assion Fruit has a tough outer rind, but a juicy center. ZAIN Being a bounty hunter in Paradise is not as easy as it sounds. Which is why Zain doesn’t do a lot of talking, he would rather use his fists or pull the trigger of his gun. And he never gets emotionally involved with women nor aspired to have the traditional idea of a nice family and a house with a white picket fence.
Then, Nadia moves next door. Her sexy presence instantly makes him drop the bad boy persona. Her sons tug at the soft parts of his heart. While Zain usually doesn’t date woman with kids, he’s rethinking all his earlier views.
NADIA Newly-divorced, Nadia’s mission is to rebuild her life and be the best single mother for her two sons. Nothing will get in her way. She’s started an awesome job. Her father has moved in with her into a new neighborhood to help her out. And her bestie lives close by.
The only problem is next door. Her tattoo-covered neighbor drips with masculine gorgeousness and has begun turning on serious charm. She’s doing her best to concentrate on her mission, but with each meet, passion rises in the air.
Kenya Wright wrote her first novel during her third year at UM Law school. She dropped out a month after the release and never looked back.
Words are power, and Kenya wants to be the greatest wizard that ever lived.
It's an audacity to inspire and teach the healing of love through arousal.
It's this crazy idea that love can not only help a reader escape, but the story can also teach the person about being human, while making them laugh, cry, and hot for more sex.
This story is too short and ends abruptly, and frankly, it seemed like a set-up for a full length book, though no mention is made of one. Still a fan of this author!
I really enjoyed this short, funny, sexy book. This book has a story in a story and the main characters Zain and Nadia are total opposite but work well together. You could feel the chemistry between them coming off the page. Kenya Wright did a fantastic job weaving the secondary sexy story in such a way that it added to the overall spiciness and build-up to the plot in Passion Fruit. This was my first time reading a romance book with a bounty hunter and I'm left wanting to read more books with men and women in this rough and tough profession.
Every time I read a Kenya Wright book I'm taken on a journey that's so wild, amazing, sinister, sexy and wicked that I don't want the story to end. And doggone it "Passion Fruit" is definitely high up on that list! Can I just say Zain & Zachary are two delicious tall vanilla milkshakes that should be enjoyed slow and served everyday all day. The fire that ignited between Zain and Nadia was unstoppable. That business about not getting involved with neighbors was not in Zain's playbook. Nadia didn't stand a chance. This book, even though it was short, was full of Kenya Wright's masterful touch. She brought all her tools to make this book one heck of a Lunchtime Chronicle. Zain & Nadia DEFINITELY deserve their own story. Kenya Wright has done it again! 5⭐'s
Nadia and Zain may have been a better story had all of the pages been devoted to them. For a short story to detour by including lines from a book one of the characters is writing means even less pages for developing what's going on between Zain and Nadia. More about almost anything else related to them could've done more good I thought. Otherwise, Zain is a stand-up guy and Nadia might as well had not sworn off dating neighbors for as long as her resolve lasted but they're decent and likeable. Zain had some lines that were chauvinistic and made me screw my face up a little but didn't cause me to dislike his character so that's a plus.
It's been a minute and a day since I've read a Kenya Wright book. I enjoyed the fact that it was a short story and the passion between Zain+Nadia. I also loved Brandy being the nosy, loud friend, Cory being protective (but from a skewed point of view that needed to be corrected) and Trey just being the easy going, lovable, favourite son. His character made me smile.
What I wasn't a fan of was the abrupt/open ended ending. Then, I thought Zain was white? In my head he sounded and acted like a black guy. Or was he a mixed baby?
I enjoyed the aspect of an author within a novel and the fact that Nadia's writing within the book felt simplistic and yet distinctive enough from K.W. writing of the characters.
Nadia didn't date neighbors and Zain didn't date single mothers. But, they were too tempting to resist each other. To Zain, she was a beautiful temptress that could cook too. She reminded him of his mother and how she handled her boys. To Nadia, he was the perfect maintenance man I every way after he conned her into their first date. He enjoyed being around her boys. Who were very protective of their mother, especially the oldest one. They reminded Zain of he and his twin brother.
I enjoyed reading this story. Corey and Trey were typical brothers and so were Zain and Zachary. Nadia's best friend /soror was so funny. She really told it like it was. I could have read a little more about the writer and bounty hunter. I felt as though it ended too soon.
I was just loving these two. They finally had finally crossed the we're more than neighbors line. fantastic date as and mind-blowing sex, a shootout, and more mind-blowing sex and then it was over. I was loving this back and forth flirting because he made his feelings known from day one that he was her maintenance man and would maintain everything. everything. and would more than happy to tickle her fancy. and also wanted to be there for her boys because his mom was a single mother, and he understood her boys. and then it was over. (you can't see my tears). I loved them.
What a lovely end to this wonderful series of Lunchtime Chronicles 2021. Nadia is new to Paradise City and moves in next door to her neighbour Zain. Zain being ever so helpful, offers to help Nadia get her house sorted out and settled in. What could the Bounty Hunter and Writer have in common? Well what else but Passion to start with! While friends are cheering them on from the side lines not everyone is happy that they are drawing close. I loved it. Great book and lead into the Paradise City series.
