If one delves deep into the freedom struggle which our fighters underwent , one can derive a lot of learning from it. The independence that we gained was not a cakewalk by any means but an outcome of more than a century long struggle.

This book throws light on the contribution of three individuals in this hard fought journey. The way they lit fire in the hearts of people in general teach us a lot . How Swami Vivekananda ji and Subhash Chandra Bose ji through their arduous voyage across the world instilled a sense of responsibility is quite heartfelt and inspiring to witness.

The book is very well written and is more of a travelogue. The author has amazingly elaborated the incidents in a picturesque manner . The narration has a visual touch to it which makes the overall reading experience even more enjoyable.

Overall an immensely well articulated work which gives a neutral outlook to the overall contribution

Indian history is full of stories of brave people. People who fought against injustice, who worked tirelessly towards uprooting injustice from the system, and those who lit the fire of revolution in their distinct ways. Their lives have so much to offer to this generation. Their lessons of simplicity and resilience are worth emulating by us. It is these stories that find a place in the humble abode of this book.

On a Voyage with the Greats by Satyendra Singh is a collection of three notable journeys undertaken by Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi, and Subhash Chandra Bose. The three pillars of modern Indian history that contributed significantly in the pre-Independence days led by example. Their values and actions have inspired generations of leaders. Through this book, we get a closer look into how their lives left an indelible print on our country.

Swami Vivekananda undertook a journey from Vancouver to Chicago in pursuit of knowledge. Along his remarkable journey that took him places, he witnessed the progress of embracing the rest of the world. He wondered how he could bring advancement to his country. This one journey gave him insights and ideas to work on building India in a new light. Gandhi was young when he faced utter humiliation on the platform of Pietermaritzburg but his resolve to change things grew stronger after that. Bose had to travel from Kiel to Tokyo in a submarine reeking of diesel fumes. A journey that went on to define his legacy and although, he couldn't return to India to end the British rule, he remained a hero forever.

This compilation of stories gave me a world tour with a description of picturesque places and noteworthy events. Singh has done a good job at bringing forth the stories of great leaders and let us connect with them. He rekindles a spark in us to work for the betterment of our nation. The compelling stories are enough to move us into action.

Lucid writing style and crisp narration kept me hooked to the book. I liked how Singh stayed true to the intent of the book and maintained a conversational tone. Anyone can pick up this book and get some amount of historical information and a dose of inspiration.

On A Voyage With The Greats presents Indian history in a way that has never been done before, the book gives us a closer look into the lives of Swami Vivekananda, Mahatama Gandhi and Subhash Chandra Bose not in a birth to death biography kind of way, but through trips where you feel like you are truly on a voyage with these great personalities!

You get to see what these men were made of but you feel more connected as they seem more human than what we have experienced through our history textbooks. The book is very interesting and in a way captivating. The best thing about this book is the approach and the presentation because before this book, I had only seen books that were either biographies or autobiographies of these great personalities. The author has done a commendable job with this book and it is a beautiful step to preserve and present our rich legacy and history in an interesting and fabulous way.

On a voyage with the greats

This is a book which is not so usual type of my read.History was interesting for me but sometimes. But this book....this is just osum!

There are very few books which actually does justice when it comes to potray the real situations. And in this book, the author has done an amazing job writing those.

This book highlights few of the people who had sacrificed themselves or stood for the nation when it was necessary.Mahatma Gandhi,Swami Vivekanand and Netaji Subhash Chnadra Bose are the personalities written in the books.Their journey, their views, thought process and everything was rightly shown in the book.

The language is easy. Not much difficult.Even a beginner reader can read it.

I would recommend this to the people who are interested in history and want to know more about the personalities. It is also a great read for improving our personality because of the views and beliefs mentioned in the book.

“One individual may die for an idea, but that idea will, after his death, incarnate itself in a thousand lives.”
- Subhas Chandra Bose

We can’t forget the contributions of some of the great people in India’s independence struggle. Their intellect and bravery helped us achieve the freedom that had been robbed out of us for many decades. The lessons and values they’ve imparted to their future generations are undeniably worth emulating. This book will ride you through three voyages journeyed by three great sons of India that will not just tell a story but create an experience worth living through words.

“On a Voyage with the Greats” by Satyendra Singh is an account of three journeys taken by Swami Vivekananda from Vancouver to Chicago, Mahatma Gandhi from Durban to Pretoria, and Subhas Chandra Bose from Kiel to Tokyo. This book, rather than giving their chronological biographies or high-level academic essays, gives readers perspectives, closure, and an idea of the struggles they went through.

