Since I had read a couple books in the Midnight Dynasty World, I figured I'd check out some more by introducing myself to this boxed set. Billions is a set of 3 full length novels (2 of which end in cliffhangers) by 3 different authors, all in the Constantine world. This is a great place to start if you think you may be interested in this world. I definitely had favorites and will be back to read more.
The first story is Stroke of Midnight by K Webster. Age gap forbidden romance for the win. If you like a total alpha hole and a young woman coming into her own that can match up with this Constantine, you will enjoy this one. They are filthy fun, but this one ends in a cliffy and I will definitely be reading the next books because I have to know more about Winston and Ash. Theirs is an intriguing story that was a dirty page turner. ;) 4 stars.
Ruined by M. O'Keefe is the next book. This one took me a little to get into, but wasn't my favorite. A young woman is forced to marry a much older man, but once she is free of him, another man shows up in her life and he is questionable. Ronan and Poppy's story didn't pull me in as much as the first story, but it's a quick read. If you're a fan of romantic suspense, this one may be up your alley, but again, it's the first in a trilogy, so you're left on a cliffhanger. 3 stars.
Last up is Wicked Idol by Becker Gray. This one was set in a prep school and I liked it way more than I thought I would. This is a story of Keaton and Iris, a little almost enemies to lovers that definitely kept me turning the pages. This one was a standalone, but very fast paced. I would've loved more of the characters and how they got to their HEA, but the author left me intrigued by the prep school world. I will definitely be checking out more of the Hellfire books. 4 stars.
All in all, this was a great "taster" of this world and led me to authors and books I might not have read had I not taken the time to read this boxed set. I'm glad I took the chance and I will definitely be back for more from a couple of the authors. Overall, 4 stars.
This box set of three full length novels is a great introduction to the Constantine/Morelli feud in the Midnight Dynasty world. But a word of warning, the first two stories end on cliffhangers and you will be dying to find out what happens next!
Stroke of Midnight by K Webster is the first book in the Cinderella trilogy and is like no Cinderella story you’ve ever read. It is a wonderfully dirty book about a very powerful and manipulative man, Winston, and the girl he will do anything to control, Ash.
Ruined by M. O’Keefe is the story about a young girl forced in to marriage to a abusive senator and her emergence from that relationship into a possibly even less healthy one with a family fixer.
Wicked Idol by Becker Gray is the introduction to the Hellfire Club and a YA book set in an ultra exclusive private school. It tells the story of Iris, the new headmaster’s daughter and Keaton the most entitled of the ritzy club. It’s irritation at first sight and you know what they say about good girls that get under the bad boy’s skin? They eventually get under the bad boy. There are more books in the series, but this story does not end on a cliffhanger.
This is terrific box set to whet your appetite for the Midnight Dynasty World!
I received an advance copy of this book from Valentine PR and these are my honest opinions.
This is a great boxed set although I didn't know going into it that the 1st two books end in cliffhangers! Ugh. Now I must purchase the 2nd book to continue. :)
Overall, I love the story about the Constantines and the Morelli's. These 3 stories will suck you in and highly recommend if you want some sexy, billionaire men in your life!
Billions contains three stories from the Midnight Dynasty world, providing readers with an insight into the interconnected stories that are sure to have you wanting to read every tale set in this world. In Billions, you can find (in my order of preference) Stroke of Midnight by K. Webster, Wicked Idol by Becker Gray, and Ruined by M. O’Keefe.
Stroke of Midnight was easily my favourite in this boxset, and arguably my favourite in the entire Midnight Dynasty world. It’s a story that will make some readers step out of their comfort zone, yet it does so in the most addictive way possible. Note, this one does end on a cliff-hanger.
Wicked Idol was a different type of read, a much sweeter read. It’s a bit on the quick side, yet it is addictive enough to keep you turning the pages. While this one can be read as a standalone, you are introduced to characters who have their own stories.
Ruined was my least favourite, but it did keep me turning the pages. There were many things in this one sure to keep people hooked – the fast pace and the moving parts – yet I wasn’t quite as sucked into this one as I’d hoped. Note, this one also ends on a cliff-hanger.
All in all, a great collection. Stroke of Midnight and Wicked Idol were four-star reads for me, while Ruined was a three-star read, and I certainly recommend the boxset as an introduction to the Midnight Dynasty world.
Stroke of Midnight by K. Webster Nooooo! This ends on one hellacious stomach-turning soul-crushing cliffy! But never fear our heroine has no intention of prostrating herself to the whims of another. Unless before mentioned prostrating is before a handsome overly possessive cruel, and unattainable CEO.
Winston and Ash are deliciously deviant together - As in melt your panties, rubber sheets Hot! He degrades her with a skill and competence that feeds her darker desire for humiliation while also providing her with feelings of importance and love. A hard line to walk but he does it with such grace...
She sates his need to conquer and destroy as well as his rarer need to provide and care for another.
The kicker? They both feed on the deprivation They are mirror images of the others need
So everything is going smoothly with Winston and Ash until - A sadistic trio decide to reinforce their claim on Ash An old enemy spies a weakness A greedy step monster sees a chance to move up the ladder - on someone else's back mind you Secrets are stolen - Lives are threatened and choices that are truly not choices are put into play
Can our little Ash find the strength to save her not so knightly prince?
This is a very very adult fairytale - For those who delight in the darker flavors -- Enjoy
Ruined
Wicked Idol by Becker Gray "This, right now, is real life, and you have the power to make it the way you want. "
A must-read coming of age romance All the feels! This is not a bully romance, or a makes no sense overly fictional angsty new adult romance Wicked Idol was young love in its most beautiful form Stumbling. Bumbling. And Learning as they went
Keaton was the school's hero but not all heroes want to be worshiped Iris was the perfect example of the perfect child - Simple window dressing What happens when fate gives you the chance to change your course? Do you take it and risk disappointing your parents? Do you let it slip through your fingers and stay the course laid out for you? Is your happiness worth the sacrifice?
I really enjoyed how the author developed this story. The way she brought the reader into the story - seamlessly forging our attachments to the characters. Keaton and Iris were complete opposites while still so much alike. Each living out their parents' dreams, while starving their own. Looking for the hint of acknowledgment that they were more than second, that they were in themselves important. There was a raw vulnerability to both of them that I strongly associated with.
First love is something that changes you, heart and soul, forever altering your course in life.
I've been absolutely loving the Midnight Dynasty universe. If you haven't read any, this is a great box set to get started!
