A K-9 handler determined to prove she belongs. A detective with an unwavering plan. Can they overcome their painful pasts and accept the gift of love?

Tina West has spent her life feeling like she stood on the outside, but since taking a job at Stryker Security, life seems to be turning for the better.

Tina never imagined when she took a job as a nanny she’d end up training for search and rescue. Yet, when her boss shows up with a retired military dog and the opportunity to train with him, Tina snatches up the chance to help those who are lost. If she saves enough people, maybe she could find meaning in a life that left her with nothing but a bruised heart and a tarnished picture of family. As holiday festivities loom before her, she wonders if she’ll ever shuck the regrets that haunt her dreams and keep her from connecting with others.

Milo Bishop’s every move has been to take care of his mom and younger brother.

Since his father’s murder, Milo has worked hard to make sure his mom and brother were provided for. He joined the police force straight out of high school, took night classes so he could move up to investigator, and put his life on hold until his brother graduated from college. But when he is rescued on Thanksgiving Day by Tina West, his well-laid plans take a sharp detour.

When a series of kidnappings threaten to ruin the holidays, can Tina and Milo put aside their doubts and find the abducted children before it’s too late?

Can Tina trust her instincts when they’re put to the test or will children being harmed hit too close to her past for her to deal with?

Will Milo put his desires above his family’s needs when a chance at love catches him by surprise?

If you like nail-biting adventure, fascinating characters, and engaging stories of triumph, you'll love Sara Blackard's riveting Christmas romantic suspense.

The story of Tina and Milo just hit me one day, and I had to pause everything else to get it down. I hope you enjoy it as much as I loved writing these two!

What a joy it is to read one of Sara Blackard’s novels! Her characters are beautifully fleshed out to appeal to the reader. Her plots are believable and well constructed. And she shows us humor in the midst of serious – all without using crude language or sexual content, even though there is always a love story involved. All the Stryker Security Force books are about men who have served their country well through the armed services (returning with scars, both physical and emotional) and public service, and the women who love them.
You always do a great job, Sara. Celebrating Tina shows us how a simple job as a nanny can turn into something much more interesting and challenging AND there is always hope for love in your life.

Ms. Blackard has did it again! Another amazing book in the Stryker Security Forces series. This book is about Tina, you may remember that she lives at the ranch with the team. She was called in to be a nanny for Eva, but she has also had her life in danger from some bad dudes that wanted to get back at the team. Tina is learning a new role with the team as a search and rescue service with her new dog Scout. We learn a lot more about Tina in this book as her past tries to pull her down. We also learn more about Milo a detective in the police department of Glenwood Colorado. Tina has a personality that is somewhat timid due to the life she has had and Milo is a bit of a control freak so their personalities don't exactly jive. This makes the story even more interesting. I love the suspense in this book although it is a tough subject matter. I was totally off on who I thought was guilty because there is a great twist! I have enjoyed every book I have read by this author and I intend to keep her on my TBR list.
I received a free download of this book from the publisher. This review is totally my own honest opinion of a great book.

Tina is the nanny for Eva the daughter of Samantha at Stryker Security Force. After she was smack in the middle of a bomb scare she is now living on the Stryker premises as well. She is training with a search and Rescue dog named Scout to help learn the ropes. In doing so she is in the right place to rescue Milo, a detective who was injured while skiing and unable to get home. This is the beginning of a slow burn romance and a high intrigue story! Multiple crimes are committed and it is up to Milo and Tina and Scout. to help get them solved. Enjoyed

Tina had proven her toughness in an earlier book by this author, and she did so again in this new book featuring her, and her canine side kick Scout, in the starring roles. She and Milo, a local detective, seem to connect right away, but both have issues to deal with. However, something bigger than what either of them has going on personally is threatening the community. I enjoyed their story and its surprising resolution. Perfect to jump start the Christmas season.

Tina is training with her dog, Scout, to be a member of the Stryker team. While on a training mission, she rescues Milo. He is cornered by the responsibilities of taking care of his mother and his brother, who is in college, since the death of his father. I loved their story as they overcome the obstacles of their lives. This is another winner in this series. Couldn't put it down.