Each journey is filled with adventures, the quest for knowledge, unmatchable struggles, and great lessons. The picturesque places give us a world tour with the author’s words. What strikes me the most about the book is the way it is compiled systematically, giving readers a closer look at their lives.

As a history lover and that too specifically Indian Modern History, I was drawn to it by its title immediately. The unique approach of this book attracted me and the simple narration kept me hooked till the last page. Each journey has the wisdom to offer, facts to get awestruck, and lessons to follow the whole life. The well-researched history and the interrelations between the events that happened to these three luminaries are greatly written. I will definitely re-read this book as it’s worth re-reading according to me.

“History is about messages and lessons which our past gives us- both the pride and the disappointment. It’s a philosophical communication from our past; only we need to be able to read it in proper context and able to translate it into action.”

Highly Recommended!

TITLE : ON A VOYAGE WITH THE GREATS
204 Days of Global Pilgrimage
AUTHOR : SATYENDRA SINGH
Publication : BUUKS Publication
Genre : Historical Fiction
Format : Paperback
Pages : 155

🖍️ The purpose of this book is to provoke the reader, specially the young generation to read more and know more about our heroes and get inspired and I think the author has fully embodied this work through his book.
🖍️ The book contain the story of three great journeys by three of our greatest heroes, Swami Vivekananda, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and Mahatma Gandhi.
🖍️ The three journeys that author described are "Vancouver to Chicago", a tumultuous journey of Swami Vivekananda, "Durban to Pretoria," a journey full of humiliation, changing into the resolve of life of Mahatma Gandhi, and "Kiel to Tokyo," an adventure-filled perilous sub-water journey of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
🖍️ The story of these three journeys is not only inspiring, but it also tells how much our ancestors fought for our freedom from Britishers.
🖍️ What is the significance of these three journeys in the pages of the past, I came to know this by reading this book.
🖍️ The author has described these journeys so beautifully, as if these journeys are happening in front of your eyes.
🖍️ Despite being an engineer by profession, the way the author has written this book, the hard work of the author can be gauged very well.
🖍️ Describing important journeys in the glorious history of our country, this book inspires us to make our future better.
🖍️ This book has proved that it is not necessary to inspire anyone by telling the story of any great personality from birth to death, rather we can tell everything with just one travelogue of his life.

Indian history and its culture are so beautiful, deep, and vast that you can't have enough of it. The more you learn about history, the more you fall in love with your ancestor, leaders, and history.

Such is this book that takes on a whole different journey which lets us know what history was about and how the three most powerful leaders of India - Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose gone through the journey and how they were connected.

You must know a lot about Gandhi Ji but Subhash Chandra Bose is a less talked about part of the fight for our freedom and through this book, his character came to light.

Although, some of the parts of this book may be fiction yet the solid research and data keep you hooked and informed throughout the book.

I wouldn't tell you much about content since I don't want to spoil the adventures for you. One thing that I would simply say is if you like Indian history or biography books then this is going to be the best choice. The story is quite interesting and the perfect blend of history and adventure makes it a real page-turner.

The author has wonderfully developed the characters that you'll feel inspired by after reading their life events and the way he deals with all the struggles of that time. Such is the power of this book that you will want to read it again and again.

I love this book, and it gave me a fresh perspective. I would highly suggest this book

On A Voyage With the Greats
By Satyandra Singh
__________
This book takes us on a global pilgrimage with three of the most brave indian leaders of all times that till date is hailed by the world - Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose

Many books are available that are mostly in chronological biography for higher educational purpose. For general public they ignite little curiosity. That is why this book proves to be an intriguing read as the magnificent events of the leader's lives are presented in a unique fresh way almost like a fictional travelogue accompanying them in the past this letting us learn more about them.

This is a very informative book that bring us opportunity to go on an extraordinary world tour where through which these ordinary men became world significant.

It is exciting to walk on the edge with them and see their troubles and achievements thus changing our perspectives as the pages refrain from expressing much opinions.

Through the chapters backed by research and added figures and maps on a 204 days global pilgrimage, we get to know how they were interrelated to each other as well and travel from Vancouver to Chicago to meet the Indian monk Vivekananda who wanted to bring revolution in religious front and thus humantity, Durban to Pretoria to meet the young Gandhi in his endeavours, And lastly Keil to Tokyo to accompany the bravest Netaji Subhas in the submarines.

