the writing had similar vibes of lauren asher books (which personally isn't for me) but if you like her books you'll prob like this one!

Anissa and Logan, and my long absolutely delirious in love heart! They were so charming, delightful, fun, emotionally strong, well-developed characters, filled with songs, wit, banter, laughs and love that I couldn't help myself but fall for them.
It was just something about the chemistry and enigmatic personalities they both held, despite being at different ends in life and with their own responsibilities in life, that helped them connect, banter, and love that made me wish I had something like that too.
This was my second novel by Swati and I absolutely adored it, loved it, cried and laughed with it, and wished it never ended.
The writing and the way they both overcome challenges of their own and outside their control and how they come together made for an amazing and spicy and absolutely romantic story that I always love to read when it happens in a novel I read. Plus the banter, Logan's kid (god I loved that kid), Anissa's marvel movies (go marvel! hehe) and her cute old dog, made for a heartwarming and way too cute story for me to ever quit at any point.
Overall, a totally amazing read and I hope to continue to read more by Swati.

Yes. Yes. YES! Everything about this passionate romance is what I’ve come to expect and looove about this author’s work.
Anisa and Logan were childhood friends. Anisa was wild and free and Logan coveted her. But Anisa moves away and after a few years they stopped talking. In the present, Anisa is 22 and recently moved back to her home town. Logan is a famous DJ and a single dad (handled WONDERFULLY). From the very first moment they meet again sparks fly. I literally devoured this angsty, sweet love story. Every moment in this book was charged with tension. These two were pure fire and I reveled in their flames.
Logan has a lot on his plate and Anisa is still recovering from an emotionally abusive relationship. They have a lot of demons and truths to weave through and while Logan makes a butt out of himself, I can understand his motives and like usual, Swati gives us a swoon-worthy epilogue.
I have to say it. I think this is my favorite in this world so far. Lainey (Logan’s daughter) is truly a shining star and I’m just…so happy right now.

My Perfect Remix is Swati M.H. third book, let me tell you, that she stepped up her game tenfold on this one. I loved both of her other books, but this one to me was a special one, it was amazing. I am so proud of the brilliant writer she has become love you girl 🥰.
This new trope DJ Romance is so fresh and new we need more of it. I love listening to music, as much as I love reading a book.
I Beta read this book, and when I finished it in just two sittings I could not wait for you all to experience the story of Logan Miller, and Anisa Singh. I was hooked from beginning to end with their story!
The story starts in the present with Anisa and her sister Jeena moving her back to TX where they grew up. Anisa is a gifted animator, and web designer.
Then we go back into the past as we revisit their history together. She meets Logan and Wayland and all four become friends.
Logan and Anisa become best friends, then they falling in love, to boyfriend and girlfriend, life unfortunately steps in and separates them! Anisa moves away with here parents..... fast forward 10 years. Logan is now the famous hot DJ Access, with the fame, money he always wanted, and a father of a 4 year old cutest little girl - Lainey, she steals my heart and will do the same to yours.
This book is not just fluffy romance we have many emotional moments, it's romantic, beautiful with the special multi-cultural touch that Swati brings to her books. I adore Logan, Anisa and Layne there's so many special moment, quotes, lyrics, even comedy. It Steamy hot, they have some firework chemistry.
The story flows through seamlessly, perfectly done! Told in first person, dual POV, no cheating, no cliffhanger, and HEA!
I have to say that epilogue bonus was fantastic yeppppp 😁 I love that. Swati MH gives me one of the best satisfying endings to a book in this writing community. Her epilogues, and extra bonus chapters are epic, and should emulated.
🎶🎶 They say true love is hard to find. But I found it in blue, gray-rimmed eyes that stay on me long after I've left the room. I found it in a smile that forms even when I've said nothing funny. I've found it in strong arms that have broken my falls before I've even slipped 🎶🎶
I can't wait for what is coming next..... could it be Jeena and Wayland? Those are hiding a secret, they belong together I know 😉 !!

The way she decided she was worth more than being Logan's second or third or even lower, choice, had me cheering her. Logan's hot and cold act with her had me wanting to reach out and smack him more than once, but the way he redeemed himself was beyond swoony. Their journey, second chance, was not anywhere near easy, but that's probably what made it all the sweeter when they made it through to the other side. My Perfect Remix is romance just the way I like it - angsty, steamy, and full of highs and lows.