Stroke of Midnight by K. Webster was AMAZING!! Seriously, Winston was absolutely everything I love in an alpha male. Even though he was more of an alpha-hole. He wants what he wants and takes it. While Ash made me nervous because she was only 18, she surprised me. She gives it right back to Winston. Amazing book! 5 stars - ★★★★★ If I could give it more I would! Oh and ends on a cliffhanger so immediately pick up the next one! You won't be disappointed!
Ruined by M. O'Keefe was pretty good. I struggled with only getting Poppy's POV. She is not really confident at all with herself in this book. She has a lot of self-doubting inner dialogue in this one. However, I loved Ronan and wanted just more of him. He made up for what I didn't care for with Poppy. The end has a huge cliffhanger that really leaves you wanting to immediately pick up the next book! This one, for me, was 4 stars - ★★★★
Wicked Idol by Becker Gray was really good as well. I really liked Keaton and Iris. These two have amazing chemistry. They are really perfect for each other and have more in common than they realize. You get a glimpse into the Hellfire Club. While this book doesn't end on a cliffhanger, it definitely still makes you want to continue with the series to see where all these other amazing characters end up. Plus, I'm hoping we still see some of Keaton and Iris, because well, I loved them! This one was 4 stars - ★★★★
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is a great box set that brings you three different stories by top authors- K Webster, Becker Gray & M O'Keefe. If you still haven't read The Cinderella trilogy by K Webster, you have to dive into it because it's also a part of the Midnight Dynasty world! I'm absolutely in love with these stories, they are definitely distinct and available in one collection. These stories are definitely addictive, gritty, dark, suspenseful and intriguing but my order of preference is - Stroke of Midnight by K Webster, Wicked Idol by Becker Gray and Ruined by M O'Keefe. But these three novellas are definitely worth the read. Keep in mind that they end in cliffhangers though.
***ARC received in exchange of an honest review***
If you are not familiar with K Webster this is the perfect introduction into her Constantine / Morelli world . She is truly a queen when it comes to wring mafia romances and also happens to be one of my favorite authors.if you are looking for a story full of intrigue, love , alpha hero’s , steamy moments, off the charts chemistry and stories full of so much emotion they they will literally grab onto you from start to finish this box set is perfect for you . I have never read a book by K Webster that I have not absolutely adored and this box set is the perfect example of why that is .
This boxed set is three first books in series by 3 different authors all taking place in the Midnight Dynasty world… and now I have to read three series 😅
These books are all different and all amazing. There aren’t spoilers in between the books but they are all about the Constantine family.
I enjoyed every single one of these books, the first was my favorite with the most spice (🥵🥵🥵) but I liked them all. It was hard to go from one book to the next without stopping to read the whole series but after a few pages of the next book I was hooked! And now I’m going back to finish each series 😆 I loved being immersed in this world and reading the box set like this makes it feel so real. I definitely recommend starting your Midnight Dynasty journey with this set!
I'm completely sucked in to this world of Constantine's and Morelli's!!! This is a 3 book collection starting with K. Webster's Stroke of Midnight ( book 1 of her Cinderella trilogy). It features Winston Constantine, the eldest son and patriarch of the family following the death of his father. He's dark, broody, sexy and dirty and all the best kinds of alpha. Enter Ash Elliott, temptation on a stick. Young, no f#@You get a taste, but you'll need the next 2 books for their complete story. Totally worth it! K. Webster is an incredible author. 2nd book is Ruined, by M. O'Keefe. She's new to me and thanks to her I'm getting ready to read the next book in this series, because again, it's a cliffhanger! I NEED more of Poppy and Ronan. This book is part of the Constantine world, but not directly. The family (and the Morelli's) are all involved, however, Poppy is the daughter of Caroline's best friend. This book hooked me right away, and it left off in a spot that had me running to buy the next book so I could find out what happens next!!
Iris Briggs and Keaton Constantine star in the final book, Wicked Idol by Becker Grey in this set. This is the only complete book in this set and it's a novella. I ADORED this book. New Adult doesn't generally appeal to me, but I am drawn to this family and it's well written. It was the perfect length to write a complete story with heat, teen angst (thankfully minimal!) and the sweetest HEA. Keaton is a Constantine, but possibly the sweetest of them all. However, I haven't read all the books yet for each sibling, so I may have to change opinion!!
My takeaway from this set: 1.Great intro to this series for new readers. 2. You get a taste of 3 different authors and writing styles. 3. You can decide on grabbing the continuing stories from each author!
Each of these stories takes you behind the scenes of the rich and controlling. There are those in power, and those who are not, and there are attractions between them that shouldn’t fit. Stroke of Midnight ends on a cliffhanger, and up to then, our couple is not settled by any means. The heat between them drives them together, but there are forces after them both. Ruined also ends on a cliffhanger and this has you guessing who is there powerful one as appearances aren’t what they seem. These two have heat radiating between them, always have, but are seemingly enemies. Wicked Idol is a complete story, with our two opposites connecting, and neither believing it. There is some drama to work through, some problems to overcome, but they get to start their HEA by the end of the story All three books have action, steam, and intrigue, and you’ll be hooked and want to read about the rest of this dynamic family!
This book gives you an enthralling and addictive taste of the dark and twisted Midnight Dynasty world. Three talented authors take you on an entertaining journey down a rabbit hole that you can’t help get completely lost in.
This boxed set is three separate novels, by three different authors all in the same universe, but different characters. Two of the three stories end with cliffhangers.
For some reason I thought that the boxed set included all of the books in the series together, similar to Driven by K. Bromberg, but the stories were really connected in name only. There weren’t really any character overlaps, which was a bit of a let-down for me, because I really liked the first story, Stroke of Midnight by K Webster. This is an age-gap, forbidden romance featuring a real alpha and an 18-year-old who is discovering her true self. This one is dirty and has a very good level of spice. I will definitely be on the lookout for the next book in this series.
Ruined by M. O'Keefe is book 2. Again, I was a little confused when I started this because I didn't realize it was a completely different story from book 1. It took me a bit to get into - this is a forced marriage. Check trigger warnings. This story didn’t get me as excited as the first, but it again ends on a cliffhanger, and I wanted to know what happened, so I guess I enjoyed it to an extent.
The third novel in this boxed set is Wicked Idol by Becker Gray. This one was set in a prep school and it was my least favorite. It’s an enemies to lovers, but I have a hard time getting into that at the high-school level.
All in all, this was a great "taster" of the Constantine world and introduced me to some new authors, but I was frustrated that I was left hanging multiple times, but still technically reading the same “book.” I’d give it 3.5 stars overall.
