There's a reason lying is a sin. To be clear, Trevor Maxwell is NOT my fiance. He is a lip-biting hot, party-hard billionaire, and we shared one scorching-hot night. But then I told one little, tiny lie... and everything spiraled out of control.
I swore falling into bed with Trevor was a one-time thing. A moment of weakness never to be had again. Then I bumped into my evil ex-roomie, and it popped out of my mouth. I am engaged to a billionaire. I'm marrying Trevor Maxwell.
I took a perfectly under-control situation, soaked it in gasoline, and lit it on fire. Trevor stunned me by agreeing to play along. He played the role perfectly. A little too well based on the tingle attack I get whenever he’s around.
Now I’m lying to everyone I love while developing real feelings for my fake fiance. I know that this madness has to end. Our lie can’t go on forever, but my feelings for an eternal bachelor might.
Received as an ARC and leaving my honest review. This is a standalone book in the series so you'll see earlier characters appearing in the story.
Trevor is the playboy in the family so his family doesn't expect him to settle down anytime soon and with his feelings of rejection from Claire who chose to be with Noah (his big brother), he feels dejected, pain and loss as he feels his family doesn't take him seriously. He runs off to Atlanta to lick his wounds and bumps into Makenna, who's best friends with his sis-in-law Brittany and the 2 spend a drunken night together.
What should have been a one-off forgotten drunken night becomes impossible when they each need the other's help by pretending to be in a relationship. When fake starts to become real feelings, are both willing to let their guard down to take a chance and find their HEA?
I always love reading about a reformed bad boy/ playboy finding the one who is the opposite of what they were looking for and risking it all and having such a sassy female lead is always a perfect match. Loved the sweet, low-angst, fast-paced steamy romantic read!
Gobsmacked when what was supposed to be fake is absolute reality Faking It With The Billionaire (Tycoons of Timberton Book 3) by Jenn Sable is a sweet and sexy romance with wonderful characters that were very easy to like. Makenna and Trevor seem to be opposites, but they do have things in common. Their fake relationship has innocent beginnings that quickly spiral into more and becomes complicated, but a real friendship develops which finds these two in what most would think an unlikely pairing. The plot that begins simply evolves into something quite complicated as more people learn about and believe their faking is real. The real complication is that both begin to feel things are more real than fake which begets fear and running away. Overall, this fake romance is high on the romance even though it’s meant to be fake. The reality is that they are perfect for each other and only needed the opportunity to see how wonderful each of them are. Despite the fear and low opinions, Trevor wins the day when he wins Makenna’s heart for their much deserved HEA. Trevor Maxwell has the typical middle child syndrome of feeling left out, not feeling appreciated, acting out of bounds, and so forth but when Noah takes Claire, whom he considers his girl that was the last straw. Trevor leaves town for a while going to Atlanta while there he runs into Chase's wife best friend, Makenna. They ended up going out on the town drinking a little to much and spending the night together. Makenna thought it would be that one time until she got caught by an old college friend on the way out of the hotel. Then she and Trevor made an agreement that would snowball on both of them. Neither one was expecting the chemistry that they had and the more they were together the stronger it became. McKenna had a calming influence on Trevor making him a much better man. Everyone noticed the difference in Trevor after she started being in his life. It started out fake to help each other out of a jam but then it started to feel a little to real. Enjoy this wonderful story as Trevor and McKenna discover their happily ever after.

Acknowledging Their Destiny - Trevor was fed up with the label his family had attached to him as the playboy drunk and troublemaker, so he was looking for a way to overcome it. Makenna still hadn’t fully recovered from her last relationship breakup, so she was weary of entering into a new one. Their agreement was meant to be temporary to help revamp their lives, but what they forgot to take into account whilst spending time together, was that feelings cannot be controlled. Their chemistry is palpable and evident to everyone around them, but their insecurities and jealous naysayers nearly cost them their happiness.
This was a really enjoyable book, with great characters, lots of humour, romance and drama. I have read books one and two in the Tycoons of Timberton series and I can definitely say that book three didn’t disappoint. I am happy to recommend this book to any avid romance reader.

