Bleakly familiar to anyone who's been through this level of abuse. As ever, the underlying message is you cannot change the narcissist, but you can recover away from them yourself.

Quite well written if a little foggy in its narrative in parts, this is a good read for anyone who's suffered from NA.

gréât book

I enjoyed reading this book but could not understand how a person could fall in love with another human being burdened by so many addictions to sex, alcohol and drugs or Getting attached to a woman always drunk, with no job, many health issues, no ambitions or any real talent. Beyond narcissistic personality disorder, there was great dysfunction from the beginning with a love born amidst drunken people in bars, shooting pool and having indiscriminate sex. Yes, Tina may have been narcissistic but much more than that was wrong and clues were everywhere. Sometimes people love to be in denial and live in a fantasy world till they get burned by the heat of their fantasy and the downfall of their illusions.

A loosely organized collection of tales from a relationship with a Narcissist. So much and so many resonate my experience with a Borderline person (undiagnosed, of course).

The book gives a taste of the intensity and confusion that comes with loving a Cluster B personality. It's a wild ride described in a fairly calm voice. Worth a read if you think you've been on a similar trip. We are not alone, and we can move on.

This author had a lot to teach me.

Absolutely stunning narrative of how the core desire to be a decent person and a “nice guy” can go completely off the rails. I am extremely grateful that he took the time to make this available.