Stroke of Midnight is K Webster’s version of Cinderella. This author is known for her dark, dirty, taboo stories and she doesn’t disappoint here. A great concept told in Dual POV, an age-gap and erotic adult tale. This does end in a cliffhanger ready for the next two books that complete the story. Cinderella is Ash Elliott “Cinderelliott” a pretty, sassy, bright young woman who is looking forward to going to college. Her dad has re-married so like the original she has an evil stepmother Manda but in a great twist Ash has three awful step brothers, the Triplet Terrors. Prince Charming is Winston Constantine a very rich, older, total alpha and controlling CEO whose mantra is “Work over Play” and everyone must abide by his rules. Due to unforeseen circumstances she ends up cleaning his office and leaves a sweet wrapper instead of a glass slipper. Winston is powerful and punishes anyone who crosses him or his family, so an employee not doing their job is like a red rag to a bull. Also he is bored and not much excites him anymore so she becomes his new obsession when he gives her a new job as his “Pleasure Partner”. The banter between them is funny and their chemistry oozes off the pages. He is a real dirty talker and his proclivities unique and twisted. Very crude and his kinky side bonkers at times which is why he has never found anyone to fulfil them. He portrays a coldhearted and untouchable persona so it is quite gratifying that she effects him more than he likes. My feelings for Winston and Ash changed throughout the book, one minute loving them and the next furious, questioning their actions. Every character is shrouded in mystery, most are messed up and we haven’t even met all of the Constantines or Morellis yet. One character you will love is Shrimp who provides some frivolity in all the darkness. The rivalry between the two families is at the core of this story and the cliffhanger leaves the door open to more intrigue and mayhem. Now I want to know what Ash is going to do next and how Win will cope with his feelings for her? How will their mothers react and will the Triplet Terrors get their comeuppance, especially Scout as he a real piece of work? Ruined / Stolen Hearts by M.O'Keefe is a dark, mysterious, romantic suspense story about Ronan and Poppy. It also involves the feud between the Constantines and the Morellis. Ronan Byrne is the Constantine’s assassin you may have met in the Beast of Bishop’s Landing series by Amelia Wilde. He is a dark, cruel and powerful character. We don’t learn much about him and at first I wasn’t sure what his plans were with Poppy. Poppy is young and struggling since her parents died because she has been left with no way to support them. She is now her younger sister’s guardian which is hard as she has mental health problems. Poppy agrees to marry an older man to help solve their problems. The first time she meets Ronan is at her engagement party and he is a mysterious stranger hiding in the shadows. They talk and she can feel their chemistry but there is nothing she can do about it. She always remembers him because after that night her life changes when she marries the Senator. Poppy’s husband is abusive so when Ronan appears again a few years later she is a broken woman. Ronan is shocked but there is still the chemistry between them. He warns her she is in danger. Their romance is a slow burn as they both have issues and don’t trust anyone. The author keeps you guessing about what will happen next and will keep you on the edge of your seat.It is a story is full of mystery, intrigue and suspense with so much tension between Poppy and Ronan. There are some startling revelations which lead up to the cliffhanger at the end. I have so many questions I need answering that I am looking forward to the next two books in the series and seeing what happens between Poppy and Ronan.
Wicked Idol is my first book from Becker Gray. This story is about Caroline Constantine’s son, Keaton Constantine. This is the first in the Hellfire Club series and a standalone set at Pembroke Academy where Keaton is a senior. He is the rugby captain, a member of the Hellfire Club and king of the school. Iris Briggs is not only the new girl at school but also the Headmaster’s daughter. She is desperate to not draw attention to herself and survive the year. However, her plans go awry when she bumps into Keaton and spills his coffee all over the members of the Hellfire Club her first day. Keaton is fascinated by the new girl. She is irritating, sassy and mouthy, all which he dislikes so annoyed that he gets turned on when they argue. She isn’t afraid of him and he feels like she can really see him and understands him. The chemistry and attraction between them builds the first week of school and comes to a head when they both hide out in the library one day. When they finally kiss he’s shocked that she actually wants him, a feeling he rarely gets. He often feels lonely, unwanted and unloved so is surprised she is kissing him back. Iris can’t believe Keaton is interested in her, especially as she knows he has a girlfriend. She doesn’t know that his relationship with Clara is all fake to keep their families happy. Poor Iris is so confused how she keeps ending up with Keaton when neither of them like each other. She has set her heart on attending the Sorbonne in Paris which will also give her freedom from her parents so she can’t afford to mess around with him but it looks like fate has other ideas. Caroline wants Keaton to work for the family’s business but Keaton isn’t driven or ambitious like Winston. He wants to play professional rugby or have his own design company. She insists he continues to date Clara Blair as the relationship is part of an important business deal between the families and they expect them to marry. Although she is controlling and cold to him, all he’s ever wanted was to make his mother proud of him. They get assigned a project to work on together and things between them escalate and become very intense. She sees he pretends to be the spoilt rich kid and is far smarter than anyone knows. Turns out they both have controlling parents who never listen to either of them. Keaton is very loyal to his friends so can’t tell her the truth about Clara and this leads to misunderstandings, jealousy and thoughts of betrayal. In his desperation to show his mother he can be of value to the family, he makes the biggest mistake of his life. I enjoyed seeing Keaton’s vulnerable side and felt all his pain when he was dealing with his mother. The more of these books I read, the more I hate Caroline. Iris became a right little firecracker and really put the cocky, bossy Keaton in his place. I liked how the author showed the pressure of family expectations and all the doubts first love brings. Lovely epilogue to conclude the couple’s story and shows how love can conquer all. I look forward to see what happens to the other students we met in the rest of the series.
Merged review:
This is K Webster’s version of Cinderella. If you are looking for a romantic lovey-dovey story then you’ve certainly picked up the wrong book. This author is known for her dark, dirty, taboo stories and she doesn’t disappoint here. If you are a fan of this author then this is very much along the lines of This Is War, Baby, with the same vibes and feelings. Stroke of Midnight is part one of the dark Cinderella novel and part of the Midnight Dynasty World. A great concept told in Dual POV, an age-gap and erotic adult tale. All the fairy tale characters are present but not as you know them. Very crude and his kinky side bonkers at times which is why he has never found anyone to fulfil them. He portrays a coldhearted and untouchable persona so it is quite gratifying that she effects him more than he likes. Is he Prince Charming? Could be but his younger brother could take that crown. Is he the Villain? He thinks he is but there are others who are monsters and more villainous than him. My feelings for Winston and Ash changed throughout the book, one minute loving them and the next furious, questioning their actions. He is into erotic humiliation and takes pleasure in embarrassing Ash which eventually irrevocably change her. If you think you can work out who is good and who’s bad in this then give up because every character is shrouded in mystery. You might find some niceties running through them but most are messed up and we haven’t even met all of the Constantines or Morellis yet. One character you will love is Shrimp who provides some frivolity in all the darkness. It was a shock that it ended in a cliffhanger as I was suspecting all the loose ends to be tied up at the ball, however it was a good ending leaving the door open to more intrigue and mayhem. Now I want to know what Ash is going to do next and how Win will cope with his feelings for her? How are their mothers going to react and will the Triplet Terrors get their comeuppance, especially Scout as he a real piece of work? The rivalry between the two families is at the core of this story and the author only gave us one snippet of information about it, so it is going to be interesting to find out more and see if any more family members get involved.

