Rules of Love #3

The Virgin Replay

Rate this book
A virgin, an athlete, a fake romance...and only one bed in the hotel room.

Following rules shot me to the top of my game as an all-star baseball player, and the golden rule is this -- don’t hookup with your teammate’s sister.

But ask her to be your fake date when you desperately need one for a family wedding?

Nothing in the guy code against that. Plus, the flirty, feisty Sierra’s my friend too, so why the hell not pretend we’re madly in lust for two days in Hawaii? No hardship in a make believe kiss here, a fake smooch there, as long as we don’t cross any dangerous lines.

Then, the hotel books us into the same suite. Which means she’s showering near me, putting on itty bitty bikinis in the same room, sliding into that king-size bed wearing only a black lace cami.

But I resist...until the night she tells me she’s been waiting for me to be her first.

And there’s nothing fake about my desire to say yes, even though that’s definitely against the code. But, maybe only if someone catches feelings?
And neither one of us will.
Until I do…

Lauren Blakely continues her sexy Rules of Love baseball romance series with this fun and forbidden my-teammate’s-sister story.

When top MLB closer Chance Ashford finds himself in need of a fake date for destination family wedding, he knows exactly who he wants to ask: the stunning and fierce bar owner who he’s had his on for the past year, but couldn’t ask out because of the bro-code. But a pretend weekend in Hawaii would be ok, right?

Sierra Blackwood has dedicated her life to study and be a successful business owner and hasn’t really considered being in a relationship, especially not after her ex cheated her. But after getting to know the kind and charming pitcher, she’s decided he should be her first. And it’s perfect because neither is looking for more.

Lauren Blakely is a master at flirty, sexy banter that always makes me smile. It’s carefree, fun and clever. The relationship between Sierra and Chance felt easy and with incredible “wild chemistry.” Including the forbidden aspect is on the low end of the drama spectrum.

Sierra is a great heroine. She’s brilliant, passionate and awesome, all things Chance sees and appreciates. While Chance is a loyal, plant loving, dirty talking, honest to goodness great guy. I loved every time he asked Google for advice, and I adored his relationship with his identical twin brother whose story I can’t wait to read.

The Virgin Replay is book #3 of the Rules of Love series by Lauren Blakely. A standalone sports romance told from both points of view, with multiple epilogues (one from Tom the cat). Tropes: forbidden romance | friends to lovers

5 SMOOCHES!

A sexy, sweet and swoony sports romance, especially when delivered within a friends-to-lovers storyline, is a surefire way to guarantee that I’m going to be a happy reader. Lauren Blakely knows exactly how to do just that for me, and she’s been killing it with her Rules of Love series. I listened to the audio version of The Virgin Replay, narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Vanessa Edwin, and it was wonderfully produced and expertly performed. A dash forbidden, this playful and passionate sports romance brings together a virgin and an athlete—who are both secretly crushing on the other—in a fake romance with some forced proximity vibes.

I have been looking forward to Sierra and Chance’s story since we were introduced to these characters. Their friendship was fun and flirty, and I couldn’t wait for them to finally act on all that chemistry. I loved Sierra. She’s a driven, ambitious and hardworking owner of a popular bar. She’s focused on building her business, and as such, her love life has been on the back-burner. While she is confident and in her element behind the bar, there was also an innocent, vulnerable side to her, too. Chance, a professional baseball player and her brother’s teammate, has been patronizing her bar and they’ve developed their own friendship which formed a solid foundation for their relationship. There’s a lot of trust and respect—along with some serious sparks—between the two of them, and their easy, natural friendship makes it a no-brainer choice for Chance when he finds himself in need of a date for a destination wedding. As it turns out, this works out well for Sierra who has her own a favor to ask of Chance as well. With their cards on the table, their friendship is quickly engulfed by all of these can’t-keep-my-hands-off-you, crush-turning-to-more kind of feels, and it translated into the kind of feel-good, fire-filled, friends finally falling in love story that I find absolutely addictive.

In general, Lauren Blakely’s romances aren’t known to be particularly angsty or overly dramatic. She pens love stories that are driven not by drama, but maturity, and because of that, they’re always a cover-to-cover, pleasure to read for me. These are the kinds of stories that I’m happy to start and make me happier the more I read. The Virgin Replay is exactly that kind of story, and I was so completely swept up in Sierra and Chance’s romance. Five smooches from me for The Virgin Replay by Lauren Blakely!

