N-no. Omega aren’t — they’re not real.” She’s squirming, pressing herself against him as she talks. “They’re a myth.”

“You sure, Granger?” His voice is low. He says her name with a slow drawl as he slides his fingers against her dripping knickers. “Did you ever bother to check? Or did you just assume? I have to admit, as a teenage boy, I was curious to find out. Where do you think half-breeds come from?” He leans close enough to whisper. “Did you think being fucked by a troll is something witches volunteer for?”

Granger blinks as though the idea hasn’t occurred to her until just then.

He steps closer until there’s barely any space between them. She’s rocking her hips rapidly against his hand. Desire pools in his lower abdomen as his cock begins throbbing in time with his pounding heart.

5 ✭Infinite stars✭ Proceed with caution
(spoilers, triggering content and fractured parts of my soul are buried here — I'm going to hell, it's settled now)

The flogger has mangled her cunt.
He didn’t even hit her particularly hard.

The disturbingly erotic vileness of this omegaverse book (I purposefully avoid calling it merely another Dramione fanfic), metamorphosed eventually into the chaotic reign of Draco's completely and utterly mad mind, had my stomach churning and my heart pacing erratically like a caged animal inside my chest.

Her mouth smiles but her eyes do not. He’s certain that her eyes used to light up when she smiled in school.

Does it make sense that I broke down after reading these two lines and started to cry?

Her head jerks up, and she stares at him, her eyes wide and fearful. It sets his teeth on edge. She averts her eyes, looking back down at her tits, and he catches sight of deep purples bruises wrapped around her throat and marring the right side of her face.
He stares with surprise and his stomach curdles.
He didn’t even hit her very hard.

Holy Mother Of Sanity. Where do I even begin? Can I even fully embrace my rapt fascination with this story and put into words the reasons why it kept me so entranced, so utterly transfixed for a couple of what seemed excruciatingly long and tortuous hours??

For one, I'm kind of impressionable when it comes to new experiences, and I think that this book is my first venture into what can be considered a dark erotic horror.

For two, this story is only scary when you piece together what it said with what it implied.

There's hardly any unabashedly explicit and unmasked blood galore or physical violence (with few remarkable exceptions) that will make you instantly recoil in fear and disgust. On the contrary... if I set my mind to it, it wouldn't take me long to find and quote here the scenes that may sound oddly tender and arousing to you.

Thirdly, the manner in which the storyline unfolds reminded me of a "dripping machine" — Chinese water torture (which doesn't want to say I ever had the firsthand experience. Luckily for me). Like cold water slowly dripped onto the scalp for a prolonged period of time causes fear and mental deterioration in the subject, reading this book — a vicious circle of sickeningly repetitive mental and physical abuse (wrapped in eroticism), caused vague fear and mental deterioration in me.

P L O T

Told entirely from Draco's perspective, the story takes place years after the war. Having spent years in Azkaban, one cold and gloomy day, bitter, angry, rejected Draco Malfoy stumbles upon Miss Granger, who looks so high she barely stands straight, in the dark, filthy alley,

The eerie silence of the alley is broken by her heavy panting; a frightened, rasping sound that cuts through the air as she continues unsteadily forward.
She must have a death wish.
Draco keeps back and watches as she dazedly makes her way towards him until he can’t resist the urge to get a closer taste.
He emerges slowly from the shadows.
“Granger...”

where their tale of dark obsession and twisted desires begins.

She furrows her eyebrows and tilts her head sideways.
Bubbles of anticipation rise in his stomach.
“M-Malfoy?”

To his confusion and, subsequently, gleeful delight, Draco quickly comes to realize that Miss Granger is not high.

In fact, she has turned into an Omega, and her life is entirely at his mercy. What is he gonna do with her now when she's completely helpless and one of those who are to blame for what he went through earlier in life?

Will he just rape her once right there, against a tree, and leave her in this dark, dirty alley, where she will be fucked to death by morning?