A very insightful read that definitely helps enrich our knowledge and thus go for learning more about our heroes!

On A Voyage With The Greats is truly a quite fascinating book. It is written by an Indian named Satyendra Singh. The book is unique in narration and plot structure with simple language. This book gives us a new perspective to history in that it creates an experience rather than just tell a story. The Author has done a great research and analysis about Swami Vivekanand, Mahatma Gandhi and Subhash Chandra Bose.

Someone has truly said that -

" No encounter or experience is an accident ; everything is divinely planned. "

The merit of the above statement is seen in this present book and we can see how these men were propelled into greatness through these journeys.

As we know that all these three gems are a man of different ideologies and thinking but they were able to find a common strand and build on it. They have done a lot of things for us. They have sacrificed their lives for us. Thus, we need to find the compassion and the passion that drove these three men into action so that through their work a world order of egalitarianism, peace, contentment, and universal access to basic necessities of life can be attained. And at last this book is captivating, easy to read and understand, and conveys us message without being prescriptive. Highly Recommended Book. Highly Recommended Author.

FAB - BOOK REVIEW OF "On a Voyage with the Greats" by Satyendra Singh.

Rating: 4/5

QOTD: Do you have special photography tools to create your bookstagram content?

"On a Voyage with the Greats," written by Satyendra Singh, is a non-fiction read that tells us about our leaders without their sacrifice and bravery India wouldn't be what it is right now. This book portrays Indian culture and history. This book is an attempt from the author to let the young minds know about the stories of our national leaders, the adventures they did, and the sacrifices they had to make to protect our Nation.
.
The author did a great job in taking us through eh journeys of the leaders like Mahatma Gandhi from Durban to Pretoria and Swami Vivekananda from Vancouver to Chicago. Mentioning the minute details of the adventures of the great leaders requires a lot of research and the author did a great job in doing that. The language used in the book is lucid. Overall a good book that takes us through the great leaders' adventures.

This masterpiece talks about the voyages taken by the 3 great men of our country - Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Although born in different timelines, the author has put in a conscious effort to align their journeys in the form of a story. Inspite of having a different approach these men were in awe of each other for their contributions.

This book takes us through the remarkable journey of Vancouver to Chicago, Durban to Pretoria and Kiel to Tokyo with the men of our country.

This book stands as a proof that reading history could be interesting if written well. The author has indeed done ample research to convey the stories in a better way.

This is a very different title and I would instantly suggest it must be read by youths, elders, men and women alike... anyone who understands English should or rather must read this book. Take a few hours from your extremely busy life and read this book to get a bird's eye view as well as the ringside view of the journeys undertaken by three great personalities of Indian soil – Swami Vivekananda, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Mahatma Gandhi. You will be surprised, pleased and also enlightened by realising what these great human beings had to go through and what it takes to do something BIG... Congratulate the author on such a concept and executing it with a great quality.

India is the cradle of human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legends. and the great grandmother of traditions. Our most valuable and most constructive materials in the history of man are treasured up in India only".
Mark Wain

India is a land of bravehearts and legends. We are fortunate to have glorious history associated with many extraordinary people who sacrificed their lives for the sake of motherland.

The book ON A VOYAGE WITH THE GREAT is not just a book but it's a feeling of attachment and commitment for our nation. It's a devotion to and vigorous support for our motherland. The book is an excellent piece of work done by the author where he retells some extraordinary stories of our great legends to the present and coming generation to take inspiration from the lives of these great men. Though we have many legends and icons in our Indian history but here the book gives us the glimpse of our three strong pillars associated with India's struggle for freedom i,e Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi and Subhash Chandra Bose.

Swami Vivekanand was the first to put India on a global platform when he was called for delivering a lecture in Chicago.
✨"The world for the first time, realised the strength of India, and the curiosity of Orientalists and Indologists was enhanced".
✨He became the symbol of national pride of a nation that was yet to take a geographical and political shape.
An excerpt from the book.

On the other hand our two legends Mahatma Gandhi and Subhash Chandra Bose was constantly struggling for India's freedom. Mahatma Gandhi chose to follow non- voilence resulting in Satyagraha, Civil Disobedience and Non-cooperation movements
which proved lethal for British Empire. Whereas, Subhash Chandra Bose raised the first Indian National Army, Azad Hind Fauj and started an armed coup and inspired thousands of Indian youth to join the struggle for independence from the British Colonial Rule. He gave slogans like 'Tum mujhe khoon do, main tumhe aazadi dunga', 'Jai Hind', 'Dilli Chalo'.

