Former Marine Percy “Champ” Champion has never encountered a problem he can’t handle. Flying bullets? Daring jungle rescues? Building Champion Security from the ground up? Making people seriously regret using his hated first name? No problem. He’s gotten the job done without a hitch each and every time.

But it turns out there are some situations Champ can’t handle alone, like:

• Going undercover as a wedding planner to retrieve some missing cartel data in time to avert an international crisis.

• Keeping his jerk of an ex from threatening his business.

• Preventing Quinn Taffet, Licking Thicket’s gorgeous, charming new wedding planner—and Champ’s fake fiancé—from getting into danger… or from getting the wrong idea about their relationship.

• Fighting the pull that lands him in Quinn’s bed night after night, despite his very best intentions.

• Stopping the pun-happy matchmakers of the Thicket from destroying the sane, well-ordered life he’s built for himself.

• And, most troubling of all, protecting his traitorous heart from all the romance in the air.

In short, Champ needs an extraction plan ASAP before he finds himself well and truly… hitched.

This book was so much fun. The blurb caught my interest and I just wanted to check out the sample, but once I started reading it, I didn't want to stop.

Not sure what it is about this book, but it really clicked with me. I loved Quinn and Champ from the start. I loved their dynamics, the banter and the humor. I literally laughed out loud at something Quinn said.

The relationship development is a bit different than the usual, but it worked for me. I loved watching those two commitment-phobes fall for each other. It was sweet and also funny - I loved

I haven't read the original Licking Thicket series nor the first book in this series, but I've read some spoilery reviews for book 1, so I had no problems following the HOG storyline in this one.

Hitched is book two in the Licking Thicket: Horn of Glory series by Lucy Lennox and May Archer. You know when you didn’t know you needed a book until you actually read it? Well, that just happened. This book was so much fun, so darn steamy and so very swoony! It was amazing!

Quincy Taffet is thirty years old and is the new events planner in Licking Thicket. He is trying to get over a bad relationship that he left behind him in Nashville but does have dreams of going back to the city at some point when he can build his business up. He has no interest in being back in a relationship but has no problem with one night stands. But what about a one night stand that happens twenty eight nights in a row?

Percy (Champ) Champion is a former Marine and now owns his own very successful security business. We met him as Rigg’s boss in the first book, Hijacked and he seemed like a pretty scary guy! Champ also had a previous bad relationship and also has no interest in any way of doing that again. He felt attracted to the sexy wedding planner the first night they met and it was only supposed to be one night. So why does he keep showing up on his door step night after night? Why do they keep having long talks about all of their hopes and dreams and also sharing passion he has never experienced with anyone else before. But this is NOT a relationship. It’s just a lot of one night stands in a row, right?!

So what happens when you put together an ex-Marine, a wedding planner, a dog that keeps getting forgotten at said wedding planner’s house, and a missing Horn of Glory that has deadly information hidden inside of it? A whole lot of crazy, that’s what!

I think I was smiling from ear to ear before the end of the first chapter. These two were so much fun. The pet name war had me laughing out loud! When it becomes clear that the path to the missing horn involves Quincy’s wedding clients, then Champ decides he will have to be Quincy’s new partner, and also his fake fiance. But you know how it is with fake relationships, they soon begin to feel so real. There was something there between these two. Something that kept Champ coming back night after night. But what happens when the op is over? Will they finally move on from their non-relationship? Or will they finally admit that there is something there, something worth pursuing?

If you haven’t figured it out yet, I adored this book. My only one little complaint was that for being such a rough and tough man who runs these deadly operations, at times Champ seemed a little clueless in this book. But then again, he was pretty distracted by a sexy wedding planner. The next book in this series will be Hacked, which is Hux and Kev’s book! I saw that it will be the final book in the series but there was one character I was very intrigued by, Jericho, the carpenter. So I’m hoping he will turn up somewhere in the future.