If you have read any of the other books in the collection then you will know how complicated the Constantine family is and especially Caroline. She wants Keaton to work for the family’s business with his older brother but Keaton isn’t driven or ambitious like Winston. He wants to play professional rugby or have his own design company. She insists he continues to date Clara Blair as the relationship is part of an important business deal between the families and they expect them to marry. Can he ever do what makes him happy or is he always going to do what other people want him to do? Who will he choose – Iris or his family? We don’t learn much about the other students but I thought the support Iris got from Serafina, Aurora and Sloane was great. They wouldn’t let her get away with being boring and showed her she was strong. They pushed her to be different and try things. They were hilarious with their ideas over the Hellfire club boys and I look forward to see what happens to them all in the rest of the series. Stroke of Midnight by K. Webster: Holy forbidden hotness! Do you love taboo and a dirty talking alpha? Winston Constantine is your man! He is the ultimate dirty talking alpha-hole, anti-hero! He exudes sex appeal, danger, and power. He is used to people bowing down to him and doing his bidding. Ash is a beautiful, forbidden, and unexpected temptation that he won't deny for himself. He knows everyone has their price and Ash is no exception to the rule. He knows that she needs the money and dangles that "carrot" in front of her. He only wants to scratch an itch and then he'll be done with her, but he isn't prepared for her sass or how perfectly she fits him. He soon learns there is much more than meets the eye with Ash.
Forbidden never felt so good! Stroke of Midnight is an erotic and dark retelling of Cinderella. This book is off the charts filthy, kinky, and sizzling hot! I was hooked from the start and couldn't put it down. There were some very intense and emotional moments that keep you on the edge of your seat and have your heart beating out of your chest. The banter and the push and pull between Winston and Ash were entertaining and sexy as hell. Ash didn't make things easy for Winston and that was something he wasn't used to. I loved that Winston also had a protective streak when it came to Ash. There is also a touch of suspense that involves a rival family that I can't wait to see unfold. If you don't mind twisted, dark, steamy, and kinky, this book is for you! I can't wait to see how the story unfolds in the next book! This does end in a cliffhanger. You'll definitely need the next book!
Ruined by M. O'Keefe: I couldn't get enough of this raw, intense, and twisted book that kept me on the edge of my seat. The push and pull, back and forth, and sexual tension between Ronan and Poppy was hot! There is no shortage of angst, heartbreak, mystery, and action. This is my first read by M. O'Keefe but it won't be the last. It was well-written, the plot was unique and gripping. The characters were intriguing and captivating. This does end in a jaw-dropping cliffhanger. I can't wait to see what happens next!
Wicked Idol by Becker Gray: I am totally hooked on the Hellfire Club Series! Wicked Idol fed my addiction to this series, ramped up the hotness factor by a hundred degrees, and left me feigning for more!
Iris is the headmaster's daughter. She's a good girl who has planned her life out. She's not like the rich, privileged kids who go to Pembrook Prep. She's only there on scholarship because her father is the headmaster. Keaton is one of those privileged boys. He is one of the bad boys of the Hellfire Club. Everyone knows them. Iris makes quite the impression on him the first day of school when she trips and spills her coffee, spraying it all over him.
Keaton is an oh-so-sexy, dirty-talking alpha who sets the pages on fire. Keaton took an instant disliking to Iris the moment she spilled her coffee on him. Now he's determined to make her life hell. Who does this Miss Goody Two Shoes think she is? You know what they say about that thin line between love and hate...
What follows is lots of banter and sexual tension. Iris is sassy and doesn't put up with Keaton's crap. What he isn't expecting is her smart mouth and defiance or the way he can't seem to resist her. OMG! Their banter is hot. Their chemistry is combustible and could light up a city block, but there are also the emotions and angst, they make you feel so much. They both have so many layers and they begin to peel one another's layers back, what's left is simply beautiful.
This is a must-read!!!! I was engrossed from start to finish. The plot is entertaining and addicting. The characters are real and relatable. I couldn't get enough of them. I highly recommend reading this entire series. This is a standalone with a HEA.
Billions is a Constantine Boxset that gives us a teasing taste of this dark twisted Constantine-Morelli world by three different authors. The first two end in cliffhangers and continue on through a trilogy. If you like you men dominate, your couples into dark, pushing boundaries seggs, and your romances full of gripping suspense…one click away.
Stroke of Midnight by K Webster Told thru dual perspective. Part of a trilogy. Winston Constantine is ruthless, controlling, and Ash Amber Elliot finds herself on his radar. When she finds herself face to face with the older Winston and his very deviant demands the game of cat and mouse between them begins. To Winston Ash is a breathe of fresh air and her willingness to not only play his games, but embrace them him intrigued. Ash has her step-brothers attention. And, when knowledge of their games fall into the wrong hands it could mean public humiliation for Winston. But, Ash isn’t a weak princess and she only bows down to one man- those threatening her are about to find this out.
Ruined by M. O’Keefe Told in first person. Is part of a trilogy. Poppy is orphaned, broke, and responsible for her younger sister Zilla. When Caroline Constantine, an old family friend and neighbor, offers her help, Poppy finds herself married to man almost 30 years older. At her engagement party she meets a handsome stranger who is no one and everyone combined. Two years life, beaten down by life and her abusive husband, her life takes a drastic turn. Set free from the life she knew, trying to find herself amidst the rubble of her marriage, Poppy finds herself face to face with that handsome stranger. Ronan is Caroline’s enforcer and he awakens feelings Poppy had long given up on. Ronan wants her to leave this life. Tries to open her eyes to what is happening around her. But, Poppy refuses to be a victim again. Only she is in the middle of a war she has no clue about.
Wicked Idol by Becker Gray Told in dual perspective. Is a stand-alone, but the first book in the Hellfire Club Series.
I completely get into a bully, enemies to lovers trope. Throw in it is part of a series and I probably read about those who will be falling down the rabbit hole of angsty love next- sign me the hell up.
Keaton, rugby hero, rich boy, part of the Hellfire Club that ruled the school, and a complete alpha hole. Iris, new girl, headmaster’s daughter, smart and determined. Their meeting was an accident that brought Iris to the attention of the Club and Keaton. He tries to school her on how it is going to be and she shoves that theory right back in his face.
