Anthologies are so great as there tends to be something for everyone, not to mention, how great is it to discover new authors?! There are several books here so I'll be adding more to this review as I finish them as I will read every last one.

In Waves/Jen Luerssen
Jen Luerssen is a new to me author but I can promise you that I'll be checking more of her work out after reading In Waves. Owen & Molly are both going through some things when they come face to face again at the beach they had happy memories of, and it's the funniest situation how it happens to be honest.

No Second Chance/Tracey Delaney
This story was very emotional as Lori & Zane thought they were going to be together until life intruded to where she broke both of their hearts but he never knew the why of it. Will they get a second chance?!

Deja You/CG Blaine
Benji & Charlie are actually perfect for each other but seriously, life didn't stop messing with them so it was a wild ride. Will they ever get their HEA?!

Another Shot at Forever/Joslyn Westbrook
Despite my very cynical view on relationships, there's just something about fate stepping in that gets me all sappy LOL! Another Shot at Forever gave me a quick story about fate stepping in for a second chance with the one who got away.

Jenna Gunn is a new to me author & I have to say, I LOVED Under Cover so much so color me a new fan. It all starts at a bachelor auction where Rachel buys her ex boyfriend who hurt her so she wants revenge (go girl), and that ex, Hunter, wants another chance.

Ruthless Consequences/Bella Di Corte
I LOVE Bella Di Corte's mafia romance & she hit another one out of the park with Ruthless Consequences, and frankly, I crave more Lilo & Lucila (hint hint). He's definitely a very original mafia man but I'll never tell so you'll just have to experience it for yourselves!

False Start/Dee Ellis
This is another new to me author & I LOVED False Start so much! It was short(ish) & sweet but it definitely brought the heat!

Stay tuned for a couple more reviews in the coming days because Not Over You is definitely worth devouring every last page! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Another Shot At Forever by Joslyn Westbrook - 5 Star Second Chance Short

I'm reviewing Another Shot At Forever by Joslyn Westbrook which is a wonderful second chance short about college sweethearts who broke up to chase their careers finding each other again. It has all the trademarks that I expect from this author - great writing, a true emotional connection, and steamy goodness all rolled together in a bite size story that has all the feels. Giana is a strong FMC and Reed is the consummate hot alpha footballer with cinnamon roll center. I loved this story and definitely recommend it.

I received an ARC of this story, but I also purchased the anthology so I will add an update on all the stories once I've read the whole thing.

Another Shot at Forever by Joslyn Westbrook

I am not normally a second chance same couple romance fan, having said that, I really loved this story. These two were inseparable college sweethearts. They separated after college due to their jobs, and life in general. He went to play professional football, and she did not want to leave her grandmother, which I totally understand. So Reed ended it thinking it was for the best, but neither one of these two got over each other, and I am sure the life altering situations they each went through only made that even more clear as to what they gave up, because soulmates are a real thing, and these two were definitely it for each other.

Fast forward six years, and imagine both of their surprises when they find out she is his new realtor. So many sparks fly, and then he offers to be her plus one at her awful sisters wedding. I was so glad to see these two get their beautiful hea, they definitely deserved it. I loved how and how they were with each other, they just fell right back in sync, soulmates for life.

Jenna has done it again! She has given her readers a funny, entertaining and wonderful romance with intriguing, authentic characters. Hunter and Rachel’s story includes passion, regrets and an urge for revenge. Rachel bids on and wins a date with the new-to-town bachelor who just happens to be the ex who broke her heart. Her plan for revenge goes awry and Hunter is determined to find a way to redeem himself in Rachel’s eyes. The chemistry between them is still white hot and hard to tame. Hunter, though, has a new outlook on life and a new obligation, an adopted son, that may well end things between them. Will they use the opportunity that Fate has given them to build a future together or will this second chance end like the first one with Hunter and Rachel going their separate ways?

There is a reason why Bella Di Corte is one of my favorite authors and this story once again proves why. She is an amazing storyteller who writes with grace, emotional depth and romanticism. Lilo and Lucila's story immediately sucked me in. I didn't know what I was getting going into it, but the characters are so fierce and intentional, I couldn't help but be pulled into their world. Not just the main characters but all the characters were written with depth and meaning. Each one helped bring this story to life. Just read it, it's wonderful. I hope we see Lilo and Lucila again someday.

Ruthless Consequences - By Bella Di Corte - 5 stars

I received an ARC (advanced reader copy) of this story from the author. It may or may not be the first story in this anthology.