Or perhaps drop her at the Forbidden Forest, where Greyback may find and force her to spend the rest of her life popping werewolf pups out?

Or will it be better to sell her on the Black Market? After all, she would be worth a fortune on the Black Market...

Draco briefly entertains the nastiest, foulest options and finally settles on one that appeals the most to his deranged mind:

kidnap her, enjoy her body, satisfy his dark urges like a connoisseur of the decadent; like a sick, evil gourmand that he is.

— No kissing her on the lips. Whores don't deserve to be kissed.

— No letting her sleep in his bed. The Mudblood should know her place.

— No nesting. She isn't allowed to make a home here. This isn't her home. This is his home. The Mudblood slut deserves to know what it feels like to have everything taken from her. What it feels like to have no home, no family, no friends. No one.

He planned to stay out past midnight and let Granger fret over her punishment, but after several drinks, he’s feeling charitable. He has a long dinner and returns to the house. He even orders a second meal for Granger and brings it back with him. Her reduced weight is vastly preferable, but he’s worried that if she loses more her tits might get smaller. He can’t have that.

He'll fuck her through her heat, and apparate her back to the alley where she'll be raped by numerous Magical beings.

One more week, and he'll sell her... right?

No... not yet. Why would he? He'll rent her out when she's not in heat...

Huh, he'll only keep her for his exclusive use for just a few more

weeks

or

cyclES

or

monTHS

better yet

yEARS...

FOREVER. For the rest of his life.

Halfway through, this book is still relatively mild. Erotic. Arousing. Slightly repulsive. A tad disturbing. One might even ask... What has everyone so traumatized? Is it really that vile, that horrible, huh? 🌚

He smiles and pulls her up into his arms, kissing her cheek and squeezing her tits affectionately as he fucks her harder. “Of course you are. You’re mine, and I’m yours. I’m going to keep you forever and take such good care of you.”

That's where the true madness begins to slowly unravel in its full, unabashed glory; coil like a snake before a deadly strike that gets venom straight into your bloodstream unsuspecting mind...

Raped her?
Lying bitch. She’s so overwhelmed by presenting as an Omega that she’s decided to project all the blame onto him rather than accept what she is. There’s an icy rage seething in his chest as he thinks about it.

Every time he looks at her, an unfamiliar burning takes over his body. She needs him. He needs her to need him. He can't stop obsessing over her, thinking about her, watching her, edging her, fucking her.

He wishes she’d look happier.  It’s the one flaw. She never seems as happy as he’d expect her to be.

He wants her happiness. He wants her eyes to light up when she smiles.🤡🤡🤡

He —

“I want you to tell me that you love me.”

Right here. Right there. Stop. It's getting darker. Or madder?? Forget every thought you had about Draco.

He's crazy?
He's delusional??
He's completely fucking mad???
He has shown fifty shades of psychopathy????

YOU HAVE SEEN NOTHING YET. YOU POOR INNOCENT CHILD.

Draco descends into utter madness, and of course sick little puppies like me can't take their enchanted eyes off it.

“I want you to tell me that you love me.”

Apparently, this man can't handle reality slap rejection beautifully. Instead, this man handles rejection with a chain-metal flogger. ☠️

He holds her against his chest while she shakes and sobs brokenly, stroking her hair and rubbing soothing circles on her back. She keeps trying to draw her legs closed and then wailing and letting them drop open again. There are streams of blood trickling down her pale legs and getting on his clothes.
Draco kisses her forehead. “It’s alright. It’s not going to happen again, is it? No. You’re alright. Now you know. Now you know how well I care for you.”

