She moved to Tennessee in 1996 with her husband and two children. She's been writing for as long as she can remember and is currently writing three different series. The Men of Clifton Montana which will be seven stories and The Bad Boys of Dry River will be six stories. The Callahans will be about four cousins. Although it is best to read the stories in order, all can be read as standalone. She is also writing four standalone books. Piper is on the run from an abusive boyfriend. She's in Clifton but is always looking over her shoulder. Sawyer is divorced from his ex, who seems to want to try again and keeps bugging him. When Piper sees Sawyer, she is definitely interested as he is with her. But will both of their pasts keep them from being together? Ms. Davis's stories are very well written and the characters are solid. I always love seeing past characters show up in each story. Maybe that is why I love series like this. There are some moments I wanted to smack Sawyer's daughter for being a "you know what" but she redeemed herself nicely. And the heart stopping moment when an event happens had me holding my breath. I loved the way Piper stood up for herself when the abusive ex shows up. He gets what he deserves!! *cackling laughter* LOL I loved this book so much and am looking forward to adding it to my bookshelves!

Piper Howard has left an abusive relationship behind. She tells herself she'll never trust a man again. When Sawyer & Piper meet, the attraction is instant. Neither is looking for a relationship but the sparks fly! Can Piper get past her abusive relationship? If her ex finds her, can Sawyer protect Piper like he says he will? I really enjoyed this book. Sawyer is a hard working man that has built business that he can be proud of. He loves what he does and doesn't have much time or interest in dating.
Piper is a very strong but yet vulnerable woman. I love that we got to see both sides of her. We saw her at her worst and then we saw her grow into the woman that he is. I loved the growth of her character knowing she was capable of doing things on her own but yet finally finding out what its like to have a tribe.
Sawyer and Piper were a fun couple to read about. They both have been burned in the past and are working through their issues.

The Love of a Real Man
Piper. Came through the trauma like a real champion. This story is so like real life. Women in abusive relationships are afraid of the person so much that they freeze at the site of their abusers. Many of the die from the abusers hands because a restraining order won't stop them. To me in.real life the justice system is broken when it comes to this type of crime. So many women that fight back end up in prison . I'm glad you wrote their side of the crime for them. I'm on to book number 19. I will apologize for the title of one of my reviews. It can be changed to Retiring the evil spirited woman.

The Men of Clifton!
Sawyer: Excellent, Hot, exciting, romance and very entertaining! Fantastic writing and wonderful characters. I love seeing all the regulars and seeing the single men find love whether it's for the first time or a second chance at love. I love Sawyer's love for animals and his healing them with his technic to help the horses. He is a great vet and a good man. Piper and Sawyer were the right match. They both for a second chance. I really enjoyed their story!

Great!
I chose this rating because this was a pretty good book. I enjoy pretty much all of the characters maybe except for one that was the abuser. This was a book of compassion, kindness, protection, humility, self-esteem, manipulation And finding the love of your life. I really enjoy Sawyer and Piper story. I think the author did an amazing job I put in these characters together. Sawyer was right by her side when It came to her telling some people about her ex the abuser. Great read! I recommend this book to all cowboy lovers and romance readers.

Bridles and gears on vehicles
A BRIDLE WITH REINS is considered 1 piece of tack. Western cowboys do not take their reins off the bridge every time they remove a bridle. They are usually tied on hard and fast. Get your gear figured out.
Gears in a vehicle! In order to drive any vehicle, you have to shift it into gear. You don't jam a gear into park. You slow down to a stop and shift into park. Figure it out. You sound like an idiot!

Review
After the last beating she ran. She already had a job 2 states away as hospital administrator . She had brought her 2 horses with her but one was having pain in his leg so she called the vet who suggested another vet who did hydrotherapy. Going to met the vet and checking out the facility she was dumb struck at the gorgeous cowboy..

love!
Absolutely loved this book. I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn’t put it down until I finished it! Love this series so much, I can’t get enough. Love this little town and all the couples and their stories. Can’t wait to see what happens next. Highly recommend!