ARC REVIEW
I expected more from this book.

Sierra is a bar owner and sister of Chance’s best friend. Sierra has one thing in mind to give her virginity to her long time crush Chance. Chance on the other hand is aware he’s attracted to Sierra but he knows he can’t get closer to her because of the code of not touching best friend’s sister. Yet fate works in surprising ways and a wedding of their friends changes the situation.

To be honest the beginning of the book looked very promising and I thought the whole book will be. But soon after introducing the fake relationship thing everything went just down (in my opinion). I just didn’t feel it and couldn’t find any connection between main characters. And even though I read the whole story, I didn’t really enjoy it.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

I thought this was going to be one thing and it turned out not to be, it turned out even better!
Going in from the title you know it is going to be a virgin story and I should know by now to never think one thing with Lauren she always surprises me in the most delightful way.

My heart ached for Chance not because his marriage didn’t work but because it hurt him. So his plan to ask Sierra to be his fake date I had all the high hopes. I loved his sense of duty to his teammates. And I also just loved his character we need more Chance’s in romance.

Sierra is all about her bar and making it, she forgets to have fun and I loved that Chance brings that out in her. Agreeing to go with Chance and then more, it really gave Sierra the confidence she needed in herself. That she is just more than her career, she is still a woman with other wants and needs. That she isn’t her parents, she can and does makes her own choices.
I loved the small interaction she has with her brother.
I just loved this book and I know you will too.

If you follow me you know Teddy is my favorite and can do no wrong, this book hits the spot for me. Vanessa was Sierra for me. Loved it more with this combo!

due to the "teammate's sister" code, chance never did anything even though he was insanely attracted to sierra. however, when he needed a date to their friend's wedding where his ex-wife will be, chance asked sierra if she would be his pretend date. sierra didn't agree just because she's doing chance a favour. she wants chance, the guy she trusts, to take her virginity and she's hoping it will happen during this trip to hawaii. sierra is ambitious and determined to expand her business. she has worked her butt off to be where she is so relationships and the matters of the heart have been pushed back. while she might say she's not ready for a relationship, sierra couldn't help but fall for chance.

overall, i liked this friends-to-lovers between sierra and chance. there's so much chemistry and i love this period before they realised that "i'm in love and pining".

Chance and Sierra have been dancing around deeper feelings for quite some time now. She's a hard-working bar owner, and he's the teammate of her brother, so anything more than friendship is definitely a no go. However, when he needs a date to a wedding, who else would he ask but the gorgeous friend he can't help but like? But when the fake dating seems to be leading to more than fake, will these two admit to their feelings, or keep it strictly fake and friendship only?

I think what I love most about Chance and Sierra, and most of Lauren's stories in general, is that the characters are all so likable and real. Sierra and Chance are not only real, but sweethearts, friends first who flirt but never step over that line, until they can't help themselves. That's so human nature, something I think we've all felt at one time or another, even if we've never acted upon it. Chance is the quintessential good guy who's been hurt, so is guarded but not a jerk. Sierra is equally a good girl with a big heart, but one who rarely does anything but work her tail off. So when given a chance to let go, with the friend she trusts and has strong feelings for, of course she's there, who wouldn't be? Lots of heat, more than its fair share of heart, and a wonderful, easy and sweet friendship turned more, this is definitely the kind of friends to lovers story I love best.

4.5 “I can be impulsive with you” stars!

Since the moment Chance laid eyes on Sierra, he had a crush. However, Sierra is the sister of his teammate, Grant, and he refuses to break the bro code that makes Sierra off limits. When he needs a date to a wedding that Sierra is already attending, they decide to fake date so he doesn’t have to deal with his ex. Little do they know they won’t need to be pretend for long because they fall hard and fast, and I loved every second of the ride!!

Chance and Sierra have mad chemistry and the obvious attraction makes the fake date feel real and natural when they are together. Since neither want a relationship, they decide to enjoy the weekend together and Chance is sure he won’t break the bro code by breaking her heart. But hearts do get involved and I loved that Chance and Sierra are exactly what the other didn’t know they needed.
We’re on the brink of something. A crossroads in our friendship where maybe we both want it to go to the next level.

