“Owned by the Billionaire” is book 2 in the ‘Owned’ series by Tristan Rivers. It is definitely written to be a standalone story. Although the book blurb is presented from the male point of view, the book itself is told solely from the female point of view.
Reagan is a young woman who left behind her small-town life to take a job as a junior executive in a cutthroat corporate environment. Her roommate walked away from her own staid job and became a burlesque dancer. She's constantly pushing Reagan to go outside her comfort zone. When Reagan has the opportunity to do so, she shocks even herself when she actually does it. At an event she goes to in support of her friend, Reagan meets Adler. Adler isn’t the type of guy Reagan usually finds attractive, and yet she finds him to be irresistible. He also happens to be a Dominant. Adler makes it clear to her that he doesn’t ‘do’ relationships; he’s seeking a new submissive, not a girlfriend. There is some angst in the story, largely derived from Reagan’s self-esteem issues about her own attractiveness, and also from her decision to settle for whatever connection she can get with Adler.
Nowhere in the book is Adler referred to as a billionaire, and although he’s successful, his career is not one which would earn him that much money. Some of Reagan’s behavior early in the story doesn’t really fit with her smart and cautious personality and stood out to me for that reason. There are numerous D/s scenes in the book, but nothing too wild. I appreciated that both characters showed emotional development, although Adler’s is largely expressed in conversation toward the very end because everything is presented from Reagan’s perspective.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! This is book is part of The Owned series why just read one when you can start at the beginning and keep reading through the series it won’t be a waste of time. Reagan is intelligent, young woman who moved from her small-town life to take a job as a junior exec. in a corporate environment. Her roommate/friend wanted to step outside of her comfort zone to become a burlesque dancer. Reagan’s friends is always pushing her to step outside her comfort zone to stop being so safe and tired of the pushing when the opportunity comes Reagan shocks herself when she actually does. Not expecting her boss to be there she runs and runs right into one very sexy dominant. Adler sexy as all get out so out of league with most men, a dominant, and just ran into the most innocent girl. But he doesn’t do relationship all he wants is a sub so meeting Reagan he knows she is a submissive and wants her to be his (when he says submissive only that is what he thought he meant). Reagan has self-esteem issues always have she doesn’t recognize her how attractive she really is and make the decision to settle. She just wants to feel some type of connection knowing it will never be a relationship she really wants but will Adler give her what she wants sexually or is it all about him being a dominant? The chemistry is insanely intense, and the magnetic pull can’t be ignored as their relationship grows experimentation are getting more adventurous waking up something deep inside Reagan. But can it continue with being just sex only, will Reagan get tired of that wanting something more, will Adler give her something more or keep it strictly submissive/dominant, or will it all end because he did forewarn he wanted nothing more than be her dominant?
Again a pretty tame story for the premised idea of bdsm reading.... Reagan is a young woman who left behind her small-town life to take a job as a junior exec in a corporate environment. Her roommate walked away from her own said job and became a burlesque dancer. She's constantly pushing Reagan to go outside her comfort zone. When Reagan has the opportunity to do so, she shocks even herself when she actually does it. during this event she see's her boss and if very flustered and runs into Adler....Adler isn’t the type of guy Reagan usually finds to interact with, and yet she finds him to be irresistible. He also happens to be a Dominant. Adler makes it clear to her that he doesn’t ‘do’ relationships; he’s seeking a new submissive, not a girlfriend. There is some torment of the thought process on reagen's side,... largely derived from Reagan’s self-esteem issues about her own attractiveness, and also from her decision to settle for whatever connection she can get with Adler. knowing it will never be a relationship she desires but she seeks the deep O's she only finds with Adler.....
Nowhere in the book is Adler referred to as a billionaire, just very successful ..... his career is not one you would think which would earn him that much money. Some of Reagan’s behavior early in the story doesn’t really fit with her smart and cautious personality and stood out ..... There are numerous D/s scenes in the book, but nothing wild. still an enjoyable read
“Owned by the Billionaire” is the second book in the series The Owned by Tristan Rivers. She is a gifted writer, the story is well developed, her characters have depth, we care and worry about them. She deftly questions life and our place in it, as we discover who we are. Reagan is a young woman who left her small town life to take a job as a Junior executive in a corporate environment. Her roommate is constantly pushing Regan to go outside her comfort zone. Finally, she does and meets Adler. He is a gorgeous Alpha, Dominant and isn’t the type of man Reagan interacts with, yet she finds him irresistible. The electricity that flows between them is off the charts! But, Adler has made it clear that he doesn’t “do” relationships, he’s seeking a new submissive, not a girlfriend. Regan has a dilemna since she has self-esteem issues, wants to learn more about BDSM, only as Adler can show her and would like a girlfriend relationship with him. Will she accept his conditions? Wonder how long the D/s connection will last?? LOL They have so many barriers towards reaching a happy ending that throughout the book, you wonder if it will happen. The story is fast paced, full of surprises, steamy, romantic, suspenseful and many twists and turns. Will love conquer all? Time to read the book and discover what happens.
Could have easily been a 5 star book I rated this book 3.5 stars, 4 on sites that don't allow for half stars, because I don't like to round down. The story had everything I was looking for in a book with BDSM themes, but then the author did two things that very much lessened my enjoyment of this story: First, Reagan is an issue. I have an immense dislike for characters who make themselves out to be the victom simple because they choose not to talk about things. Reagan is the queen of that. And second, she basically complete changes Adler to please Reagan and I find that to be a recipe for disaster. Why still rate it 3.5/4 stars then? Well, I liked 3/4 of the book a lot and without those 2 issues it would have easily been a 5 star read for me. I deducted 1 star for the change in character and a half star for the not talking issue.