Yay! This second book in the Licking Thicket spinoff series was set entirely in the Thicket, instead of spiriting us away to some random locale, like Venezuela, again.

The humor here was pretty spot-on, beginning with the MC's thinking that their 26 (and counting) one-night-stands were nothing more than a casual hookup, for which they were both very on board, all while they both decried any form of serious relationship.

I really adored spunky wedding planner Quinn and serious ex-military guy Percy, aka Champ, right from the get go and loved how Quinn would never let Percy get away with any bullshit.

My favorite moments were when Quinn would get insanely worked up by something that Percy had done, completely personifying Righteous Indignation, as if it were a tangible thing, then his emotions and/or hormones would suddenly take over and he'd end up throwing himself at Percy, with all of the wind flying out of his pissed-off sails, as if it had never existed.

Another really funny part of the book was how Percy kept accidentally forgetting his beloved dog and leaving him with Quinn, subconsciously (I think) knowing that it would be safe and well-cared-for. It happened all of the time and always made me laugh.

One really touching scene for me was when Quinn finally met Percy's social-climbing, blue blood mother. Her chat with Quinn about "not coming over here to be impressed" really hit me straight in the feels and I loved it.

As for the romance, this one worked pretty well for me in that department, once the guys finally admitted that they were more tha just fuck buddies on repeat.
Was there anything better than hearing the person who was the center of your world tell you that you were the center of his?
I really appreciated that, in spite of the story having a dreaded Asshole Ex, the book never ventured into either unnecessary drama or Big Misunderstanding territory, largely because the MC's actually did talk, or yell even, when opening up and communicating was required.

The one thing that I did really miss in this story, though, was the inclusion of more of the crazy locals that the original Licking Thicket books had. There were a few here, however, I missed the tons of insane characters, like the Nutters and the Johnsons, being put out on the front porch swing and handed a glass of sweet tea to put their weirdness on full display for all to see.

I'd rate this one at around 4.25 stars and for sure recommend it to anyone that enjoyed the original Licking Thicket books. 😁

I’ve had a very draining week last week and all I was looking for over the weekend was a very fun book that would be a welcome distraction and this book was perfect for me. I don’t remember the last time I laughed this much while reading a book, this book was just everything I wanted it to be at this moment in my life.

The romance in this book was also very sweet, which I really enjoyed.

I just had the best of time reading this book and it put the biggest smile on my face.

I received an arc of this book and this is my honest opinion

Shoutout to Kaity for the fab advice to speed up the audio significantly. Thank you, girl! It was a tiny bit fast at times BUT I was suddenly able to enjoy Michael Dean’s performance on the audio.

I Loved Champ’s and Quinn’s story. It was hot and super entertaining. I was only a little sad that we didn’t get their initial hookup that was teased in the epilogue of “Hijacked”. Instead the story starts weeks later with them having hooked up A LOOOOT of times (off page) since then and keeping it super casual.

I was laughing my ass off that Champ always forgot his dog with Quinn and Quinn regularly stole Champ’s shirts when the commitment phobe ran out of the house in the morning.

On to the next. I expect the last one to be equally entertaining like the first two.

I live for the Meet Cute, which sadly was missing here.

I think I would have enjoyed this book more had we been privy to Champ and Quinn's initial meeting and subsequent regular hookups.

The book begins when the MCs have already been sleeping together for a few weeks. We are TOLD they have chemistry and their sex life is on fire, but we don't see it.

I had fun with the silly pet names and banter, but just couldn't get into the whole stolen horn storyline.

Just like the first book in this series, and the Licking Thicket ones before it, you have to just go with the flow.

The narrative is bonkers, so much so that it's actually quite possible something this nuts could happen 😁

I love this series because it's pure, unbridled joy with a side order of delicious steamy passion, and a whole load of fun.

Quinn and Champ's 40-odd night 'one-night stand' is just one of the many story threads that had me chuckling, while their sarcastically ridiculous pet names for each other had me genuinely howling with laughter.

