Out of Reach #2

Beyond the Game

Rate this book
Paisley

One minute I’m sitting at the ballpark chatting with a handsome stranger, the next his lips are on mine and sparks are flying, while the whole world watches us reach first base on the kiss cam.

As the daughter of a former professional baseball player, I know all too well what it’s like living in front of the lens. Which is why I chose a career behind the scenes and away from the spotlight—that included my love life.

Post-kiss, I never expected to see Cameron Taylor again and certainly not playing for my team. I might want him more than my next breath, but I’m not willing to jeopardize either of our careers to make it to second base.

Cameron

A rare day of relaxing at the ballpark turns out to be so much more. I can’t take my eyes off the gorgeous brunette sitting next to me. The only thing hotter than her perfect pink lips is listening to her talk baseball.

Life throws me a curve ball when I get called up to the majors and Paisley Monroe is introduced to me as the team trainer. She’s unlike anyone I’ve ever met—beautiful, passionate, driven, and off-limits.

When the media goes into a frenzy over our relationship, the rules change. But the love I have for Paisley goes beyond my love of the game, I don’t need the kiss cam to tell the world that she’s mine. I can do that all on my own.

I barely know how to feel about this book because I loved the first 70% it was 4-5 stars for sure.

I was even confused at 70%- like everything seem wrapped up and they were happily together, I was confused how there was 30% more of the book left. Maybe I should have stopped reading there

Because at the 80% mark was the single worst most stupid third act miscommunication break up I have ever read. Spoilers but it combined the "overhearing someone and completely jumping to conclusions and misinterpreting what they are saying" trope (which is already the worst on its own) but imagine combining that with the "I'm in love with you but breaking up with you for your own good" trope which is also the worst. Two of the worst combined. This was literally the worst third act break up I've ever read. Whenever people talk about stupid third act break ups I will talk about this book.

I don't even know how to rate it, I loved it up until the 80% mark. I guess I'll go with three. I would not recommend this book to anyone else, unless you read up to like 75% then stop lol

And once again Kaylee Ryan hits this one out of the park! Kaylee doesn’t know how to write a bad story.

Paisley is all grown up and so excited to start her job as The Blaze’s new athletic trainer, what she wasn’t expecting was to have a moment with a stranger to turn her life upside down.

Cameron has waited and worked his whole life for a chance at the majors, but is he willing to let it all go after a kiss cam moment in time?

When I say ALL the feels I am not kidding! Kaylee writes with so much heart and gives her characters so much life they absolutely refuse to stay on the page. They demand your attention and you are happy to give it to them.

Read this book, it’s just that good.

What starts off as a chance meeting at a baseball game turns into so much more when Paisley instantly feels and attraction to Cameron. But with Cam newly brought up to play in the major leagues was the timing based on who her father is? Or is Cam the real deal and falling for Paisley more important than his career? With characters the reader instantly falls in love with and a storyline that will tug on your heartstrings this was a fabulous read. I did not think that Kaylee Ryan could out shine Beyond the Bases but she absolutely knocked it out of the park. Outstanding from beginning to end.

Beyond the Game is a total HOME RUN! Kaylee Ryan charms in this feel-good, super-swoony heartfelt romance. All the giddy butterflies for this adorable couple and a triumphant return to a world that I am madly in love with years ago. I can already tell that the Out of Reach series is going to be a new favorite. Just dreamy!

From the very first meet cute at a Blaze game (cause where else?!), I fell madly in love with Paisley and Cameron. I mean a kiss cam meet cute?! Adorable. They have the most authentic chemistry- sweet, with the perfect dash of witty banter and flirtation. Fate takes the course of their relationship into its hands-as we find Cameron the new first baseman in the major leagues for the very team that Paisley’s father played for, and the team that she works for as a trainer. Work and romance? Uhm yummy. But fortunately everything in that department is relatively low drama- everyone is on board with their pairing, and these two find their paths crossing yet again, and so begins a swoony, sexy, and endearing relationship- the kind that Kaylee Ryan excels at writing.