This is a wonderfully told story, weaving kidnap, surprises and romance together to create a really special story. It’s a reckoning with the past and a look to the future. All beautifully told and so enjoyable to read, not to be missed, with great depth, trial and a bright future, not just suspense and romance, so, so much more.

Wonderful addition to series!

The story of Tina is sad but full of suspense with some romance mixed involved. Sara Blackard has written another installment of the Striker Security Force that could not be put down. This whole series is one to not be missed.

I always enjoy Sara Blackard’s books. Tina has a difficult past that makes it hard for her to navigate relationships. She does not let her past determine her future. She “re-meets” her high school fantasy, Milo, who is now a detective.
As part of the Stryker Security Force she is in training with a dog. She is able to help Milo solve the case of missing children. There are some surprises and unexpected twists at the end.
This is a great read. It is nice to read a book that is not all about sex, but about people. I recommend this book when it comes out in November

This is the 3rd book of this series and like all the others,it is fantastic! Tina,is the only girl in this team and she does get teased but she's good at her job! The same characters in the other stories but if you read just this one it's ok,it catches you up. Will Tina find her true love and solve some personal issues? The characters take on a personality of their own where you so find yourself reading and reading.. I did! The scenes that some of this story takes on,you can actually picture them .. Follow Tina and her mystery crime situation and will she have help from her good looking cop friend and the dog in training!! Sara ThisBlackard has done it again and I sure can't wait on the new one to come!

I received an ARC to review: Tina's story is like the Tinkerbell fairy's story amidst the macho, hard core Stryker men! Strong, yet tender, Tina's happy ever after was sweet, thrilling and swoony to read; her self-imposed walls caved to the love of a man strong in spirit to match her.

I think I've loved Tina from the moment she joined the Stryker team, and I've especially loved her interest in learning new skills and taking on more than her initial nanny role. Watching the way the guys both make her part of them and watch out for her totally warms my heart--and makes me laugh, particularly when they take on the protective-big-brother role. Potential suitors, watch out! XD

It was heartbreaking to see Tina coming to terms with her past and realizing how much she'd let it define her, but I was proud of her for finally breaking through those bonds. Milo was also a very sweet character, and I liked the way his struggle mirrored Tina's in some ways. Also definitely understood his need to be in charge and take care of everyone! The minor characters kept me on their toes, not sure exactly what to think of them but liking and rooting for them in general. And I was almost positive I had the solution to the mystery pegged early on, but it turned out I was wrong about one detail--just the most crucial one, though, so...yeah, I had it mostly wrong. XP But wow, were the stakes high! I felt like I was getting about as frantic as the characters wanting them to catch whoever was abducting random children off the street. So creepy!

The romance was again a bit on the physical side, although in a shorter book with a lot of mystery happening, it didn't seem quite as prominent as in the other books. The backstory with what had happened in Tina's foster home was disturbing--though I did appreciate that we didn't get all the awful details. And there was one bit in the rescue scenario that I would have preferred to do without, where a guy and girl have to share a sleeping bag for warmth while waiting for rescue the next morning, and which only gets a pass from me because it was an actual survival scenario and it wasn't narrated or played up like it could have been. Still did make me uncomfortable, though.

Overall, even though the romance is a bit physical for my tastes, I'm still enjoying this series and especially these characters and do plan to continue it. :)

Content--a man and woman share a sleeping bag in a survival scenario (see above); kidnappings and hints at the probable fate of kidnapped children; mentions of sexual abuse in a foster home (not detailed); mention of a suicide; mentions of drugs; mentions of playing poker

A sweet holiday-ish novella featuring my fave security force. As I've come to discover, Blackard does an amazing job with the team dynamics. I cracked up laughing so many times during this listen. I really need to hear Rafe's story now because I'm curious to see what the team clown is hiding behind all those quips. Gotta be something there, I think.