They are open and honest about who they are and what they want. They are easy going and comfortable with each other which makes the progression from friends to lovers believable. They have so much fun together when they are just being themselves and I loved their relationship.
We taste like the kind of deep, wild connection I’ve never had. I don’t know what we are, or what we’re doing. All I know is I don’t want us to end.

Overall, The Virgin Replay is a lighthearted, feel-good read that made me grin from ear to ear, and a fantastic addition to the Rules of Love series. There is no real drama, only humor, heart, and a whole lot of heat, and even two sweet epilogues. I loved it!

Here’s the thing, if I’m ever feeling down, and want a novel that’s just going to be up beat and full of positivity, a LB book is just the thing. The Virgin Replay with Sierra and Chance was fun, flirtatious, sexy and endearing.

Chance is a pro ball player, the closing pitcher for the San Francisco Cougars, and he is a team mate of Grant from The Men of Summer series. Grant also happens to be Sierra’s brother, so Chance does not want to break any bro codes lusting after his sister. Sierra is the sole owner of a bar, frequented by the players, where she and Chance have been spending time together in the past year since his divorce. Needing a date to his cousin’s wedding, Chance asks Sierra to head to Hawaii with him as his fake date to ward off any uncomfortable questions from family on how’s he’s doing and moving on. Although, the more time they spend together, the more they can’t part.

I feel Chance and Sierra will be top of everyone’s LB couples. Both handled the situations with maturity and left off the frivolous drama. They were thinkers, and planners but also let a few things happen organically. There is a twist, a brilliant one, which triggers a do-over - a replay of sorts. I couldn’t have been more happy for them. I also loved hearing from Grant and Declan again, even if it was short - an amazing pair. As per all LB epilogues, it was sweet. The bonus second one, funny. There are a few books lined up in the LB universe, and I can’t wait to read about Clementine and Shane as well as TJ and his movie star hero.

I adored Chance and Sierra.

Sometimes, the books that are the most fun are the ones that take the expectations of the characters and upend them in a way that makes the story work while still allowing them to feel like people.

Chance has certain expectations of women, and of relationships because of his past experiences with both of them...and it's these experiences that make him both jaded, and unwilling to look hurt and jaded to anyone on the outside, hence the need for a fake date to a wedding that will also be attended by his ex wife.

Sierra works too hard, falls asleep in her bar after closing, and generally needs a break but doesn't feel like she is in the right place to take one...but, helping out the friend whom she also lusts after? Now, that is an excuse she can get behind...with some encouragement.

Their chemistry works, you believe in them as friends and as a couple. You believe that they care for one another, and that the relationship is genuine...even before they figure it out for themselves.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

The Virgin Replay is about Chance and Sierra, and has the (not best friend, just friend) younger sister's trope. Sierra owns The Spotted Zebra, a bar that her brother and his hockey team usually frequents. One of those hockey players is Chance, and both he and Sierra feel a sharp connection and attraction for each other. However, Chance was just dragged through the media in a divorce, and Sierra is constantly working to make something of herself following her parent's neglect and lack of support as she was growing up. There were some heavy themes here, and though they were touched upon, it doesn't drag into the romance.

Sierra is definitely ready to get to know Chance more, and she has a proposition for him. Chance has one right back for her, and their fake date in Hawaii is the perfect setting for them to see if there's anything more. I love that it's very clear Chance is ready to move on and go all in with Sierra, who's reflective enough to know that she needs to start living (and not just for work), and that her relationships and her future isn't going to be like her parents. This was a quick and fun addition to the Rules of Love series.

Mary – ☆☆☆☆
Sierra has a crush on her brother's teammate, Chance. Although he has flirted with her each time he has come into her bar over the last year, he hasn’t asked her out yet. She is her own woman, is the owner of her bar, confident, sassy, independent, and wants to give her innocence to Chance.

Chance sees Sierra as the woman she is, but he doesn't want to break the bro code. He doesn't believe in dating a teammate's sister. But when he needs a fake date for a family wedding in Hawaii, Sierra is the first woman to come to mind.

Is it safe for Sierra and Chance to be alone and think nothing will happen between them? Can they spend time together and not end up with one or both brokenhearted?