When they are paired up for a school project they learn more about each other than expected. There is more than meets the eye to Keaton and the life the world thinks he leads. Iris has dreams and all she wants is an easy year and her freedom. Secrets come out as they become wrapped up in their secret and hot AF relationship.
Keaton:“All fresh faced with her sky blue eyes and dusting of freckles on display and looking so clean and fresh and fucking pure. I wanted to make her dirty.” Their need for one another steams off the pages.
Iris: “God, when he use that voice… I quivered. It’s frighten me how much control he had over my body, over my reactions, just by being him. And frighten me to think he might have that kind of control over my heart- and he could start racing with happiness or studying with anxious pain. I couldn’t let that happen. I wouldn’t.”
I was completely caught up in this book, in Keaton and Iris lust and their journey to love and freedom.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
A controlling billionaire with the maid... The dangerous fixer with an heiress... The hottest boy in school with a bookish girl.... Billions contains three full length novels!! Meet the powerful Constantine family in this breathtaking boxed set from three talented authors.
Oh goodness. How did I know know that there were books about the Constantine's that were written by different authors? I was kind of mad at myself and I'm so glad that I got to read this boxset. I love me some Constantine's. This book contains three full length novels that are absolutely amazing. I guess I should say they are in the Midnight Dynasty world and I have read almost all of them. There are just a few that I haven't read and I will fix that as soon as I have time. This book though, since I got distracted contains three full length novels: Stroke of Midnight by K Webster, Ruined by M. O'Keefe and Wicked Idol by Becker Gray. I was so hooked while reading this book that my family literally had to yell at me to get my attention. Ooops.
Stoke of Midnight by K. Webster is an age gap forbidden romance that you will not stop reading until you are done. After all you don't tell a Constantine no ever and when he wants something he wants it. But the guy doesn't do love and she is desperate for money and to get out of her situation and will do just about anything to get out of it. I know that sounds kind of more desperate than I meant it to but I am at a loss of words for how to say it. Her father has married a horrible woman with horrible triplets an is dipping into her college fund to support his new wife. They have not control over the terror triplets and things are just crazy. So it is all fun and games until it isn't between Winston and Ash are sure to steal your heart and you will want to dive into the books that follow right away.
Ruined by M. O'Keefe is the next story and what a story it is. I was hooked from the very beginning and fell so in love with Poppy and Ronan. This poor girl has really been in a mess and she is not able to make her own choices like she should have because her father died and left absolutely nothing. She is basically homeless and has a sister than needs help as she suffers from mental disorders. But Caroline Constantine has been kind to her family and took her in to live in her pool house but her way out just stinks to the core. I felt so sorry for her but then night when her life is about to change forever is the night she meets Ronan but she has not a clue what his name is till years later. There is and intense attraction between these two though and it just might cause you some hot flashes. However ugh it is the first book in a trilogy so your left hanging in the best of ways.
WIcked Idol is the last book in the boxed set and it is equally as great. This one is set in a prep school where you are going to meet Keaton and Iris and I would call this one a enemies to lovers story that is fast paced and a real standalone. I loved these characters and the stories they had to tell. I loved every second of it and so need to know more about this series even if this was a standalone.
You can not go wrong with this boxed set. I highly recommend it and loved reading every second of it.
A Stroke of Midnight I certainly won’t be reading my kids this flippin’ fairytale. But this momma sure loved this bedtime story. This Cinderella-ish like story is captivating and naughty. It’s an oh so devishly dirty and delicious age-gap romance and is perfection in the most alpha and erotic ways.
Winston, the charming and gorgeously irresistible villain and Ash Elliott who he has so appropriately named his “Cinderelliott.” It’s not a dirty rags to riches story, it’s a coming into your own with your perfectly filthy perverse partner. It’s about discovery and acceptance of just how deep your desires run and being okay with the lengths in which you will go to give into them.
You will be instantly allured by Ash and her foul mouthed fairy god daddy as they come up with a taboo and deviant arrangement that works out to be mutually beneficial for both of them. I enjoyed every second of reading how they worked out the kinks in their arrangement as they went along. 😏
This book has so much going on with our fierce and feisty heroine Ash to the alphahole Winston. You will run the gamut of emotions. It’s so hot, and frustrating. It’s devastating and enraging. One minute my heart is all ooey gooey and the next I’m all ragey. It.Was.Awesome.lol Dang that Cliffy though! You still must read it!! ⭐️🖤⭐️🖤⭐️🖤⭐️🖤⭐️
Ruined
This was Poppy and Ronan’s unforgettable story. Poppy is in a horrible situation after the death of her father. So much loss for this poor girl. When she meets the dangerously sexy Roman she’s immediately done for. Even when he says he’s not the man for her, she can’t stay away. This story is full of mystery and suspense. However be warned, this has a CLIFFHANGER!!
Wicked Idol. Iris and Keaton’s story was just a forbidden dream. The richest and most popular jock and the headmaster’s off limits daughter. The girl who just wants to be a wallflower and get through her last year of high school gets under the skin of the arrogant guy trying to live up to his family’s expectations. What a recipe for angst and amazingness.
In conclusion this is a great collection to give you a yummy taste 👅 of the Midnight Dynasty books. Two of the three have cliffhangers but that’s okay because you will definitely want to check out the continued stories in the next books.
This story pulled me in right away! Winston is a billionaire alphahole with very specific “interests”. When a maid named Ash is caught not doing her job, he punishes her 😏 Turns out she enjoys the same “interests” as Winston.
Ash is struggling with her home life and Winston helps her by offering her a new job and a place to stay if she needs one. But Winston’s help is only making things at home worse for Ash.
Even though Winston’s “interests” may seem cruel, he also cares for Ash. I’m excited to read book 2 of the series (not in the box set). I’m really interested to see where Ash and Winston’s relationship goes.
**There is some serious degradation and humiliation is this book so PLEASE CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS**
Part 2 Ruined by M O’Keefe
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/ 5 🌶🌶/ 5
Poppy is a 20 year old girl who was promised to a 48 year old US Senator. After 2 years of marriage, her life takes an unexpected turn. She has survived an abusive husband and now has her freedom to do what she wants.
Ronan, a man she met at her engagement party, works for a friend of Poppy’s. He seems to be on Poppy’s side and tries to get her to leave town. He insists that she’s not safe in Bishop’s Landing.
Poppy and Ronan struggle with their feelings for each other. I liked the back and forth between them. Poppy hasn’t been able to make her own choices since marrying the Senator, so it was good to see her go from timid housewife to confident woman.
The cliffhanger was great!! What is betrayal or protection?! I’m ready to read book 2 (not in this box set).
