I have it bad for my grumpy boss.

Mr. Mavis is thirty-five.

He shouldn’t be grumpier than an old man complaining about the summer heat.

I witness his tender side when his daughter’s around.

I’ve watched the grump from afar for years.

I’m the reason he’s the way he is.

As much as I want a second chance with him, I know that can’t happen.

Secrets, lies, and tragedy keep us apart.

I think Posey did an excellent job. A surprisingly heart-wrenching story of past love and renewal of love. And it was all done in such a small amount of pages. Great execution.

Sensational

This story is captivating from the very first page to the very last word. Red Moscato is an office romance with a grumpy boss and a secret baby. I could not put down this book; it's entertainment and excitement from the get-go. The heroine Eden is sassy, and the hero Alx is a single dad. Lawd almighty, the story is juicy. Alex got Eden's best friend pregnant and married her....did I not say it is juicy. I enjoyed the plot, the characters and the flow of this book. Oh yeah.... it's steamy for days. Alx had 17 years of pent-up frustration, LOL, if you know what I mean.

Axl and Eden was out through the ringer

Axl and Eden met while on spring break. They fell in love and planned to attend the same college. From there they were planning their future. But it was not to be due to an overbearing parent thinking they know what was best for their child. One action that changed the course of so many lives.

This lunchtime chronicle was full with sorrow pain deceit lies avoided kidnapping and then truth justice and a reunion.

Mixed feelings

The premise of the book was interesting and I like the Hero, Axl. Although he made a “mistake “ in college by being sloppy, one can understand his behavior as 1/ he was a young adult and 2/ he was heartbroken and kept in the dark. I enjoyed how dedicated he was to his daughter despite the circumstances of her birth and was amused by his grumpiness. Clearly, he hadn’t recovered from his broken heart.
Eden though I couldn’t like. Sure everyone would feel compassion for what happened to her, however her lack of character and fortitude afterwards was grating. I like my heroines with more backbone. I could understand why she didn’t say anything to Axl at first. She was young, terrified and recovering from a terrible ordeal. However, entertaining his roommate, not confronting him before things went too far with her “friend”? Questionable. The worse for me though was not telling him the truth at any point in 15 years. While he was married maybe but afterwards?
Her stalker behavior I.e working for his company made no sense if she wasn’t going to come clean about anything? Why torture him?
Overall I guess two things turn me off the most. I know she paid for a PI but I didn’t feel like she’s done enough to find her son, if only to make sure he was ok. After all, all she knew what what her father said, not the most trustworthy person. Staying with the same PI for years, when you’re not getting results, not talking to her grandma or Axl who is rich let’s not forget, so they could help pay for someone else to find the kid turned me off. She wasn’t a child then.
The second thing was her relationship with her parents. If my parents had robbed my child there is no way I would be in their life again and I would certainly not have kept their secret if my grandmother or brother asked me about the cut off.

Moscato was a great story. Eden and Axl's story was very heart-wrenching but it kept me reading. Axl and Eden had so many odds against them that you couldn't help but root for them. At first, I didn't care for Axl but the more I read about his story I understood why he was so mean and grumpy. Eden's story brought tears to my eyes and I felt so bad for her. Once the secrets were revealed it got worse. Posey put her heart and soul into this story. I give this book five stars. I highly recommend readers read this book.

Love Delayed, Not Denied!!!

This book was everything that I've come to expect from a Posey Parks book!!! Axl and Eden met and fell in love with each other when they were teenagers. However thanks to contemptible people they were torn apart. The lesson from this story is that love can be delayed, but it can never be denied!!!

Don’t Mind Me

Eden and Axl started off hot, but higher powers decided that that wasn’t sustainable. Now that they’re adults, nothing stops them from trying again.

The Lunchtime Chronicles is the most I’ve read Posey Parks, and, while I’m sure I like one of her previous installments, I did a lot of skipping with this story. I felt like there was a lot of telling going on, and the flashbacks did not transition well. I liked the characters initially, but not so much by the end. There’s really no weight to any feelings held by characters that aren’t Eden or Axl.