Cameron is just such a charmer. Like where do I order one?! He’s so swoony. He immediately falls hard for the reluctant, but relatable Paisley. He patiently woos her, lets her set the pace, and shows up for her in the kindest ways. He’s just a perfect book boyfriend- sexy and sweet. His big gestures are pitch perfect. And I ADORED Paisley. She’s the kind of heroine you want to be best friends in - driven, loving, sincere, and a bit sassy. I loved watching her figure out her path and confidence, and it was such a treat to reconnect with her parents, whose story I fell in love with years ago. It was so fun to see Paisley all grown up- and to get to know her sisters better.

I’m so excited Kaylee decided to continue this series with some second generation stories for the Out of Reach series- I can’t wait for the rest of the sisters, and to keep checking in on this delightful bunch!

I absolutely adored this book. From the first meeting of Paisley and Cameron, to the kiss cam and everything that followed. It was love at first sight.

Paisley grew up around baseball. She loves everything about the game. Cameron loves the game. He has worked hard to get where he is and now his dream is becoming a reality, but he can’t seem to forget about the woman he met and shared the best kiss of his life with.

Cameron. How can you not instantly fall in love with the man?! He is sweet, caring, protective, swoony and truly perfect. He was drawn to Paisley the second they met and wasn’t about to just give up on her. Paisley is hardworking, sweet and passionate. I absolutely adored her. Plus, it is fun seeing her all grown up and living her life.

The chemistry between Cameron and Paisley is instant and so beautiful. I love the focus on their relationship and their connection, and not just the physical connection between them. Their relationship was the perfect pace for them, because when you know you know, and it just felt natural. Plus, Cameron standing up to Easton…I LOVED IT!

If you’re looking for an insta love, workplace, sports romance this is one to read!

I think I have been on pins and needles waiting for Paisley Gray's book since the minute I finished Beyond the Bases. And I was so happy we finally got her book!
This one follows the Kaylee Ryan formula down to the letter. Instalove, lots of swoon factor, a hero who worships his girl, oh and did I say lots of swoon factor? I don't call this girl the Queen of Swoon for nothing!
I think Cameron Taylor might be the most amazing hero I've read of Kaylee's to date.
But while I was reading the book, I felt like there was just a little bit missing. That's not to say that I didn't love it, because I absolutely did; but in certain areas it was just a little flat. But other than that, it was another sweet and sexy story, from the queen!

I actually loved this book more than Beyond the Bases; Paisley and Cameron had me hooked from the first chapter. We are getting Princess P, all grown up! She is her own woman and her mother's daughter.

Cameron is working on making it to the Major League, the big team, and making it stick. Although he plays first base and has an obstacle there, he continues to work hard towards his goals. Meeting Paisley at a game, and the instant chemistry, but no information is exchanged. Will the timing be right? Will their paths cross again? I loved the family aspect. We get to see how the characters from the first book are in the current stages of their lives.

Thank you to the author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

I loved book one but I think book two is even better. The story is well written and sweet with just the right amount of passion and action. Cameron and Paisley had me intrigued right from the very beginning. They were easy to relate to, and I felt as though I could connect easily with them. The characters were so enthralling and the story just drew me in and made me want to be there. Definitely recommend this book!

Book 1 in this series was cute (almost too cute). It was sweet in the extreme. But when I saw who the characters in this story were (specifically the FMC) - I'll admit, I was dubious.

I've never seen an interconnected series quite like this one, where the first book is the parents, and the subsequent books follow their children.

Knowing the sort of story I was in for, I thought I had my expectations thoroughly managed. This was just as syrupy sweet as book one. BUT. There are things about this story that rankled more than book 1 did.