Last but not the least, they were the man of par excellence zeal, courage and commitment for the cause of their nation.

Overall, the book is a must read. The book has a quite good narrating style. The language is lucid so that everyone can read and understand it.
I loved reading every bit of it.

Qotd : Any book related to history do you read
Aotd: Yes I love those.
The sole motive of this e book is to focal point mild upon how these three incidents modified their viewpoint on life, humanity; freedom struggle, way forward; and making themselves as examples of best human beings and leaders. Though most of these incidents had been recognized to me, nevertheless I locate many unique data tons fascinating especially their beginning of the voyages, Swamiji's religious guidance, however as a non-believer, I will say coincidence, Netaji's day trip from submarine to submarine and Gandhiji's journey on discrimination in South Africa. Singh has crafted his phrases so splendidly that will make you binge examine the e book and make you a co-passenger of their voyages from India to Chicago-Japan -Germany-South Africa, and assist you to discover the cities and the people. Some experiences will make your blood boil, some will make you trust in humanity, and some will assist you in staying positive, hopeful, and determined.
Great ride with the three extraordinary leaders that offers you a glimpse of what they had been made of and the instances that similarly formed their personalities in a way that they left a brilliant have an impact on on the future of India and Indians.
A ride that went on to outline his legacy and although, he could not return to India to give up the British rule, he remained a hero forever.
This compilation of memories gave me a world tour with a description of picturesque locations and noteworthy events. Singh has performed a desirable job at bringing forth the memories of exquisite leaders and let us join with them. He rekindles a spark in us to work for the betterment of our nation. The compelling tales are sufficient to cross us into action.
Lucid writing fashion and crisp narration saved me hooked to the book. I appreciated how Sir stayed authentic to the intent of the book.

For a while I had been planning to explore Indian history, and when I came across the book Voyage with the Greats by Satyendra Singh, I decided to dive in.
In a nutshell, the book talks about an incident of Vivekanand's, Mahatma Gandhi and Subhas Chandra Bose's life.

I commend the author for what seems like very thorough research, for the list of references mentioned in the end were 3.5 pages long, and the hard work put in the research is even evident while reading.

Though the narration, as warned in the start of the book, was absurd to me, for at times it seemed I was attending a lecture, then felt as if I'm reading a story book, and then my NCERT history textbook.
The entire read was fascinating, and a little more focus on narration might have added a good touch to it.
Stressing more on the narration, multiple times it felt like the author, even within the book, was selling the book, and the personalities in it. Author idolizes the three men, which is what is perceived through the book, and I would have liked it if he had added more information then counting praises of them, which would have done the job either way.

As the name suggests, 'Voyage with the greats', the author was trying to make the readers feel as if they are on a journey. And smartly so, as he has used those facets of the three men's lives, that focus specifically on their journey from one place to another, be it Vancouver to Chicago; Durban to Pretoria and Kiel to Tokyo.
But I would have appreciated it more if he had kept it subtle, and not stressed literally three times in each chapter that we are 'traveling' and not reading.

For the stories of the Greats, all the information was very new to me, and it was enlightening to read. But better work could have been put to the tale of Subhas Chandra Bose, for the author has done quite a good job with the other two.

It's simple, and easy to understand.
Will recommend it to all those planning to dive into Indian history, for these three figures actually influence a huge part of it. And the author has done a good job to bring very interesting anecdotes of their lives.

When I was six years old, there was one book with the name VED PATH which was a mandatory subject for all DAV (Dayanand Anglo Vedic) students irrespective of the branch. Everyone including me used to find that book extremely boring and we used to look out for some interesting images but there were hardly 5-6 in the entire book( consisting of 25-30 pages). After reading this book, I genuinely thought of those days when our teachers used to constantly tell us us about the importance of such books. Now I can actually understand how important and impactful such books are.

India has a rich history full of icons who embodied some extraordinary passion, wisdom, love sacrifice, and courage that they appeared as superhuman beings and inspired a whole generation. The fundamentals behind this book are to provoke the young generation to know about our biggest icons which are better understood today as Brands.

