Allie cat, Beautiful girl, Alayna. She's my everything, the brightest light I've ever seen. I want to protect her, covet her, adore her.
But I can't.
How do I protect her light when the devil is dressed as our caretaker and he's determined to tear her apart in the darkness? That one was easy. You bring the house down on his head, even if that means you'll lose her forever.
I made my choice and protected her with everything I had left. Now I'm nothing more than an empty shell of a man. The problem? A new threat is coming and I'm not fit to protect her again. I need to bring her to the three guys I trust more than myself, so they can finish what I started and save her once and for all.
Save Her is a novella story that takes place before Save Me. It is best read between book one and two to avoid spoilers. This book contains triggering themes, please read the trigger warning before proceeding. This story is meant for 18+ due to adult themes and coarse language.

Reading Declan’s story from his perspective was gut wrenching and heartbreaking. I love him and hate him for how he chose to end his story. I’m glad we got to hear Declan’s story from his words though because understanding deep seated depression due to constant trauma and the effects of C-PTSD are so often misunderstood. He lived his life as long as he could fighting an never ending battle and while I wish the story could’ve played out differently I love that S. A. Mackenzie didn’t sugar coat her story for the sake of a happy ending because we don’t always get those in the real world. I can’t wait to continue reading Alayna, Rhys, Riggs, and Adams journey as they live their lives in memory of Declan.
This book got me very emotional since I already know how everything plays out. It was hard to read but it was an important missing part. I needed Declan pov to know more about what was he thinking. It was very sad he was an awesome guy and he loved Alayna so much. At least after reading this I got some closure and I feel that the story is more complete. Declan played a very important part in this amazing story.
S.A. Mackenzie don't disappoint this is another amazing book that will get you feeling a lot of emotions. Love it.
This prequel is great insight into what Dec and Allie went through and how they ended up where they did. Declan's story is heartbreaking and devastating, to feel so unwanted is a tragic feeling and all the emotion you just feel pouring from this book helps you to understand the thought process that he went through to make the decision he made; even if it wasn't the right one for Allie. The tragedy of this book leads you to the strength of Alayna's story.
Well this is the prequel to Save me. Already a heartwrencing story that I absolutely love. Declan pov helps so much but also I would read it after Save me which is recommended anyway since it'll make more sense if you know what I mean. I can't wait for more and hope S.A will continue to write awesome stories!
I knew going in this was going to rip my heart out. By the last chapter, I was a mess of emotions. Declan, oh Declan. Your story was tragic. I adored your dedication to your Allie Cat, and I wish it could have ended differently. This whole series is heart wrenching. You should read it. Bring tissues. Lots of tissues.
The love and devotion Declan has for Alayna comes through in spades. The pain and heartache comes of the page and two ages with the reader. I’m glad this was released after Save Me because I wouldn’t be able to handle not knowing how the story unfolds.
This is the prequel to this series and is told from Declan's POV. It is heart wrenching in the beginning and begins to give you hope that things will work out beautifully in the end. The ending wrenched my heart out and stomped on it, shattering it to tiny pieces.

This is a wonderful look into Declans story and how his life went after Alayna was taken from the abusive home. It's tragic and heartbreaking, but I felt it was necessary as it filled in some of the missing pieces. Better bring your Kleenex.
I'm so glad I got to know Declans side of things. I'm just so sadden that they didn't get to see each other before hand. This author knows how to get your heart strings strumming. Thank you. I had tears
This series is heart breaking but it also feels like I am reading a biography. Those that know me, I ow what I'm talking about and those who don't, well, I guess.you have to Get to know me. I feel awkward that.this book just ends abruptly.... But in with the show, I guess.
