has been handled, you get a little more boring, then at the very very end, there is a minor happening for a cliffhanger. I think the author should have restructured things a little better.
This last book was about the opposite, though. Killed the bad guy early on, followed by extra things that didn't need to drag on as much, then a minor thing at the end.

Things with her guys took a long time, too. It may have just seemed like it, though, because the author had each of the first two books take place over about a week and a half. Then, in the third book is when they finally start getting together. That took just way too long, honestly. It doesn't have to be all sex all the time, like so many other series I have seen, but this one overcompensates in the opposite direction.

I am bumping this rating down to 2, for the overall series. I will not read it again, even though the story was OK, simply because there were literally at least 3.5 books worth of nothing and unnecessary things happening. Not to mention, the dreaded phrase of her knees breaking. So cringey.

Fiery Finale 🔥🧡
This is everything you could ever want for Maya and her harem in the final of the series 🥰
This book picks up right after the heart-wrenching cliffhanger of number four, but thankfully Maya Anani and Mr Kittens (😂) make it! But it brings a whole new dynamic to their harem as well as a mystery visitor who bestows upon Maya a fate she may not be wholly ready for 😬
Knowing the rest of her mates are waiting for her as well as the Dragon God whose been wreaking havoc on the lives of young Phoenix on Earth, Maya has to truly connect with her magic and unleash it to its full potential 😄
Maya has soo many choices to make including her role as a potential leader and where she might actually be best placed - thankfully she has full support of her family, friends new and old and the respect of those she’s saved ☺️
She also has her rather large harem who are more than ready to help her 🥰🥰 they’re also more then ready to help her keep gaining confidence in taking what she wants from them and boy does she get her kicks….those shifters +1 sure are possessive and obsessive over filling their girl 🔥😛
It’s been incredible to see the character of Maya grow throughout these series to an extremely timid frightened and abused girl to someone who has maintained her compassion and kindness as well as an iron will to know what is right and fight for it! She’s incredibly strong 🙌🏻
The two epilogues show her true nurturing side and really all you would want for a HEA well deserved for the Moretti family 🧡

This is one of those series that I almost didn't want to end but I'm so glad that the series is finished that I can re-read it whenever I want! I loved the journey that Maya and her guys went on together. Her growth throughout the entire series has been one of my favorites to read about. I love that her guys are so protective of her but it's even better to see her be protective of them.

After the devastating cliffhanger of book 4, we witness full stop what happens in the aftermath right away. We finally see everything culminate in this book, with Maya finally getting justice, pulling another mate in? Usuallllly I don't like a last minute "add on" but he fits! I also like how connected to Maya he is, so that helps a great deal. I also love that we get the guys POV, this isn't new but it's still one of my favorite ways that author's write.

Other things that I loved:
- finding the missing Phoenix's and dragons
- her mating heat 🌶️🌶️🌶️
- entering her role as Queen... to where though? (read and find out;)
- closure with Malcolm (woohoo finally!)
- more possessive / protective male behavior - Maya deserves all the love
- even with all her growth Maya is still compassionate and loving. I love that she never lost those parts of her

This series ending was *chefs kiss*! I love M Sinclair's stories and hope to see a few cross overs in future books? If you've been looking for a sweet FMC, and a harem filled with protective / alpha men, spice, drama, and a lot of growth. This is it!

What an amazing end to this wonderful series.

M.Sinclair is a seriously talented author to be able to take Maya through all the pain of abuse to a wonderful warm woman who still holds on to her innocence,  compassion and love.

Of course, Maya has the support,  protection,  adoration and possessiveness of all her mates, to navigate the final challenges to the future life together they so desperately want and deserve.

Book 4 left us not knowing the fate of Maya, Anani and Azrael. To all intents and purposes,  the Dragon God had killed them. However Maya is no ordinary Phoenix and before she is reborn,  she accepts her fate and learns how to kill the Dragon God.
Always at the forefront of her mind is the fate of the young phoenix's previously captured or hidden and how to keep all of them and her mates safe.

