In 2019, Toriyama was decorated a Chevalier of the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres for his contributions to the arts.
In October 2024, Toriyama was inducted into the Harvey Awards Hall of Fame.

In diesem Band geht es natürlich zunächst mit dem Turnier weiter, wobei dies nahtlos in die Boo Sage übergeht. Der Wortwitz mit bibedi babedi boo ist mir damals echt entgangen. Die Kämpfe sind viel und alles spitzt sich zu, das Finale naht. Dabei finde ich boo als Gegner gut gelungen, auch wenn er natürlich wie alle Gegner bisher einfach alles platt macht… wobei er ja einfach nur essen will. Wieso seine andere Form auf dem Cover ist weiß ich nicht, immerhin bekommen wir die ja noch nicht zu sehen.
