The Harvey Sisters celebrate their first Christmas in Bar Harbor. Love, joy, and companionship await after a year of heartache and mystery— and the eldest sister, Casey Harvey Griffin, is unprepared for what the holiday has in store for her.
Casey has always been the hot-headed sister— the passionate one, the go-getter, the one who took the lead when everything else fell apart. She was there when Nicole's life exploded and there when Heather lost everything. She's always been there to carry the weight of other people's problems. Her own problems? She's shoved those under the carpet, saying, as always, "Everything is fine." It's always been her way.
In truth, Casey's marriage has disintegrated year-after-year, as Grant took projects further and further away from his family and abandoned what they built. Casey's career took a hiatus when her hot-headedness caused a horrible fight at her architecture firm in Portland. For a long time, she had absolutely nothing except her sisters -- and then, as quick as a snap of the fingers, both of her sisters abandoned her for Bar Harbor, a place they always swore they'd never return to.
Now, she's been in Bar Harbor for months, pretending her marriage isn't falling apart, finding new happiness and new hope in a place her mother, Jane, left behind long ago.
Christmas has a number of mysteries up it sleeves. Casey never imagined life had any twists or turns left for her. But with enough creativity, love, and the support of family— Casey might just have the Christmas of her dreams.

I really liked the Casey/Grant story. Casey was so sad and felt so removed from her husband Grant. And he was living a double life to try and help his brother. Casey’s anger almost gets the best of her over and over again, but Grants persistence keeps him around even when no one wants him. How it all resolves is the great part of the story and kind of sets up the next story line. I really loved this story - true love should always win.
Casey, on of the sisters in in Bar Harbor for the holidays. She thinks husband Grant is harboring secrets. It turns out the secrets may be different than what Casey thinks! A divorce lawyer is hired by Casey….what will her investigation turn up? Will Grant be able to convince Casey his love is real?
Great descriptions of scenery of Maine during the holidays.
Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my honest opinion
This was a let down. I'm tired of reading stories about how famous/successful/ perfect each sister is or will be soon or was etc. Unbelievable consumption of alcohol while talking over problems re Grants brother's alcoholism while you guessed it...he knocks back shot after shot. I can't imagine how they can work out any of their problems when they drink so much. Not heartwarming in any way.
A well written page turner, except I wanted to reach the end quickly and find the HEA. Casey’s anger gets out of control and assumptions are made. Hope she finds ways to channel it more productively in the future. Regardless still enjoyed the continuation of these three sisters. I have given my honest opinion to receive this ARC.

This installment of the Bar Harbor series focuses on secrets and false assumptions. Casey and Grant have been leading a long-distance marriage, causing separate lives and misunderstandings. The importance of communication is crucial to a good marriage. The Maine landscape provides the fierceness and beauty that in a way represents marriage. This was another great story in the series.
Could it really be true, could Grant really have a second family? Casey, Heather and Nicole, the Harvey Sisters once again has a full plate and you will so enjoy how they handle it. You will feel as if you are right there in Bar Harbor with them.
