Lanier is a FBI agent that came to her hometown of New Orleans to work the case of women being strangled. She has personal ties to the case because of a family member that may have been a victim over 20 years ago.
The recent cases are being investigated by Detective Daniel Jordan and another Detective. They want to find out if the killer is tied to the unsolved Oder cases from years ago. Perhaps the perpetrator is back since the cases are similar.
As Detective Jordan and Lanier works close together the physical attraction to each other gets stronger. Detective Jordan is trying not to fall for Lanier because of having a relationship with working with someone in his past had consequences and he doesn’t want to repeat them.
This is the first time writing a murder mystery and I must say she did an excellent job in creating the characters and storyline. It draws you right in from the beginning trying to figure out who committed the crimes.
There Were a lot of plot twist and turns and when I was convinced I knew who the killer was only to find out it was someone else I didn’t even suspected of committing the crimes.
I look forward to reading more books in this genre by the author. I highly recommend this book to read especially if you like mystery and suspense with some romance storylines.

Young women are turning up dead in New Orleans and FBI Special Agent Lanier Barrow is determined to find the person responsible…for more reasons than one. What she didn't anticipate is falling for a local detective. While working on the case, Daniel Jordan found himself falling for Lanier, but something in his past is holding him back.

I went into this book expecting one thing, but was pleasantly surprised by something else. The scenery was so visible, that I imagined going into the office everyday and working the case right along with the characters. I loved everything about this book, and that plot twist at the end…pure genius! My only question is this…"Does every FBI Agent go on assignment with such nice clothes?" I highly recommend this book @jacquelin.thomas, and hope that you enjoy it as much as I did.

I thought this book was ok. Not a lot of suspense, and I figured out who the killers were fairly early on.

Wow. She did it again. This was such a great story, from the flow to the suspense to the shock that I did not see coming by the time I got to the end of the story. I was totally flabbergasted. I truly did not see that coming. I'm still reeling in the fact of what I read. The characters and this book in general will stay in my mind for a while. My favorite part was how they reacted to each other. He allowed her to be strong, but also told her in a way that he's not trying to protect her because She's a woman, but because he has feelings for her. That took the cake for me. I loved this story, and I can't wait for the next book in this series.

I received a copy of the book via the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review of my own thoughts and opinions.

Evidence Uncovered a Cold Case inspirational romance by Jacquelin Thomas was a very good book. I was very excited to hear she was releasing a romantic suspense and I was here for every word of it.

Evidence Uncovered takes place in New Orleans where there had been a string of murders and no one who had been convicted of the murders. The Fbi was brought in to help with the Cold Cases of the Murders victims.

This story was very intriguing and loved writhing out out the suspects and who I thought had done it and their motives. There is some OMG moments and twists and turns. I am looking forward to reading her next one Cold Case Deceit .

I enjoyed this story! I would have enjoyed it a bit more if I hadn't figured out who the killer was before the characters in the book did! Still, it's a good book! Lanier Barrow meets Daniel Jordan when goes to New Orleans to work on a case with him. She's an FBI agent, and doesn't disclose until they think the case is closed that her mother was a victim of the Crescent City Strangler. Lanier is drawn to Daniel, but she knows they couldn't work as a couple as he's a Christian, and she's not. Lanier comes to find out that God is real and that He loves her, and realizes that things can work for her and Daniel.

Another great read by Jacquelin Thomas! New Orleans is one of my favorite places in the world to visit so I loved the setting. Ms. Thomas always does a great job at putting the reader right there with the characters. Special Agent Lanier Barrow is there to find out if the notorious Crescent City Strangler has returned when women are being murdered similar to years past. I love a good mystery, though I figured out the twist quite early and I hate when I do that, but it didn’t take away from the suspense. I loved it and I’m looking forward to the next.

It was advertised as a Christian fiction mystery, and it was that. Had a sweet love story that was predictable, but the crime mystery was good!