Part 3 Wicked Idol by Becker Gray
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/ 5 🌶🌶🌶/ 5
Iris is the new girl at school and she’s also the new headmaster’s daughter. On her first day she literally runs into the Hellfire Club, spilling Keaton Constantine’s coffee all over the group. The Hellfire Club is a group of elite boys, the kings of Pembroke Prep. Keaton is one of the kings and is not pleased that Iris got in their way.
Iris is “saved” by a group of girls who are seasoned in dealing with the Hellfire Club. Serafina, Sloane and Aurora befriend her and protect her.
After sharing an unexpected kiss, Iris and Keaton cannot stop thinking about each other. The problem is that Keaton is a Constantine and is expected to date a mutually beneficial girl, not the headmaster’s daughter.
I really liked this story. I thought there was plenty of drama and conflict, but it also had moments of calm and sweetness. Keaton has always been the “yes” mama’s boy but he finally does something for himself. And Iris is trying to get out of the shadow of her perfect sister.
The ending was great! I will continue to book 2 for more of the Hellfire Club!
BILLIONS a boxed set by authors K.Webster, M. O' Keefe and Becker Gray contains three full length stories set in the Midnight Dynasty World all of these stories are standalones and can be read as first in the series and they are all a "free" ticket in the Constantine World.
Stroke of Midnight by K.Webster is the first book in a series in the Cinderella Trilogy which is a modern day Cinderella but actually a lot more dirtier, a lot more filthy and a lot more exciting. When I was a little girl I was in love with Cinderella's Prince charming and I never though that I will read a steamier version of the original story but I have read it thanks to K.Webster's mind and how it works and now I'm in love with Winston Constantine who is a lot more dirtier and filthier version than Cinderella's Prince Charming HELL YEAH 🤤🥵 This story is an age gap, a taboo story two of my faves. What can I say, I love me an older men, go ahead and sue me 😈 In this story you will find a lot of steam and a lot of kinks HELL YEAH twice 🤤🥵😈 I can't wait to read the last two books in this series to see how this fairy tale will end.
Ruined by M. O' Keefe is also set in the Midnight Dynasty world but is a standalone book and is no part of a series. It follows the story of Poppy who is left without nothing when her father dies with a lot of dept and her sister who is sick so she has no choice than to marry someone she doesn't love, someone who is much older than her 28 years older to be more precisely. He is dangerous, cruel, a murderer and after 2 years being married with him living in hell she manages to survive and to stay strong she is finally free. She is thorn apart between two men the one she was forced to marry and Ronan the dark and misterious angel who is always there for her lurking from the shadows always ready to come out and step off the darkness when she's needing him and wanting him the most. This was my first read by M. O'Keefe and def not the last looking forward to read the rest of her books Broken and Untamed as well.
The last book in this boxed set in Wicked Idol set in a prep school also part of the Constantine world in Midight Dynasty world part of the Hellfire Club series filled with lot of angst, lot of steam, love and hate. An enemies to lovers. It follows the story between Keaton Constantine your typicall bully, rich and spoiled boy who is focused on Iris a sweet and innocent girl to make her life a living hell just to satisfy his family. But once they are set up to work on a school project together the chemisty between them starts to boil up and becomes a hot and passionate relationship.
This is a very dark Cinderella like retelling. Winston and his family rule over New York and he does so with an iron fist, cold heart, and ruthless nature. Ash is a girl from money but her evil stepbrothers and stepmother make sure she doesn’t have it or anything without threats and strings attached.
When Ash is brought in as part of the cleaning staff at Winston’s company, he is less than pleased with her performance and what he assumes will be a dressing down and firing by him turns into him being completely enamored with the young girl.
A dark and unexpected romance begins between the two that is scorching hot. But just as their romance seems to be about more than just sex, the monsters come crawling out of the shadows ready to destroy her and Winston.
*readers should be warned that some material may be sensitive in nature. Elements of bdsm and forced sexual experiences are described.
Ruined by M O’Keefe
✅Dark Romance ✅Arranged/forced marriage ✅Broken Hero ✅Broken Heroine ✅ Bad guy you want to love 🔥🔥🔥 ✅More lies and secrets than a soap opera
I have been waiting to read about Ronan because to be honest, in the past, I’ve despised him. But this book!!!! Ugh, he is not who I thought he was and I should have known that damn Caroline Constantine would be part of his situation!
Poppy is the sweetest thing and her situation will break your heart in two. And what’s worse is that the woman who should have protected her really hasn’t.
In the end I was left with so many questions. Who wants to hurt Poppy? Why? What is Ronan’s intentions in all of this? Who is the good guy and who is the bad?…
Wicked Idol by Becker Gray
✅Part of interconnected series ✅High school romance ✅Enemies-to-lovers ✅Head masters daughter ✅Billionaire jock
My review:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Heat factor:🔥🔥🔥🔥
What happens when billionaire jock, Keaton Constantine, meets the new head masters daughter, Iris Briggs? All of his well laid out plans fall to pieces.
From the moment Iris literally runs into Keaton, the sparks fly. And even though these two loathe each other, they quickly discover their chemistry and real feelings are so much more!
These two are scorching hot together and Keaton is so refreshingly sweet and genuine. Iris is a firecracker who knows what she wants in life and fights for it!
Stroke of Midnight. Winston is super Villainous and not the relationship type of guy, but he also has a certain type of kink he prefers. He is also very controlling in all things and when he finds a candy wrapper in his office, he is determined to find the culprit and make them pay. He was not ready for it to be the beautiful Ash who has no cares in the world other than getting money to be able to go to school since her father stole all of hers. They become quite a pair. He wants to humiliate her all the time as he gets off on it and she does it as he pays her for it. They start to have felt for each other, but he will not every take it that far as he doesn't do relationship's all though he will protect her with everything he has. This is book one in a trilogy and once you read it you will have to get the next one as it does end in a cliff hanger. Ruined is about Poppy who has been down on her luck forever. When parents died, she had nothing and had to quit school and get her sister the care she needed of course Caroline Constantine stepped right in and helped her along by marring her off to the Senator who was not a nice man and hurt her in many ways. At her Engagement party she met Ronan who intrigued her, but he disappeared before she got the change to tell him who she was. Ronan has had a tortured past and it reflects on who is today. He see's Poppy being hurt and want to help but how. Then things change and he wants to protect her as someone is out to hurt her but who. Things escalate quickly and he admits he has feelings for her but won't act on them They do have their moments of hot chemistry but nothing fully. Then wow didn't expect that Cliff Hager, had to get the next book. Wicked Idol. You meet Iris the new girl and Keaton the king of the school. There is an instant attraction between the two of them, but Keaton has a girlfriend. He keeps running into Iris and the chemistry is so strong they give in to their desires. Things progress quickly and they steal away together every chance they get. Iris and Keaton are more alike than they even knew and are trying to find their own way through life with high expectations from their families. The HEA was such a good one that left you with a warm happy glow after reading the book. This was a great collection to get you started on the Constantine family. Well written and all three stories pull you in, I was given this collection as an ARC for my honest review.