Draco's distorted perception of reality beggars description. It can't be explained, put into words, or analyzed rationally. It has to be experienced under the gentle, slow and deliberate guidance of this author. 🚬

Draco sits on the edge of the bed and reaches down towards her. She makes a sound of terror that’s animal and tries to get away. He grits his teeth and forces himself to ignore his irritation as he jerks her up off the floor and into his arms, using his sleeve to wipe away the mess on her face. She gives a series of short incoherent screams like an injured rabbit as she shakes and keeps gasping sobs.
“Shhh. Shhh. Shhh. It’s alright. You didn’t know how it could be, did you? You just didn’t understand. It’s alright. I forgive you.”

His cruelty is unintentional, unprecedented, and wrapped in so much delusion and misapprehension that it hits you like a fucking tsunami and leaves you breathless and gasping for air.

But she refuses to be genuinely happy.

Why? Why does she refuse to be genuinely happy?? Nothing he does is ever enough. Ungrateful slut. He will punish her. He'll teach her to be grateful...

Draco only knows that he loves Hermione. He can't live without her. She has become the center of his world. His life revolves around her. He always takes such good care of his sweet girl.

He buys her jewelry and strings of pearls. He buys her piles of expensive silks and furs, the finest sheets, lavish duvets and pillows, cashmere throws and dozens of eiderdown. He makes her smile. She smiles and crawls to him every time he comes home.

“I love you.”
Her expression flickers. She draws a ragged breath and curls inward, as though the words have struck her like physical blows.
His jaw tenses. He watches her expression carefully as she stares up at him, her eyes wide and almost terrified looking.
“I — “ she’s too overwhelmed to speak for several seconds, “I love — you too … I do.“ She seems to be on the verge of tears. “I — love you too.”
Relief floods through him and he grins and kisses her forehead. “I know. I know you do.”

F I N A L E

This is the first time I've cried from sheer horror. The story transformed from mildly disturbing into a horrifyingly traumatizing experience with slow inevitability and deliberate precision. It lulls you into a false sense of lightly disturbing and mildly erotic security only to deliver a final blow over an extended time period.

The book is one of the sickest, most disturbing torture porn fantasies that might sip into your mind and flood your sanity completely.

It's not very long: 47798 words

98% of screen time takes place in the torture chamber one room and features torture porn, obsession and mental disorder spinning out of control.

The writing was inventive. Sublime. Ethereal. Rich. Phenomenal. Imaginative. Clever. Insinuating. Edgy. Nasty. Unhinged. It said. It implied. It hinted. It circled around.

Quite deliberately, readers are denied the opportunity to get to know the real Hermione: Draco is an unreliable narrator.

The nature of his feelings and aberration of his mind left him incapable of conveying the essence of another human being, besides an occasional, involuntary glimpse of something true and authentic peeking through the heavy cloud of his delusion and giving an ominous, almost realistic edge to the story.

Which certainly didn't spare me a trauma. I cried and felt sad for the girl that I didn't even get to know, the girl that has been reduced to someone with no will, no wants, no needs of her own that she would be able to express freely and not fear retaliation.

A doll. A toy. An object.

Peeking shily throughout the text, there are little droplets of Hermione's feelings, emotions and thoughts.

The writing gave me an oppressive sense of presence. As if I was peeking inside the room and watching creepily the room through the small door lock hole.

I'm not going to comment on the ending (read it and find out what happened if you dare), but I certainly can't restrain myself from mentioning and spoiling the alternative one. I have to talk about it, or I'll literally explode from all the pent-up emotions. 🚬

ALTERNATIVE ENDING

READ AT YOUR OWN RISK

Ultimately, the alternative ending was the thing that left me no fucking choice in the matter.

After it brought out a wave of sadness, nausea and disgust in me, I physically wasn't able to give this book any fewer stars.

It was not so much what took place in the last chapter that shook me to the core as how it was described.