This story is typical Bella. As always, she gives us another amazing story with all the feels and all the wonderful, lifelike characters. For those who have read Bella's Fausti Family Saga, you will love the references, tidbits and mentions in this story related to the Fausti's. If you haven't read the Fausti Family yet, don't worry. You won't lose anything from not having read it (except maybe some time and money, because you'll definitely want to buy the Fausti Family Saga and read it after this one to learn who they are; and then you'll want to re-read this one again!)

Honestly, I'm hoping Bella will treat us to more of Lilo and Lucila. I want to know what happens after; where they go, what they do and more. Whether she gives it to us a a sequel, a novella or even part of her sister Ava's story, I don't care...I just want more! And Ava ... Oh my, does she have a story to tell! Will it be with Tegran? Matteo Fausti? Someone new? (Pure speculation here!) I sincerely hope Bella has Ava on her TBW (to be written) list!

Review for Ruthless Consequences by Bella Di Corte:
'We might have all been designed like snowflakes, but human suffering was universal.'

RC is book one in the Vice City series by Bella and was a part of the Not Over You Anthology. This was my first read from this author, and ngl although there were a few parts which felt a little confusing to me and i had to reread them, overall i really liked this.

It's a second chance, mafia related romance about a couple who never lost that feeling for each other, no matter how much one party may try to deny it.

I thought Lilo and Lucila were a really sweet couple underneath it all and this book demonstrates how misunderstandings and circumstance can lead to that point. But i really loved how Lilo stayed true all the way through and the way he was still there for Lucila's family!

The overall plot had me entertained throughout and now I'm really looking forward to seeing more from this series, as i suspect we know who the next couple will be, and i think they are going to be so intense!

Plus, this definitely had some really good quotes, and one of the main reasons i liked them is because they felt so natural and not like the author was trying too hard to get them in there so they could be used as 'teasers' or something similar. I included my favourite ones in the edit and this caption and i hope you guys feel the same impact from them as i did! 💕

Review for Shattered by Natalia Lourouse.
Shattered was reworked and re-released as part of the Not Over You Anthology. I never actually got around to reading the original version, so i can't say what it was like or how much has changed, but as far as I'm aware, the underlying storyline remained the same, it was just edited to make it read better.

I'm glad Natalia did decide to edit this because whilst I do think a couple of areas could have been fleshed out a bit more, I actually think it was the best writing I've read from her to date!

Shrouded in sorrow, depression and grief, this book sees Noah and Mikaela undergo a tragedy of which most couples wouldn't be able to find their way back from. I think it is obvious what the reveal is going to be from very early on, but I liked how Noah just wanted to protect Mik from the events that happened on that fateful night.

I'm hoping we maybe get books on Noah's friends in the future, as they all seemed to have interesting backgrounds too and played quite a large part in this book.

This is a review of Jenna Gunn's story "Under Cover", a second chance romance.
Bachelor No.1 came onto the stage, he was the youngest of the five handsome Archer brothers, and had quickly been snapped up to cheers and shouts from the female audience. Rachel Lawson had gone with her friends Maddy and Wendi to a bachelor auction, they were having a girls night out and hoping to bag one of the hunks that were being auctioned, when lot No.2 was announced Rachel froze, the ruggedly handsome man on the stage was her ex lover, how could he be a policeman in her lovely Lynn's cove, he had broken her heart when he had left her to become a ski instructor, revenge was on Rachels mind, she would bid for him even if she had to max out her card , she would make him pay.
Hunter still didn't know who had paid such a high price for him but he was looking forward to the date....... meet me at Lifeguard Tower 3 she had instructed, things sounded hopeful.
This story follows the sometimes hilarious first encounter the second time around, how Rachel and Hunter were still inexplicably attracted to each other even though Rachel despised him, how they came to understand the importance of communication.
The chemistry between them was electric but could Rachel forget the past, could she trust him with her heart a second time.
This is a very short but sweet story of two people who, in the past, had only looked to their own needs but were given a second chance at a HEA.

This is a review for Under Cover by Jenna Gunn.

This was a small town second chance romance. The characters were relatable and realistic. The story was funny, steamy and well developed.

Rachel Lawson is attending an auction to buy school supplies for families in need in her hometown of Lynn's Cove. The fundraiser is auctioning off dates with local bachelors. She sees red when her former summer fling Hunter is one of the bachelors and decided to bid him for revenge. The next day she texts him to meet her for their date. They wind up getting hot and heavy at the beach.

Hunter Roman is not the clueless man he once was. Now he is a detective in the Lynn's Cove police department and he has a pre-teen aged adopted son. He adopted his former partner's child after he was orphaned.