The main plot is a continuation of the stolen Horn of Glory (and that will never not be funny and a pun-tastic part of the narrative).

Things move on in quite spectacular fashion and I can't wait for Hux and Kev's enemies-to-lovers to finish off the series.

#ARC kindly received from the authors in return for an honest and unbiased review.

4.5 LOVED IT ❤️❤️ Stars!! 😍 This was a superb fun-filled ride into the chaotic world of Quinn and Percy aka Champ's world. To be honest although I wanted to continue the series, after reading the 1st book in the series, I wasn't too invested in the Horn of Glory aspects of the stories. And when I started the book I was a little disappointed, because it felt like I was catching up with the couple a month into their relationship already.. and I SO don't like that.. but as I kept reading and reading.. I found myself grinning and laughing.. and just couldn't put it down. 💓 Yes, the start of the book was unconventional.. but I think it worked for this couple.
Quinn and Champ are quite the pair, both are unique in their own way.. but also very similar in their traits. While Quinn was wonderfully perfect and adorable.. Champ was annoyingly dependable and hot.. and the plot was crazy but full of great banter and humor. I also loved the cameos by Licking Thicket's hall of famers.. 😍
Loved it! Highly recommend it! 👍 👍 But with the caveat that you should at least read the previous book in this series (and possibly read the Licking Thicket series) before you pick this one up.

Welp. This was not for me. I probably should have DNF’d around the 35% mark when I realized the relationship dynamics were not going to work for me, but I pressed on hoping something would change. I’ve come to the realization I don’t really vibe with relationships where one person is more dominating/selfish/playboy-esque and the other is more accepting/excusing of that behavior.

It took me a really, really long time to feel mildly OK with Champ. The set up of the relationship was unique in that when the book starts Champ and Quinn are already in an “endless one-night stand“ situation. So for a very long time the person we see is commitment-phobe Champ. Inconsiderate, leaves you at the drop of a hat, Champ. Slightly manipulating for the good of his job Champ. So by the time we see this other Champ who is sweet with Quinn, shares things with Quinn, cares about Quinn, it’s so far into the story that it fell flat for me. I don’t mind selfish/asshole-ish type characters, but there needs to be something that happens that’s significant when they change their ways. There needs to be some genuine sorry that comes from them. And there also needs to be something from the other more accepting person where they really put their foot down and understand their worth. I liked Quinn but I was begging him to put his foot down for real at least once. For me personally Champ never really had a come-to-jesus moment it you will, and Quinn never really put a stop to accepting his hot/cold antics. Also, all of Champ’s apologies were centered around sex, and it just didn’t give me the warm and fuzzies.

Outside of that I honestly found the book to be way too long when it didn’t need to be. It’s almost 400 pages, and I feel like 100 pages could’ve easily been shaved off. The whole security case was extremely obvious, and there was a lot of unnecessary filler in my opinion.

Anyway, I still love May and enjoy Lucy, and the next book in the series sounds like a lot of fun. This was just one of their installments that didn’t work for me 🤷🏻‍♀️

2 very different, but equally strong characters being oblivious that a 26 days one night stand (or 28? More than 30? Or even 64?) is, in fact, a relationship? Count me in 😬

There were so many things I loved about this (audio) book - let me start with the one thing that kept me from rating it with 5 stars (keeping it to “just” 4.5): the mystery part. I know it’s not the main focus (there’s some data stored on a very unique “Horn of Glory” that everyone is after), but COME ON. Champ and his team are supposed to be professionals - HOW did it take them so long to figure out what was right in front of their noses? The amount of time I wanted to scream at their obliviousness was staggering 🤣