Without spoiling entirely the whole book (like I didn't do it thousands of times already), I'll omit all the events leading to the row between Draco and Hermione and will only mention that Draco gets very angry with Hermione. He believes that she wants to leave him and demands an explanation—

“It’s just — “ her voice is straining and her lips twitch. Her fingers are scrabbling weakly at his hand. “I — don’t — I don’t — want to — “
“Good,” Draco says as he glares down at her.
His good mood has evaporated and he feels vicious with rage. This was the best evening they’ve had since she got pregnant and now she’s ruined it.
He’d been so happy and now there’s ice in the pit of his stomach.
Nothing he does is ever enough. She always wants more. Ungrateful slut.
He holds her down until she stops resisting and lies still the way she’s supposed to.

After going for a walk, he returns home much calmer and collected,

When he walks into their bedroom, she’s still lying in the bed where he left her. Her eyes are wide, watching him carefully.

and,

Her skin isn’t flush with warmth the way it usually is. She’s pale.

and,

She’s stiff and fearful, but she doesn’t say anything. He kisses her apologetically and murmurs spells to warm her up, holding her close.

Fast forward a few days,

He holds her all night, his heart pounding with worry as he grips her body tightly against his. He keeps casting warming charms to keep her skin from getting cold. His stomach twists to the point of nausea at the thought that something might be wrong with her. He keeps kissing her shoulder and telling himself she’ll be alright.

(I'm not crying)

He tries to feed her chicken soup and other fattening things he hopes will tempt her appetite, but she doesn’t seem to want to eat, even when he orders her to.

(I'm calm and serene as I'm reliving this scene)

He combs her hair and fusses over her.

Fucking stop, will you

Licking and nipping and suckling at her clit and she lays so obediently still for him the way he’s trained her to. He keeps teasing her until he sees her fingers curving like claws in the sheets. He coats her cunt with aphrodisiac potion and fucks her slowly, feeling her body rigid under his as she fights her orgasm. She’s such a good girl.

I'm not sick. I'm not sick. I'm not sick.

She’s so nervous, she won’t even stand when he tells her it’s time to leave. He has to pick her up and carry her out of the townhouse.
Several Muggles stop to stare but Draco ignores them as he continues to carry her down the street.

Why are police there?

His voice breaks slightly and he kisses her again. “I’m going to fix this. I'll do anything for you. You know that, don’t you?”
He loves her so much.

She's torn from his arms, but none of them can take her away from him... can't they?

“Charges of necrophilia...”
There’s screaming filling his ears.
“Signs of starvation and torture…”
Screaming.
“I’m going to fucking kill you!”

“Where’s Granger?”, or how do I ever recover from that ending?

Dear Miss author, I need some magic potion from you to heal me from this story in the form of another work under your name.

i'm something between horny, disturbed and sad. the range💅💅💅

his obsession was vile. the madness hang in the air like a cloud of smoke, and i was gulping it like a crazy bitch dying for her next breath. i was waiting for something terrible to happen. i think the anticipation was what ultimately made this fic for me.

if you're sensitive and only love to read HEAs where they're married with kids, don't. just don't

My first Dramione fan fic ever and of course it has to be this.......this....whatever the fuck this was😭

I don't know what that says about me, but I didn't think it was that horrible. Don't get me wrong, this is literally torture porn with trigger warnings a mile long. Draco's descent into utter madness and obsession were nothing short of magnificent. But with all the horrified reviews, I expected to be on my knees, outraged, shielding my watering eyes, clutching my pearls, dying on the inside. None of the above happened. I was more mesmerised with the level of insanity Draco managed to succumb to.

The author wrote two endings for this story, for which she left a lil note:

This is the darker, alternative ending for Edge. Which, I personally don’t like as much since it feels more like a horror for horror’s sake type of ending and I didn’t think that really aligned with the thematic point I had in mind for the larger story.

But, since I’m already going to hell anyway. Here’s the non-ambiguous ending version.

Obviously, my disgusting ass loved the more disturbing ending a million times more. Personally, I had something else in mind, but this was still satisfying.

PS: why did this monstrosity make me wonna rewatch Harry Potter?