After their date they end up house hunting together because they use the same realtor. During a hike in the park behind Rachel's dream home, she is stalked by a mountain lion and falls off a ledge. Hunter saves her, gets her medical care and takes her home where they hook up. She assumes he ghosts her again when he had a family emergency. They make up and get their HEA.

"Another Shot at Forever" is one of the stories included in the "Not Over You" anthology book by 19 authors. I was fortunate to read Joslyn Westbrook's story who is a new author for me to read. Giana and Reed get a second chance at love when they haven't seen each other in six years. Reed let Giana go when he went to fulfill his dream as a football player and their long distant relationship wasn't working. Giana is now a real estate agent who is surprised to find Reed, turned chef, looking for a house in the Hamptons where he can film his cooking show. Giana asks Reed to be her fake fiancé at her sisters wedding to her ex fiancé. This gives Reed the opportunity to rekindle his love for Giana which never died. I am always glad to find new authors to read. I liked the ease of reading this story and the two POV's of Giana and Reed to get their thoughts and prospective. I can't wait to read other books by this author. Enjoy!

His life plans exploded just as she left and he regrets that he did not explain how he now had responsibilities that he willingly accepted. Does he have a chance with her now? The feelings between them are still HOT, but can she accept his new responsibilities? A charming and hot second chance romance. My review is for “Another Shot at Forever” by Joslyn Westbrook

I seriously loved this story! It’s well written, with that typical Westbrook style. Feisty, yet multi-layered, which is well done especially since this is not a full-length novel. A lively, spicy story, yet also vulnerable and with insecurities, just like real life. Dual POV, which I love. Giana is sassy and fiery, and Reed is Lava-Hot but also considerate, respectful and gentlemanly. I took to Reed immediately, but Giana took me just a little bit longer, but as the story progressed I got to know her and connect. Giana has a personality with many sides to it, which makes her feel real. She calls herself a salty little bword LOL. I loved how this story had a message (honesty is the best policy) without getting heavy. It’s the kind of book that’s hard to put down, with good flow and a good pace. I very much enjoyed it, highly recommend!

Growing up
Hunter and Rachel are at different stages when they first meet – she is ready for commitment, he is not. Sure, Hunter should have communicated instead of just leaving, but it still would have seemed like a lame excuse. When they meet again years later, Rachel´s behaviour isn´t exactly that of a grown up woman: she plans to exact revenge but lands in Hunter´s bed almost instantly. Their competition at house hunting should show them what they have in common but trust is still an issue between them and thus Hunter refrains from telling Rachel about his adopted son Marcus, which would have shown her he is able to be a responsible, committing person. After all the misunderstandings are solved, they finally become a happy insta family. The plot in this book is nothing spectacular but the chemistry between Hunter and Rachel is scorching hot.

This is a second chance romance which is about Rachel and Hunter. This story is a standalone but has some characters from her book "Boss Rules" in it. Rachel is attending a charity bachelor auction with her friends. Hunter a detective policeman is one of the bachelors to bid on, but when Rachel sees him, she has "REVENGE" on her mind for how he treated her years ago and bids. She wins. What happens is an engaging story I devoured. This story made me chuckle and swoon as I read. (Loved the beach date- heheheha to sizzling) I totally enjoyed the chemistry, the banter and the angst between Hunter and Rachel in this ARC.

I couldn't help, but add this book to my collection, with 20 authors (some I know, some new to me), and stories of various lengths (so many pages to consume). I loved this collection, it starts with Roommates & Thieves by J.L Beck & C. Hallman - where Nina has the worst roommate ever, who took off with almost everything in the apartment, and she is desperate enough to accept anyone to help pay the rent costs (and bring furniture), even a friend of Grady (her brother). When Nina and Travis become roommates, will it be a disaster or the best thing for them? I loved this pair, and their drama, will Grady approve of their been together? Another story in this collection is Under Cover by Jenna Gunn - where Rachel wants some revenge on her ex, so pays for him at the bachelor auction, what will Detective Hunter Roman think when he finds out? Will their scorching attraction fire up again? I loved this hot pair, their drama, sizzling across the pages and their second chance story. I think this collection has plenty of great of stories, that entertained and kept me busy.

Under Cover checks every box in what I want in a romance novel. It’s emotional, romantic, has super-hot chemistry, and has a well-developed plot line with amazing characters and depth. Rachel and Hunter had a summer fling years ago, then he ghosted her. When he moves back to town, Rachel has the opportunity to get a little revenge by bidding on him at a charity auction. Hunter is now a cop and has matured from the bad boy he used to be. This story is a fun and emotional read and is a great contribution to this anthology. I’m looking forward to reading the other books in Not Over You.