1. This is practically the exact same story as book 1.

The MMCs are nearly identical in personality - and they're being narrated by the same dude. You could drop them into either book and the plot wouldn't change at all because they are LITERALLY the exact same person.

They see the woman they want, and there's never any looking back for them. They pursue until the woman basically just gets tired of saying no, they go on cute dates, they treat her like an absolute queen while navigating tricky family situations like a pro. They end with a wedding and pregnancy announcement.

I enjoyed Easton and Larissa's story, even though it had its problems. But when I'm picking up books in the same series back to back, I expect that the characters won't be carbon copies of each other. Why should I expect to, or even want to, read the same story about the same people over and over and over again?

Even the spice is similar. While it's more intense - and more descriptive than in book 1... the same conversations happen between the couples. Which is JARRING given that the book 1 couple are the PARENTS of book 2's FMC.

As an example, after they finish, the FMC asks the MMC when they can do it again. And the MMC chuckles and admits he needs some recovery time. This EXACT interaction happened in both books. Could we think of NOTHING else for them to say to each other after that? Really?

It's not any better on Paisley's part, either. She says, over and over and over again that it's too soon and that she thought they were just friends...when this man is clearly telling her in words and actions, every single time they're in the same room, that he wants more from her. She does the exact same thing her mother did in book 1 - this weird, wishy-washy I like him I want him, no I can't have him blah blah.

But the big difference is that we already KNOW Paisley's personality. We got to know her as a four year old child in Larissa and Easton's book. And we KNOW that she's the sort to not hold back from whatever she wants. The way she latched on to East and never looked back suddenly doesn't fit in with this hesitant flakey woman we're meeting as an adult. Why did this change? What happened to turn her into a carbon copy of her mother?

And she makes a few wild statements about "having never been a part of a "when you know you know" moment...Girl. Shut up. I read book 1. I saw how you practically pissed all over Easton's leg marking him as yours long before your mom accepted that fact. You know EXACTLY what it's like for a man to find a woman and just immediately know she's it for him - because it happened to your fucking parents. 😒🙄

The further I got into this story, the more frustrated I became that I was reading about the daughter of the first couple in the series because the way she acts doesn't at all gel with the little girl we got to know in the previous book.

2. The phrase "and we both know it" began to get on my last nerve. I'm lying, and we both know it. It's true, and we both know it. 🙄😒Two or three times is fine. Two or three times ON THE SAME PAGE is not.

3.The "drama" that happens 80% of the way through the story is super lame and makes no sense. After spending ALL THIS TIME making these declarations of love to each other, of claiming that this is it for each of them, of talking marriage and babies and growing old and gray together, one little hiccup and Paisley IMMEDIATELY jumps to "I have to break up with him."

Get the fuck out of here. If that is your immediate response to someone you're stupid in love with encountering a bump in the road, you don't really care about them or your relationship AT ALL.

If you love someone, it means you're willing to grit your teeth and wade into the shit storm with them. It means that NO MATTER WHAT the two of you are each other's anchor, your safe harbor in the dark. You don't push them away - which really only ever adds insult to injury, let's face it - and martyr your relationship instead of communicating with them and deciding to stand strong and work through it together.

EVERY SINGLE TIME this is written into a story it completely destroys whatever relationship is built up to that point for me. It tells me that the one making the unilateral decision to end things isn't ready for a real long-term relationship. It tells me they don't actually care about the person they claim to love above all else. Because they're not willing to fight for it. At the very first stirrings of trouble, they choose to abandon ship.

Paisley overhears her father and uncle discussing some drama and assumes that they're referring to her and Cameron. She hears that they're going to trade him away to another team and she believes that because they're together no other team is going to want him BECAUSE apparently their relationship is drama...even though it hasn't been AT ALL up to this point in the story. Moreover she doesn't want him traded because his mother lives in Tennessee and she doesn't want him to have to move so far away from his support system. And, when he tells her it doesn't matter if he's traded, they can do long distance until they figure it out, she says that she can't do a long distance relationship because she'll miss him too much.