I loved the others in this series, and I really enjoyed Chance and Sierra, they were fun, flirty, heartfelt, friends-to-lovers, chemistry sizzling under the surface, and the story is perfect for Sierra and Chance. And don't forget the epilogue from Tom the cat.

Shannan – ☆☆☆☆
THE VIRGIN REPLAY is the third installment in the Rules of Love series. It can be read as a standalone but reads so much better if you read in the order the author intended. It is even better if you read the Men of Summer series before this series.

Chance is the closing pitcher with the San Francisco Cougars. He has very specific rules on how to life his life. Be a good teammate, be a fantastic closing pitcher, and don't date a teammate's sister. He's got the first two with no problem, it's the third he's having trouble with. Sierra is Grant's sister. Grant is Chance's catcher on the Cougars. Sierra owns the Spotted Zebra, a bar that the team's players frequent often. Sierra and Chance friendly flirt when they are together, but Sierra has plans that involve Chance. When they are both invited to a location wedding in Hawaii, Chance asks Sierra to be his fake date to show his family and ex-wife he's finally moved on from the very public divorce. Sierra agrees but the date turns out to be anything but fake.

I loved getting the small glimpse of the characters from Men of Summer. Lauren Blakely definitely hit the ball out of the park with this one. It's a great friends-to -lovers read. Fun and flirty, and the sexy chemistry comes through with Sierra and Chance.

I can't wait for TJ's book! I need to know all about the romance writer!

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This is the third book in the series, and whilst each one is a new romance, there are links across this and other of the author's sports romances – I love catching up and seeing different sides of the story!

Sierra has been a stalwart in earlier books, and so we all know how hard she works in her bar to be successful, and independent of her rich and famous baseball playing brother. We also have a strong suspicion of her crush on Chance, but due to his friendship with Grant, there are bro codes not to be broken.

However, as fake dates to a wedding? Surely Grant can't complain at that... but then they find themselves together in Vegas... Yep, these two are definitely riding the wave of chemistry, but also years of friendship and closeness.

I really enjoyed how they smoothly slip into wanting more, and knowing that it is both unacceptable, but inevitable. The Hawaii wedding setting, the crazy thing they do in Vegas – fabulously entertaining and enjoyable.

All three books so far have been really brilliant at taking the virgin from the title and making it clear that this is not to be seen as a slur or an ambition, but just is how it can be, and who should judge anyway? Thank you, Lauren Blakely, for a great series!

M/F Romance

Sierra is feisty, competent, strong, and, sigh, still a virgin. She's been so busy with school and running her business, that she put relationships on the back burner. However, now that she has a successful business, her friends and family are pushing her to take a break for herself. Sierra loves her bar and especially enjoys nights when a certain sexy player comes in to flirt with her.

Chance knows that baseball is what he has. He holds on to it with everything he is. He also knows that you don't date your teammates' sisters. But there's just something about Sierra that he can't let go. He loves their banter, comes in to chat with just her, and doesn't really date ever. He knows that it can lead to heartbreak and a life full of regret. He has his family to show him why relationships are not for him.

On a whim, because they are heading to the same wedding and Chance doesn't want so many questions regarding his cheating ex-wife, who will also be at the wedding, Chance and Sierra decide to attend together. Sierra wants to be wild and spontaneous and Chance just wants to be near her.

Their spontaneity might get them in trouble, or it might lead to something so much more. It's a fun story where sometimes you have to get out of your own way to find happiness.

The Virgin Replay is book three in the Rules of Love series by Lauren Blakely and features interconnected characters from some of her other fabulous books such as the Men of Summer series. This book can be read as a standalone and has it all–low angst, swoon worthy heroes, virgin heroines, sports, friends-to-lovers, forbidden lovers, fake relationship, and beautiful tropical scenery.

Chance is the closing pitcher on the professional baseball team, the San Francisco Cougars and is guarded with good reason. Having been faithfully married for over a decade and recently divorced, he is not willing to risk his heart again. He’s such a stand-up guy and the perfect package! He’s not a player with the ladies and possesses charm, good looks, and chiseled abs, as well as patience and loyalty. Even though she’s off limits romantically, he can’t help but gravitate to the Spotted Zebra, the local bar owned by his teammate’s younger sister, Sierra, and they become fast friends.

