"Never leave?” Mia jumped in. What was this nonsense? “What on earth are you talking about? We're not staying one second longer than we have to," Mia said loud and clear.
The Alpha turned towards her. He looked at her from top to bottom.
"You'll warm my bed tonight. Tomorrow I'll try one of the others."
"Why…, you damn prick…" Mia fumed at him.
He lifted his eyebrows as if he was unaccustomed to be spoken to that way.
"You have no right to keep us here. We're leaving right now."
"Hmm," the Alpha said and stepped closer to Mia.
Mia heard the others backed away, leaving her to face him on her own. But she refused to budge, only lifted her chin to look into his eyes.
"Lower your gaze, woman," he sneered at her.
She considered following his order, but she wasn't one of his subordinates.
"You're not my superior," she said.
He leaned closer. "I can smell your fear, human. Don’t you know what I am?"
What a bizarre thing to ask. Was he a mob boss or something? It wouldn’t help their cause to look scared or bow to his orders no matter what he claimed to be. Mia held her head up high, determined to face the man head-on.
"Yes, you're a bully. And you have no right to keep us here. That's all that matters."
“Refreshing. I’ll give you that,” he said with laughter in his voice.

Okay as a appetiser or prequel - I am interested and curious what obstacles and tests of patience lie before the big bad wolf ...let's see when it continues ...
Characters and plot are okay for a short story, for the sequel past, background and a bit more depth are needed.

Waited one year to re-read before I finally could continue with ‚Mated - Book 2‘ … one star more this year cause I now I knew what I have to expect and so it was more on the point - fast and without a doubt a rough but good one. 😊
Characters and plot are okay for a short story, for the sequel past, background and a bit more depth are needed.

Mated
If I could give this a zero stars I would. Do not waste your money or time. It's not a book it's not even qualified as a novella. It's a short story that is poorly written.

Mia and her two friends are kidnapped whole camping, unbeknownst to them on pack lands, and forced to go to the alphas mansion where Mia defies him and has no clue about shifters. He tells her he will bed her tonight then another tomorrow. Literally has one of his men strip her, tie her down and 'prime' her then the alpha forces himself on her as well. She gets into the three some after a bit. After he knots her he tells her she's his mate. End of story. Lots of errors, missing words or words used incorrectly.

Sounded like this would be the range of dark that I was in the mood for the day. Sadly it really fell short with lack of story and character build, poor writing and over all my ideal hope it would get better just wasn't in the works I suppose. This has triggers obviously as it is a Dark PNR.