Girl what.

This is made even stupider, considering that at the very end of the story, Paisley states that she's quitting her job to say home with their children. So, essentially, she broke up with Cameron because she couldn't be away from him - but she's totally fine quitting her job traveling with the team which essentially means they're going to be spending long periods apart anyway, and she's somehow just fine with that???????? Make it make sense.

3.5 And Cameron's reaction to being broken up with was 1. totally outside his character and 2. full of red flags. He shouts at her, curses at her then punches a wall. 😬😬

4. This story starts out with a strong and independent Paisley who wants nothing more than to prove to her employer and 'uncle' and everybody else that she's not a nepo baby - given a job with the Blaze because of who her father is.

She puts Cameron off repeatedly because even though NOBODY ELSE sees the conflict of interest (so long as it doesn't cause drama) SHE sees it as one, because it's just another connection she doesn't need because it just looks even worse that not only is she handed a very important job fresh out of college by her uncle on her father's old MLB team, she's now dating one of the players.

It's understandable that she'd want to prove herself first - this is a pretty common plot in these sports series (there's usually always one book where the conflict of interest issue comes up).

Obviously that crumbles fairly quickly - it has to, or the romance wouldn't go anywhere, right?

My problem is the way this book ends.

Paisley gives up her job to be a stay at home mom to their unborn kid.

And listen, I know a lot of women choose this route. I'm not so progressive that I think this is in any way bad - but it still feels a little gross considering she spends SO MUCH TIME in the front of this book talking about how important her job is and how it's her dream and how she feels like she needs to prove that she's cut out for it and isn't just a nepo hire. Only to, in the end, turn around and go "welp, my dream changed. I'm gonna be domestic now."

Look, women who are career driven don't just turn that off when they get pregnant. Fundamentally, pregnancy doesn't just obliterate every other aspect of your life. It's weird to have a female character abandon EVERYTHING she's worked for to stay at home, after fighting so hard for it for so long.

What was wrong with her continuing to work while pregnant and after taking maternity leave? She acts like the baby wouldn't have a whole flock of family that would love and adore it while she's at her job. What is the messaging here, that women can't work and have a career while ALSO being mothers? It was a wild take, even when this was published - but certainly in 2025, when I'm reading this.

--

Over all this was cute, and I enjoyed most of it. But with it being so similar to book 1, and then with the unnecessary drama that happens 80% of the way through, I'm just sort of meh about the whole thing. I don't feel compelled to read any more of this series, because I already know what sorts of stories I'm going to get. These too-perfect men being all in touch with their emotions and willing to give up everything they've dreamed of and worked for if it means keeping the girl.

It's a good story...once. More than that and I'm just bored. I'm giving this 3 stars because as stories go, it's fine. I'd suggest reading it independently from book 1, though. Back-to-back reading was not the best idea.

Kaylee Ryan just keeps hitting out of the park (pun very much indented!!!)

It was so weird seeing Princess P all grown up and meeting the love of her life while in the stands of a baseball field, the other love of her life. Their meet-cute was adorable and so endearing. Cameron and Paisley had that instant connection and their kiss cam moment was all sparks and fireworks. Their connection was soul deep and watching them navigate their relationship and their professional dreams coming true was so heart-warming.

Beyond the Game was full of heart without all the unnecessary drama that usually follows sports romances, their chemistry was off the charts and dear lord, Cameron rivalled even Easton in the swoonworthy department. From the beginning I was waiting their standoff and WAY TO GO Cameron, you stood up to the great Easton Monroe. Kudos kid.