I absolutely love everything Midnight Dynasty/Constantine/Morelli! This boxset starts three of the most intriguing in this anthology based on a long-standing feud between two wealthy, cutthroat families in NY. The Constantines are bright and shiny while hiding their nastier side. The Morellis are dark and devious and hide nothing. It’s brutal and dangerous especially when the men and women fall for their enemy. I love it! These three stories run the gambit with a hilarious fairytale-based, filthy affair to a smoldering, dark and dangerous romance to a steamy prep school bullying love story. All are not-to-be-missed fantastic!
K Webster’s delicious Cinderella based trilogy is my favorite (I think) with the brilliantly devious head of the Constantine family, Winston engaging in a sordid affair with the help. Oh, the shame of it all! Ash is a fabulous heroine with her smarts and her sass. She’s the Cinderella part of the story with an evil stepmother and three demonic stepbrothers (the terrible triplets.). There is so much to unpack in this story with the sizzling age-gap romance and the dirty, filthy acts Winston subjects Ash to and the turnaround with Ash getting the upper hand. It’s irreverent, funny and so filthy dirt hot. I love anything from this fabulous author but this series is something special. I had to read it again after reading the other books in this anthology to see if everything fit. The authors do a terrific job with character and storyline consistency. A must read again and again and again!
Then there’s the beautifully emotional trilogy by Molly O’Keefe between the Constantine-adjacent beauty, Poppy and the Constantine bulldog assassin, Ronan. It’s dark, dark, dark when Ronan comes to Poppy’s rescue and starts them on a deadly path of danger and heartbreak. It’s thrilling and sexy as they grow closer while resisting the dark, passionate pull and try to stay ahead of their enemies. This was my first read by this author and I was hooked on her enthralling storytelling, delicious characters and sensual romance. A must read!
Finally there’s the start of an exciting dark prep school series by Becker Gray. I love this series and this first story is my favorite with the hunky Constantine son, Keaton and the sassy co-ed, Iris. It’s a bad boy/good girl romance that’s heart meltingly romantic and panty dripping sexy with a side of bullying thrown in. This is a standalone read but you’ll want to read the rest of the series too. Loved it!
STROKE OF MIDNIGHT by K Webster - Winston and Ash Brace yourselves everyone, K Webster holds nothing back with her dirty talking billionaire Winston Constantine and his new plaything Ash Elliot! The story follows a Cinderella theme with a heartless, gold digging step mother and evil triplet stepbrothers. Ash needs money and Winston will pay her generously to meet his needs. The scenes can be intense, hot and kinky as hell. Although this is a business deal, the chemistry between them is bringing out some feelings they weren't expecting. This book will leave you writhing with desperation for book 2 Prince Charming RUINED by M O'Keefe - Ronan and Poppy Hold on to your hearts ladies, this story is so emotional, dark, mysterious and ohh so sexy. This is my first book written by M O'Keefe and I am so glad I had the opportunity to read it! Poppy, our heroine has been manipulated all her life and sold into marriage at an early age to a nasty, abusive older man. I loved her character, I just wanted to save her. Ronan, our hero is an Irish enforcer who works for the Constantine's. His character is very mysterious, dark and broody. I look forward to learning more about him! They are drawn to one another yet he fights it even though he watches over her from afar. Their chemistry is sizzling and I can't wait for the second book in this trilogy!! WICKED IDOL by Becker Gray - Keaton and Iris First book in the Hell Fire Club Series, Bully to Lovers Keaton Constantine certainly follows in his older brother Winston's sexy footsteps!! Alpha heart throb who loves to bully the girls of Pembroke Academy until he met his match in Iris Briggs, the new Head Master's daughter. Iris is a good girl living under her strict father's thumb, who just wishes she could follow her dreams of being a photographer. When Keaton and Iris meet the sparks fly, eventually the attraction takes over, the chemistry and heat is insane, and the angst and heart break is nearly unbearable. I loved the the way they banter and the way Iris can put Keaton in his place. She knows what she wants. Keaton has his own issues with an over bearing mother, an uber successful older brother to be compared to and living a lie just to keep his mother happy. Becker Gray are new authors to me, and I must say I am quite impressed and look forward to reading more from them. I loved this story, really enjoyed the characters!!!
Man, I can't even tell you what this book did to me when I read it. All I gotta say is it does end in a cliffhanger, but damn this entire story had you turning page after page. Throw out anything you thought about Cinderella this one is way hotter and darker. Ash Elliot needs money her father married evil and she has evil step-brothers that will try to make her life hell. She never thought she would have to worry about anything until she meets the one man that owns it all. Winston Constantine owns it all and when someone wrecks havoc in his castle well they are about to get it. What he doesn't expect is Ash turning his head. He wants to treat her like a Princess, however, her family has other ideas. This will be a battle for Ash to break free of her life. Will it be by herself or with Winston? And can he protect her in time?
Wicked Idol by Becker Gray Keaton is a jerk of epic proportions. I really wanted to throat punch him as a classmate and as a mom well he would not have been in my kid's life. Iris is adorable and I liked her personality in this story. Iris is new to the school and just wants to get her schooling over with. She never thought that the arrogant jerk would catch her eye, but sometimes boys are not what we need in our lives. Keaton is a bully and the way he treats her turned me off. However, when these two do get closer things do change my point of view. I'm not big on school romances but in the end, this one I ended up enjoying.
Ruined by M O'Keefe Things are not right in Poppy's world and it hurt my heart for her. She not only had to marry someone older, but their marriage was not the roses that he made it out to be. She is trying to overcome so much while trying not to die. When her husband dies things start to turn and well things she didn't know about come to fruition. She's not in charge of everything he had and well it's shocking. Ronan is a mystery, to say the least. They don't really say a lot about the ins and outs of him he's just there. He's trying to protect Poppy all the while doing his job. These two have chemistry for sure, but Poppy's life is about to become crazy with every new thing about her late husband pops up. This does end in a cliffhanger.
I love me a good box set, and Billions definitely fits that bill. It's three stories by three authors that are automatic one clicks for me.