PS PS: y'all HAVE TO read Irunia's review for this book. Literal masterpiece.

first 1/4 was good smut. then it got tedious since we’re just reading a routine. the ending rlly was wonderful tho

He mulls over what to do with her. He could sell her, but he’s put considerable effort into keeping himself beneath the attention of the Ministry. Four years in Azkaban was more than enough to last him a lifetime. He has sufficient money at his disposal already. He isn’t interested in risking Azkaban over sex trafficking. He’ll just drop her back at Knockturn Alley. Or perhaps the Forbidden Forest. There are rumours that Greyback is still alive and lurking there. He probably wants a new pack. Maybe he’ll fuck one out of Granger. She can spend the rest of her life whelping werewolf pups. He can’t help but chuckle at the idea of Granger, facedown and moaning in the dirt while Greyback ruts her. Greyback wanted her back during the war. He’s probably the type who’d enjoy the extra weight.

“Don’t read it. Don’t read it. Don’t read it.”

I read it.

So dark and twisted. So fucked in the head. But such good writing, you can’t stop reading. Each chapter gets worse and worse but you can’t stop.

This was a different kind of Dramione fan fiction. The way love can make someone mentally ill — too possessive and controlling.

I loved how Draco’s narrative was unreliable.

And chapter 9. My god.

Read the TW. This one’s a hit.

When Draco stumbles across Hermione in Knocktum Alley, he discovers something very interesting. Apparently Hermione Granger, has turned into an Omega. At first he flirts with the idea to leave her in the woods and let her get destroyed by the creatures in there, he even thinks about auction her off to the highest bidder but he decides against all that. He instead decides to kiddnap her and enjoy her and makes her pay for everything he went through because of her and her friends.
And thus begins a dark and twisted story.....

I normally really like dark/obsessed Draco fics but this was one of the most disturbing fics I've ever read. Not only is Draco absolutely crazy in it, the things he does to Hermione are repulsive.
This definitely isn't a fic for the faint hearted. The triggers in this fic are meant to be taken seriously, be warned.

Look don’t get me wrong the writing that this author has is amazing. But holy hell the story in general is truly traumatizing. Seeing it in Draco’s perspective is unraveling, it made me sick, it was vile, in general it was horrible. There is absolutely no need for anyone to read it. Please don’t.

I am not into omegaverse to begin with, and this short fic is a particularly dark omegaverse. It's not poorly written, but there is no romance and all of the scenes Hermione and Draco have together are non-con. Some people may like this, but it's just not my cup of tea.

Beware: check those trigger warnings before starting this…

I’ve been scared to write a review since I started this because I knew what I was getting myself into and wasn’t sure how I’d be able to review it. Then I realized I can review based on writing and not based on content 🤣

The writing was fantastic. I’ll add a spoilers tag so I can get a little detailed.
Draco is severely unwell in this, told from his POV. At the beginning you know he’s unwell, and it progressively just gets worse. Around halfway through is when I started realizing how unwell he was. And then that ending happened. And then that ALTERNATE ending happened. Which, I’m so glad was written. It truly portrays the state of his psychosis best out of this entire piece, which is scary by the way. And I think all the events leading up to this ending is fascinating (and sick, and sad). And I can’t stop thinking back to all the previous chapters and the little hints to all the things he did. Smh.

Horrifyingly fascinating and well written.

This is an effin' essay on the current correctional system worldwide.

I like the second ending much more than the first and to be honest, I actually think it is much less brutal.

Well written and I think I would actually enjoy a less sex-centered horror from this writer too, despite horror books not being my thing.

"Read it, it's really good!"

No, it wasn't. This is definitely not my cup of tea, and it's way too out of my comfort zone. Idk who but someone recommended this to me and I was like: Okay, why not? I knew that it's very very dark, but damn girl... this is wayyyy too much for me. I hate alpha/omega/beta kind of stories but I still wanted to give it a try..... the worst decision of my life.

Couldn't even finish this. Disturbing and disgusting.