Other than that - I loved both Quinn the wedding planner and Percy Champion the badass extraordinaire. There both strong characters, both shying away from relationships, both funny, smart, good at their respective jobs, bantering and bickering, lovable, stubborn, and - once their admitting their feelings for each other - going all in. There’s no third act breakup, but there’s enough going on you don’t get bored as a reader. And thankfully, the “licking” puns were kept at a very low level 🥳🎉

There’s even a dog that Champ keeps “forgetting” at Quinn’s place 😬

On top of that, I did what Kaity and Kati recommended and sped up Michael Dean’s narration- and lo and behold, the audio version turned out to be SO GOOD 🥰

To sum it up - one of Lucy and May’s best books. And yes, I think you can read it without having read book 1, even though you’ll have to fill in some gaps.

This was enjoyable! It’s not my favorite work from LL and MA, but I loved Quinn. He’s such a little spitfire. And the sparks between him and Champ were 🤌🏻

I’m REAAAAALLLLLLYYYYY looking forward to Hux and Kev though. I’ve loved Kev since the beginning and I can’t wait to see how this whole plot wraps up.

These books have become such a guilty pleasure for me. They're all totally over the top and borderline ridiculous in the very best ways. I love getting lost in the craziness and letting my brain believe everything it's being told, whether it makes any sense or not.

At the end of Hijacked I just knew I was going to love Quinn and I was right. He stole the show, in my opinion. He was feisty and smart and Champ relentlessly underestimated him. It took time for Champ to grow on me. His determined work ethic and incessant need to remind Quinn that he was not looking for a relationship made me want better for Quinn. He kept treating Quinn like a damsel in distress and I wanted to cheer every time Quinn put him in his place. I did think Quinn caved too many times and way too easily, which was one of the reasons I rated this book a little lower than the first one. The other reason was that I'm a lover of firsts. I love first kisses and first times and all of the pining and UST and spark, but this book began 27 days into a 26 night stand so all of those firsts happened off page. It was hard to tell exactly how well they knew each other because we, as readers, missed so much. It felt like walking into a movie halfway through. It took some time to get my bearings in their story and become fully invested in them as a couple, but I got there eventually.

I loved that the HOG shenanigans, and all of the resulting puns and double entendres, won't be resolved until the next book. Most romance series I've read don't have an underlying story thread holding all of the books together in this way and it has been a lot of fun reading these and waiting to see what happens next. I was also really glad that the epilogue in this book focused on Champ and Quinn a few months down the line rather than using it as a sneak peak at the couple in the next book. It's a very Marvel MCU move to use an epilogue to advertise a subsequent book and, while I get that it can build excitement, I kind of hate it so I was happy that the authors decided not to go that route for this one.

Bring on Kev and Hux next! I bet the authors are going to have a blast with the snark between those two. I'm so looking forward to seeing how this will all wrap up. I'm sure it will be completely bonkers.

What a fun this book was! I enjoyed the banter, I enjoyed the MCs, I enjoyed the OTT scenes and shenanigans, I enjoyed everything :) It's a book that doesn't take itself seriously, with fast plot, witty dialogues and lovely, totally lovable MCs. A breath of fresh air, after a couple of weeks of only reading average and unremarkable books.

This is the worst book ever.

First: we start basically in the meadle of the romance, the characters already know each other and sleep together for a whole month, it's implied that maybe there is something more that none of them wants to acknowledge but all of this is told to us. noting is shown, they dont even have a scene together until the plot is already underway, and then..

Second: the plot starts in the second chapter i think, which should be high stacks but we dont have emotional connection to anything or anyone and up untill this point its just bla, not my vibe, i can take it or live it, my rule is read until 30% if you dont like it after that its not gonna happen and ive still not reached that mark. but then! chapter 5 happened

Third: (and it is a giant one 💩) my pet peeve has always been when media tries to tell us that being insensitive selfish asshole is a quirky personality trade. my other pet peeve is when authors think we can brash over problems with banter just because the banty is a hot person. Both of those things happened here.
I dont think endangering someones livelihood for selfish gain is a "banter" type of conversation and then he even gaslights him into thinking he is exaggerating 🤦‍♀️.