And those mates, phew! They get hotter with each book and we learn more about their histories and what ties them together. No big spoilers here, but the new dynamic with Azrael, well hold on to your panties!

Bella the kitten is still adorable and has her own HEA which is delightful.

This finale is a wonderful conclusion full of magic, passion, violence, healing and fighting for what you believe in.

A series to be read over and over again.

Well ya’ll. I’m sad.
It’s been so fun to read sweet sweet Maya and some of my favorite book boyfriends.
I’ve loved reading their story and I thought this was a fantastic conclusion to the series.

If you’re picking up where the the last book left off, you know we have quite a mess to sort out. Who the heck is Azrael? and is he joining the ranks?!😜 And what about my sweet baby Anani?? I’ve been anxiously awaiting and I was not disappointed.

Over the series we’ve gotten to watch Maya grow and overcome so much! This book really was perfect in finishing that journey of her becoming who she was always meant to be. I LOVE that Maya is such a kind and loving (and honestly naive) character and she didn’t have to change that in order to grow.

I’m gunna miss this group of guys ya’ll🥹
Some of my favorite parts of Sinclair writing are the ultra protective, sexy, (usually crazy) cinnamon rolls guys.
This series definitely started as a slow burn (as it should have in my opinion) but giiiiiiirl. The spice as this series has progressed has been spot. on.

Definitely potential for spin offs here and I’ll be crossing my fingers!
Another 5 star read for me from M Sinclair!

As you are well aware we ended with book 4 on a cliffhanger of massive proportion. Will Maya make it? Who is Azrael and want happened to Anani?!?!?! My fave twin of the two. The epic ending continues with Maya learning more about herself, her powers, and the men who love her. You ever read one of these feel good books where the FMC is just pure goodness and innocence? This is the book for your if you enjoy that. Even with all the baddies in the world trying to abuse Maya and her powers, her unfortunate abuse (violent not sexual) she still sees the world in rainbow colored lenses. I love FMCs like that, but that doesn't make her a prey. When she needs to step up and be a predator, man, does she show up. I am so glad the book ended this way. It was a true page turner and the story just flowed. I didn't feel like I needed to skim through or fast forward to the meaty parts of the story. It just rolled. M. Sinclair has truly done it again. Refreshing change from all the academy RH and still PNH with lots of dragons, wolves, and angels galore!

Beta/ARC read

This is the final book in Maya and her mates story and it breaks my heart to see this groups tale finished but this final book was absolutely everything I wanted.

I was very impressed how M. Sinclair handled AZ, he’s out late edition and although that’s usually not my thing, for Maya and Az it works and it works well. The love and the spice between these two is absolutely amazing.

I don’t want to take this experience away from someone reading it for the first time but we get everything we hoped for in this book from the nesting to the spice, to the HEA this group deserves. I hope we see them make a few appearances in the other hoard books but for now I’m more than placated with where we ended.

Maya will always be one of my favorite FMC and this series after 5 books holds a place in my hesrt that I cannot replace. If you haven’t read this series, now is the time since it’s completed. If you have? Enjoy this final book. It’s everything we needed and wanted.

Kudos M. Sinclair and congrats on finishing another amazing series.

3⭐️4🌶️

This book although enjoyable and entertaining was a lot of filler and some times boring and predictable.

About the characters:
-Even though I really liked Az, his character and his relationship with Maya felt a little rushed.
-Although I felt the trauma of the twins was solved to some extent we didn’t see more of their brother or his family. -Sai’s family trauma definitely wasn’t solved.
-I really didn’t feel Maya becoming a badass tbh.
-So although I think eight MMCs are great I didn’t feel the character development I would have hoped they had after five books.

The plot ending felt a little anticlimactic and tbh the whole 5 books to have been developed in 3 weeks although not feeling like it felt a little not credible.

