Plummer's Gold
Henry Plummer, sheriff of Bannack, Montana, bargained for his life with the vigilantes in 1864, telling them that if they'd delay his hanging that he'd bring them his weight in gold within two hours. His ploy didn't work; the vigilantes hanged him anyway, and since that day, January 10, 1864, treasure seekers have been looking for Plummer's Gold. This is a story about a young man who finds the gold and discovers a young woman that becomes the love of his life.

A TRULY GREAT WESTERN THRILLER FOR ALL

Plummer's Gold by R.O. Lane is one of those books that set the level of what a great western should be with all the key qualifications checked off from well written characters that will draw you into the storyline from the get go, action packed, a mystery that holds your interest throughout to see how the main characters solve it, a little bit of romance thrown in to satisfy those who long to see the good guy sweep the lovely lady of her feet or vice versa and ride off into the sunset and live happily ever after, and of course, you got the heroes of the story defeating the bad guys and saving the day.
This story takes place in Montana during 1889 where Myles Dawson, a small rancher from Texas, heads to see his dying uncle before he meets his maker. Myles learns his uncle wasn't the best of men while in his younger days and upon his death bed tells Myles of a fortune buried out in the mountains that treasure hunters have been searching for for years. Myles teams up with Zelda Thornton who has dreamed of finding the lost treasure for as long as she remembers. With Zelda at Myles's side and with the experience she brings to the table with living in the territory all her life, they set out on an adventure that will keep you at the edge of your seat as you read as they search for the lost treasure of Plummer's Gold.
After Myles and Zelda's windfall, they set up an account to handle a relief fund for the vitamins of Plummer's Gang and hired a Pinkerton Detective to track down the surviving families of the victims, donating more than half the money they received from the gold. What a great example of doing right when it wasn't even required. A true example of a couple with high morals and the true definition of heroes for all to look up to.
As with everyone one of R.O. Lane's books I have read so far, this is right up there with what I have no doubt will become a western classic for all times. No matter if you're a western fan, a fan of action thrillers, a mystery enthusiast, or a lover of a good romance novel, I pretty much guarantee you'll find yourself enjoying his book as much as I have.

Myles and Zelda will definitely impress you from beginning to end in this series of great stories!
Mr. Lane certainly goes above and beyond in his outstanding descriptiveness of each and every exciting episode that grabs your undivided attention immediately and never falters throughout the entire series of ongoing western excursions! I promise you will find yourselves completely engrossed within the first few pages of this compelling western masterpiece!
Mr. Lane's apparent outstanding knowledge of how I often perceived our old American West was finally settled is definitely exhibited in his successful compilation of unending exciting storylines that grabs his reader's undivided attention immediately and never falters from beginning to end! Too, his superbly selections of characters are unsurpassed in their ongoing commanding assignments, and their endearing assignments will appease anyone's desired expectations!

Plummers Gold
R O you never fail to tell your stories which have a lot of information which is fact. This book tells of a couple who met on a train and it tells about Plummer who was the leader of a wild bunch who robbed & killed people for their gold until people people had enough and they formed a late force who shot or hung most of the Plummer gangs. The Gold was never found until a map was given to them by a member of the gang and the story continues of the search and problems faced.

Miles Dawson's uncle tells him on his deathbed about hidden gold and gives him a map to find it. But his uncle's old gang is after it too and willing to do anything to get it.

A Gold Mine of.a.Book
It's impossible for me to say anything special about this book. As far as I'm concerned, R.O.Lane hasn't written a bad book yet. I think I've enjoyed everything he's published and some of them several times. My highest praise would be to say, Attaboy, keep them coming cause I'll be reading.

Myles
Another great tale of the west and R.O. tells it as well as anyone. I am continually amazed at how much a person can learn from fiction Novels And I firmly believe that good novels are full of facts and Plummers Gold Certainly Gives the reader A lot of factual information.

Not the best but still quite good
RO Lane writes about a time that is past. There's bloodshed but his stories are about good, brave, hard-working men and women. Good, honest, simple love is always an important component of his stories, and this book doesn't disappoint.

Excellent story of gold and love.
A great story of buried gold and how people search for it. There was a treasure map and Dustin went searching and found true love even before he found the gold.

Myles and Zelda
Great story about a Texas rancher that received a map from an Uncle from his death bed. He fought off crooks trying to get the map from him. He met Zelda and they worked together to find the God.Always enjoy reading R.O. Lane books. Hard to put this book down.

Plummer's Gold a great book written by R. O. Lane. I enjoyed the plot of this book being different from other westerns I've read. While it still has the outlaws and gunfights the storyline of the treasure hunt for the gold was refreshing. I loved the characters.

Pretty good book. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Was well written most of the time. Couple of times it reminded me of the old B westerns on tv but all in all a good story with plenty of action and a good ending.

Really enjoyed this story!
This was a really good story! I'm not particularly fond of Appy's especially the one's with broom tails and wispy mane's but there's good and poor in all things and still enjoyed this story a lot!

RO Lane has written another interesting story. A man in search of hidden gold meets a determined young woman who partners with him. The story of their search is compelling as they meet threat after threat and villains determined to overtake them and seize the gold. It is fast paced action and with romance included. It is a great story filled with action, drama and romance. Plummer's gold is retrieved and is used to aide victims of Plummer's criminal actions.