⭐⭐⭐⭐

ok, first of all READ THE TRIGGERS . This was very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very dark and it will be too much for most audiences. It is not an average Dramione story and it is really disturbing.

That being said, it is really well written. We get Draco's POV during the whole story and it's both so sad and enraging. There was not a point where I did not hate him, but at the same time it was sad comparing him to other FF Dracos and how he "could have been".

4⭐ for the writing but I ended up truly disgusted.

Five for the very perfect portrayal of obsessive & delusional deranged Draco, submissive-yet-determined Hermione (the way there's only one instance of Hermione's eyes lighting up and that's at the chance of freedom), and awesomely satisfying ending (both the happy one and the horror one). Especially the horror one. The portrayal of necrophilia and Draco's reaction is just. Worth it.

**Edit** Now that I’ve had a number of days to decompress after finishing this book, I felt I needed to make a change in my rating.

Change: 2 stars to 4 stars.

Why: While the story was really difficult for me to get through, I’d think the goal of any author is to take the reader on an adventure. Whether the adventure is in the positive or negative, that is for the author to decide… but the story must be so good to make the reader feel the emotion and the experience like they are there with the characters.

This author accomplishes this experience and for that I commend you.

Read this FF at your own risk. It is dark dark dark and zero romance.

This one was hard to get through. While I did finish it, my mind kept comparing this to watching a train wreck.

It was unraveling in a way that you knew would have dire consequences but layer after layer of disbelief and horror just slowly worked its way down the line.

To me, this fiction isn’t a dramione in any sense of relationship. It’s more a ‘Draco is solely the MC’ with no relationship in any type of romantic setting.

He is purely Hermione’s kidnapper and torturer. He mentally, emotionally, and physically abuses her.

Ofc I liked the first ending, but both endings are a fitting result.

With that said about the story itself, I will say that the author did an amazing job creating this fiction. They wrote very creative (albeit soul crushing) scenes which took me on a roller coast of emotional outbursts. Kudos to your skill phantonym!

THIS WAY HERE LIES MADNESS - I would give this story 5 stars ⭐️ simply because it’s so well written.

Let me start by saying this - READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS. TAKE YOUR LIMITS AND PERSONAL TRIGGERS SERIOUSLY! THIS ISN’T A SUGGESTION, IT’S A NECESSITY. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED 📣📣

If you need a HEA this is NOT the book for you. TURN BACK NOW, you sweet beautiful summer child!

This was an impeccably written story where the author did a brilliant job of depicting mental health issues, obsession and torture. Draco’s gradual descent into madness. Hermione’s devastating loss of self and choice. I won’t spoil the ending (alternate ending) but I WILL say that it’ll make you sick, make you wanna rip your skin off and cry, it’ll make you wanna scream at the top of your lungs, mourn both characters and throw the device you’re reading the book on. Before you ask, YES IT’S THAT SERIOUS!!!!

Did I like this book? Let’s just say that it was morbid fascination that did an impeccable job of keeping me raptly engaged from beginning to end for 4 hours. It was an excellently written masterpiece but the content is not for the weak hearted. Would I recommend this book? Sure, but ONLY TO THOSE WHO WANNA BE ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED and GUTTED.

It’s sick and Deranged. Also, put me off Dramoine a little because, don’t get me wrong, I love Toxic Draco (a little too much!), but THIS! Is a whole lot of fucked-up-hope-he-gets-his-dick-chopped-off Draco and I don’t want to feel about this character that way if i want to continue to read Dramoine. I am new to the fandom and have read close to 20 Dramoine’s in 1.5 months, including epics like Manacled, the auction, secrets and masks, perfectly in pieces and i thought ill never take a break from this highly aditictive AU. But Edge brought me back to reality and begged me to take a break.