I would have liked to see more of Maya’s and her mates life’s with Faxon and Kace growing up and a more extended epilogue with all of them interacting with their kids.

Although a little long for my liking, the series was a good PRH that I really liked and enjoyed.

To be fair, I had half a mind to DNF this series, BUT I didn’t. I liked the premise and I’m a sucker for RH, but honestly, I think this series could’ve been a trilogy or even a standalone. There were too many fillers, and too many repetitive moments. We get it, y’all worship the ground she walked on and that she is naïve. But daaaang….. It got bearable towards the last book, but I had to skim a lot of the pages. I liked the storyline but just the fillers for me were a bit too excessive. There wasn’t too much character building. We do get to see that Maya matured, but didn’t really do anything to heal her trauma. It was one adventure after the other. And there wasn’t that much distinction with the guys, only their dragons and accompanying talents were different. They all said similar lines throughout the series too.
That being said, I did finish the series, the last book was definitely the saving grace. I’m still not sure how I feel about the author’s writing style, but definitely has good storylines that I enjoyed.

Ruling in Flames

Such a magical and exciting ending of one of my favorite series by M. Sinclair. Maya has been through so much in her life, highs and lows, figuring out her place in the world and completing her bonds with all her mates. But Maya is still running from a past that won’t easily let her go, or let her find her HEA without more pain and unbearable loss.

But instead of caving into herself and pulling away from her mates she gains strength and courage from their combined love and strength. Maya finds another reason to embrace her future, and it starts with a fantastic dream…

If you loved Maya in the past, you’ll be happily surprised by her incredible and overwhelming need to embrace her future and make sure that everyone who she loves knows they are loved, and her future is as fantastic as we could ever dream it would be.

Why wait…pick up your own copy of this fantastic book, and be prepared to be swept away into Maya’s magical journey.

10/10 would recommend

The conclusion to Mayas journey was bitter sweet, but absolutely amazing. Her growth as a character was incredible, from book one to this last book she really discovered who she was. I love the strength she found and developed within herself, but how she kept that unique innocence/purity that made Maya so lovable. I feel like these days I see either a lot of badass FMCs who are assassins and completely capable OR the vulnerable FMCs who need the Hs protection. Maya was a new and refreshing type of FMC that I feel fits in her own category. I’m excited to see where her and *wink, wink OTHERS stories go from here, as I am sure they will make appearances in some of the other characters stories in the Horde universe! Thank you M Sinclair for building such an amazing universe and sharing all these amazing characters 💜 looking forward to conclusion in either Lorcan’s and Nova’s stories and hopefully the next generation to follow!!

Utterly captivating. Spellbound from chapter 1 book 1!!

I could not put this series down. I ADORED the amount of character growth experienced with each character, and seeing things through multiple POVs. I found it to be incredibly inclusive, with mental health, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, etc being accurately and compassionately written about. I would even go so far as to say I think I did a little healing of my own as I progressed through the series. Yes, there is amazing spice, but the plot is INCREDIBLE. There is mystery and suspense, romance, a touch of darkness, very intense and loving partners who are a delicious epitome of "touch her and die" vibes with a dash of "who hurt you", followed by them finding any excuse to spoil Maya [FMC] absolutely rotten. If you like fantasy, mythology, paranormal romance, why choose romance, and a really good mix of sweet and spicy this series if for you!

The final book in the series, and it didn’t disappoint! You can guess my reaction wasn’t the best with the cliffhanger ending from book 4, Dying in Flames, and having to wait for the last one to see what happens.
I’m impatient by nature when it comes to books lol. I absolutely loved this book and the ending…! Awww 💕
In the previous book we were left with Maya watching Anani and Azrael dying, while drawing her own last breath. Obviously, she’s a Phoenix so… yay, no true death.
Ruling in flames brings a lot of answers and closure. Ry and Malcolm, the missing dragons a Phoenix’s, if Maya will be queen to the Dreki realm, her mating heat. Oh, I loved every one of the guys! They’re so protective and possessive, and the ending… (sigh) I loved the extra epilogue. And won’t lie, I wish there had been more lol
I definitely recommend this series, especially since it’s now completely finished

This is the fifth and final book on the Reborn Series. I have loved every book that I’ve read by this author, but I have to say, this is probably my favorite series. There is just something about Maya going from this naïve, beaten down girl to this powerful woman that really struck a chord with me. The way that the author expertly wrote this characters and her story is just awe inspiring.