This time though it's unassuming Tina who takes centre-stage. She's not exactly part of the elite team -- as in she's not ex-military -- but they have taken her into the fold. Tina's Eva's nanny (heroine #1's daughter) and she's been working a side gig learning how to train and work with search and rescue K-9 Scout. And I do so love a K-9 story!

A kinda reunion romance (they both had crushes on each other in high school but didn't know it) that starts out with a great twist -- heroine rescuing hero! So, adventure and then mystery and all the usual hesitancies that come with a budding romance. Oh -- and lots of sparks. Sparkly, electrifying, tingling sparks. :-) Milo and Tina could charge the town's Christmas lights all on their own.

I seem to be binge-listening to this series so we'll see how long I can resist the lure of the next book. I desperately want to hang out with this team forever...maybe they need an on-sight librarian? I should send in my resume. lol

Forgetting what happened when you trusted the wrong people would be a nightmare she never wanted to repeat - Tina

Out on a solo overnight with Scout, her rescue dog, Tina gets called to find a backcountry skier who hasn’t checked in. If that isn’t enough to gain your interest, then perhaps the multiple kidnappings, the nightmares and past history will keep you reading.

The past seems to have a way of circling around to open old wounds, but at the same time to clarify some of the mysteries. Will Tina let unforgiveness continue to plague her and thus ruin her life - or can she learn to forgive and move on?

This ARC of Stryker Security Force #3 was received from the author/publisher. My impressions and comments were in no way solicited.

3.5 rounded to a 4.
This is a great series with characters I love!
I really liked Miles and Tina I just wish there had been more connection between them. It felt like there needed to be more moments of connection to be believable. The case kind of took center stage in this one.
I still enjoyed the book and am excited for the next book!

I listened to Celebrating Tina ~ Stryker Security Force ~ Book 3 while on a two day driving trip. I bought it from Audiobook.

Tina lives at the Stryker Security Force compound and works as a nanny. She is also training a retired military dog as a rescue dog for the local rescue team. On a trip into the mountains to train her dog she finds Milo, her crush from high school and now a local detective in their town. He has a ski accident and she rescues him. This starts a relationship and she and her dog help with a case where local children are being kidnapped. Tina helps capture the kidnapper and several secrets are revealed making the ending as good as the rest of the plot.

When was the last time you heard of a nanny turning hero and saving the day? This is the same nanny who had the bomb under her car in Capturing Sosimo. She had guts then and she shines in her own story, Celebrating Tina.

The story opens with her in the mountains, training with her dog for mountain rescue. No fainting young miss, that’s for sure. Tina ends up saving the hero. Again, when has a story started with a heroine saving the hero? I was fascinated by this book, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

Milo is a wonderful hero, even though he needs rescuing in the beginning. He has a chance to redeem himself and becomes integral in helping to solve a suspenseful plot of missing children in the community. One second, they’re with their parents, and the next second they are gone. A parent’s worst nightmare. Tina and Milo eventually work together as a team to try to figure it out. The final discovery was shocking. There was a clever red herring the author threw in the mix, and I was really confident about my choice. Boy was I wrong. The reality was kind of sad in a way, but crime has consequences and justice will be meted out – just not to whom I expected. That actually made this story even better, because for me, I couldn’t say “I told you so’, and I prefer it when a book can surprise me like that.

Another aspect that this romantic suspense has going for it is that Tina and Milo aren’t strangers. They have a past in the town, and yet they really don’t know each other well at all. That changes during the course of the story. Some of the revelations could be a trigger for some readers even though it’s a subject that is shared as a past event. It’s still disturbing because it again involves young children. This time around, Tina isn’t a kid, she’s not helpless and she ends up taking an active role in helping the police with her rescue dog, Scout, at her side.

It’s not all serious though. The scene when Tina meets up with the rest of Milo’s family and shares why she has the car she does, made me laugh. The writing brought their reactions to life, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching her explain herself. When Milo met the men from Stryker Security, it was like having to meet the dad before taking the daughter on a date, except there were a lot of intimidating ‘dads’ facing Milo down and giving him ‘mean face’. Wow, that was fun to read. The little girl, Eva, is still as adorable and loveable as she was in the first two books in the series. I cracked up when she called “Uncle Rafe” a stinky winner. Too cute.

