First, I was broke down alongside an icy road in the middle of nowhere, divorced, and homeless with two small children. Then four gorgeous men took me and my kids in. They gave me an incredible job, an over-the-top mansion, and...
A baby.
Have you ever seen four macho men make goo-goo sounds for a baby? Let alone a tough alpha Marine.
Chris joked about learning to write screenplays at our wedding, and my life with the Blakely Four Brothers is certainly turning into a sexy romcom.
Now it's time for us all to get the happily ever after that we deserve.
Been waiting and was so excited for this book, but man, what a disappointment. Per title, I was expecting a story full of hilarious antics of the men trying to adjust to being dads to a newborn. Nope. Baby is born in the last couple pages of book. It also really surprised me how short this book is. There’s no beginning, middle and end. No climax. It’s all disjointed. Jumps from random scene, back and forth. Almost like one long epilogue. I love this trilogy, but this final book is a real let down. Not just to fans, but to the characters.
My pet peeve still stands, however they did explain the their part that was confusing me earlier. You know what I'm talking about right? Trust me it wasn't a grammar issue, that's how they talk about taylen.
Anyway I'm happy with this series and I would totally suggest it to all of my friends and I'm happy with how it ended.
While this is book 3 in the series, this is really more like a HEA extended epilogue!
The story jumps to different timelines during Shels pregnancy. It starts at the Honeymoon which was 🥵🥵. Jumps to Allie and Liam practically getting everything they ever wanted and everything Shelby has ever dreamed of for them. The entire story shows how Shelby is just in awe and so in love with all of her guys.
Chris, Derek, Everette and Kaleb were all swoon worthy before. But now with their dream woman pregnant, they are 10x more the protective, over bearing expecting dads. (Chris more than anything)
When they are as prepared for the baby to come as they can be, fate has a way of laughing at you. When they can no longer get to the hospital due to Mother Nature, they are forced to have an at home birth that changes everything.
This ending was great! I loved this story so much for Shelby and her guys. It was definitely a fairytale story worth reading!
*Overall 5/5 *Heat? 4/5 *First person POV (all of them) *Novella - quick read *Fast Burn *HEA? Yes !!!!!! ♥️♥️♥️
Was gonna read it, but I felt like I was gonna be ripped off for $10 for what should have been the last 1/4 of the last book…. I bummed bc I wanted to find out the last bit in my favorite medium (Audible), but not sure if I care enough to read (kindle).
I think this might be my ultimate criteria moving forward on continuing series’.
Edit: dang it! I was right. It wasn’t terrible but not sure if it was worth the read, tbh.
Way to short, it was just starting to get into the plot when it abruptly stopped. Also not a huge fan of the time jumps. I think it would have been better if the story started where it ended and really showed life with a newborn.
I quick read revisiting these characters during their honeymoon, pregnancy and pony buying. It was nice. Bringing the families together for the holidays made it nicer. Add the world famous photographer for holiday portrait was a nice ending.
I so enjoyed the RH... I fell in love these with heroes... I mean wow! Well this is the end of this trilogy and I think maybe one day I would re-read this book trilogy again. So bye for now!😘
This honestly reads like an extended epilogue, skipping through some milestones in their relationship. It was cute, like this whole series has been, and mostly it was just fun to revisit the characters.
This was very short book and I read it in one night. I’m glad everything is okay but all that build up about Chris being bad and then nothing happened is good but I’m not sure why the build up.
Unfortunately it seems that in this series each books gets worse. First book started out okay but this story was dragged out longer than it should be and in each book we constantly had to deal with the back and forth of the FMC “not understanding how this can be her life now”. I’m also really disappointed that the baby was only born in the last 2 chapters of the third book in the series considering this whole plot is written around the pregnancy and birth of the harems first baby.
Shelby's full HEA is here! The book starts out on their honeymoon, so the heat level is high. New group dynamics are tried out, and as usual everyone works around building her up. There's not really much in the way of a baby; she's a very late dition to the story. There's a lot of leaps of time passing in this one to finish out the pregnancy, but it still flowed really well. No one is forgotten and all side characters made an appearance at some point. You can tell the author has had children, because the pregnancy and birthing scenes in this are freaking on point. (It is a pet peeve of mine when I read someone giving birth and you can just tell the person who wrote it has never tried to eject a baby from their body. You really can tell). It was little details, but it just made for a richer and more believable story. I was sucked in and cringing alongside Shelby and her guys. It was a lovely end to the series.
When I saw that this was a pen name for Joely Sue Burkhart, I knew I had to immediately read it. Plus, it was a single mom romance which I’m loving now. This trilogy gets a 4-star review from me which I will explain why now.
I loved the single mom aspect of this series and loved how the guy’s rescued Shelby and her kids from rock bottom. It was romantic and sweet and brought butterflies to my stomach. The guys were all swoon worthy, and each had qualities that I liked.
Now this is a RH romance, but it did not really feel like it. While Shelby had four guys, I only felt a real connection between her and only one of the guy’s Chris. The other guys just happened to be there, to make sure Chris did not hurt Shelby as he was a war vet with PTSD. Her and Chris had lots of alone time and their relationship had depth that the others were lacking.
