Thank you Urcelia for this ARC copy. This character is different from Alex hunt and Adam cross books but I enjoyed jorja as a new fictional character.

A very easy read with plenty of twists, turns and tight spots to get through, but keeps you turning the page to the very end.
Keeps you guessing till the very last page..... can't wait for book 2 and what happens next.

Jorja Rose Is an amazing character, a Women with the past, a dangerous past but I also a woman with a conscience the conscience that led her to make a choice and discover God in the process. Since taking refuge in an idyllic seaside town in Cornwall, England she has become an art gallery owner in the small town of St. Ives. They say our past catches up to us eventually and it looks like it’s catching up to Jorja. Those she burned are coming for her, to settle the score and take revenge.
When Myles, a friend in town is murdered her friend the sheriff, Ewan, a close friend starts asking questions. When Ewan becomes the second person to die Jorja devise she must take matters into her own hands. Ewan is the friend that helped her find God and his death devastated her. Forgetting his last words to her, “Leave anger to God” she was filled with anger. Fueled by her anger and revenge she goes into overdrive in this thrilling, edge of your seat story takes off into a wildly thrilling rollercoaster ride with up and downs, more twists and turns than a country road and an upside down, hang on for dear life ride.
We begin to see Jorja’s past life begin to unfold and we also see her connection to the criminals who have come for her. Looking to her past for help we see the life she left behind.
Urcelia Teixeira is a gifted and prolific wordsmith who writes a compelling, intense story that has you holding your breath as you grip the arm of our seat. I couldn’t put this book down! I loved it, for its message, the action, suspense and thrilling story that it is. And just when you you’ve come to the last page and the huge cliffhanger it’s like and end of the season finale of your favorite tv show. I can’t wait for the next book to come out! I could stand to see book this as a major motion picture. I can just see it play out on the big screen!
With excellent writing, amazing characters, a fascinating plot, and incredible imagery the author renders an exciting and epic story!

I have read a number of Urcelia’s books. She’s a gifted writer who just keeps getting better and better. This is her best book so far. I felt I was a fly on the wall of each page’s location, listing and observing. Her imagery and wordsmithing are excellent.
I was immediately drawn into this new series as the protagonist, Jorja Rose, who has been trying for several decades to lead a new, quiet life in a small town in Cornwall, England, has her life turned upside down by a murder of a town friend, Myles. No one in town is suspecting her of committing the murder, but she quickly discovers that a haunting someone from her past is responsible. The town sheriff, Ewan, a close friend, begins asking questions. “The dark secrets of her past now threaten to bubble up to the surface and disrupt everything she had worked so hard to keep hidden.” Sadly, Ewan, the one who kept pointing Jorja to God, becomes the second person in town to die of this past connection. Jorja is angry, very angry. She then decides to step into her past shoes to take matters into her own hands. Vengeance. Anger and bitterness are the fuel. The book then goes full throttle into action, suspense, with many thriller twists and turns as the reader meets people from Jorja’s past who are out to do her in or use her. Buckle your seatbelt, reader!
Urcelia slowly reveals Jorja’s past and her connection to these international thugs. As Jorja moves more deeply into her past, dark life, her conscience is pricked with the Ewan’s last words, “Leave anger to God.”
The final pages ramp up to high thriller status and then……just like a season finale of a favorite TV drama, the reader is left hanging, aching for more, and has to wait until book 2! I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!
I am thrilled to find a book of this genre that is suspenseful, full of action, IS a thriller and has heart. Good for you, Urcelia! Keep writing from a faith-filled perspective that leaves out swearing and raunch. You have an audience!

Interesting mystery that moved along at a pretty fast pace with lots of action.
The main character, Jorga, is living a quiet life in a small town when she notices a stranger watching her. One of her customers is murdered and she is on the suspect list. She realizes her past is catching up with her but the reader doesn't know what that past is and it is only revealed slowly throughout the whole book. She is attacked in her store and her friend, a town cop, is shot. She decides she needs to go on the run and go after the people who are responsible. She travels to London to an old friend/lover and then heads to Switzerland. Along the way she encounters quite a few attempts on her life and manages to get away although bruised and battered each time.
Jorga is a very stubborn character and is fighting hard against several influences in her life. Several friends and strangers try to tell her to let God in and he will help her but she is very resistant and wants revenge before accepting him. Towards the end of the book she finally realizes she was wrong but it is a bit late. She accepts help from her friends rather grudgingly in some cases and wants to do things her way. She has developed some friendships over the years but doest not want to put herself at risk for truly letting others in. She is forced to rely on skills she hasn't used in a very long time to get herself out of some scrapes. Wasn't expecting the cliff hanger at the end. Could have used a little more background on some of the characters sooner in the book but overall enjoyed it.