I simply could not stop reading their story and I'm ready for Parker's story. Bring it on Easton Monroe, you have 2 more daughters left. I'm sure Peyton will get the brunt of it lol. CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Just when I go and think I’ve read the best by Ms. Ryan I finish this one. OMG Paisley and Cameron. Just WOW!! I devoured this book. I haven’t been reading much these days so it was so nice to fall so into a book! (To the point where I neglected Christmas movies tonight…. Kaylee, thought you’d appreciate that, haha). Anyways, I fell fast and I fell hard. About as fast as Cameron and Paisley fell for each other. And Cameron? I claim him. But honestly I think every woman who reads this book will claim him. And I have to say, this is one of my top reads of 2021 and just guys one clicking asap!!

I am enjoying the heck out of this new series by Kaylee Ryan. The first book was a homerun and this one was a trip to the World Series! And there's two more books in this baseball-related series coming in 2022. Lots of laughs, family and love! A big hit and I'm excited for the release of the next sister's book.

Enjoyable, he falls first, and he falls hard. Her dad's a formal baseball player... The male MC is a professional baseball player. Paisley and Cameron were swoony and sweet in this short sports romance. Cute book, but not much substance until the end.

They’re at a Tennessee Blaze game, when sparks fly…with a sizzling kiss on the jumbotron.
“Hey. Can I see you again?”
“Do you believe in fate, Cameron?”
“Never really thought about it,” I admit.
“Not many do.”
“Do you believe in fate, Paisley?”
“Not so much, but Willow here, she’s a firm believer that everything happens for a reason.”
“Okay?”
“If we meet again, it was meant to be.” She shocks the hell out of me when she goes up on her tiptoes and presses a kiss on my cheek. “Thanks again,” she says before rushing up the steps.
Like the fool that I am, I stand here and watch her go. By the time I realize I’m letting her just walk away from me without a last name or even her phone number, I jump into action and sprint up the steps, stepping around everyone who happens to be in my way. I reach the top, and my eyes skim everywhere, but there is no sign of her.

“You never should have let her walk away,” a gravelly voice says from behind me. It’s the old man she was talking to.
“Do you know her last name?” I ask.
“I do.”
“What do I need to do to get that information from you?”
“Nothing. I’m not giving it to you. If she wanted you to have it, she would have told you.”
“Come on. I’m one of the good guys, I promise.” I say the words and realize I sound like a creeper.
The old man chuckles and runs his hands over his graying beard. “I’m sure you are, but I’ve watched that girl grow up. She’s no relation, but she feels like family. So, I’m sorry to say I can’t help you. I heard her mention something about fate. All you can do, son, is hope and pray that fate is on your side and you see her again.”

With that sage advice, he’s left standing in the stadium mentally kicking himself for letting her go—the best kiss of his entire life. The best day he’s had with a woman to date, and I just let her go. What if she was my future wife? Pissed at myself, I make my way out to the parking lot. Every woman I pass with a ball cap and Blaze tank gets an extra careful look as I hope to find her in the sea of people.
It turns out luck isn’t on my side.

Facing her father an esteemed, distinguished athlete, is another matter. After her interrogation, she gets a seal of approval from her close-knit family.
“So, who’s the guy?”
“I don’t know him,” I tell him honestly. “He was sitting next to our seats. His name is Cameron. He plays for the Outlaws.”
“Do you make it a habit of kissing strangers like that?”
“Like what?” I ask, feigning innocence when we both know that it’s complete bullshit.
“Like he’s your air.”
“I wasn’t,” I defend.
“Paisley, I’ve watched that replay more times than I care to admit. I know what I saw.”
“You may need to have your eyesight checked, old man,” I tease in an attempt to lighten the mood.
“Who are you calling old man?” He chuckles.
“I mean, if the shoe fits,” I taunt.
He brings me back to his chest, and his lips once again press against the top of my head. “I love you, Paisley. If anything were to ever happen to you, I don’t know what I would do with myself. I just want you safe.”
“I know that. I’m a big girl, and regardless of what you might think, I don’t just randomly hook up with strangers. The kiss with Cameron was for the kiss cam. Yes, maybe we let it get a little out of hand, but I promise you it was an isolated event.” I pause, collecting my thoughts. “You’ve set the bar high, Dad. I’ve watched you love Mom, Parker, Peyton, and me, and I won’t settle for a man who won’t love me the same way.”
“There’s my girl,” he says approvingly. “Now, we better get in there before your mom comes out and yells at us for missing dinner.”
Together, we stand from the swing. Dad tugs me into a tight hug. “I love you, princess.”
“I love you too, Daddy.”