I love how easily they meshed, how witty and flirty their conversations were, and how they supported each other. When he needed a date for a wedding in Hawaii where his ex-wife would be present, Sierra didn’t hesitate to agree to help him out, and that is when their relationship took a sexy turn. Lauren’s books are always filled with heart and heat and once these two started–a little touch here and a little touch there, they couldn't keep their hands off each other!

Even though this book is pretty predictable, it’s well worth the read and will make you smile. I adore friends-to-lovers, and Chance and Sierra are a perfect match. They genuinely like each other and have been smitten with each other for quite some time. When they are finally alone, they can’t help but act on their feelings which only intensify after they are intimate.

Blakely’s characters are always so relatable with tremendous character growth. In the Virgin Replay, Chance does some soul searching and comes to the conclusion that true love is worth the risk. I adore how unconditionally and passionately he loves Sierra, who is mature beyond her years. She’s smart and funny, devoted to our hero, and willing to let down her guard and compromise to make their relationship work. I love how she makes him feel complete and that he never has to question her love for him when he is away on the job as a professional athlete.

5 Well A-L-O-H-A Stars!!!

I absolutely loved everything about Chance and Sierra’s story. I didn’t know I NEEDED their story as much as I did until I had the pleasure of listening to Vanessa Edwin and Teddy Hamilton bringing Chance and Sierra to life!!

This is really a story about finding your other half that’s already in your life but you’re so focused on other aspects of your day to day living it didn’t really occur to you that what you’ve been desiring is right in front of you. So when Chance asks Sierra, who’s a friend of his thanks to Chance being a pitcher on her brother Grant’s SF Cougars baseball team, and that she owns one of the hottest bars in the city, The Spotted Zebra, it was a no brainer. Sierra wants to get rid of something and Chance is the man she’s chosen to be her first so being in the tropics is the perfect place for this deflowering!!

Their rapport is easy, smart and sassy. Their friendship has only gotten stronger over the last year and there’s a low burning flame that’s getting hotter and hotter as their banter gets sexier and sexier. And oh my stars Ms. Blakely gives us some HAF love scenes!! It was so fabulous listening to Sierra tell Chance exactly what she wanted and how she wanted it!!

This book is quick moving but it’s smooth and effortless and I found myself getting lost in the words. I feel like I need to be friends with these two because they’re awesome. And even though there’s a very little bit of angst while our H/h are realizing that their fake relationship should be and could be a real relationship, it added to the story in just the right way. There are moments when Chance is trying to do “the right thing” but his heart is telling him, after a couple of key conversations, that he needs to get his girl!!

I literally found myself listening to this book at every opportunity I could… in my car, at work, walking the dog, etc. Teddy and Vanessa are the perfect voices for this story. And when you add in all the cameos of other Lauren Blakely characters and locations along with a PURE GOLD Epilogue narrated by Aaron Shedlock this book is pure perfection!!

Chance is the star pitcher for the San Francisco Cougars. He is in need of a date for a family wedding in Hawaii and he hatches a plan to ask his friend and teammate's sister, Sierra. Sierra has a bit of a crush on Chance already. But both know the score. There are bro-code and fake date rules. No hanky panky should be had. Just friends making a splash at the wedding so his shrew of the ex and well-meaning family members do not take pity on him.

Chase is the epitome of a good guy. He follows the rules. He cares about other's feelings and needs. He is a people pleaser and wants everyone to like him and be happy. He is kind of adorkable in his attempts at the dating scene. I found him to be endearing, charming, and sexy.

Sierra is her own woman. She seeks out control and likes to be in charge of her own decisions. She is sassy, sarcastic, and owns her own bar. She is untrusting and picky about men. She does not want the hassle and heartbreak of a relationship but wants to finally go all the way in the bedroom.

Temptation. Chemistry. Fire. Camaraderie. Fun.

These two really do like each other. They have great banter, common interests, similar goals, and ethics, and are very devoted to their careers. They have both been burned by relationships and do not want to jump back into one. But the sexual tension is strong with these two and they cannot avoid it or deny it. Paradise and each other are making them come alive. Maybe those rules can be bent since it is a special occasion and neither wants more? Sounds like a solid plan for vacation nookie and then go home friends.

