There's a myth in our culture that to get ahead in sales, we have to be sharks—greedy, manipulative, and only out for #1. As business owners and creatives who lead with heart, that fear of appearing "salesy" stresses us out and holds us back. We assume that spending money is painful, and feel guilty to ask our clients for more.
The truth is, today's trading-up clients are not only willing to spend big, but they secretly want to. And there are more of them in your market than you think.
Take it from someone who's been in your shoes. Megan has cracked the code on how to attract and serve clients who will pay top dollar. Her LUXE sales system helped her grow from a stay-at-home-mom to a seven-figure earner, and She Sells is her comprehensive playbook. Megan will show you how to evolve your business for the modern economy and lean into your powerful empathy advantage.
Are you ready to become the powerhouse breadwinner you've always wanted to be?
She used Cutco - a notoriously predatory MLM - as a great example of salesmanship. Yikes.
Her “hey girl” tone feels alienating and patronizing. She assumes you’re a woman and that your clients are women, and that men are pushy and not empathetic.
If you’ve been in business for over a year, nothing in this book should be new information. It has some thought provoking moments and it was a good refresher for sure, but nothing that valuable.
I’m glad to see other people are getting a lot from it! It just wasn’t for me.
The book is well written but the subject feels like a propaganda for the author’s education that she wants you to sign up and buy. She will explain her amazing success and lightly touch on how to achieve it but it doesn’t go into depth. Overall, a quick read but nothing life changing.
For the woman solo-preneur in the service industry, I would consider this a must read. It helps people determine their value, charge what they need and deliver on those commitments. Selling a product is a bit different, but I understood her argument.
I had high hopes for the book, after the amazing dedication to “our daughters.”
But as a more experienced business person, the book did not have new information, and I found her tone off-putting (and almost icky at times). It was written too casually. It made me feel like I should have written in…. Congrats to her for getting out there first. ;)
I loved the way she did the 'hold your hand' approach method on how to sell. She includes how you'll feel (uncomfortable), she gives you the exact words to say, and WHEN to say them. I loved the examples and stories she gave of her own experiences (that all weren't perfect) and how she overcame and won the client. Very actionable book that you can start NOW! Im reading this again; I want these gems imprinted on my brain.
A gift from my employer. Good beginner read for females in photography or any niche luxury market. Dig deeper to build your empire and better understand/serve your clients. Megan is an excellent example of what it means to provide a world-class experience to those who have luxury needs. That being said, like most business books, many of the ideas presented are not new but simply reworked and great reminders of what is required.
I really love how she leads with empathy in her business and teachings. In so many business books, it's all the logistics and how we can box people into what we want them to do. The whole book is about leading with empathy and how to craft a business model that guides our clients with things that really matter to them. The books flows well, and there is just so much value in this book. Highly recommend this one.
I enjoyed the authors tone and enthusiasm. It is a good reminder that we are selling not just an item, but a feeling snd an experience. I plan to read it z as second time.
We’ll this book makes me want to buy everything she’s ever written or sells. It’s helpful without being too verbose, but it’s also not full of fluffy bullshit.
