Transmigrating To Become The Boss’s Little Fairy

Rate this book
In her previous life, Qi Ying had been saved from the bandits’ cave by the General, and subsequently became the General’s concubine. The General never lost a single battle, and songs praising him spread far and wide. In the end, however, the General was mortally wounded, and died on the battlefield. When news of the General’s death reached Qi Ying’s ears, she hung herself from the beams without a moment’s hesitation — only to discover, upon waking up, that she has transmigrated to become a 17-year-old deaf and mute Qi Ying.

The youthful girl is neither able to hear any sound, nor is she able to speak; and yet, her eyes were as beautiful as the pure, white moonlight, and her character was extremely easygoing. One day, she met a cold and aloof male youth, whom everybody was afraid and wary of — her General.

4/5 🌟

I've always been reading danmei and I think this is my first Chinese romance novel with hetero main couple. Now, I'm starting to add more of these on my tbr.

The bad boy, delinquent-like ML falling for a kind, sweet and academic FL trope, where the ML's non-existent patience and tenderness only surface when it's about the FL, such a cliche set up but will never get old.

Despite the ML being a delinquent and having a hot temper who snarls at everyone, he never really did that to the FL. He's a little tsundere when facing her, but he was never harsh to her. There's no toxicity in their relationship and I commend the solid trust they gave each other, especially the FL who always stayed by ML's side no matter what. The mutual devotion is very much present and their personality really balanced each other.

I loved the reincarnation flavor added to the story. It only served as a tiny background and the plot could go on without it, but that aspect added more sentimental value to the couple's relationship. I also loved that regarding the ML's past trauma, there's no forced forgiveness just for the sake of being the 'right thing to do'. It's more realistic that way. ML's attitude towards his father gradually mellowed and the hostility gone. He just chose to be indifferent and not put any of his energy on hatred, but the strain between their relationship is still there.

The romance is very sweet and cute, also very moving. There are times I almost teared up and there's a little angst, but overall, it's just pure sugar. Not sickeningly sweet but more pleasant.

3.5 stars. I'm usually not a fan of highschool romcoms because the schoolyard setting just doesn't really work for me but I was pleasantly surprised by this very cute novel.

This is a het love story and the transmigration plot is a rather thin excuse to set up the romance between the two leads, who are students in highschool. It's a slice-of-life, slow-paced, feel-good romance between a very sweet cinnamon roll of a heroine and a tsundere 'bad boy' male lead. Lots of comedy and tropes as the surprisingly adorable and wholesome romance blossoms between two lonely highschool kids. There's a rather endearing cast of side characters, and friendships, familial relationships and character growth ensue as the romance begins to change characters for the better.

I skimmed the second half as I've read enough webnovels to get the gist of it, but I really enjoyed the male lead slowly opening up and how wholesome it all is.

3.75 stars. Sweet and fluffy as cotton candy. It's not perfectly satisfying for some reason, but I love the self-indulgent, gooey sweetness.

I MTL this novel, so there were some parts that didn't make sense, but you can easily get the gist of it.

This was a cute, funny romance about a school tyrant who slowly changes because of a deaf, mute girl. Qi Ying, who fell in love with her general who saved her life, gets transmigrated to the present as a deaf and mute girl. She goes to school and recognizes her beloved general only to slowly realize that everyone fears him because he's a violent, rich bully who beats up anyone who bothers him.

Qi Ying ends up being the only one not afraid of him because she sees that he's a good person and is misunderstood by their peers. This leads to a bunch of misunderstandings, which is hilarious. For example, Ji Rang saw that some girls were bullying Qi Ying because she was getting popular for being cute and took her backpack to throw it away, so he made the girls squat on the sidewalk and do her homework for her. Then, a rumor went around the school that the school tyrant changed his punishment method and were making people do their homework, making teachers happy lmao.

Throughout all of the fluffy romance, you slowly uncover why Qi Ying is deaf and mute and why Ji Rang became a school tyrant and how they slowly work through their problems with each other's support. The character growth and their small victories were just so heartwarming to see.

This book was so fluffy that I needed to read more fluff to feel satisfied lol.

I also found out that is a side story to My Crown in Entertainment Circle, so I might MTL it as well because I want to see if Qi Ying and Ji Rang will appear as side characters.

(edit) : previous rating - two.five stars

It had a slow beginning and I was probably frustrated back then (2021) to give this book the love that it deserves but I'm glad that I didn't miss out on this!

SECOND TIME READING OF - 穿成大佬的小仙女

A wholly translated novel with 98 chapters accompanied by 21 extras featuring a budding high school romance between Qi Ying who has re-opened her eyes in an era where her General is still very much alive and Ji Rang, dangerous General turned notorious high school bully.

Don't dismiss this read. If you hold prejudice that the male lead must hold a cold attitude or be a scumbag then nope - Ji Rang undergoes a massive character development. Haunted by childhood trauma, Ji Rang never thought that someone would one day enter his life with trustful eyes. Someone who's willing to go to any lengths to stay by his side. Love makes his bleak world more colourful and he works hard to catch-up to his little baby so that he can see his name just a little closer to her's on the results notice of their highschool.

Quite a wholesome read with little bit of everything for everyone - angst, comedy, family drama, fluffyness, friendship and romance.

I won't be surprised if this was chosen for a drama adaptation since it has all the right elements. Recommended!

I have finished the main story and currently reading the extras (Ch. 104). I have to say that this was very different from what I expected. Even though it is set in the same world as "Wife Fan" and "Heaven's Greatest Plan" it has nothing to do with showbiz.

This is a "puppy love" story. They fall in love while they are still kids in high school, and the relationship is developed very slowly, since in China it is a big taboo for underage people to be in a relationship. So they don't really get together until they graduate which happens towards the last quarter of the book.

Even though it is a "puppy love" story (or maybe because of it) it is a very sweet story, with lots of sugar to spare. So definitely a good read if you just want a cute, sweet story. There isn't a lot of drama and not really any "bad" character or much face-slapping.

There is only one instance of crazy drama which I didn't like at all and felt like a ridiculous outburst of violence, which was totally contrived and honestly just there to force the main character into a career path that he would have NEVER done otherwise. I felt this was unnecessary and a bit ridiculous, but other than that the story was pretty good. The transmigration does not play much of a role at all other than being the main reason the MC sticks to the ML.

A short romance novel that begins with soul transmigration from the warring past to modern China. The main and supporting characters are believable even in this overused fantasy genre. This would still be a decent (3.8 score) novel without the flashbacks to historical lives. The story mixes past traumas of fated lovers as they come of age in their school years. There is enough laughing out loud humor and plenty of tragedies. There is a feel good atmosphere around the group of school mates that this reminds me s little of the Korean TV drama, Reply 1988.

It's fun like any other chinese fluffy romance novel (please bear in mind, I'm into fluffy and happy ending romance story, so it might be a bias), they're pas lives story were heartbreaking yet cute and delicate. I would say 4, but on middle-to-end parts, I got kinda bored and dropped the book for awhile. Definitely recommended!