I WANT ONE! My goodness. I really need to find a city like Paradise so when I move into my home, I'll get a neighbor like Zain. The connection Zain & Nadia have is so tangible, even across the pages. He made sure to be whatever & whoever she needed. Her personal maintenance man, for home and for her body. So freaking hot. And her profession? WOW! I really appreciated the story within (is there really a story with Angel & Christian? That was fire). At any rate, Nadia and the boys are EXACTLY what Zain isn't looking for...A ready made family.
This was surprisingly good. I have read a few that was boring which made them seem long. I really didn't care about Dimi, but hey. Dimitri has his own story. Authors make me sick putting an excerpt of another book at the end of one book. It takes away from the story you just read. That's what you think readers want? Funny. Okay, back to the story it was funny, too. Brandy was hilarious. Loved this book!!
I really enjoyed this short story. I wish it would have been more to the story but it was very good. The chemistry between Zain and Nadia was smoking hot 🔥! Loved the characters and their storyline was very entertaining and believable. I highly recommend this book to my fellow romance readers you will not be disappointed. I loved the story within a story it was very interesting.
Passion Fruit is definitely a hot and steamy story.Nadia and Zain are from two different worlds. The body chemistry from Zain and Nadia had me wanting more. What I loved about this book was that Nadia was a writer and a mom and it was relatable. I loved how Kenya wrote a story within a story and she introduced readers to new characters. The sex scenes were off the charts.. I highly recommend this book and it's a five star read.
I hope these two get a second book because I did not feel their story ended. Brandy and Zachary need books of their own because they are hilariously funny and sweet. My favorites were Nadia’s boys, both of them. One acted the head of the house while the other was levelheaded and reasonable.
Another delicious entry in the Lunchtime Chronicles! Ms. Wright is right on point, as usual. Such richly drawn characters and plot and a bonus story within a story is pure fire! I love the female bestie and twin brother supporting characters so much! Zain and Nadia-the romantic leads-had me smiling wistfully and swooning the whole time.
Zain and Nadia were awesome for each other and although they were both reluctant, desired one another even more. I have to admit that the ending left me wanting more... Did the kids approve or did Cory warm up to Zain? What was Nadia's ex's reaction? What about Brandy? I could totally see her having a fling with Zachary, but we'll never know...
I'm enjoyed it and wish it was a full book 📖. The book 📖 she was writing ✍ seemed good and I hope it becomes a full book. Who knows maybe this book 📖 🤔 will be released as a full book. It feels like it was rushed to be short. It was still a good book to read 📚 just I wanted it to b a full book
Kenya Wright can do no wrong!!!! This was fabulous, it was funny and it was sexy!! Single mom Nadia and her two boys move into a new neighborhood where they meet sexy bounty hunter Zain and then the fireworks begin. I just loved this story!! Who was the inspiration for Brandy and Zach, they made me laugh out loud. “Gun with no bullets.” I’m sorry that was funny!!! Great job Kenya Wright!!!!
This was a short and sweet read. I enjoyed the courting of this single mom by the big bad bounty hunter. Or at least that's what KW wanted you to think about Zain. He was actually a teddy bear ready for love. I loved Cory's protective nature towards his mom and Treye's open heart. This was a feel good story that wouldn't mind reading more of
I enjoyed reading Lunchtime Chronicles Passion Fruit!! It was quick, sweet a little suspense and steamy. I liked the telling of a book within a book. I like all the characters. Nadia's kinda reminded me of someone. This was the final book of season 4 and I loved it. This is a series that I recommend you read!!
The story had an exciting start with characters that I want to know more about. However, the story was limited to getting to know the new neighbor. I craved more of the excitement shown in the beginning. I also noticed that the new Lunchtime Chronicles ended with an HFN and not a HEA. An enjoyable read that left me wanting more.
Really enjoying these short stories but they area bit too short. I felt drawn to the characters and couldn't wait for them to find themselves together then it's over.
Really like Kenya Wright's style of writing, she brings the characters to life and you want to root for them. Great job but I really wanted more.
So good! As a single mom with 3 years under my belt... I felt Nadia on so many levels! But my neighbors don't look nothing like Pain so I guess I will just keep reading! Great storyline and hot AF characters! Lil Cory was serious bout his mama! From the Governor to Paradise....I gotta clone myself! Great job Queen!
A steamy story within a steamy story in a place called Paradise. A good idea that was enjoyed. I didn’t want to read this initially b/c of all the things that come along with dating parents but it didn’t detract too badly from the main plot. It was pretty hot. It ended somewhat abruptly, at an unexpected spot in the story but it was enjoyable.
India was new to towns during the neighborhood. She had rules I. Place to protect her heart. Lotta good they did her once she got a load of Zane next door. Zane was one fine looking neighbor/handyman.
Enjoyed my lunchtime read. Was looking for more. But had to remember this was a quickie. The short story that Nadia was writing was hot.
This was a good short read. Main and Nadia was ok but they kinda contradicted themselves when she said she don't date her neighbors and he didn't date single mothers. The ending was kinda sudden to me tho. I loved Cory, he didn't play about his mama and Trey was a sweet cutie pie.💕💕