His brother is married to her best friend, so they’ve spent time together but neither really likes the other. However, after a drunken together, Makenna runs into the wife of her ex and claims to be engaged to Trevor. Trevor needs a golf partner and figures Makenna will do nicely, so he agrees to pose as her fiancé. Then Trevor feels the pressure of his family and claims that he and Makenna are happily dating. As their friendship grows so do the lies they tell to keep their fake relationships going. Eventually the lies don’t seem as crazy any more.
Book three in the Tycoons of Timberton series is my favorite so far. It’s a fun take on the fake relationship trope, having two fake relationships going on with the same couple. Both characters have journeys of self-discovery and while you know they end up together, it’s a humorous path they take to get that HEA.
4.5 Stars - Underneath Trevor's playboy exterior hid hurt feelings that kept being misjudged even by his family. We saw a softer side of him in this one and Makenna was instrumental in helping him be ok with that. But even with all the mushy stuff coming to the surface, let's face it. Trevor is STILL Trevor, OK??!! Small town living at it's best with misery loving company and mean-girl antics. Diane just made me want to do not so nice things to her - not sorry!! This one has some spicy language to go along with the other spicyness. Prepare to laugh out loud, or softly if you are not in the appropriate place for loud laughter. His mother lost some cool points for some of the things she said and did...rich people problems...

I read Trevor and Makenna’s story almost a year ago and throughly enjoyed their relationship dynamic, so much so that a year later I’m able to recall their story and finally write a review. (I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily sharing my review, be it incredibly delayed.)
This is the third book in the Tycoons of Timberton series and can be read as a stand-alone. The story is a fun, easy read with a classic fake relationship trope. Both Makenna and Trevor have their own fair share of baggage and family drama that they work through. There’s plenty of humor, real feelings that develop, and appearances from characters that you meet in the first two books. If you’re looking for a fun easy reading experience, with a guaranteed HEA, you should give this one a chance!
Makenna and Trevor. After the first book in this series I thought they would be good together. After the second I thought it would be Toni for him. Hmmm… I am glad that I was right after the first, lol. So Tony stays free for eventually one of the younger brothers..and Makenna has her HEA with Trevor. I simply like all the characters in this books and am not happy that I have to wait until next year for the next installment . But the good thing is…Brittany has her Chase, Claire her Noah and Makenna her Trevor. And hopefully we’ll get to have to attend two weddings in early 22! Enjoy your read and the profound changes Trevor makes!

This is the third installment of the Tycoons of Timberton series that follows the Maxwell brothers, but it's a standalone, so no worries if you didn't read the first two books (I do recommend it because they're fun). Trevor is the playboy, his family doesn't take him seriously, Makenna is troubled by a friend who married her ex and now rubs it in her face every time she gets. They spend a drunken night together, they realize they need eachother's help by pretending to be in a relationship. Fake feelings become real ones. There is plenty of drama, humor and steamy moments. This was my favorite of the series so far, so yes I do recommend this read wholeheartedly! I received a free ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
What can I say other then we have another gem by Jenn Sable in the Tycoons of Timberton series. Trevor the middle son of five sons and a bit of a player is down and doesn't understand why his family does not appreciate him for who he is. His mother always ignores him in conversations about her sons getting married, like he will never settle down. Then Trevor runs into Makenna, she needs a fake fiancée. Trevor finds out he needs a fake girlfriend. Is this all that their relationship will be, fake or will they find out that they are more to each other? I loved this book and could not put it down. Ms. Sable's third book of this series was as great of the first two.

'Faking It With The Billionaire' by Jenn Sable is the third book in her Tycoons of Timberton series and tells the story of Trevor, the middle Maxwell brother, and McKenna, best friends with his sister-in-law. They run into each other in Atlanta and spend a passionate night together. They both agree what happens in Atlanta, stays in Atlanta. Or does it?
Ms. Sable has written a fab addition to her series. The characters are likable, both have strong personalities, there is humour, passion, and meddling brothers. The story is great and totally captivating. I enjoyed this book and I recommend it to anyone who likes a fast paced romance.