This book was diabetes inducing sweet and at times, Cameron was intense and overbearing. An enjoyable story.

Kaylee Ryan has scored a home run with Beyond the Game !!!!
Paisley and Cameron meet a baseball game, two strangers sitting next to each other, chatting about the game when the kiss cam lands on them and what follows is an entertaining, romantic journey that will appeal to a wide range of audiences.
Paisley and Cameron hit it off from the moment they found themselves sitting next to each other but at the end of the game they walked away without exchanging numbers. Fate seems determined to push these two together by first sitting them together, then the kiss cam and now they find out that he us the new first baseman on the same baseball team she works for as a trainer. But will working together make this couple stronger or will us pull them apart…..
I loved everything about this read, I fell hard and fast for Cameron, I adored Paisley but it was the family and friends who shared some magical as well as emotional moments that took this book to another level. Beyond the Game ticked all my boxes and I’m excited for what’s to come next in this series.

***ARC Provided by the Author***

This title started off really strong with the connection between Paisley and Cameron. I was engaged from their initial meeting and was really interested to see where the story would go. I liked the idea of them meeting one another and being attracted to one another without knowing who each of them were.

However, in the middle somewhere, this one sort of lost me. I was still enjoying it, but the delay in moving their relationship to the next level stopped feeling like a real connection and more like a plot device to try to balance the initial attraction so the book worked all the way through. For me, unfortunately, the end of this one didn't have the emotional punch and attraction that the book started with. It wasn't bad, I just definitely felt less engaged with this couple at the end of the title than I did at the beginning.

I did enjoy this title overall and do recommend it.

Cameron meets Paisley at a baseball game. Unbeknownst to him he didn’t know who her dad let alone who she was until after they were on the kiss cam at the game and the game was over. Paisley is always weary of those that take an interest in her because she was never sure if it was because of her dad or her uncle. She wanted to leave it up to date. Well fate stepped in when Cameron gets traded up from the minors to the majors. They both so happen to end up being employed by the same team, her a trainer and him the first baseman. They not only get a happy ending up they’re each other’s one true soul mate can’t live without each other’s love.

I absolutely loved this book! Paisley and Cameron were everything I never knew I needed.

Seriously these two, I couldn't put their story down. I was just so in love with them and so invested in their story. I loved Paisley and Cameron. Though there for a few times when Paisley got on my nerves because she tried to push him away (especially that assumption she made - that made me want to throw my kindle). But Cameron is the determined and patient guy he is, wouldn’t let her. That just made me love him even more. He's a perfect swoony book boyfriend. What they have is a beautiful thing.

This is a great, sweet romance from Kaylee that you need to get to reading.

Oh my heart is bursting, this is absolutely 100% the most perfect true romance story!

I am so very much at a loss for words, Kaylee has always, I mean always been amazing, but Cam and Paisley have stolen my heart.