Having said that, MAN! This is one legendary piece of writting, i can compare it to watching a Lars Von Trier movie, where you are truly disturbed by the end but the work is so brilliant and captivating that you cannot stop watching/reading. The unreliable narrator is the best i have read ever in my life. Even in perfectly in pieces we see unreliable narratives in Antonin’s chapters but that was so boring and shit. This is chef’s kiss. I would love to read an epic Dramoine from this Author as long as its not Dead dove.

Twisted and nightmarish. From the first scene to the last, this work left me hallow, sweating, and nauseated. As it should. The writing was superb. The content hits home - especially for anyone who’s been in a position without a voice, or been critiqued or compared just like a cow brought to market.

Every blue moon a work will strike true, hitting at a depth the other authors have shied away from or literature has minimally explored. Seeing the world through the eyes of a rapist (particularly one who did not consider his actions as such and felt justified by culture and society) left me chilled to the bone.

I found reading the reviews even more fascinating, finding that people got a rise out of the pornographic scenes at first before becoming increasingly horrified and concerned for the victim. What does that say about our own society? What does that say on how we’re fed to fantasize? And at the end if the day, how does that change the understandings of consent between person to person?

All I can say is wow. This was not what I was expecting. I somehow put this in a list of Dramione Smut Fanfiction, but this is horror erotica. After I got over that shock, I was intrigued. It is definitely dark and demented, so be warned.
The premise is that Hermione is an Omega and Draco captures her and keeps her as a sex slave. Draco develops a dark obsession with her. There are two endings, one leaving you feeling vindicated and another which is so twisted and disturbing.
That being said, this story is written so incredibly well. I can understand if the plot is not for you, but you have to admit that the writing is excellent.
I loved the psychological aspect of Draco contorting reality to fit his delusion. It really plays off of the unsavory and cruel aspects of Draco that a lot of fanfics want to gloss over.
The second ending had me shook. It was so twisted and left me horrified. I absolutely loved it.

I have never read a dead dove before but boy am I hooked now. I loved this writer’s style so much. I love all her ideas, they were so unique, and yet felt possible. I especially love the non traditional idea of an omega. I love how halfbreeds became a thing. I love how Draco’s trauma from his time in Azkaban has him obsessed with heat. I loved watching the obsession spiral over time and grow more and more intense. If BOOK Joe Goldberg, American Psycho and the song Ptolemaea by Ethel Cain had a baby it would be this fic. I wish this author had more than one other story, I don’t even care what it was, I am obsessed with them and their ideas. It was kind of crazy seeing Draco in a different light but I ate it up. This is something I feel icky liking so much but I like it so much I can’t help it. Also, that alternative ending was so not what I expected, I prepared for significantly worse, but I really liked it too. Draco was really losing his shit.

I didn’t even think i was capable of such a range of emotions until i read this fic. The way Draco had me laughing on some parts, mildly aroused at times, repulsed in the second half, wanting to commit murder and somehow still managed to make me feel sorry for him is just astounding.
He was, in the second half, in such a deep state of delusion that at times i was starting to delude myself as well; my mind warring with itself between observing the story objectively, acknowledging the suffering of Hermione and seeing it unfold through the deranged perspective of Draco, sometimes *cough* sympathizing *cough* with him.
Reading this fic was like i’d imagine a psychedelic trip would be and it should be listed as an example under the word DEMENTED in the dictionary.

If i head the word “edge” on more time imma freaking lose it

BRILLIANT.

I can't, in good conscience, rate this book. It's just not a book you rate. Let's make it very clear that it is NOT a romance. Heck, it's not even a dark romance. It's psychological torture... erotic torture? I'm not sure what to call it. It's not for the faint of heart, it's disturbing to say the least but...it's meant to be?

The interesting thing about this fic is the portrayal of Draco's slow descent into utter madness. It starts off relatively mild. Dark, sure, but somewhat mild on the darkness scale. But then it gets darker... and darker... and darker the more he loses his touch with reality. That's the fascinating thing that keeps you reading.

It's a "Dead Dove: Do not Eat" fic, so please keep that in mind and be forewarned.
