Born in Fukui, Japan in 1977, Masakazu Ishiguro (Japanese name: 石黒正数) is an award-winning comic artist who made his debut in 2000 with the Afternoon Magazine Four Seasons Award winning short "HERO".

While Ishiguro initially cut his teeth within the science-fiction realm he is possibly best known for his comedies; particularly the Japan Media Arts Award winning And Yet the Town Moves (Shonen Gahosha). Whismical, stylish and often surreal, Ishiguro's works are often put into their own SF genre (slightly fantastical).

Me ha gustado mucho cómo ha estado llevada esta parte en el manga, dan más detalles y aunque alguna escenografía me gustó más en el anime, me parece muy bien llevado aquí.

POPKULTUROWY KOCIOŁEK: Piąta odsłona to nowa dawka mocnych wrażeń i kolejna porcja odkrytych fabularnych tajemnic. Maru i Kiruko podążają tu za tajemniczym symbolem, który prowadzi ich do Instytutu Szkoły Takahara. W tym samym czasie w szkole Aoshima awansuje na zastępcę dyrektora, Tokio odkrywa zaś, że jego ciało się zmienia. Szkoła wchodzi w stan wyjątkowy, a uczniowie i dorośli muszą zmierzyć się z nowymi wyzwaniami.

Złudne niebo tom 5 kolejny raz rozwija wątki obu światów jednocześnie, ale robi to w sposób spójny i płynny. Maru i Kiruko spotykają Jûichiego, który staje się ich sojusznikiem w walce z przerażającymi potworami. Ta interakcja otwiera nowe tropy i pozwala zgłębić nowe warstwy historii, wprowadzając element niepewności i napięcia. W wątku szkolnym twórca obok kilku zaskakujących wydarzeń wprowadza zaś refleksję na temat presji społecznej i wychowawczej, co dodaje głębi postaciom.

Manga kolejny raz ukazuje rozwój relacji między Maru i Kiruko. Ich więź jest silna, a wspólne przygody dodają historii odrobinę humoru i ciepła. Jednocześnie opowieść utrzymuje mroczny ton, zwłaszcza w konfrontacjach z hiruko i zagrożeniami w postapokaliptycznym świecie....

The 5th volume! Mostly focussing on the Walled City and what Kiruko/Maru find there along with a teary reunion for Juuichi. Plus, some secrets are uncovered and we see that Kiruko may have found Robin... and I don't like the the fact that he is around and chapter 32 is coming. I do love that people in this town are trying to make things better/trying to get some civilization back, just like with that race track part. I am happy that Kiruko/Maru now have a car. Don't get me wrong, I am happy to see them explore through walking, but Japan is big and they have a lot of plans, a car can be handy.
And of course we see the faculty where things are getting set in motion. Tokio's child is born. New kids appear. That woman now has clearance and is dedicated to finding out the truth, and I wonder if she will team up with that other guy. One of the new kids has some scary powers... which seem to predict the future given some hints we already got! PHEW! What a volume! Just a few differences with what we already saw in the anime.

I am going to continue. Need to take a break anyway, so why not read another volume.. even if it is the infamous 32.

That disgusting face on the last page will haunt me. Fkin jump scare.

There are still moments that I liked.
I like that we are finally using car. Maru in a wig. Maru wrapping a sleeping bag around freezing Kiruko. Her with the baby was cute as hell. Them saying goodbye and then not being able to ride off. Them naming the car. Maru being sick from the car ride. Him noticing she is nervous when she is rambling.

I hated the boob grabbing. It felt very fanservic-y. The only good thing that came out of it was Kiruko asking "Who is whose woman?" while blushing and Maru stammering over an apology.

The whole thing with the female suprematists was really weird. Idk what that was about, it lead nowhere, just a little side story I guess. The action as a whole made me really bored because the hunting of man-eaters it's becoming repetitive.
And then the plotline with the children in the past, it is getting more and more boring. More children were added. I don't care. And Maru was born.

Wish I could give 3.5s on here. It's a quick and enjoyable read but a bit more of an in-between volume. And it's hard for me to imagine how a new reader would feel reading this because I already know what's coming and I'm dreading it. Makes every hopeful chapter towards the end of this so painful.

Reseña manga: Heavenly Delusion, de Masakazu Ishiguro!

🎒Hoy os traigo una serie manga que ya os he recomendado anteriormente en alguna ocasión, pero es que mola mucho: Heavenly Delusion!

🥾En esta serie nos encontramos una historia de lo más inusual, por un lado tenemos una trama de lo más misteriosa:
Un grupo de niños viven encerrados en una institución, aislados del mundo y con una tecnología bastante avanzada y habilidades especiales.
Y por otro lado tenemos la historia de dos jóvenes que recorren un mundo postapocalíptico donde hay monstruos que devoran personas, ciudades en ruina y un ambiente de lo más caótico.

🔫Solo con esto ya logró llamarme la atención, la verdad que me dio una corazonada y acerté totalmente. Heavenly Delusion se ha convertido en una de mis series confort!

🚧En cuanto a los pilares principales:

📰La trama es muy buena, te va dando información a cuentagotas y no dejan de aparecer misterios y secretos a medida que avanzamos. Además engancha bastante!

🤖Los personajes están muy bien hechos, sobre todo la parte de los jóvenes que están en el mundo distópico, es a los que más conoceremos y no solo son muy completos sino que encajan muy bien en la historia.

🏚️Y por último el worldbuilding: el mundo en ruinas, la institución, la tecnología e incluso los dones molan mucho. Queda por descubrir demasiado aún tras cinco tomos pero por ahora lo que nos ha mostrado está genial!

🔦Por cierto el dibujo es muy original, incluso si no os llama de primera os recomiendo que le deis una oportunidad ya que cada tomo tiene un nivel muy bueno que no decae en ningún momento!

🧫Os la recomiendo si os gustan las historias postapocalípticas o distópicas, las novelas con muchos secretos o si buscáis algo muy original para leer!
