I think I need a day or two to process what I just read. A lot happened at once and I’m feeling a lot.

I agree with Aella on the secrets.

I wish there was more focus on the physical aspect of the romance. 😭

I’m going to miss the audiobooks, I LOVE Aella’s voice and personality. I love Zepher voice too, and Sen’s is SO cute. I feel like I’m going to struggle with the names when I continue the series. 😅

I really Hope reading the book instead of listening to it won’t ruin the atmosphere.

(⚠️WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!!!⚠️)

Quotes & Notes/Reactions:

(Page. 22): “Thank you, Henera,” Aquilan said, his eyes shining with a proud light. “It was an honor to learn from you.” [EEEK! Why do his words make me so giddy?]

(Page. 31): My life was more than strange.

(Page. 45): “my girlfriend” [MY GIRLFRIEND? AHHHHH!!!!]

(Page. 73): Would it have led to the portals opened? [Thats an eerie thought.]

⭐️(Page. 81): “Shitsticks.” “This is worse than shitsticks.” “Fucksticks?” “Yeah, that.” [🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣]

(Page. 94): this was the president of the United States, and you didn’t ignore a powerful person like that. Especially when he sounded like he was about to tear his hair out.” [Lol. 😂😂😂]

⭐️(Page. 94): It was as if we’d graduated from being a small fighting team to a group of mythical who trained and helped others—consultants and experts in our field. It was weird, but it was also awesome.

⭐️(Page. 96): Air was my domain, my dominant element, and the one I still felt the most at home with.

(Page. 159): He would kill for me, and I would kill for him. We’d die for each other, completely seen and known. We couldn’t have kept secrets from each other even if we wanted to, but more than that, we respected and trusted each other with everything. No matter what happened, we were in everything together—our imperfect everything bound to each other for life.

(Page. 195): We were soon in the air, surrounded by elves, soldiers and mythicals ready to stop Cherisse before it was too late. [I don’t know if it’s going to work this time…]

(Page. 201): All I could do was try my best, as I’d been told many times.

(Page. 203): It was time to begin this fight. [Oh, no. I’m scared.]

(Page. 214): “You’re hot as a man, but I’d like to keep that to myself.” [Lol!]

⭐️(Page. 219): I’d killed this young elf. [ . . . ]

(Page. 221): Without warning, the tears fell, and I sobbed into his shoulder. [Im so sorry!!! 😭😭😭]

(Page. 222): The Face I’d briefly seen he’d looked a lot like the man in my photo. It had been a glance, however, and I couldn’t be sure. [What!? Your joking-]

(Page. 224): “We’ll find them first,” Zephyr said. “Whatever it takes.” “Whatever it takes.” [The emotions I feel right now.]

- I really hope reading the book instead of listening to it won’t ruin the atmosphere.

Cherise is a full bloodedp elf and the head of a group elves that act cultish in their resolve to open a portal to another realm where other elves reside, but ruled by a ruthless evil person.
Of course, Cherise does not belief that evil persona exists any more. And she is ruthless and so one track minded that she could not care in the least to kill and torture whoever is in her way in fulfilling the release of the elves on the other realm.
Which is where Aella became enemy number one. As are her bonded and other friends.
Thus the attacks on the elven and military increase and life again takes a turn for the worse.
Day Sworn is another very immersive epic fantasy that will have you reading non stop.
Enjoy.

Hmmmm.

No offense meant when I say this but I could tell Jess struggled with this book. I think as I get familiar with an author (after 8 books, lol) I can tell when they struggle. This was still an excellent book in the series and furthers the plot nicely. You are doing great Jess! Keep up the excellent work!

Dragon of Shadow and Air

I've read eight of the twelve books. I can't put them down. They are exciting, full of adventure. Boldness and love to each and others. A true hero even if she's half human.

Inside the mountain

Once again we return to that dreadful mountain to try to recover the tablet that was stolen. Only, maybe to realize, a familiar face to reappear as I find more questions instead of answers, about what and who, I may be.

Great read

This book was great. Lots and lots of action with each character contributing to the final battle. It isn't the end though.

Day Sworn

Absolutely into this series. Each book gets better. Aella and Zephyr must save the Elves from the Elves. They must not open the portal. Is she strong enough to prevail?