Sometimes rules get bent. Lines get blurred. Feelings emerge. Excitement and impulsivity win over planning and logic. And things can veer off into other directions.

This is a flirty, fun, heartfelt, best-friends-sister, friends-to-lovers, go-a-bit-crazy-on-vacation rom-com. I adored both Chance and Sierra and thought they made such a wonderful match. Sure there are a few complications and they both need to learn to get out of their own way at times.

I loved getting more with his twin brother, TJ. Their relationship is a special part of the story and really helps define Chance's personality as well. They are different, but also such great supportive siblings. I was excited to get more with her brother, Grant, who I adore. Some of the other baseball guys filter in and out as well. And her girlfriends are spunky (Special shout-outs to Clementine and Rory). I love this crew and series.

Sierra Blackwood has had her life all planned out. Scarred by her flighty and unreliable parents, she set a course for her life: study, graduate, save money, open her bar. She accomplished all of that but it's been detrimental to her love life. She opted out of sex while she was accomplishing her goals and now she reeeeally wants to hand out her V-card.

Enter Chance Crawford, her brother's teammate, to whom she's very attracted. And would you look at that! He needs her help. Chance has been divorced for a little more than a year and now he has to attend a wedding where his cheating ex-wife is also a guest. He desperately needs a date so that he doesn't get the pity looks from his family and friends. Sierra is the perfect choice. Though he's attracted to her - A LOT - he will abide by the bro-code (no dating of sisters of teammates).

What he wasn't expecting was that Sierra would throw him a curve ball, an offer he just can't refuse...Bro-code be damned!!!

Very low angst-y and very sweet, this book is a perfect read for a cozy afternoon when all you want is to see nice people fall in love. We also get to see a little of Grant and Declan (Men of Summer series) too, as Sierra is his sister. That's a great bonus in my book!

Narration: wonderfully narrated by Vanessa Edwin and Teddy Hamilton with a cute and hilarious epilogue narrated by Aaron Shedlock voicing Sierra's cat!

Possible triggers: mentions of parental alienation and cheating

This book was deliciously sexy and playful. No doubt listeners and readers will fall in love with Chance and Sierra’s story. Everything I love about a Lauren Blakely book is found here. Romance, humor, great banter, flirting with scenes that will leave you breathless because they are absolute fire!
I enjoyed Chance and TJ's relationship, those brothers cracked me up when they messed with the waiter and of course when TJ has words with Sierra.
I also loved that Sierra is confident enough to know what she wants and is not shy about letting Chance know.
So much sexy flirting between them. It was absolutely 100% swoony! I just loved their friendship and how it evolved.
Vanessa Edwin and Teddy Hamilton were the PERFECT choices for Sierra and Chance.
Also...Tom.. can we talk about the perfection that is Sierra’s cat? So suave and Aaron Shedlock was so good!
Included with this book was a teaser of The Boyfriend Playbook, which sounds like it's going to be fantastic!
And...a teaser preview of Hopelessly Bromantic with Shane East and Teddy Hamilton. Ohhh that teaser gives you just enough to hook you in. I cannot wait for that one!

The Virgin Replay is the third book in the Rules of Love series. It’s a standalone though. If you have read the other books in the series, you will recognize some characters throughout. It’s a fake relationship trope between a virgin and a baseball pitcher. Sierra and Chance have always had chemistry but remained exclusively in the friend zone. Both are not looking for anything serious so when Chance needs a date to a wedding in Maui, Sierra agrees to go with him and pretend to date him. They decide to throw it all to the wind and just hookup without fake dating.

These two have sparks and teasing banter in spades. Both characters were easy to love. The pace was only slightly rushed because of that it is a super quick read. There is another trope introduced, later in the book, that you don’t see often and I won’t spoil it but I don’t think it was completely necessary with the other trope at play. However, that trope on it’s own would have been awesome. This is not my favorite book of the author’s but it’s still very entertaining and has all the Lauren Blakely trademarks you come to expect in her books.

*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

This is the third book in the series, and whilst each one is a new romance, there are links across this and other of the author's sports romances - I love catching up and seeing different sides of the story!

Sierra has been a stalwart in earlier books, and so we all know how hard she works in her bar to be successful, and independent of her famous, rich baseball playing brother. We also have a strong suspicion of her crush on Chance, but due to his friendship with Grant, there are bro codes not to be broken.