This is a really great story but the reason for 4stars is because it ends on a cliffhanger! My own personal opinion is I don't like them, finish the story please or at least let it end in a place where you have a complete story and then continue the next book with the same characters in a different situation. I'm sorry Ms. Teixeira but this story was so amazing that once I started reading I couldn't put it down because the action and suspense just kept exploding and I had to find out what was going to happen, so I was let down with where we ended. I know that the next book will put us right back into the middle of the action, and this is just the way some authors keep people interested in reading their books. It is the same with television series they leave you hanging so you will come back for more. I'm just not in favour but that is my opinion and not necessarily yours. And the story is amazing to that point so I will be waiting for more, lol.. I received a free download of this book from the publisher. This review is my own honest opinion.

Wow!! This is a new to me author and new to me genre, but I am loving both!!

But when a beloved man of the town is murdered, found on her back property, and the murder weapon a mysterious copper rose that only she knows what means, Jorja knows her past has come back to haunt her. She ignores all the signs of being chased for a little while. But when she is attacked and a dear friend is shot trying to protect her she can no longer ignore the past. Fueled by fear and anger, she goes after her pursuers. She knows who they are and where they live. It becomes an intense game of hunter and hunted as they will do everything to kill her before she can get to them. But Jorja soon learns that vengeance is a painful trail. Will she surrender it to God or pursue her own way??
This series MUST be read in order!!

Oh noooooooo! I can’t believe I need to wait til early 2022 for Book 2 with its continuation of this fast paced, exciting thriller where our female protagonist is caught between desire for the adrenaline rush of a criminal lifestyle, the perceived safety of living a fake life and a beginning awareness of wanting to surrender to Gods grace. My heart is still pitter pattering from the adrenaline rush I got from reading this book which I really couldn’t put down. As always with this author her descriptions of the main characters experiences put me right there in the scene - when I felt scared I reminded myself that this is ‘just a story’ and among one of the best stories I have ever read. I highly recommend reading this book!

Hatred and rage are powerful emotions.
How many times have you responded with a knee jerk reaction when you've been hit with an event or incident that wrongs you and/or your loved ones in an extreme and life changing way? No one is exempt from this reaction, pretty much everyone responds in some way; very few don't respond at all. I know I have, whether it's crying, yelling, screaming...I've had enough severe events in my life that I've done all 3. It's during these times when we need to try our hardest to be still for a time...no matter how short, just try your hardest...and try to hear Heavenly Father as He speaks to you. He can guide you through those dark times, but the hardest thing to do is be still and listen for His quiet voice. A powerful story. Great read!

My thoughts about this book:
• The book had lots of action and moved very fast.
• The author does a great job of describing scenes and emotions with her words.
• Jorja was determined and strong willed. She did not take anyone else's input and always ended up in trouble because of it.
• I liked Ben more than Jorja. I connected more with his personality.
• I felt the ending left things incomplete. The ending felt like a cliffhanger to me.
I was given an advance copy of this book. My review was voluntary and my opinions were my own. I gladly recommend this book to readers who enjoy Christian suspense.

Run Jorja: real live characters, suspense, suspense, and thriller from the beginning to the end. Fast paced and easy to read, outstanding! So passport in hand and bags packed I am off to help Jorja. Urcelia did not disappoint me if you enjoy traveling then get your passports ready??? Did I say passports lol guess I did Cliffhanger??? Now I have to wait for the next book, but it will be so worth it!!!

Okay, I don't know where this book came from. It's going to hook you into the story line, have you get on side with our heroine. Have you think things are just going to take off at any moment now and then just leave you hanging there. The author has outdone herself and now we wait for the next book.

Great book with a awesome new character. I liked Adam Cross, Loves Alex and Sam, but words do not describe how I feel about Jorja! Action and then more action with some God involvement in the background! Can not wait til part 2 comes out!!

This was a fast paced thriller action read. It was tied up a little too conveniently, but I still liked this book a lot. I have read most of this authors books and will continue to do so.

Jorga seems like she is living an ordinary life. She has a small art gallery in an English town where she has lived for many years. But suddenly her past comes back to confront her, and she quickly learns that she could only hide for so long.
Europe is such a wonderful setting for novels about espionage. The places that were picked to feature added much to the enjoyment of the books. I really liked how certain behind the scenes details were included.
I did like the spiritual elements of this book and this series. For a while, Jorga was hiding from her past. She was not really living. So, I liked how by confronting her past mistakes, she was able to move forward into a better future. The books are definitely connected - I would highly recommend reading them in order.
This book ends on a cliff hanger. In fact, as a reader, you might feel a bit jolted. You will definitely want to read book two right away.

This was an exciting read from start to finish! Urcelia does a superb job of delivering a fast paced, clean, faith based, roller-coaster ride of a thriller! Most of the books I read are freebies, but Urcelia is one of the few authors whose books I am happy to purchase, knowing that I won’t be disappointed! There is more to the story than this first book, but I highly recommend you read it - you won’t mind purchasing book #2!

Not the usual author story level
I had enjoyed her previous works so thought this would be a good one. Short, characters lacking and storyline too obvious. Not sure I’ll continue to follow this author, but will see if I can get Book II and if it gets any better. Leaving this book with an ending as it is….not good.

disappointed
GEORGINA or Jorja was out to seek revenge no matter what the stakes were. Her character was hard to believe and the plot ended too neatly and conveniently.