I really enjoyed reading, Faking it with the Billionaire by Jenn Sable because it was such a great story about Trevor and Makenna. They had to have a fake relationship due to a school rival of Makenna's. Their chemistry was hot and steamy and soon the lines between fake and real were being blurred. I love reading about fake relationships because the feelings are always real. There was a bit of drama throughout the story, but this was a a great read. I would highly recommend reading this story and the series about the brothers.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this as an ARC Trevor and Makenna just click. Both have been made to feel less than the people who should have built them up. The circumstances that begin their fake relationship is the catalyst that begins their story. I loved the growth their characters went through as they discovered not only who they were, but what they truly wanted in life. I found myself chuckling more often than not and wanting to verbally lash the prominent people who added the weight to their shoulders and kicks to their self-worth. Jenn Sable is a master at pulling me into her stories!
Another Maxwell brother finds his HEA. This time it's Trevor's turn. He's the overlooked middle child. The family doesn't expect much from him and it's finally starting to bother him. Makenna is Trevor's sister-in-law's best friend so they know each other but not very well. When they need each other to pretend to be their partner they certainly get to know each other better! This is a really cute, sweet romance with some HOT scenes too. Am really enjoying this series and am looking forward to the other brother's stories. Whether it's an ex who preferred his brother, or wanting to save face in front of the woman who married her ex, Trevor and Makenna find solace in each other's arms for just one night. But one night is not enough and they embark on a fake relationship. Trevor needs a golf partner and Mackenna fits the bill. That's not all she fits and they can't seem to get enough of one another. Happily dating or fake engaged...their feelings grow and they don't have to fake anything anymore. This is a delightful story and it's sweet in the way that Trevor and Makenna help each other become their authentic selves.
This us a beautifully written, heart-warming romance. As the series continues, we finally get to enjoy Trevor find love. Jenn Sable allows us to experience Trevor's inner thoughts and see his vulnerability. Both Trevor and Makenna feel lonely and misunderstood. One thing they don't have to fake is their chemistry in the bedroom! Their story is endearing and romantic and I look forward to reading the rest if the series.

This book is a wonderful fake fiancée romance between Trevor, a bad boy player billionaire, and McKenna, his sister-in-laws best friend. When he travels to Atlanta he runs into her. After drinking a fair amount they decide to spend the night together as a one time event. As McKenna is leaving the hotel she runs into a college friend and explains she is engaged to Trevor who goes along with her lie. This is such a fantastic book with amazing characters and an enjoyable storyline.

I really enjoyed every single page of Faking it with the Billionaire and it’s my favorite in this series so far. Trevor and Mackenna had such a wonderful connection and I loved how they start off as friends and then it leads to so much more. There’s plenty of drama, humor, and steamy moments, that kept me hooked and turning the pages. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Another great story! While Trevor comes off as a playboy and arrogant Jenn did a fantastic job of showing the real man underneath. The writing really made me feel for him and want to have a few choice words with everyone in the Maxwell family. I was especially disappointed in Mrs. Maxwell and her attitude toward her son!!
I loved watching these two get through their trials together and laughed quite a bit about some of situations they found themselves in.
Jenn Sable, you have outdone yourself with this third book of the series! I don't normally get emotional about a book; but, this story really struck a chord with me. The proverbial middle child and the girl from the wrong side of the tracks came together so well that I had tears in my eyes at times. 2022 won't come soon enough for the remaining two books.

Trevor is trying to come to terms that his brother took his want-to-be future wife. Makeena needs a fake fiance and fast. Helping each other out is the plan, but does it turn to something else. I love the Maxwell Brothers. They enjoy having a good time , but are series when needed and family comes first. Trevor and Makenna agree for differing reasons to pretend to be in a relationship, they've known each other for a long time, but never really got on, but the more time they spend in each other's company the more the lines between fake and real begin to blur. The chemistry between these two is undeniable, there is just so much heat!
Their story is fun and has some drama and angst too as they both make a journey of self-discovery. On the. whole it's an enjoyable read.
If you read this series then you know that Trevor is an interesting character. We get his story and it was great to get to know the real him . When he hooks up with his sister in laws bestie McKenna what was supposed to be one night turns into a mutually beneficial fake relationship. I loved that both people benefited and there was no power exchange. Such a great transition from fake to real in this story.

The author has given us a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Trevor and Makenna and does not let go. When Makenna claims to be engaged to Trevor, he has his own reasons for agreeing to the farce of an engagement. But what will happen when true feelings become involved.

This was a great book, I really enjoyed the storyline and the chemistry between Trevor and Mckenna was so hot, from the very start to the very end. This was a story about 2 people who were burned by a previous relationship and was using that to stay away from each other. But HEA's are always stronger than the most stubborn people.
I loved Trevor and Makenna’s story. Your fake relationship turned into real. The story was cute and fun. I really liked watching both of them grow their connection through learning not only about each other, but about themselves. Amazing job Jenn!

3rd book in the Tycoons of Timberton Series. Even if Makenna and Trevor seem to be opposites they do have some things in common. What starts out as a fake relationship eventually turns into a real one. Great read with great characters.

Jenn Sable’s third installment to her Tycoons of Timberton, Faking it with the Billionaire, is another sweet read with a HEA. Fall in love with Trevor and Makenna, whose relationship started with a drunken night that eventually leads to wonderful complications.
Another five stars for Jenn Sable!

I am so happy to see that Trevor has finally grown up. This is a great story for him and Makenna. Even though they are from completely different backgrounds, they can find real happiness with each other. They both finally find what they have been dreaming about. Love the HEA ending!!!