Is there anything better than a story about kids who were BFFs and finally get the chance for something more as adults? I love this premise so much, and this talented storyteller delivers it perfectly in a sweet, swoony, spectacular way!
Logan Miller and Anisa Singh were pretty much joined at the hip with souls entwined through friendship, bicycles, and jelly sandwiches. Then her family moved away from Austin and they lost touch. Now he's a music superstar and single dad to four-year-old Lainey, and she's finally testing her wings away from her family in a new job fraught with challenges.
Anisa has moved back to Austin to start her job as a game designer, and her sister has a big surprise for Anisa's upcoming birthday. She's taking her to the hottest club in town with the hottest DJ. A DJ who turns out to be her childhood pal, Logan. All those childhood feelings come rushing back to the surface, only to be overshadowed by an attraction so intense that the sparks could act as the light show for the club.
As you can imagine, this set up is ripe for all kinds of relationship pitfalls, and Swati takes no mercy on these characters. From a private Anisa being thrown into the limelight and Logan's trying to balance single parenthood with excessive travels to workplace harassment and an ex who won’t quit, this story unfolds in all of its raw, messy glory. It's a bumpy, twisted road which serves to make this an amazing journey to forever.

As a romance reader we all want something different when we read... some want nothing but steam... some want sweetness... then there are those of us that want to feel something. This is one of those stories that make you feel things. From the Prologue you are drawn into the world of Anisa and Logan... you get to experience the feeling of friendship and maybe something else that you can't quite name. This book puts your feelings on a ride that you can't stop thinking about. It takes you back to your first crush and makes you wonder what could have been.
The character development in this book is everything that I love in Swati's books. You get to know these characters and their hearts. You crave the characters... you want a Logan of your own... even if you want to smack him. You want to be friends with Anisa and her friends. You even become invested in the supporting characters which make you plead for their stories.
I can't say enough about how amazing this book is. There are so many moments that you get wrapped up in and don't want to come back from.
Another great story by one of my favorite authors!

Awwww this was a really sweet read! I love second chance and friends to lovers so much! Logan and Anisa met in middle school and became best friends. They loved riding bikes and skateboarding together…and eating grape jelly sandwiches with Logan hates, but pretends to love. And when Anisa’s family moves them from Austin Tx to San Francisco, they’re both devastated. They try to keep in contact, but they lose touch and grow up separately. That all changes when Anisa moves back to Austin and runs into Logan on her very first night back. Only he’s a world famous DJ, and he’s all grown up.
Logan is immediately strongly attracted to her, but he’s constantly traveling for work, and has very little free time as it is. Being a single dad is hard, but one who is famous and expected to constantly be at appearances is even harder, so Logan doesn’t want to start anything up with Anisa, regardless of his feelings and completely mixed signals, which start seriously pissing her off. She’s such a sweet girl, and she starts to get really fed up with Logan, rightfully so. She may know that his daughter comes first, but that doesn’t mean that she will settle for being last. As much as I love the way Logan loves her in such a pure way, I love that Anisa stands up for herself and others even more.
Logan is super sexy, his earnestness about Anisa and his adorable daughter are especially attractive. What is not attractive is his hesitancy to make things solid with Anisa, by trusting her and fully letting her in. And while I would have been a sobbing mess just like she was, I admired how she stood up for herself and put herself first. I would have loved just a bit more of the two of them happy together, since the last chapter and epilogue kinda rushed to conclusion, I really adored this novel!

“You feel me batgirl?”
I totally swoon over Logan.
I love a good friends to lovers story especially when they are friends from childhood. And add a single dad…This story had me feeling swoony, angsty and wanting a Logan of my own. Swati just has a way of story telling. I was engrossed from the very first page. I could not put the book down.
I loved Logan’s relationship with his daughter and how she was his whole focus. Logan maybe my new book boyfriend. I loved this story so much. I just need to know about Wayland Jeena….

This was an amazing read and I couldn't put the book down once I started reading it. Logan and Anisa were friends until she moved away and they reconnected when she came back home. The chemistry between these two is so intense that it will melt your kindle while reading. Will Logan be able to put his past behind him and have a future with Anisa or will his past come between them. Add this book to your TBR list and you won't be disappointed.

I see Anisa as someone who puts other people before her, and they seriously take her for granted. She was the sweetest. She was the best. Logan got me really irritated a few times, but I totally get where he's coming from too.

Loved this story! Logan and Anisa have been friends since they were young but Anisa moved away and Logan went on to be famous. When they finally meet again sparks fly but Logan has a daughter and life that is not his own but Anisa is so sweet she takes it all in stride until she can’t anymore. All I can say is thank goodness it’s not in two parts I would have gone crazy.

One not to miss
This book is a perfect remix! Anisa and Logan were best friends as children. They run into each other as adults. Both have hurdles they have to make sure they can get over to move the relationship forward. This is a quick and great read!

This was such a cute story. I totally loved all the tropes in it and how they fit together. Logan and Anisa were childhood friends and later they are separated. They when they eventually meet up again they are no longer kids. Logan is a famous celebrity DJ and Anisa is so intellectual. I love how you watch them rekindle their relationship. Logan is also an alpha and omg his possessiveness is amazing. This book was the perfect amount of sweet and spicy.
Anyways if you like single parent, celebrity, second chance, childhood friends to lovers and diverse heroine check this one out.