I acknowledge that this is my problem, my trigger, and maybe the book does get better later, i know one of my GR friends had a great review and genuinely loved it but i think books should be enjoyed and not endured so... I'm stopping here.

Although a lot of Lucy Lennox’s writing isn’t quite my thing (too sweet!), this sounded promising.

And I did enjoy quite a few aspects here:

.) the puns and the very inventive nicknames Champ and Quinn use for each other as a wind up are actually really funny. The authors must have had a ball writing that!

.) The banter is great.

.) the undercurrent of real feels when neither man wants to admit to them is very well done.

BUT….

.) The plot is totally bonkers. But considering this is a romantic comedy, I could see past that.

.) Quinn gives in so easily to Champ EVERY SINGLE time, it's definitely embarrassing. There is an incidence around the 60% mark where this really annoyed me, and I felt that Quinn should have stood up for himself more. He was really put out by Champ’s behaviour after all.

.) Sorry, but it makes me laugh when just a look can make a guy hard ALL THE TIME. I mean in the right situation that can easily happen, but not continuously and sometimes really for no reason at all.

All in all: a pleasant, fun read with little depth, but great language jokes.

I liked the relationship development well enough, but I found the side plot of trying to find and steal a device with drug cartel info on it incredibly boring. I started skimming anyhring to do with that.

Also, I thought Quinn was absolutely amazing but I thought Champ was a dick until his come to Jesus moment quite late in the book and that made this less enjoyable for me as well. Quinn would get mad and give Champ hell but then immediately forgive him. Exhausting.

I enjoyed some of this but I did consider DNFing a few times because I got bored.

This was funny and sweet at times. I loved quin, although I do think he deserved better than Champ's constant disregard for his feelings and his manipulation. The biggest miss was the side plot, with the horn and everything, It was boring and distracting. I liked kev and Hux, and will likely be reading the rest of the series.

This was hands down so much better than the first installment in this series. While I liked the first one just fine, I in no way loved it.

I absolutely loved this one.

Percy Champion or "Champ" and Quinn Taffet had amazing chemistry from the start of this. I just felt it so much between these two.

At the start of this, these two have already been having sex for 26 nights. It's supposed to be casual, it was supposed to be a one night stand. But of course they can't stay away from each other, and as much as they both proclaim that they both don't want a relationship, they really actually do.

Quinn is a little more observant of this fact, even though he continually tries to talk himself out of his feelings for Champ. Champ, on the other hand, is in pure denial throughout a good portion of this book.

As things progress, though, he eventually can't deny his feelings for Quinn, the wedding planner who recently moved to the Licking Thicket and who is impossible for him to resist.

The main plot in this story still revolves around the HOG, but it all happens in the Licking Thicket, and there are no over the top "drug lords" and ridiculous shenanigans going on that would never happen in a drug cartel.

The drug cartel is still tangentially involved in this case, but they're just a hovering threat, mainly.

But Champ and his security guys still need to get a very rare - one of three - Horns that were made, that has all the info of drug cartel members and such on it. They're tasked with getting it so the HOG Corporate aren't mired in a scandal, while Champs asshole ex - whose name I am currently blanking ATM - who works for the DEA is in town to try to get it as well.

Quinn gets dragged into it all when the bride he is currently planning a wedding for's father happens to be the man who bought the stolen Horn off of someone, and is refusing to give it up - although he doesn't know what's one it or why everyone wants their hands on it.

Champ worms his way into it all by pretending to be Quinn's fiance, and moving up the wedding as well, and moving it to the farm where the father is currently holding the Horn.

Quinn for sure has problems with that asshat-ery, but Champ continually is able to make it up to him, and charm his pants off - literally - again and again.

But of course, Champ keeps messing up and Quinn can only take so much, and that really gets Champ into high gear to show the man he loves that he loves him, and will respect him and care for him and put him first when it's needed.