However, I know other people liked this, so don’t let my review hold you back.

Life does not always go as planned

Especially when one has controlling parents and so-called jealous friends with an equally resentful parent. That's what Eden Parker had to deal with when her whole world came crashing down only to find out two years later that her so-called best friend was pregnant by her ex. Red Moscato was the only thing that helped her forget all the crap that went on in her life. Axl Mavis was forced to marry a woman that he did not love but he loved his daughter Mackenzie with all of his heart. But Axl did not know the whole story behind Eden's disappearance. His heart was broken when she disappeared and the old light-hearted Axl's personality died. Eden was the only one to soothe her grumpy boss. When she finally had the courage to come clean with the details, his anger went through the roof for revenge. Someone would pay for the seventeen years he missed out on his life and true love.

This was a quick interesting read. My heart went out to both Axl and Eden and the predicament they found themselves in. I don't care what one does to keep true love apart, it will always find its way back to each other. That's what happened in their situation with the help of an excellent PI in the form of Tony Magarelli from the Hidden Witness series. It was great to read about him and also wonderful that Eden and Axl had a second chance at love and their HEA.

What in the young & the restless?!!

Omg this back story for Axel and Eden had me ALL in my feelings! First off Eden was way too darn naive. I wanted to shake that girl silly for listening to her jealous friends. But I had to remember these are high schoolers. Lawd fix it!! Axel was sweet and knew exactly what he wanted. Eden. But the devil was determined to ruin that union. I'm still in shock about what happened to Eden. But I'm so glad I read this! Now the synopsis for Red Moscato makes sense. Posey Parks has done it again!!
I just finished Red Muscato. An O.M.G! This book was amazing!! I was right when I said Posey Parks has done it again! My emotions were all over the map! Eden's so called "best friend" was a trifling you know what that did her so dirty and got her just desserts for it. And lets not talk about Eden's father. Smh. I almost dropped my kindle when I saw an old friend show up to handle him. Cause I knew it was on and popping. Yesss! I'm telling you if you haven't read this book all I have to say is, what are you waiting for? Posey Parks you are the bomb.com!!

Eden is a savage

and Axl happily delivers her prey. Psychotic parents and stalking predator disguised as a friend still could not stop Axl's love for Eden. Too bad he got tempted by Delilah instead of continuing to look for Eden, but she took care of that just fine all by herself. What did get in her way Axl served up for her to destroy with the help of Tony M, which was a delightful treat. After everything she suffered Eden was still a savage and Axl still claimed her. This is a heartbreaking, and restorative story that you will want even more of. LC season 4 just keeps raising the bar

Why in the world did Eden wait 17 years to reveal such life altering secrets!?! I’m baffled. Her excuse was thinner than lace.

Her father was evil and cruel in his actions. I hate women like her mother that are doormats and agree with every terrible thing their husbands do.

Axl is volatile. He only operates at one speed, 100. He either despises her or adores her.

Her manipulative best friend…seriously who needs enemies. B*tch got you covered on both ends.

I’m happy Eden and Axl finally got their HEA but the delay was ENTIRELY her fault.

The storyline beggars belief at times

I love this author. The storyline was good. I don't really understand the parents reasoning for doing what they did and they both deserved to be cut of from having a relationship with their children and grandchildren. I loved the magarelli connection . I don't understand why Adel stayed with Dalaliah for as long as he did. Sure his parents did not believe in having children out of wedlock but he could have divorced her after the baby was born.

Love Does Conquer All

As always Posey Parks are great with all the back drama that keeps you reading. I loved how Axl still kept his promise to hire her. It was sad she had to deal with all drama her Dad did to her alone and her so called best friend she deserved what happened to her at the end. Of course I was glad to see one of my favorite Mafia man in the story. Looks like another couple being added to the family. Brought the book and will definitely read again. Alright Posey Parks waiting on the other books from your weekly newsletter.