Now the single mom aspect. It was good but I found it odd that only two of the guys truly accepted the kids. Chris and Ev just seemed to tolerate them because they came with Shelby. It was just strange to me, and I feel like if they truly loved her, they would love her children and express it to them. Sure, the children did not go without, but I just think that all four could have been dads to the children than just two of them. I mean when Shelby gets pregnant, which is not a spoiler as it is in the title, they all agree to be the dad and have the child call them dad but for the other two they had to choose only one person to call dad. I just find it strange and I kind of felt bad for the children.
I am glad that I picked up this trilogy because I got to experience the beautiful words of Sharan Daire. She writes words from the soul, and they just hit you right in the heart. They make you believe that love truly exists. Honestly, the beautiful words of Sharan Daire saved this book to me as the romance between the characters fell flat.
This series had promise. I thought it was going to be a nice, easy, single mum RH. First, I get the feeling that this wasn't intended as a series really, everything sort of wrapped up in the first book.
I don't think this was a very balanced series, I don't tend to like a primary partner in my RH unless he series also has MM (more I can understand the fmc having a primary partner if other members of the harem already had/have partners)
Chris was obviously the main partner, he was the legal husband, which I was hoping would make no difference, but it was mentioned by Shelby, he was the bio dad of the new baby, and the only one that was guaranteed a place in Shelbys bed at the end of the night. I felt bad for the other guys, honestly. They had signed up for this Poly stuff because Chris needed them to babysit him, but when he didn't need that, they got sidelined.
This series would have been massively improved by Shelby having one on one time with each of the guys, time for intimacy and bonding. Everything was either group or Chris. We were told the things she liked about each character but never really got to see it.
Read first and second book, dnf'd the last

I think I expected something different from this and thats why its not a higher rating. From the title and the mention of the film (3 men and a baby) in the previous book, I thought this story was going to be along the same lines. More comedy of 4 men trying to figure out fatherhood together, but the delivery was literally in the last few pages of the book... so we didn't even get to see them with the baby. Which was majorly disappointing. I was also looking forward to seeing submissive Kaleb and getting some hot Domme Shelby scenes but that was a flop too. He didn't even get laid! Poor guy giving out multiple O's and he got fuck all in return. To say I was MAD.
But anyway, this book was more of Chris throwing money around and everyone getting what they want. No drama, no angst, no real plot. Just goes to show that even thought the author wrote one of your favourite series (Their vampire queen is amazing) doesn't mean you will like ALL of their works. Don't get me wrong, I love all the men and would nab them in a heartbeat if I could, but I was expecting more from the story
This was definitely more of just a novella after the last two. If someone didn’t read this one they would’ve still gotten the HEA in the last two books. Which I had no problems with.
Anyways, it was short and sweet, but I found myself getting annoyed with what seemed like Shelby’s favoritism towards Chris. This could just be because I appreciate RH’s where the woman doesn’t have a clear favorite, but just because she legally married him and was carrying his baby she seemed to just consider him more for things. Even the other 3 guys weren’t secure with their relationship with Shelby even after they were all married. Having the other 3 sleep in a different cabana than Chris and Shelby on all of their’s honeymoon was weird to me. At that point in their relationship there shouldn’t be doubts on being a 5th wheel like one of the guys said he felt like while on their honeymoon.
Overall was a cute story, though, just some rough RH inconsistencies that irked me!

What’s the point of an RH if the fmc treats one lover more special compared to her others? If you were gonna have your fmc have a fav you shouldn’t have made it rh. Also funny how the actual husband is the rich guy(gold digger much). First book was good but last two disappointing.
I was so happy when this author came out with this contemporary series, it helped me through a tough time in my life, it was the happy/fluffy story I needed to get out of my own head (I had lost a friend and coworker). I fell for these characters and was so happy she gave us this epilogue of sorts for their happy ending. In Four Men and a Baby we get to see the group on their honeymoon and then coming up leading up to the birth of the baby. The sexy times were done well in terms of timing, adding some fun stuff (I was happy to see Caleb get his wish he hinted at earlier in the series haha). I appreciated adding more to this family, all the side characters and new people living/working at the lodge and surrounding facilities. It truly felt like the author was adding to this amazing family. I think the only reason I didnt get it a 5 was because there wasn't a much story/plot for me (the honeymoon part was a tad slow for me, it picked up once they got home). But I still loved it, was a fun listen that made me smile while hopefully finishing my battle with pneumonia. Helped take my mind of coughing for a couple hours :)
Narration from these 2 was great again, you could fill the emotion, especially with the baby's birth!! I wish it was a duet narration because these narrators did a great job at their respective voices. The kids were again done perfectly and even the adorable grandma was performed so well. I definitely have these narrators on my watch list (in a good way hehe). FYI. I did feel like they were slower than they were previously, listened at 1.6X speed instead of my usually 1.4-1.5X speed.
