Catorce volúmenes después, y Paru Itagaki sigue siendo capaz de sorprenderme tanto como de asustarme con este culebrón furro llamado Beastars. Este catorceavo tankôbon comienza con el misterioso final del anterior, cuando Legoshi recibe una carta remitida por el Beastar actual Yahya. Pero, ya lo adelanto, no es todo trigo limpio detrás del actual defensor de la justicia en el universo de Beastars…

Un volumen con dos momentos de alto impacto, así como un final que genera grandes expectativas hacia este nuevo tramo de la serie. A su vez, Itagaki parece retomar la relación de Legoshi y Haru, en un nuevo giro de tuerca en su compleja relación. Sin embargo, el foco aquí se lo lleva Yahya. El Beastar actual ha encontrado un antagonista a la altura y la cosa… promete. Ah sí, y encima se llama Melón XD

Wow what a volume! I feel like this volume gives us a very different look at the world that we are in. Getting to know our horse fellow here lead to a shocking reveal. I know that not everyone is going to love the direction from here, but man I am invested. We also got to catch up with some of our Cherryton Academy favorites, including Haru!

Having confronted Louis last volume, this time Legoshi, the wolf, and Haru, the rabbit, meet for the first time in volumes and try to hash out how they feel about each other after all that has occurred. As often happens in this series about a predator with a crush on his prey, things get very . . . weird . . . as the resulting conversation finds them in one of the most inappropriate places possible.

Finally, a reunion between Legoshi and Haru - and a date! Loved seeing how Haru was doing post-Cherryton as well (and that scene between her friend Ako and Airdo the lion was messed up). Her reaction to Legoshi's angstiness was great. Also got to see Yafya's dark side... I thought the "corners" for various animals was a great idea, especially the "Give and Take" aka Fetch corner for Legoshi, Jack & Co. at B-Strike - made me laugh.

I enjoyed this volume a lot more than I've been enjoying a lot of the other recent ones, probably because it got back to the discussion of interspecies relationships, carnivores' hunger, and Haru and Legoshi. We also got to see waaaaay more Haru so that was a huge bonus.

Another great volume. Yahya is a really interesting character because while he is the Beastar, he also has this grudge on Gosha which he seems to intend on taking out on Legoshi. Him having his mice tell him that Haru is his biggest weakness makes me wonder if Yahya would try to hurt Haru to get at Legoshi. It’s also wild to see that Yahya is actually turning the beasts he captures into fertilizer for his own food, turns out this shining Beastar is actually pretty corrupt.

Speaking of Haru, I think this must be the most we’ve seen her in a single volume in quite a while. I’ve never been the biggest fan of Haru, but I didn’t mind her this volume. I was however very happy to see Jack and all our other canine friends from Cherryton! It’s nice to see that Jack and the others still care about being Legoshi’s friend, even if they aren’t in the academy together anymore.

Was hyped to finally see Melon!! (Another strange name lol) I’m assuming he’s the new big bad guy since he’s on the cover of two volumes. Its a very neat idea to have a villain who is a mixed species of both herbivore and carnivore. His introduction was chilling, I really look forward to seeing more of him.

This is an AMAZING volume. A lot of different events and scenarios happen and it is a never-ending rush of excitement.

Legoshi meets the BEASTAR, but he doesn't know the connection of why he was summoned. He also make an interesting sacrifice. There's a glimpse of Haru's college life. Haru and Legoishi go in a date, of sorts, and much is revealed about what Legoshi has been up to since leaving high school. Legoshi spends time with his friends before they begin their busy senior year. And an interesting hybrid animal is revealed (like how Legoshi is not only wolf, but something else). These hybrids are meant to be rare or implausible even, but they do happen, though Legoshi didn't inherit any outward aspects from his grandfather...

What a great volume! Only a few more to go and the series is over. How will it end? I can't wait to read the next installment in this series, especially if the pacing is anything like this volume.

- Legoshi with the canidaes at room 701 (so cute)
- Legoshi and Yahya (I hear trouble coming... and there goes Legoshi, acting crazy again... ouch!)
- Legoshi and Haru... lots of Haru, finally!

Also, we get to know more details about the structure of this animal society, and a grand finale introducing Melon.

Another good volume - very sweet! I am so glad to see Haru and Legoshi interacting again! I love their relationship and the way they are growing it at their own pace. Legoshi building his identity is really interesting to watch.