The only thing you need to know, is that it needs to be read! The emotional, physical, sexual connection with these characters is off the charts. They are truly what a love story is, thank you so much for bringing back a Monroe! Y’all, this is so, so, so freaking amazing! Congratulations to you Ms. Kaylee, you have done it again, ten fold! ❤️

Kaylee Ryan hit it out of the park with this amazing story. Paisley and Cameron are characters I just instantly fell in love with and found myself rooting for. A chance meeting and an upcoming superstar career make for some drama with this story and will have you turning those pages. I couldn’t get enough of this story and found myself lost in these characters. Absolutely recommend if you love a great sports romance. You cannot go wrong with this author. ~Helen

"Little Paisley is all grown up and has found her own swoon worthy H. I didn’t think Kaylee could ever top Easton for book boyfriend magnificence, but she surely has with Cameron. I liked how he was all in with Paisley right from the beginning. She was maybe a few steps behind, but what was happening between them even she couldn’t deny.
The only thing that has made me happy after reaching the ending of this book is now knowing that Parkers book is up next. Hopefully there won’t be quite so long a wait between books. Yes I’m talking to you Kaylee!! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book." ~Sharon

"I am completely in love with Cameron and Paisley, from the kiss cam to their heartwarming story that follows, it was such a joy to read.

Paisley, love her name by the way, has grown up around baseball, she absolutely loves the game. Cameron, sweet and sexy, has worked very hard to get where he is, and his lifelong dream might just come true. Their chemistry and his determination to make Paisley see they could have to best life together will make you swoon for Cameron and want to shake some sense into Paisley, she just needed to take the leap. And, the fact he stood up to Easton, made me love him even more.

I love sports romances, and with baseball being my favorite sport, these two were so easy to relate to and with. Also, you can never go wrong with a Kaylee Ryan book!

I know I’ve said this countless times but I am about to say it again, every dang thing Ryan releases, I become even more Aw struck with her words. Her talent amazes me in ways that words couldn’t do justice. She is constantly upping her game in the writing world, and that makes all the difference because she NEVER goes stale.

Now don’t get me wrong, I loved Easton’s book (Beyond The Bases) the first in this series, I loved him and his actual character, but y’all CAMERON, CAMERON has my heart. No kidding, from the very first glance of him I knew he was going to blow my mind, and blow my mind he did. He’s tender in ways that make him, him, and Paisley all grown up? My heart melted. It was amazing to see the impact that Easton had on her adult life, and how she’s grown up into this wonderful woman that is all her own.

When I say Beyond The Game has everything, I mean EVERYTHING! Cameron and Paisley’s story has this adorable meet cute that had my heart fluttering. It’s has the sweet with a tad of alphaness/sassyness that had me swooning in my seat. It has the amazing witty dialogue that just my heart feeling lighter. It had the family/friendly feeling, that made me feel not so alone. It had the heat that felt realistic in ways that most authors can’t accomplish, and that comes from feeling the connection between Cameron and Paisley. I was literally enraptured through the whole book, and when that title was woven in the storyline, not gonna lie I got a little teary eyed. I will ALWAYS be a fan favorite of this author doing that.

Now, I guess I have to show some patience for the next book in this series even though I would prefer to roll and the floor and throw a tantrum. Lol

* I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK

I feel like I'm always repeating myself when it comes to Kaylee Ryan, but her romances are the sweetest! Beyond the Game was such a great sports romance with an instant attraction that slowly and beautifully built between Paisley and Cameron.

"𝑩𝒂𝒔𝒆𝒃𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒖𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑷𝒂𝒊𝒔𝒍𝒆𝒚 𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒎𝒚 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏. 𝑺𝒉𝒆'𝒔 𝒎𝒚 𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒍𝒖𝒄𝒌 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒎."

From the moment they meet, there's an undeniale connection between this couple, but Paisley is set on playing hard to get. The girl is so reticent to engage in a romantic relationship with Cam and I admired his perseverence with her. The guy is so bossy at times, but he clearly knows what he wants and it's Paisley. Their interactions are adorable and gorgeous, that's for sure. But we also get the steam and passion from these two!

"𝑾𝒆 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒃𝒆𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒈𝒂𝒎𝒆."

I was glad to get a good amount of scenes with Easton, the star of Beyond the Bases. It was hilarious to watch him so over-protective of his "little girl". All the cast of this novel made this read incredible! I can't wait for more of the Out of Reach Series!
