Meeting Rebel Kane on the set of Hoop World Magazine’s Nekked photo shoot was a dream come true. Hooking up with her in the dressing room was unbelievable. But when she became co-owner of the pro basketball team that I coach, I was caught with my pants down.

Being the MVP of the WPBL was an honor. So when I was asked to pose nude for the most popular sports magazine, I jumped at the chance to show my athletic body. Meeting Ansel O’Shearon was the icing on the cake. Every straight woman in the league has fantasized about him and that sexy beard. I was fortunate enough to ride it.

When the opportunity to purchase the team that Ansel coaches arose, I jumped at the chance. Not because of him, but to fulfill a lifelong dream. Now, I am living in a nightmare. The man I want more than anything is suddenly off limits. Will we be able to resist each other, or will we risk it all for another taste?

This story started like WOW!! It was filled with passion and hot scenes. I thought Rebel was going to be Ansel's boss from the preview. That was not the case. Ansel threw caution to the wind when it came to Rebel. I wondered why she never found the note and he never mentioned it.
I liked Ansel and Rebel. I also liked them together. I felt like the story was missing something. I thought for sure their careers would be in jeopardy. But none of that. Then it ended.
I understand Lunchtime chronicles are sweet and to the point. They are killing me because it leaves me wanting more. It leaves me with questions. And I still don't know what watermelon sugar is???

However, I enjoyed reading it and can't wait to move on to the next one.

She was his sugar watermelon high

Ansel O'Shearon just wanted to try something out of his norm when he hooked up with Rebel Kane. She was the WPBG's MVP player. At 6'4" tall Rebel was just looking for a once and chunk too. Neither of them was expecting to really fall for each other. So when Rebel ended up on the team that Ansel was coaching, had to find a way to stay away from each other for their career's sake. Ansel could not handle being away from Rebel, especially when she looked like she was moving on. He wanted to claim her even more.

I did not feel this couple in this book. The way they hooked up was just so impersonal. I wished the author would have gone into a little more detail. I know this was a short story but I would have liked to know if Rebel and her co-captain worked things out after the exercise they were forced to do. I also would have liked to know if Rebel was able to buy the team after the league forced the owner out. I also would have liked to know how the league, the GM, and the manager handled Ansel and Rebel's relationship? I just felt like I was left hanging at the end of the story.

Flaming

This book is flaming hot from the very first page. Watermelon sugar was better than I expected..I wish this book were a full-length story. Rebel and Ansel are off the charts. Rebel is the MPV of the WPBL and is at the top of her game. Ansel is her coach and has a reputation with the ladies. This is a sinful and smoking hot sports romance. I really enjoyed the storyline and the way Rebel used her stature. She stood up for the women in the league and worked to remove that God-awful disrespectful, oppressive league owner.

Sports romance novella

This novella started off with a very hot love scene and basically gets your attention from the jump! It's fun and sexy about a star WNBA-like basketball star and her romance with her coach. I could see this as a longer story for sure. It ended rather abruptly attempting to tie things together in a nice bow but I enjoyed it nevertheless

Sweet

To have your cake and eat it too, that is exactly what Ansel and Rebel did. The chemistry they shared was to much to ignore. I loved how the women of the league stood up for their rights and won. Powerful Women!

Steamy, Sexy, Nasty awesome book!!

This book had me at the cover AND the synopsis! And when I tell you this book was everything and a bag of Doritos Fire, I am not lying. The chemistry between Ansel and Rebel was so hot and steamy I thought my kindle was gonna melt in my hands! From the minute Ansel met and got with Rebel there was no turning back. He was all up in her business. And Rebel was a woman that knew what she wanted. She didn't play games. I loved their chemistry on and off the court. And the way the league handled backlash on the owner and his stupidity with class and dignity. And those t-shirts! I loved them!! L. Loren made this page turner so hot, steamy, sexy and such an overall pleasure to read. I honestly did not want this story to end. This season of Lunchtime Chronicles are that 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I hope Ms. Lauren will think about maybe giving Ansel and Rebel their own story. I would so read it! Kudos Ms. Lauren on a great
book!

To be Ansell's lunch

This edition of LTC was a delightful treat. Rebel was a boss in every sense of the word. She even embodied the strength it takes to be humble when you can bebold. She pet her work ethic, discipline, and talent be bold for her. So Ansell had to e on his fame and a out his business to turn her head, and change her heart. This couple set the court on fire and won way more than the game. Hot, gripping, short, sweet and sexy. Can't beat this lunch break.

Ansel and Rebel

This was a great quick read. I love how the woman took a stand to remove the owner of the league for his blatant disrespect of women. I'm glad Ansel and Rebel was able to continue their relationship without losing their careers. L. Loren did a great job with Lunchtime Chronicle.💛💛

I play ball

Too damn bad Ansel found Rebel! I played point guard position & would have loved to climb that man! All kidding aside, Rebel & Ansel are so hot together. I really enjoyed the back and forth and Ansel's attempts at staying away from her. He is quite the alpha and sounds delicious.💜💜💜

Love and basketball

I really liked the storyline and the stand. There were too many editing issues to over look for me so it's 3 stars. It was more rushed than I'm used to seeing from this author.
Don't get me wrong, the story is wonderful. I love the lunchtime chronicles, I just won't overlook things that are important to the telling of a love story.

Rebel and Ansel was straight fire from page one. The book felt incomplete and the ending rushed.

I also went in expecting for Rebel to buy Ansel’s team, creating the conflict in the story. This is what the synopsis stated the book was about. That is not the story that was presented.

A little different

This story was a little different in where it seemed like it was a snippet of a larger story. The story started with a scene one would expect to find at least a chapter into the work.

Ansel and Rebel are great together, another great addition to the lunchtime series. A few spelling errors though. Who is going to be top dog in this relationship? Will it be Ansel or Rebel who leads the pack?

Two Things...

1 -I didn't like the ending, 2 - and I didn't like the fact that Ansel left a note for Rebel after their first night, and it was never addressed...(I could add who was David to my list, but I won't - lol)

Other than those 2 things I enjoyed the story.