I enjoyed these two immensely. One might say Quinn was too easy on Champ, and I'd agree to that being true at times, but he really makes up for it later on.

The sex was very well written too. A lot of the time Lucy Lennox's sex scenes are just kinda all right or "meh" and I felt that even with the first book in this series, with May Archer writing as well, who I feel can write much better sex scenes.

So maybe May Archer was tasked with the sex scenes in this book, idk. But they were so well done, and I really felt it a few times between these two. Like I was getting legit hot and bothered by how hot one or two of these scenes were. That's always a thumbs up in my book.

So I highly recommend this one. Where the first book faltered at times, this one flourished, and is definitely worth a read, imo, even if you didn't particularly like the first one.

Even if you don't end up loving this one as I did, I still think it greatly approved upon the first, so even those who hated the first would at least like this one, I think, although I could be wrong, who knows haha.

So two MASSIVE thumbs up from me. Definitely, definitely read this one when you get the chance. Absolutely loved it!😍🥰😘

P.S. I think the toned down-ness of silly pun related jokes (having to do with sex) helped this too. They're funny and fun at first, but in a lot of these licking thicket books they're ALL over the place, and I think this benefitted to the puns being used only once in awhile.

My Ratings for the Licking Thicket: Horn of Glory Series:

🔆 Hijacked: 3.5 stars (my review)

I really enjoyed this - especially in comparison to book 1!
It had been so long since I’d read the Licking Thicket books I couldn’t appreciate/remember characters popping up there but in this one it wasn’t as important

we had two characters who were nicely developed for this type of OTT romcom and distinctive in their own voices.
funny, sexy and not always as expected :)

As always when these two team up this book was a ridiculously fun ride! If you're expecting the most logical plot, turn away! This is off the wall bonkers, but it is a true joy from start to finish. I loved both Quinn and Champ, even if it was a rocky start for me and Champ. Eventually you, and they, can see that they're perfect for each other and need to realize that 40 nights do not a one-night-stand make. They were a great team, and teamwork is needed to get through the madness that is the thicket! These books are so fun to read and hard to put down. Get ready to laugh and love your way through another success from Lennox and Archer!

Hitched is the second book in the Licking Thicket: Horn of Glory series and was full of fake fiances, non-stop one-night stands and meddling teammates.

Quinn Taffet was the clear star of this book. He’s a wedding planner working to make a name for himself in big Nashville weddings but opening his shop in Licking Thicket to get things started set him back a bit. Quinn is hilarious, honest and both immune and not immune to Champ’s charms. I loved his inner monologue and how unafraid he was to give Champ a piece of his mind and make his opinion known. Even though he’s a wedding planner, he’s skeptical of marriage and committed relationships, so he’s not sure what to do when he finds himself wanting more one-night stands with Champ and missing him when he’s not around.

Percy “Champ” Champion is a former Marine and a current security company owner who always puts the mission first. His team is his family and he doesn’t do relationships after his last one crashed and burned. Champ is driven, bossy, opinionated and protective, which serves him well in his career, yet not so much when it comes to his personal life. He’s incredibly focused but finds himself losing his mind over one man over and over again - Quinn Taffet.

I really loved that Quinn and Champ were together from the very beginning of this book. It made things interesting and I enjoyed seeing them both unknowingly fall more and more in love with each other as their one-night stands continued. Even though they’re totally different, they both wanted to protect their businesses and do what it takes to make them a success, which just so happens to bring them together. When they finally start to listen to each other and open up, you see how well they fit together.

While Hitched was set in Licking Thicket, I felt like I was missing some of the Licking Thicket punniness in this story. All of the usual characters were around and wreaking havoc like usual, but I feel like I laughed a lot less than expected. I missed that absurd hilarity from the other books!