The Not Over You: A Contemporary Romance Anthology is a collection of nineteen stories by different authors. I am reviewing Under Cover by Jenna Gunn. Ms. Gunn does it again! She brings us a book filled with excellent characters, great storyline and a town some of us may be familiar with from her other books. I loved this book. It was a quick and easy read. In it we meet Hunter and Rachel who are going for a second chance at romance. Hunter moves to Rachel's town of Lynn Cove. She sees him at a bachelor auction intent on winning him to give him a piece of her mind about the way he treated her five years earlier. She does so and I am going to quit now, no sense spoiling your fun. You have to read it to see if the guy gets the girl.

I loved reading this book by Joslyn Westbrook which is my first by this author and I found it very enjoyable with great characters in Gianna and Reed. College sweethearts who break up and are brought together again many years later and you can feel the chemistry and fireworks coming off the pages. Reed is so charming and likeable and Gianna is a strong woman who has paved her way in life but when they reconnect you could tell it would be their HEA. This was a quick read that had me hooked from the beginning and I just wanted to keep reading so much more of their story. Looking forward to reading much more from Ms Westbrook in the future.

I'm writing a review for Under Cover by Jenn Gunn in the Not Over You Anthology. Rachel and Hunter had a summer Fling years ago they've both moved on or well Rachel thinks she has she has friends and a good job but when she goes to a charity auction with her friend she sees the jerk who broke her hart Hunter Beach bum exstrodanare. Hunter has know idea that the women he ghosted years ago is out to get him hes changed become more responsible hes a Detective now and has a very emportant secret. Hes convinced that he and Rachel still have something there's plenty of chemistry now he just has to use his charm to convince Rachel there ment to be together. This is a short read about second chances very low angst and minimul drama and I look forward to reading the other stories in this Anthology.

I’m reviewing Under Cover by Jenna Gunn.

I really enjoyed this sweet romance about second chances and looking forward instead of backwards. The characters are both strong and know what they want but are also happy to work towards a better future. Rachel and Hunter had a fantastic and hot romance for years ago but he disappeared and never called her again. Now he’s in town working as a police officer detective and he is also participating in the bachelor auction. Rachel buys a date with him and things don’t go quite as planned. You will laugh at the antics of these two characters and the things that they get up to. Eventually there is a happily ever after.

Dit was een geweldige box set met verschillende verhalen, het beste verhaal vond ik het verhaal van Jenna-Gunn Undercover fantastische lezing. Het is het verhaal van Rachel en Hunter. Rachel gaat naar een vrijgezellenveiling waar haar ex (Hunter) ook is en ze bied op hem om het hem betaald te zetten omdat hij haar jaren geleden Geghosted heeft. Helaas loopt het anders dan gepland is omdat zij wil heel graag haar wraak en Hunter wil niks anders dan alles uitleggen aan haar en haar terug winnen.
De personages en karakters zijn geweldig en goed beschreven. Het is ook een verhaal van een tweede kans krijgen om gelukkig te worden. Dit is een super verhaal en box set. Zeer de moeite waard om te gaan lezen

This is a brilliant second chance read.
Rachel and Hunter had a summer fling a few years ago but he then ghosted here now he has turned up in the small town that she lives in.
She bids on him at a charity auction but only so that she can get revenge only to find that she still has feelings for him.
Hunter's life has changed a lot in the last few years and seeing Rachel again he knows that he wants her in his life again.
Could they make a go of it second time around.
A must read with plenty of drama but also so much love.

This review is for Under Cover by Jenna Gunn. As usual, this amazing author will not leave you disappointed with this funny, sizzling hot, romance story. Rachel is shocked to see her fling from the past, Hunter, take part in a charity auction in her now home town. Determined to make him pay for what he done, Rachel places the winning bid on him and arranges a date with a blow up doll as payback. Hunter however sees the funny side until he finds Rachel standing in front of him, and soon the sparks fly. Hunter wants to prove to Rachel that he has changed and that they can have their second chance at love. A really great story with fantastic characters and a great ending.

I voluntarily read an arc of this book and am leaving an honest review. I read Undercover by Jenna Gunn. This book was ah-mazing! Rachel is so awesome and I love that she goes for everything to “get back at her ex”. Lol, turns out it doesn’t go the way she hoped. Hunter is confused, he has no idea Rachel bought him at the bachelor auction. He’s new to town and can’t figure out what’s happening. There are some juicy bits you’re gonna love and the love story was so, so good! I absolutely loved these two characters. Their salty dynamic and Hunter’s determination mixed with his sweet side…sigh. If the rest of the books in this anthology are half as good as this one it will be great!