However as fake dates to a wedding? Surely Grant can't complain at that ... but then they find themselves together in Vegas ... yep, these two are definitely riding the wave of chemistry, but also years of friendship and closeness.

I really enjoyed how they smoothly slip into wanting more, and knowing that it is both unacceptable, but inevitable. The Hawaii wedding setting, the crazy thing they do in Vegas - fabulously entertaining and enjoyable.

All three books so far have been really brilliant at taking the virgin from the title and making it clear that this is not to be seen as a slur, or an ambition, but just is how it can be, and who should judge anyway? Thank you Lauren Blakely for a great series!

Soo good, I stayed up all night reading it..

And that’s the proof of how good this book was. It oozed sexy goodness along with the sultry, seductive ‘badness’.
Both Sierra and Chance have been through the wringer in recent years. Chance with a divorce and Sierra with a less than stellar boyfriend. Ex-wife and boyfriend are now in the past. They’ve spent the last year slowly getting to know each other ‘as friends’, with none of the other expectations getting in the way because they weren’t looking for more. But with a wedding on the horizon that they are both invited to, fate takes a hand to bring them closer together.
And boy, did they?
A friends to lovers story with a tempting heart.
I loved how these two came together, it was hot, fast and enticing. It made me wish I could get away to Hawaii, or anywhere tropical. Reading this book there would have been even more fun. Grab your copy today and see where it takes you.

Chance and Sierra's story is pretty quick-paced, sweet, and steamy.

Chance needed a buffer to go to his cousin's wedding because his ex is going to be there. Since Sierra's also going he thought to ask her to be his fake date. Also, he has a separate selfish reason for one that wouldn't break the bro code.

Sierra has had a crush on Chance ever since he came into her bar with her brother a year ago. And she has been building the courage to ask him to pop her cherry😳 So maybe this trip to Hawaii could be a fling between them and their friendship would still be intact and no bro codes were broken once they go back home.

As I said, their story was pretty fast-paced, so these two pretty much caught feelings on their fling trip. And hoped that they could lengthen the fling to more than 48 hours. I really enjoyed their story. I loved the chemistry and the banter between them. They're fun to read.

I am pretty much trash for every trope in the book other than the virgin thing. I must admit, though, that the virginity thing wasn't treated in the typical way. It was a rather small aspect of the story, and was never made into a big deal. So, that was sort of refreshing. I thought Sierra and Chance were precious. They slowly fell for each other without even noticing, and I was able to buy into the timeframe of their romance because of that. Vegas and a wedding in Hawaii added to the fun, andI loved that all the menfolk shared their feelings and talked things out.

This was the best friends to lovers fake romance I’ve read since I can remember. Chance is one hot and sexy baseball superstar pitcher whose ex wife did one heck of a number on. He’s a real man who was faithful and all you could want in a husband. So, when he has to go to his cousins wedding where his ex is not only attending, but a bridesmaid, he needs a fake date. In comes Sierra, his teammates sister, who is the perfect solution. She’s off limits, so what could happen? You’ve got to read and see because these two are so perfect and watching them call a replay on the rules is so fun, delicious and sweet!

I love everything Lauren Blakely, and The Virgin Replay is up there with her best, add in the fact that her audios really are THE best, (and it just so happened that I listened to the audio version of this story), with Teddy Hamilton - yummy, and Vanessa Edwin, two of my favourites, meant that this book was a real win for me. It had all the romance, all the friendships, the emotional drama, and of course the sexy time. I love a fake romance, oh and let’s also not forget the baseball angle, and the team-mates sister forbidden angle, and the bro-code aspect. All my favourites, and just to truly get my juices going, we’ve added a whole bunch of my favourite characters from previous books in the mix. I was blown away. A fun and highly enjoyable romance. In true ‘gift that keeps giving’ style there was a fun epilogue narrated by Aaron Sherlock, add in a couple of sneak previews with some of my favourite narrators, and I was in audio heaven. Lauren Blakely really is the Queen of Audio.

This was extremely fast paced. Honestly too fast I was like wait hold up a beat. I felt like everything was just too rushed to be real. Don’t get me wrong, the spice was definitely there. They were a cute couple, but it was just a little cringey lol