Quinn and Champ were well matched but I’m dying to get my hands on Hux & Kev’s story! We’ve been building up to it for the past two books and I can’t wait to see how things end for them!

So this is my first read for the duet. I've read for Lucy Lennox before & loved every single one. Never read anything for May Archer, but now I'm a fan after finishing this one and definitely will check out the author's work.

This book was so dang sweet and cute. I enjoyed how their one-night stand turned into a continuation😆 both MC's were very likable. However, I might like Quinn a tiny bit more. He's your cute, quirky wedding planner😜while Champ is the ex-military turned top security company owner.

Champ & Quinn are adorable together😍The whole "pet name" banter was just too cute & the humor was chef's kiss. Loved how both of them wanted a relationship but were scared to admit that & pretend that their top priority was their business, but the heart wants what it wants & their fake engagement/dating is no longer fake.

I enjoyed everything in this book, and now I want Kev & Hux's story ASAP. It's just going to be so good can't wait for that❤️

*I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

[I received a digital arc for an honest review]

Hitched
is the second standalone in the Licking Thicket: Horn of Glory by Lucy Lennox and May Archer.

A one-night stand that has lasted more than one night. Champ and Quinn keep ending up in bed together but neither wants a relationship and for some reason Champ seems to think Quinn would want otherwise since he's a wedding planner. When Champ walks in on an overzealous client in Quinn personal space, he jumps in and claims to be his fiancé. The on the fly fake fiancé title works in his favor when it turns out that an item his security company is tasked in retrieving is in the possession of the bride to be's father. This item puts both Champ and Quinn business' on the line, and the fake fiancé scheme forces them to take a look at the reality of the non relationship they have.

Quinn was the star of this book for me. He was funny and sarcastic when dealing with Champ and his less than charming habits. I love how he called Champ out on his bull but I didn't turn around and drop his pants whenever Champ whispered in his ear. Champ was well, Champ, he was excellent in the bedroom, outside of it he left a lot to be desired. Quinn deserved so much better than him, and I felt like he should have done a lot more groveling for constantly disregarding Quinn's feelings, and the frequent lies and manipulative commissions.

Hitched
by Lucy Lennox and May Archer is filled with a repeated one-night stand, a fake fiancé, steam, banter, endless pet names and a happily ever after. While I haven't fallen in love with this series yet, I am really looking forward to book 3 in the series!

Who's the romcom genius that came up with this idea?

Steel Magnolias meets the A-Team, but GAY ★★★★★

Why can't they write a book every month? When's the next one drop? Do they really NEED down time, or private lives? Pfft! Is it really THAT hard to write badass and fussy men with rapier wits, bruised backstories soothed with the perfect dose of levity and over the top charm, set in a whimsical world that makes me crave more in every scene? Is the Horn really a phallus-shaped game d*ck... I mean stick?

These are the questions I whine to myself every time I finish a May Archer-Lucy Lennox collab. Well, after I finish wiping my eyes from all the giggles and deep sobs, aaaand triple check their websites just to be sure I'm not missing another story.

It was no different with Hitched, the newest edition in the MA-LL anthology of fun MM romances. Yeah, it’s that good.

Things I loved:
Quinn’s soft shirt kleptomania and his committed weeble's wobble but they dont fall down goodness
Champ, the ex-soldier’s proficiency with pet names (Puddin’ Pop and Puddle Duck) and his clueless bossy romantic horndog innards UNF!
Every bit of epic banter inside that iconic rattling orange death wagon
From Cherry to Hux to Herc, every single character who appears (and hell yes Riggs and Carter have a laugh out loud set piece inside Quinn's bridal shop)

But most of all the love story. It’s so good and compelling, and even though the story bubbles with romcom vibes and a clever series of 'covert ops' set pieces, this is a very very sexy read with real characters and lots of deep feels.

Are Vadalia Hoops a real thing? Where can I get a coral colored emu? and a Bunny Champion?

thank you xo KC Caron