A Stroke of Midnight/K. Webster: This story is a very dirty twist on Cinderella which really pulled out my crazy as I read it LOL. Winston is a super sexy, dirty man who always gets what he wants, and what he wants now is Ash, and he made some seriously questionable decisions that set my hair trigger temper off. Ash needs money, so she goes through with the offer Winston makes her, and man I wanted to take him out for the things he made her do. K. Webster is an amazing author who can set me off with her heroes & end up making me love them LOL!.
Ruined/M. O'Keefe: It's the story of Poppy & Ronan, both have a dark past that keeps the demons along for the ride. I'm not sure how I feel about Poppy because sometimes she was just too naive? I don't know, but I was still cheering her on at the same time. Ronan is an enigma to me because I don't feel like there was enough about him other than the surface but it could just be me. I do know that I'm intrigued since I feel like there are holes that could be filled in when the next book comes out. Of course that cliffy ending has me even more intrigued so now I'm waiting impatiently to see where their story is going to end up.
Wicked Idol/Becker Gray: Iris Briggs puts out a good girl image without any sort of fire, however, she has it in spades; she's just a genius at hiding it from others. Keaton is a boy who hides his big heart well so no one knows he's not the jerk he appears to be. These two end up seeing past the walls though Keaton is still always trying to push her buttons, so they start going at lightning speed. I know that teenagers can be very impulsive when it comes to their feelings since I raised two of my own, but Wicked Idol just came off a bit too fast for me. I'm not saying that I'm not down with insta situations but there's insta & then there's these two so it didn't allow for me to imprint on them as their feelings developed into something.
I had some issues with a couple of the stories but it's more of a personal preference than anything so you should absolutely decide for yourselves by hitting those one click buttons since every book in this box set is highly addictive, and I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! {4.5 STARS}
This boxed set has a little something for everyone that loves their romance on the slightly darker side. First, in Stroke of Midnight, we get an age-gap relationship with a man that doesn't just want to dominate, but humiliate the younger woman that has captured his attention. Winston Constantine runs the empire his father built and seems cold and untouchable. Ash Elliott, fresh from high school and desperate for funds to pay for college, strikes a deal with Win, even knowing that doing so is going to destroy her. This story was a bit of a "plot, what plot" book for me—lots of steam but not much else. UNTIL the last couple of chapters. Ash is in trouble. For that matter, so is Winston Constantine. She's determined to save him, but at what cost to herself? Since the book ends on a major cliffhanger, I don't know yet...but I've already one-clicked the next book to find out!
Next up is Ruined, by M. O'Keefe. This book (which also ends on a cliffhanger as it's part of a trilogy about the couple) is my favorite of the boxed set. It's a story I've read before and it was no hardship to read it again. I love Ronan and Poppy and am completely invested in the level of chaos that is happening in the first book. The short and sweet of it is that she's survived an abusive marriage, only to find out she's somehow a pawn in the war between the Constantines and the Morellis. She doesn't know if she can trust Ronan, but she's undeniably drawn to him. The trilogy is so good!
Lastly, there's an angsty high-school romance—Wicked Idol, by author Becker Grey—between Keaton Constantine and Iris Briggs. He's a member of the Hellfire Club at the prep school where Iris' father just became headmaster. I started the story expecting a bully romance, but Keaton isn't really much of a bully. He says some cruel things, and does some pretty stupid stuff (par for the course for this type of character), but ultimately he's just a boy that is need of love. This one is a complete story and is part of a series so if this type story is your jam you'll find more books with the characters you come to know as you read about Keaton and Iris.
I was pleasantly surprised by how the characters and world of these books connected and plan to read more in each author's series.
I don't usually like doing the .5 rating system but I'm gonna have to here since it's a boxset. So...
Stroke of Midnight by K Webster - 5 stars:
Honestly absolutely loved Ash and Winston. That girl is one bad bitch and if you want a romance where the hero stays a hardass throughout the whole book, then Winston is your man! My heart was in my throat at one point for everything Ash has to endure. I love her attitude, her boldness, her quirks. She stood up to Winston, held her own and showed little to no shame or fear when doing so. And let me tell you, that man is crazy. I'm not sure if he has more money than sense... Either way, Stroke of Midnight was the best kickstarter to this trilogy and every single book in it is amazing. Highly recommend. Webster at her finest.
Ruined by M. O'Keefe - 3.5 stars:
Another great book but it didn't entirely do it for me. I'm not particularly sure why so I wouldn't call my rating or review the best to go off. I've never been particularly big into the Irish scene. The plot and storyline however was solid. No complaints there. And I liked the heroine enough. I just wasn't blown away and I dunno. Maybe the characters just didn't do it for me which is a shame. I'll definitely be trying this author again though at some point because I loved her creativity and writing style.
Wicked Idol by Becker Grey - 4 stars:
I'm fond of this author. Her Hellfire Club series looks promising. I enjoyed Wicked Idol. The pacing and writing style was great. The plot and storyline wasn't mind blowing and the hero, Keaton, turned a little too soft a little too fast for me which is a shame. It's an enemies to lovers featuring Iris, whom I adored and Keston Constantine. It's also the first book in the Hellfire Club series, I believe. I'm excited to read the rest of the characters stories in this series.
Billions is a box set featuring Stroke of Midnight, Ruined and Wicked Idol all of which are part of the Midnight Dynasty world featuring the Constantines' and the Morellis'. All in all, I'd definitely say this box set is worth investing in!
Stroke of Midnightis book one fromCinderellatrilogy by K. Webster. It is a dark, twisted and steamy AF retake on the fairytale classicCinderella.Through dual POVs, it tells the story of Winston Constantine and Ash Ember Elliot.
The completely new and unreal take that K. Webster did onCinderellawithStroke of Midnighthad me wide-eyed in shock and surprise. Hot Dayuum it was seriously a messed up, depraved and deeply twisted retelling with a whirlwind of a narrative that takes you on a crazy adventure. All of which revolves around a strong, tough, alpha a-hole who is our Villainous Anti-hero Prince not CharmingWinston with his insane, dirty and perverted tendencies. And a somewhat strong yet feisty and sassy heroine Ash, who is learning to push boundaries.

Iris and Keaton’s story led you on a journey that was filled with drama, suspense and some angst, while also giving you a heck of a lot of steam considering their blooming relationship. Whilst the narrative follows the ever growing relationship between Iris and Keaton. At the same time, there was more to the story too. A journey that wasn’t without any hurdles, mistakes and suffering, considering what both are currently experiencing in their personal lives. Seeing as there are a few twists and turns that occur throughout. Not only pushing Iris and Keaton to their limits, but testing them at the same time too. Ultimately leading them on a journey of self discovery alongside growth within themselves. And pushing through by going for what they truly want in life, by putting themselves first with fighting for it. Even if it meant disappointing others, like their families, given the expectations they have to endure from them.