🙄 This was book was kind of ridiculous. Sorry

This was not really making all that much sense to me. Those past memories that she was having/flashing back while telling her story, it was weird and didn't read well...she's telling the story but it reads like the rest of the book???? I get what the storyline was suppose to be but it seemed very unrealistic. Transitions with all these complicated relationships were not at all believable, probably because of the rush to end the book. This had too much going on to be a short story like this

Together at last

Axl and Eden were separated by the machinations of her pompous father and later, by her jealous friend. Years later, he's still angry about what he thinks she did, the lie she told to protect him. They still love each other, but she could never bring herself to tell him the truth. When she finally musters up the courage, there will be heck to pay by everyone who wronged them. A great story with likeable main characters who clearly love each other but the editing could have been much better.

When I say that Posey Parks put her foot and then some in this book, she surely did!!! Sex scenes are ON POINT, which it should when it comes to a Lunchtime Chronicles Book. Eden and Axl's story is one that will tug at your heartstrings, have you laughing then next moment and burn the pages next. This book is one that you will DEFINITELY NEED in your book collection! Ms. Parks, kudos to you 👏🏾 🙌🏾 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Eden and Axl

This was a great lunchtime read. This was a quick read but it took me through a lot of emotions. I felt bad for Axl and Eden. To have their child stripped from you by parents that are suppose to love and protect you is crazy. Beverlee and her disgrace of a daughter got what they deserved. I hate how Beverlee tried to poison Mackenzie's mind about Eden. I'm glad Jaxson finally came around and met his parents.💕💕

Great story!

This was a great book and the characters were very believable! I was on the edge of my seat. This was one of those books that you just can put down. Loved the chemistry between Axl and Eden it was smoking hot 🔥! Their love stood the test of time! Being greedy does not always get you what you want but what you deserve. I highly recommend this book to my fellow romance readers you will not be disappointed!

Good intentions don't mean much

Wow! I'd need a dozen barrels of Red Moscato to deal with everything Axl and especially, what Eden went through. Ms. Posey did not play. These two encountered everything that could possibly tear their relationship apart. This was a serious emotional rollercoaster ride and I was so there for it. Great read and I really appreciated the short on how Axl & Eden met. Loved this read.

Beautiful story of forever love

This was my first Posey Parks read and I'm a huge fan. I love both Axl and Eden's beginning together, young love is so fun and great. Then their parents make a life altering decision tearing them apart. Unbeknownst to everyone Axl and Eden have a love so strong it forever binds them together. Eden is a solid, strong female lead alongside Axl's alpha sexy self making a great love story.

What a way to welcome you back to the "Lunchtime Chronicles" series. This story follows Eden and Axl or Mr. Grumpy as he is often referred to as. I definitely felt for this couple story and overall journey cause it was not easy. When Eden finally revealed the whole story to Ask I was one part sad and another angry. Eden father was controlling and the lengths he went too ripped her from her life is downright unforgivable. I really enjoy this book from beginning to end.

Why Title it red moscato

17 years divided them as being a couple although regardless of Axl feeling towards eden because of her actions back in the day they both worked for the company. Posey takes us between the past and present making sure this lunchtime chronicle was very fulfilling. The ending where she made me cried was well worth waiting for. I would like to see them all visit new jersey and interact with Tony and family

Story with promise but was, simplistic ally resolved

This story had so much promise. It was made for a longer story with depth of plot. Not for a lunchtime chronicle which are shorter stories. The author wrapped the story so simplistically with all easily falling into place. Disliked the ghetto part of going to an older woman and punching her in her mouth while grandma tagged along. Really?? Just tacky. This author has done better.

Broken

There is no way I would allow this to happen to my child. I loved that Axl and Eden still love each other enough to fight through the lies and hate. Children can be forever destroyed by this but they were resilient because their love was True.
Some people need to be kicked in the head and then some.
Another great read in season 4 of LTC.

An excellent love story

I loved Axl and Eden's story, the story captured me from start to finish, it was so intriguing and captivating I wanted more, I realise these lunchtime chronicles are supposed to be short but they're so good you always want more. Excellent story, brilliantly written characters and storyline....Loved every word written.
