Rafael Lopez is a helicopter pilot who transports patients in urgent care to hospitals. Arianna Garcia is a emergency room nurse and she wants to be a flight nurse. Rafael hires her to work as his nurse. When he finds out that she lives in a dangerous neighborhood he helps her get another apartment in his building. She’s so happy that she doesn’t have to be afraid ever again. She loves that she has succeeded doing what she wants and can afford it. All her hard work paid off. Thanks to Rafael. They start dating and decide to see where it may go. Rafael had a terrible loss and really doesn’t want a relationship but can’t help himself. Arianna had a horrible loss too. When they life flight a little girl, Arianna’s past raises its ugly head. Maybe she’ll be able to tell Rafael everything. Arianna can’t seem to let the little girl go. Will she be able to help her? Will they let the little girl go into the foster system? Will they get her and make a family together? Rafael never thought he would want that again but Arianna makes him feel things that he hadn’t in a long time. I love this story too. Great characters, even though they had tragedies, they overcome. Love the twist and turns. Worth read

This avid reader likes the unique premise of this series - 95 year old George Winston, the family patriarch birthday’s wishes and game called PLANS. I want you, kids, to have a goal and succeed in life. You need to have PLANS. Pull a card and show us what your plans are to reach your dreams. Rafael Lopez picked RESCUE PLANS. Fitting for a rescue helicopter pilot. Who will he rescue??? Mona Risk’s Rescue Plans is a well-crafted romance, with authentic characters (Captain Rafael Lopez and Arianna Garcia, unexpected plot twists (loss of loved ones, poverty, abuse), and a satisfying 'ah ha' resolution. Contemporary issues are seamlessly woven into the story – grief when losing a loved one, job stress working in urgent care, conquering fear, standing up for oneself and aviation. This Midwesterner enjoyed the Midwest setting. Nice foreshadowing and intrigue. A page turning romance that smolders .

What an awesome book. I just fell in love with Rafael. Really enjoying this series.
Arianna was hiding on the helicopter pad watching Captain Rafael land his helicopter. She was an Emergency Room Nurse and she wanted to be a flight nurse. She had a rough life up until this point and she was hoping to change things.
After she met Rafael and was hired as a Flight Nurse with better pay her life was on an uphill swing. This book was one of those books that most of us, or at least I can, relate to.

Terrific!
Rafael and Arianna have both known loss and heartbreak! This is a sweet, tender, heartbreaking story of their developing relationship and the memories and fears both must overcome! Well written, delightful story of a wonderful couple trying to survive alone but able to find their HEA!