A very well written friends to lovers story filled with emotions and angst. The characters were so well developed that I came to believe I have known them my whole life. I became totally immersed in this awesome love story and definitely will be recommending it to my friends.

Friends to lovers is probably one of my favorite premise when it comes to books and movies. Add in a ‘second chance’ element, and you’re not going to get rid of me until the book is read.
The magic of Swati M.H.’s story telling in My Perfect Remix had me hook, line and sinker from the prologue. It gave us a glimpse of how deep Anisa and Logan’s history were, but because of circumstances beyond their control, they had to say goodbye to each other, a separation that stretched the span of ten years.
A lot had happened in those ten years. They now looked different and they have careers. Especially Logan who is a famous DJ. But one thing remained the same, their love for one another. Swati didn’t make it easy for Anisa and Logan to get to the HEA they both deserve and I was so glad. The complications sprinkled along their way made this novel very compelling read.
Congratulations, Swati, for another great book. You just keep getting better and better.
PS-I can’t recommend this book and this author enough. Please check this out. I promise you’ll love it.
PPS- I really love it when a little bit of an author’s culture and own experiences inspired a story. It felt genuine and I always learn something new. Aside from the great entertainment reading brings, I enjoy discovering new things.

My Perfect Remix is one of the best ( Friends To Lovers / Single dad romances I have read in a very long while .There is nothing better than a story about kids who were ways BFF’s and finally get that chance to have so much more when they are adults .From the moment I first met Logan and Anisa , they had my heart completely. The sweetness of their relationship, all the angsty moments as well as steamy ones , surrounded by off the charts chemistry and a spectacular storyline . I was on the edge of my seat feeling so many different emotions while reading . I cannot express what a wonderful story this is . It is truly a must read . A love story about being with your soulmate , your lover , your best friend . Just perfection

This was my first book by Swati and I really really enjoyed it. I haven't read a friends lovers book is a long time. This one hit the spot perfectly.
I liked how Anisa was into video games and art. We definitely need more "nerd" MC in the romance world. I liked Logan's relationship with his daughter and how made sure she was always first. I liked seeing Anisa and Logan relationship transition from childhood to adult.
I think book shows no matter how long it has been love is still possible. I think if you are looking for a easy, well written, and friends to lovers book this is it.

Swati M H is a relatively new author to me but what I have read I have enjoyed. This is a friends to lovers story about single dad Logan Miller and Anisa Singh. They knew one another years ago and now fate has put them back in one another’s past.
The characters had depth and their friendship was heart warming. I loved reading their journey from friends to lovers. I fell hard for Logan, totally swoon worthy. I was drawn onto the story and couldn’t help but fall for the characters.
His daughter Lainey was adorable and I loved the relationship that Anisa developed with her. However what happens when the past comes back to haunt them? Will it bring them together or tear them apart?
All in all this was a well written, emotional love story.

I love me a good single dad romance and then you throw in the second chance and I was hooked from the beginning. Anisa and Logan were childhood best friends and you could see the love they had for each other from the very beginning. This book was fantastically written and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!!

I loved that this book had everything I laughed, I cried, and I swooned.

I have loved Swati‘s previous books but I have to say Logan and Anisa are taking the top spot in my heart!

Anisa is such a great Heroine! She’s strong, independent & easily relatable. Although she comes from a tight-knit family who wants her to remain close to home & work for her father, Anisa leaves San Fran for Austin, TX to make it on her own. She’s definitely someone I would want to be friends with.
Logan is the sexy, sweet, talented DJ that rocks Anisa’s world. This Hero is easy to love. Even with all his success, he’s remained humble & kind. Logan does the best he can in juggling life’s responsibilities, but he was unprepared for falling in love. I’ve just added him to my book boyfriend list!
This unputdownable love story has mild angst & lots of steam! I’m dying for more of the side characters, especially Jeena & Wayland.

This is the first book I have read by this author and it most definitely will not be the last, I absolutely loved it.
Really easy quick read that really made me smile.
I loved almost every single character in this book so much, they all played brilliant parts in the story line. ( we are not adding Blake and Naseem to this as they were dic*S but I guess that means they also played their part well)
Logan and Anisa were a fabulous couple with an amazing past friendship, they just adored one another.

Best friends growing up, Logan and Anisa formed a bond like no other, until Anisa had to move away. Reunited years later, their friendship takes a turn for the hot and spicy!! However, with Luca in the limelight drama shortly follows. This was a beautifully written book and seeing the relationship between Luca and his daughter was so fun to read.