The chapters in this book are more like a journey of our three greatest icons- Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi, and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. This journey of their lives is written in such a truly praise-worthy way. The three journeys are "Vancouver to Chicago" which talks about the journey of Swami Vivekananda, "Durban to Pretoria" which talks about the journey of Mahatma Gandhi, "Kiel to Tokyo" which talks about the journey of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

The author has done a commendable job by bringing the stories of the legends in such an easy and interesting manner. The story is normally paced with a very unique narration style. These compelling stories motivate the young generation to know more about our country's history and learn from their struggles. This book is hard to put down. I must say that this book made me experience lots of emotions.

Don't worry this book doesn't deal with their contributions or philosophies, or the birth to death biography of these heroes.

Well, Now it's time to Review this Book and place my thoughts regarding the contents placed In this book...

So Basically the Book is Written By Mr.Satyendra Singh () who has presented this book in a beautiful and integrating manner.

The book doesn't deals with the chronological biographies and long term Essays by the 3 Faces or The main Protagonists, and that is Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.... Rather than it deals with their life -embarking greatest journeys of all time.... The journeys are so astonishing that it's remarked in the Modern History pages....

The events took place at the same year for Swami Vivekananda and Mahatma Gandhi on 1893 and later for Subhas Chandra Bose on 1943. The author tries to attract the readers as if, we too are on the journey with these greatest personalities as their co-journers.

We can feel the journeys as we tend to read.... The journey of Vivekananda Was tumultuous, Gandhi's was grasping and Netaji's was thrilling.... The Book is Best in its manners, and I found quality time reading the same...

From my early days as a voracious reader of Bengali books, I came across many books on freedom fighters and the great humans of India. I still have some biographical books on Sister Nivedita, Netaji, Swami Vivekananda, Khudiram Bose, and many more. Reading On a voyage with the greats by Satyendra Singh was such a cherishable experience to revisit those memories and reading those books.
.
.
On a voyage with the greats neither provides a biographical account nor fictional storytelling, more or less every detailed narration is a real account of their journey, which changed their life and the history of our nation. The book is mainly delved upon the voyages of three of the greatest human beings of India; Swami Vivekananda, Netaji, and Mahatma Gandhi. The voyages are Swamiji's Chicago religious summit, Netaji's journey from Germany to Japan, and Gandhi's humiliation in Pietermaritzburg.
.
.
The sole purpose of this book is to focus light upon how these three incidents changed their perspective on life, humanity; freedom struggle, way forward; and making themselves as examples of greatest human beings and leaders. Though most of these incidents were known to me, still I find many detailed facts much fascinating; primarily their starting of the voyages, Swamiji's spiritual guidance, but as a non-believer, I will say coincidence, Netaji's expedition from submarine to submarine and Gandhiji's experience on discrimination in South Africa. Singh has crafted his words so splendidly that will make you binge read the book and make you a co-passenger of their voyages from India to Chicago-Japan -Germany-South Africa, and help you to explore the towns and the people. Some experiences will make your blood boil, some will make you believe in humanity, and some will help you in staying positive, hopeful and determined.

Swami Vivekanand, Mahatma Gandhi & Subhash Chandra Bose are not only the greatest icons of India but these personalities are still shining brightly all over the world. These three revolutionists and freedom fighters who fought for us and brought massive changes in our society & nation might have physically left us but their bravery, philosophy & perspective towards life still inspires many people around the globe. They are the eternal flame that guides us through the path of our life.
We all are curious about their life & activities and thus there are lots of books written about them but this book is quite different from the others because it is only based on the great historical voyages of their life which not only changed their lives but also changed our history as well. And those voyages were Vancouver to Chicago by Swami Vivekananda, Durban to Pretoria by Mahatma Gandhi & Kiel to Tokyo by Netaji. They set their feet on the way abroad under different circumstances with discrete aims & dreams in their eyes. The author did an extensive study & delivered us minute details about their journey. Apart from detailed account of their geographical journey it also portrays various dimensions of their character & personality development through the course of the voyage, their sacrifices, visions, the journey from being nothing to becoming prominent figures and fighting against all the odds, the socio-political scenario of those periods, under which background they had commenced their voyages and what impact does it had on our society and nation.
This is also a story of their reign in their eras , their fate & how their lives changed through these voyages. Thus, it's a worthy short read to apprehend the lives of these three eminent figures from a different angle.