As Reagan is handing out flyers for her roomate at a sexpo, a sexy, handsome man approaches her and stirs her interest. Soon afterwards she finds she lost her phone at the sexpo and the mystery man contacts her to say he had found it and they should meet for a drink and he'd give it back to her. They begin meeting as Adler introduces Reagan to her innate submissive and their scenes are hot as can be, Reagan seems to be a natural and Adler is her perfect dominant/teacher but their sessions are strictly for sex. Eventually Reagan has had it with the sex only and Adler is still a stranger to her in every other way. I must say, she was treated well by Adler and she has many stimulating evenings with him, he seems to make her time with him worthwhile. I loved them as a couple and was happy that they were able to eventually work their way to a HEA.
Adler is working as junior ad executive and is not all that happy. Shes moved to a bigger city that was always her dream but shes lonely and only had her roommate. One night her roommate talks her into going to the Sexpo with her to hand out flyers. There she meets Adler. There is something mysterious and dark about him and she can not get him out of her head. She loses her phone only to find out he has it. She agrees to meet him to get it back. Hes woke up her curiosity in the BDSM world and in him. But can she be his submissive and never a girlfriend. Only time will tell. Great story line with amazing characters. This is the first book I have read by this author but it will not be the last.

Small town girl vs billionaire Dom. Standalone with no cliffhangers. Reagan has moved to the big city and has landed a hard job. She doesn't have time to grow a relationship. Maybe a submissive roll for Adler is perfect? Adler is a hot dom who seems very cold, every once in a while you see glimpses of more. Can Rea really not fall for him? What will Adler do when she asks for more, or should she just walk away? Great book with believable emotions and nice heat. It also comes with a crazy roommate, amazing best friend, and jealous women. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was an okay story with Reagan moving to New York and leaving her small town life behind. Her roommate introduces her to another new world when Reagan helps out at a Sexpo. In the beginning, her interactions with Adler seemed a bit creepy to me. He finds her locked phone, manages to track her down with only her photo and emails her at work. She is curious about what Adler has to offer in the way of kink and agrees to his rules. My biggest issue with the book is BDSM is based on trust. When he started to care for Reagan more than he wanted to, he whips her knowing she could take it? And then he walks away? I liked Reagan enough to give the story three stars, but Adler was a big no.
While this is book 2 in the Owned series by Rivers, this can be read as a stand alone. Please be warned that this book contains dark themes as well as BDSM kink so if you are sensitive to these topics please refrain. Our main characters are billionaire and dominant Alder and Regan, the innocent who is lured into Alder's web of seduction and pleasure. Captivating, steamy with an overall good storyline and flow. I really enjoyed this read.

Small town girl, left to work in the city, working as a junior in at an excellent Advertising agency, a dream job, well paid. One evening will giving out leaflets at Expo BDSM style is proposition but he doesn’t leave his number or gets hers, this starts her thinking, does she need that much of a change? Maybe. I would have given it a five if the story had gone on a little longer, also what happened next. Also at no time did Alder say he was a billionaire, maybe I should have read book one first
While this is the second book in the Owned series by Tristin Rivers, each book reads as a stand alone. Alder sees Regan at a BDSM exposition when Regan is passing out flyers for her room mate. She doesn't seem interested in most of the aspects of BDSM, but she likes to watch and Alder wants to introduce her to more. The book is well paced, interesting, the characters are compelling, and there is a ton of steam. I enjoyed this as much as book1 and best of all you can read both books for FREE with KU. Enjoy the read. I received an ARC from Booksprout
An outgoing roommate has Reagan at a show outside her area of expertise. She gains the attention of the mysterious Adler. Adler wants an “arrangement”, but Reagan throws her whole heart into a relationship.
An exciting, albeit somewhat rocky road for these two. A fabulous, entertaining and scintillating journey for them both. What a great read!

'Owned by the Billionaire' is the second book in Tristan Rivers' "The Owned" series. I read the blurb and was immediately excited to start the book. The beginning has everything to build up to a GREAT crescendo but unfortunately, it was a lot tamer than I had anticipated. Although it was a good storyline and the characters showed growth throughout the book, I just felt like I had read a PG story rather than the R I was anticipating.
Predictable. If I had to sum up this book in one word, it would be predictable. Ever since that trilogy of books from EL James became movies, there has been a plethora of books that emulated them. I admit to having read several. However, Owned by the Billionaire, by Tristan Rivers was not one I would recommend. Some of the variations in this were original, but not enough to encourage me to read more in the series.
Reagan did not expect to meet anyone while helping her friend. He is a mystery to her. He makes her want things she never thought she would ever want. It is a dark love story. You will be drawn to these characters.

“Owned by the Billionaire” is the second story in the ‘Owned’ series. It is a stand alone read with BDSM and Dom/Sub. It is mild on the BDSM scenes and doesn't go to far over the top. This is a story about Reagan and Adler. She steps out of her comfort zone for the first time with a man who doesn't do relationships. This is a nicely developed story that is interesting.
This is the second book in this series. The story will hold your attention, the characters are engaging and have amazing chemistry. This book can be read as a standalone. Looking forward to read more.
This book is so amazing that I do not know if I have the words to describe it. From the Cinderella beginning to the D/s part to the end, this book makes you feel every step of the journey this couple takes.
Ugh. No connection between the MCs. He’s cold and seems to be using her, and then suddenly he’s in love with her and she’s the best thing ever. Interesting premise, but o found it lacked follow through. I wanted to like this more than I did.
