Performing for a Wicked Lord

Rate this book
The ravishing performer Anna Coleman has long promised herself to never get involved with the cruel world of high society. Yet, her grasping boss will keep forcing her to perform for the people she blames for her parent's death. Little did she know that soon a charming Earl in disguise will appear in her life and the flame of desire will slowly start burning her heart.

Will Anna's passionate feelings prove to be strong enough to shatter her hatred?

Lord Henrik Copperfield has all the virtues a noble man can have; charm, intelligence, and a huge inheritance. Tired of the ton and his famous bachelor title, he will see his life turning upside down after an inevitable night at the theater. When he finds himself mesmerised by the voice of the fiery Anna, he will come up with a plan to conquer the dreamy woman who hates aristocracy.

If only Henrik's way to Anna's heart was filled with roses....

As fate conspires to bring them together once more, Henrick and Anna are unable to tame their flaming emotions and so, their lustful affair begins. However, will Henrick's secret identity ruin any hope of a common future together? As high society's restrictions tighten the grip around them, will Anna's and Henrik's tantalising romance blossom or will it be doomed once and for all?

I enjoyed the book.
Now this story was interesting the heroine blames the aristocracy and their lifestyle for her parents’ death. Knowing what I do about this time period I cannot really blame her. The hero of the tale is tired of his life of the people around him how they live. He maybe of noble birth but he really is a simple and moral man. I liked these characters they spoke to me. The emotions in the book were written in such a great way it was easy to get lost in pages of this book. It was a dramatic ending to a very good book.

Good plot with entertaining characters.

Ms Anna Coleman is a wonderful stage singer and actress, but she dislikes the aristocracy for personal reasons. Therefore, when handsome and wealthy Lord Henrik Copperfield sees her and is totally captivated, he schemes to hide his identity by impersonating a servant named Henry. No more spoilers, just know it's a good plot with entertaining characters, leading to a beautiful happy ending.

No peace from anyone!

Anna has the voice of an angel, man that makes her perform is vile, she hates nobility. Lord Henrick hears her the first time and is entranced. Can’t get near her, meet her at ball where she sings, but he’s nobility! Everyone is against their match, except them! So much heart break!

Ok reading

To go to the theater for a night of entertainment to finding a lady who has caught his attention. To dress as a servant so he can blend in and not having to worry about being spotted. To fall in love with a singer to having her be his wife.

Well written story about Anna Coleman a commoner and Lord Henrik Copperfield. Anna has a beautiful voice that she uses to have a roof over her head. But he wants more than that with her so he acts like a servant to get close to her. Good read!