Book - On A Voyage With The Greats : 204 Days of Global Pilgrimage
Author - Satyendra Singh

"Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life - think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success."
- Swami Vivekananda

The Book - "On A Voyage With The Greats : 204 Days of Global Pilgrimage" is divided into five (5) chapters, which deals with the experiences and three different ideologies of three great men of history - Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, who appeared to be superhuman beings and inspired the whole generation.

This Book narrates the stories of three biggest icons, who still rules our hearts and mind. They played a huge role in our history through their contributions and efforts. Their journeys were life-changing on one hand, and life-threatening on the other. They were ordinary men, who marked the germination of a long, determined struggle for one and a ride on the wave of success for the other. India, as a progressive and full of glory would not be possible without these three great personalities and their sacrifices.

Overall, I loved the book. This Book presented three great personalities, who were able to touch millions of hearts across the world. Though, except Mahatma Gandhi, none of the two were alive, but their lives and philosophies have always guided our country, every single time. The events are well-researched by the authors. This book is definitely a page-turner. The language used is simple. I really enjoyed reading this book.

Book Rating: 5/5

Everybody knows about our three greatest heroes; Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. There are many books available where one can get the details of the accomplishments done by them in their lifetime. But have we ever understood how these people went through their experiences? After all, they were simply human beings at their time.

This novel allows us to see the human side of these above-mentioned icons of India. Most of the books described the stories of their bravery but they also felt nervous before proceeding with their brave movements. Only this book reminds us of their struggles on their life-changing as well as life-threatening journeys. Thus this book gave a new viewpoint on our history. There are three chapters out of five which narrate the different places of journeys of three different Ideological luminaries. At the beginning of the book, a map is illustrated showing six different famous places travelled by the three men; Vancouver to Chicago by Swami Vivekananda, Durban to Pretoria by Mahatma Gandhi and Kiel to Tokyo by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose are now considered global pilgrimages.

The objective behind this book is to inspire the younger generation with some great stories from our biggest icons that are well maintained. The stories are amazing. The book cover is very fantastic. The title is fit for the purpose. In addition, we can see beautiful illustrations in the book. We all should read the book to see our superheroes in a new way.

Around 75 years ago, on the historic date of 15th August 1947, India became free from British domination. It was the culmination of numerous movements and struggles that were rife throughout the time of British rule including the historic revolt of 1857. This independence was achieved through the efforts of many revolutionary freedom fighters, who took the lead in organizing the struggle which led to India’s independence. Although they were of varied ideologies ranging from moderates to extremists, their contribution to India’s freedom struggle has been immortalized in the minds of every Indian.

This book is written by an Indian who belongs to Gorakhpur which is famous and ancient city. In this book he has talked about three great people of our history and their lives incidents. According to him the connection between history enables us to develop a better understanding of the present and plan a better future. The book is crafted especially for the youths of India to narrate us about our glorious history and great personalities. In this book he has narrated the story of three great gems of India and they are - Vivekanand, Gandhi and Bose. The title 'On A Voyage With The Greats' especially gives us the idea about the theme of the book. The attempt is to transport the reader in a time travel to the past when these events actually took place for a better understanding of the surroundings which prevailed at that point in time. So, the present book is like a bridge to generate us the curiosity to read about our past heroes. The book has lots of interesting thing. Thus, I am recommending this book to all the youths.

Swami Vivekananda, born Narendranath Datta, was an Indian Hindu monk and philosopher. He was a chief disciple of the 19th-century Indian mystic Ramakrishna.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was an Indian lawyer, anti-colonial nationalist and political ethicist who employed nonviolent resistance to lead the successful campaign for India's independence from British rule, and to later inspire movements for civil rights and freedom across the world.

Subhas Chandra Bose was an Indian nationalist whose defiant patriotism made him a hero in India, but whose attempt during World War II to rid India of British rule with the help of Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan left a troubled legacy.

The cover of this book is enough for any Indian to pick this book which has the face of three Great Personalities.
As I started reading, I could connect and learn a lot about the ancient times..
There was something in those olden days that made people patriotic.
I felt myself closure to our roots again.

Every single page of this book felt like a treasure that I collected and experienced.
This is a kind of book that I would read again - again and would highly recommend it to everybody around me.
The pride seems to be immensely high.
No matter how much we know about the history, there's will always be a part hidden from us.
Even though I have read about these personalities, this book gave me opportunity to know more which I was unaware about.

Overall it is a must & Unputdownable read.