Through all the stress and worry about the missing kids, Milo and Tina have time to learn more about each other and slowly their love and relationship grows. When it comes time to show Tina just how he feels for her, Milo turned the romance factor up high and melted my heart. What a wonderful hero.

The wrap up was sweet and wonderful, and included a bit of a surprise from Rafe to top off the celebration. This story isn’t as action-packed as the first two, but it definitely compliments the series and was a pleasure to read. I enjoyed seeing a woman grow in strength and overcome a rough childhood only to find that her perfect partner in life had been in the same town all along. It just took a little hiking accident in the mountains to bring them together. Celebrating Tina was a good read and a nice romance story.

This is book three in The Stryker Security Force Series and it is Tina and Milo's story. Tina had been through so much in her life including being in a foster home but now she is part of the Stryker Security family that help people but she has got trust issues along with a lot of baggage that keeps her from connecting to people and that makes her isolated even when she has people around her that cares. Milo is in the police force and also makes sure that his mum and brother are okay and he supports them, when he is out in the snow on his own he has a accident and he is rescued by Tina and her dog scout. Tina had a crush on Milo in school but when she rescues him she doesn't let on that she knows him. Milo and Tina have instant chemistry between them but will it be enough for them to get over what they have been through to get a chance of being together and having a happy ending. I absolutely loved the characters and storyline in this book and I couldn't put it down as it was so well written and addictive. Sara Blackard is fast becoming one of my favourite authors and I have only read three of her books but they are such an amazing read and so well written and I can't wait to read more of her books.

Celebrating Tina is the third installment in Sara Blackard’s Stryker Security Force series. This is a romantic suspense. In it, Ms. Blackard follows the romantic journey of Tina West and Milo Bishop. Both carry emotional wounds from the horrific loss of loved ones. For Tina it was the suicide of a foster sister who was sexually abused by their foster father. For Milo it was the murder of his father when he was in high school. Destiny brings together when Milo is injured during a winter hike. Tina is out training her dog, Scout, as they prepare to be part of a Search and Rescue team. Despite their instant attraction, their emotional scars contribute to their sabotaging their happiness.

As in other books in this series, Ms. Blackard constructs a slew of supporting characters in this delightful and enjoyable read. I enjoyed this character-driven plot. Ms. Blackard expertly develops strong, but flawed lead characters. She builds suspense through her antagonists like Blake, Tina’s foster brother and the unidentified kidnapper. She includes a plot twist with the kidnapping of young children. She uses rich dialog and creates vivid scenes with descriptive language. The outdoor scenes of Milo’s rescue and Scout’s search for the children are riveting. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of this series.

We first met Tina in the first book in this series she was employed as the nanny for Eva and was the one whose car was blown up in the driveway but she is far more than that Zeke is allowing her to train in search and rescue and has even supplied her with a retired MWD. Tina hates family celebrations after the suicide of her foster sister on one so when Thanksgiving comes around she uses training Scout as an excuse to head out into the wilds. While she is out she gets a call about a man missing and she actually finds him without that much trouble and she is stunned to discover that it is Milo a boy she crushed on at school Little did she know the feeling was mutual the only problem is that Milo is now a detective and he basically hasn't had a personal life since his father was killed constantly making sure his mother and brother where fine but who was looking out for him. There is a strong connection between these two but will they act on it m Meanwhile children are disappearing from the town and Tina foster brother is in town are these factors connected. You will have to read to see

"Celebrating Tina" is a romantic suspense. It's part of a series but works as a standalone. Tina grew up in foster care and felt like she didn't have a family or really belonged anywhere. She knew Milo when they were younger and had a crush on him. Milo's dad died when Milo was a teenager, so he's super-responsible. He's so busy between his job as a police detective and caring for his mother and irresponsible younger brother that he had no time for romance.