Wow, I'm completely baffled. I read on to see if the other guys would get more parts but nope, it continued to focus only Chris. Not only did he become Shelby's legal husband but he was the only guy that she showed concerns and worries for. She referred to him as her husband and other than one small brief moment with Derek, she only showed affection for Chris. Chris was the only one she constantly said the L word to. She even mentioned how she yearned to have alone time with him.
There was even a moment where she was having s** with other guys but she could only think about poor Chris watching on the side. Chris received the most yet the other guys had to constantly remind him that he was deserving of Shelby.
Chris for some reason always had to be around and have full control. He continously showered Shelby and her kids with money. He never gave any of the guys a chance to do anything special for her.
The author should've just made this a MF book because it was only about Shelby and Chris and their love for each other. I'm pissed because I felt like Derek and Kaleb were used to just be nannies for her children and Everett was used to just do the attorney work and be the water boy while Shelby and Chris had their romantic moments together.
Of course there was never any closure for Kaleb. And Shelby never had any bonding or more intimate moments with the rest of the men. This was such a letdown.
Me being a serious fangirl of this authors other writing (under the other name) , might just taint how I feel about this series. I liked it, it was a good story with good characters. Hot, steamy greatness. But I found myself getting annoyed with Shelby because I wanted her to be stronger. But her journey was believable and made sense, so clearly I'm expecting her to be some one else(a certain queen) maybe. I also had strong feelings about the amount of screen time her guys got, some way more than others. And how issues were referenced( like the sleeping issues with her being alone with chris) and then never resolved or spoken of again on screen. Minor complaints all in all.
After the second book, I was really hoping to get a third book. Which focus more on the pregnancy and the baby finally coming. And you know what they say ask and you shall receive. And I just need to say that the scene with the lingerie shoot made my freaking day. I love how she used her word. How there was no push, No pull, just acceptance. I don't think I've ever read a book or a female was given the option of a SafeWord, and then used the SafeWord and was respected no questions, nothing,No pressure. No, eventually changing your mind. She said she felt completely safe to do it, to use her SafeWord. That part in this book literally means everything to me. I really enjoyed series.
This is the last book in Shelby's series, according to the author's note at the very end of this contemporary fairy tale. I thought the second book was the epilogue, but this little book is the finale. Really. We mean it this time. It's still a super sweet, almost instant love, contemporary, spicy and steamy, reverse harem romance.
Like the previous books, this is a warm and fuzzy hug. I enjoyed seeing even more of Cinder-Shelby's relationship, the extended families, the modeling, and the kids. This group/family has a couple of low-key adventures and just a dash of drama, with a large helping of mushy love stuff.
First, they rescued her and her children. Then they gave her safety, a job, and love. Now they are giving her happily ever after.
I am embarrassed to admit, I didn't look close enough to realize this was the third book in a series, so I jumped in right in the middle. I'm sure it would have been even better with their history but this was still an entertaining story. It's a cute escape. It's the fairytale I dreamed of as a teenage girl x 4. Love, security, sex, and wealth. Four men to spoil you and your children, who could want more? I loved the adoration the men showed Shelby and her children. Now I'm going back for book one!
I enjoyed this series with 4 amazing men supporting a Mom and her two wonderful children. Sharan Daire has written a story with heart and soul that you want to know what happens to this beautiful family. Sharan is an excellent writer with a fun writing style that you fall in love love with the characters. Thank you Sharan and I look forward to reading more of your stories. If I had one wish, I’d wish to read what happens in the future with the Anderson Harris Blakely family. How many more children, does Shelby continue,to model, does Eleanor find love of her own and TayTay does she find her passion?
Shelby’s a lucky woman! ❤️ - Audiobook Review 🎧 I listened to this book without listening to the previous books, but I think I will now need to go back to listen to the other books just to learn a little more about everyone. I really did enjoy this book and all of the characters. It was sexy and the guys were so sweet and loving that you couldn’t help but fall in love with all of them. Shelby is living every woman’s dream! Narration was great and the voices were good for the different characters, especially Jack’s voice for the alpha men! #AudiobookObsession #TheFlock
This contemporary reverse harem is under the pen name of one of my favorite one click authors. The stories should be read in order to be enjoyed for the delicious treats they are. Throughout the series there are some darker notes but there is a happily ever after, so just make sure to respect your limits, and maybe have a friend read first who knows you well enough to screen for you.
This was cute. I was happy to get to read about Shel and the guys. I loved the ponies and all of the special moments with the characters. I did enjoyed the story, but didn’t necessarily like the time jumping I got a little lost a few times. I also was kind of expecting to get to see the guys with a newborn. Regardless, fangirl over here. Will he reading the next series set to start coming out next winter.
Written in first person POV (from all 5 MCs). Decent amount of sexy times (no M/M). Could have been shorter if some of the “broke waitress” repetition was removed. Honestly, this book should have just been folded into book 2 as Shelby is pregnant the whole book and we don’t get to see the guys with a new baby until the last page. Last book in series with Shelby as book 4 will have new MCs.