I simply loved everything about this finale. The characters, the storyline, the action, the surprises, the steam, and of course seeing the way Maya and her men finally get their HEA! With that said, the way that the book ended, I will be hopeful and say that we might see more of these amazing characters in future books, and I honesty wish that we do!

I highly recommend this book and series and will be greatly anticipating more stories from this fabulous author.

A great conclusion for Maya's story. I've loved and really enjoyed the whole Reborn series and this final book was no exception. The final chapter was such a cute ending and very fitting for Maya.
It answers lots of questions and shows Maya discovering herself and what she is capable of. She gets lots of time with each of her guys, and it was great to see them all grow closer as a flight. Including the new addition to the group. All in all it was a very enjoyable read and if you haven't yet read the Reborn series, go ahead and start it now! I'm looking forward to seeing if Maya makes any more appearances into the other books in this universe and if the cosmic god will make another appearance. Congratulations M.Sinclair on another fantastic series! You always manage to get so much character development and world detail into each story, it's brilliant.

Incredible

I love how M. Sinclair can bring an entire story together in such a way that it's smooth and enjoyable and you don't want to put the book down because you're afraid you're going to miss something this series was incredible there was a lot of romance and passion and and emotion but everything was done in such a way that you didn't feel bombarded by sexual innuendos constantly It actually was a true storyline that made it so much fun and because the romance was the way it was done you actually felt like it actually could be true how these men reacted to Maya. M Sinclair thank you so much for another series that blew me away and I can't wait to get the next series that you wrote You're an incredible writer I'm so excited to have the opportunity to be one of your fans

Probably a 3.25

I was just so bored by this stage and you have to turn your brain off because too many things make no sense.

The fight with Ry came out of nowhere and seemed pointless. Malcolm was uneccesarily slippery and once again, didn't play any real role.

Anani and Ledgers mum comes from a line of phoenix's, but isn't one. At no point does it say they're half dragons...

Maya wants to find these lost phoenix's, and what do you know, they're right there!

I really think this series just took too long, the added plot didn't need to happen. She could've just lived life with her mates while exacting revenge on Malcolm. This book also had more inner ramblings, just to make it a little longer...

And the heat... How disappointing. No group scene and just a few short flashes throughout. Don't even see them realise she's in heat.

After being captured and finding where some the phoenix’s were being held. Maya and her mates attempt to escape. By doing so it has the potential to end her life and those around her.
With the stone destroyed will the Dragon God win or will Maya and her mates find a way to survive and win.
I absolutely have loved Maya and her innocence and how naïve she is. Even though she was locked up and abused for 18 years she is still a gentle soul that deserves every little bit of happiness.
This book is the perfect ending to this series and although there were no cross overs from the other books you can tell that she will most likely appear in theirs.
Totally recommend reading this book and falling in love with a phoenix named Maya and her mates ❤️

Perfect ending to Mayas story!!

Ruling in Flames is the 5th and final book in the Reborn series. Its a paranormal, why choose romance.

I can't recommend this series enough!!!

We pick up where we lefr off in the last book and M Sinclair keeps us on our toes the whole time!! There is a new mate, Maya steps into a new role, and the flight faces down their enemies.

I love this series!! Maya, Marco, Anani, Henry, Atlas, Sai, Croy, Ledger and Az are all amazing together and I love how supportive they all are of each other. And M Sinclair knows how to write hot, possessive guys, i swear!!!

And those epilogues!!! Ugh my heart! I am so sad this series is over, but what a beautiful ending!!!