Tina's out training with her Search and Rescue K9 when she's diverted to find Milo, who's had a skiing accident. Then he invited her to join his family for a Christmas event, and a child's abducted. More children were abducted over the next few days, and Tina used her K9 to track each child but was too late to save them. The suspense came from the danger to the children and the need to find them quickly. Tina's the one to finally figure it out and call Milo in. I liked that he respected her abilities and supported her. They generally worked well together, and I could understand why they were attracted to each other. There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I'd recommend this interesting romantic suspense.

A series that I really like. I was excited to get the chance to read Celebrating Tina.

Because I enjoy Sara Blackard's stories, plots and characters the books in this series is are always a fast read for me.

I love how many of the characters in the series make Cameo appearances in each book.

The characters in the series are all part of Stryker Security.

Each of the books in the series is a Romantic Suspense featuring one of the characters.

Tina ends up joining the group as a Nanny for Eva who loves Princesses and thinks everyone is a Princess. She has several Uncle's in the group that she wraps around her finger.

Tina story is as fast paced as all the other books.

The topic of missing children might give you pause but I will give one spoiler . . .

There is a Happy Ending

I enjoyed Celebrating Tina! I look for ward to the chance to read the books I have missed and the next book in the series.

I received it a complimentary copy.

Celebrating Tina is a well-written addition to the Stryker Security Force series. The main characters Tina and Milo knew each other in high school. They meet again when Milo is a police officer, and Tina is training with a dog for Search and Rescue. I found both characters to be very likable, and I was really wanting their relationship to work. The romance in the story is swoony, and the suspense is exciting. There are some sizzling kisses, but nothing more. It's a very clean book. There's the perfect HEA, and the mystery is solved. The plot had some twists and turns that I did not see coming. I would definitely read more from Sara Blackard and recommend her books to family and friends.

Another great story by Sara! Tina has been working for the Stryker Security Force as nanny for 4 year old, Eva, but she also wants to be a useful part of the team, so she has been training for Search & Rescue with her dog, Scout. While out on her solo training trek, she learns of a missing skier, Milo. When Tina & Scout find Milo, Tina realized this is the One she had a crush on in High School! Milo is a local cop & is slightly embarrassed to need to be rescued by Tina. There lives are intertwined again as they learn what happened after Tina’s trauma she suffered in high school and how Milo had wondered what happened to the girl with the glasses? But missing kids at Christmas time throws Tina, Scout & Milo together in tracking down the kidnapper. Will they find the kidnapper and will Tina & Milo have a chance of love?

Celebrating Tina is the third captivating addition to the Stryker Security Force series. Even though this book is part of a series, Ms. Blackard provides enough background information to make it work as a stand-alone. Tina West is a nanny who also trains her dog Scout to work along with the Stryker Security Force in search and rescue. She has a painful familial past to overcome and struggles with trusting others. After rescuing him, her life becomes intertwined with high school crush and detective Milo Bishop who has struggles of his own. Adventure, intrigue, and romance ensue! I enjoyed this well-written, suspenseful story which twists and turns on its way to a surprise ending!

I love a story with a dog! This is a very special search and rescue dog and together Tina and her dog try to find the children that are suddenly disappearing all over town.

I was surprised in one place where the dog was giving them signals as to a hit on a smell and because they weren't on an official search, they just wrote it off to weird behavior - at least until the third or fourth time it happened, then Tina got a clue and realized that the dog was telling her something! I was very happy when Milo and his partner showed up to help Tina when she ran headlong into a dangerous situation. Phew!

I've really enjoyed this series and am looking forward to the coming books! This is a clean read.

A wonderful addition to this series. We meet Tina earlier in the series and know danger does seem to find her. In this book all about her, she is sent to find Milo who was injured and lost in the woods. This ends up being a second chance romance for her because she had a crush on him in high school. They attempt to date but every date seems to end in trouble when a kidnapper is on the loose on their town. I did not expect to culprit but it was good. Glad to see some things work out for Tina because she has had a rough life. Milo is really such a great guy, taking care of his widowed mother and younger brother. He is so sweet with Tina too and just the description of their kisses makes me smile.
