The impossible has happened. Piper is being kept by the vampire council for 'safety' from the vampire hunters. The Durands are losing their mind from being separated from Piper, but they can not go against the council as they might take it up on Piper. And Piper is in no condition to help herself. So, it is up to the Durands to save the love of their lives from the vampire council's clutches while not letting the vampire hunters know the situation they are stuck in.

The final book starts with Piper held in a room by the Vampire council, bored out of her mind, her only connection to her men is through her human servant bond with Antoine- which allows him to appear in her dreams.
I loved the plot, the way everything transpired. However, I was kinda disappointed with the ending.
Though the ending was a little unsatisfactory, I loved reading this series and enjoyed the story a lot. If you like a why choose, vampire romance with a sassy heroine and infuriatingly likable heroes, then do read the series. It is not a standalone, so you would have to start from the first book - Indebted to the Vampires.

fairly disappointed but overall did love the build up
Sooooooo wanted to love the ending. I’ve been enraptured by this series but the last few books were starting to have me doing my best to hold on. I wasn’t too much of a fan of the 180dymamic where they were all so wrapped up with Piper it was almost like they lost some of their personalities and she became nearly cocky and arrogant. For all the build up for the series and long winded parts that dragged on the ending was so summarized it was like Blink and it was done. Angelica ceased to exist. The two other big bad council members just ceased to exist? The vials of blood just remained irrelevant? The bet all for nothing? The final battle all of a few moments and the focus on what the baby would come out being again becomes irrelevant? And MARCUS???? Poor Marcus was pretty much foreplay that went nowhere even in epilogue. Like from book 7on it just became sporadic in keeping dynamics consistently evolving. The twins. The rush through the entire pregnancy. The quick turnover for the missing memories. The lack of direction for the councils motives and involvement. The list goes on for it being such a lengthy detailed series.

Imprisoned by the Vampires - book 9 and its the last book in this series. Piper (FMC) is now in the hands of The Council (a group of higher level Vampires) which is suppose to be for her protection but in fact its a power play by them. That leaves her right in the middle of The Durants, The Hunters and The Council who all want her in different ways. All of which leads to some great plot twists. It was a fab finale and even though im sad that its ended it was a brilliant way to go out. I just loved it

Imprisonned by the vampire by Erin Bedford is the final book in the House of Durand series. We've been waiting a while for the finale and it's finally here. But like always, saying goodbye is always hard. I have really loved this serie and I am sad to let it go.
Piper have hope that it was finally over with the council, well it was but think got complicated, again. She's pregnant and for her own safety and the baby, she need to stay hidden with three insane vampires before the hunters come to her. The Durand had had enough of those hunters. They want Piper back safe home and won't accept any interferance from there part.
The ending was really really good.

Now THIS is how you do trashy dark romance!! I’m so sad that this series is over. It was so easy to read and I really loved all the characters. I recommend if you want a fun story filled with lots of interesting characters, but do remember that this is absolute perfect filth.

I have such mixed feelings about this finale because I genuinely enjoyed this series, but this was the first book where the fast pacing that had worked so well throughout the series finally worked against it.
The overall story wraps up. The conflict with the vampire council reaches its conclusion, Piper's deal with the hunters comes full circle, and the series ultimately delivers the happy ending it has been building toward. On paper, all the pieces are there.
The problem is how quickly everything happens.
After spending the previous book setting up such an interesting relationship reset and then introducing Piper's pregnancy, I was excited to finally spend time watching these relationships breathe. Instead, Piper spends most of the book imprisoned by the council while the men spend their time trying to rescue her. The rescue finally comes, she goes into labor almost immediately afterward, and before we really get to experience any of that new chapter of their lives... the story jumps ahead five years.
Watching everyone miss Piper is emotionally believable, but after eight books of near-constant separation, rescues, and interruptions, another prolonged separation felt repetitive instead of satisfying. More than anything, I wanted the reward after all those rescues.
The pregnancy, especially, felt like a huge missed opportunity. Not because I wanted more drama, but because it could have given us the quieter moments the series rarely slowed down long enough to explore. I wanted to see the guys pamper her, worry over her, argue over baby preparations, adjust to becoming fathers, and simply exist together as the family they'd spent the entire series fighting to become. Instead, most of her pregnancy happens while she's isolated from everyone she loves, and by the time she's rescued, she's already in labor.
That emotional payoff is what I found myself missing the most.
Even so, I appreciate that Piper completes such a satisfying character arc. She starts the series as a temp maid with no idea vampires even exist and ends it as someone who challenged supernatural institutions, became a vampire hunter, stood up to ancient powers, built a family, and ultimately carved out peace for herself and the people she loves. Her growth is, without question, the strongest character journey in the series.
Looking back on the series as a whole, I also think this is an important distinction: this isn't really a reverse harem that's interested in telling six separate romances. It's an urban fantasy action series where Piper belongs to House Cold, and the household collectively loves Piper.
Darren's relationship receives the deepest development by far, and I absolutely understand why he became my favorite. Antoine also gets meaningful growth because of their shared blood bond and evolving dynamic, while Wynn receives enough development to feel established through their early connection. The twins and Rayne rely much more on chemistry than emotional progression, and I was honestly disappointed that Marcus' relationship with Piper was teased repeatedly without ever receiving the same payoff everyone else did.
As a series, though, this remained consistently entertaining from beginning to end. Every book was easy to binge, the pacing kept me turning pages, the external conflict continually expanded in interesting ways, and I always wanted to know what happened next. I just wish the finale had slowed down enough to let the emotional moments land after spending nine books earning them.
Overall Series Rating: (4.5/5)
Despite my frustrations with the ending, this was such an easy series to binge. If you're looking for a fast-paced urban fantasy with vampires, action, and a reverse harem that never completely overtakes the main story, I'd absolutely recommend giving it a try, especially if you're new to the why choose genre and want something where the romance complements the adventure instead of replacing it.

Piper has been imprisoned by the vampire council until her pregnancy comes to term. They have a midwife from the dark ages tending her. The vampires are not allowed to visit. Her personal phone has been confiscated. None of them know where she has been taken. The only bright spot is that Antoine can visit in her dreams.
There is much anticipation about whether the baby will be human, vampire or an extremely powerful entity created by two blood bonded humans (if Darren is the father)
At one point Darren is allowed to visit and brings vials of each vampire’s blood. Supposedly when she ingests one, that vampire will appear in her dreams. This is never pursued so rather a waste of space. They don’t take them when escaping and I wonder if the hunters will be able to use them in some way.
The vamps and hunters unite to take out the council and rescue Piper. Now, this is only a personal opinion but I would have preferred fewer sex scenes and instead read about each council member's demise. Only one was explained. How did the hunters react to the member who looked like a child? Were all the human servants also killed?
I’m disappointed at how little Wynn has been featured. Piper was in lust with him before meeting the others but their interactions seem few and far between. He comes across as totally laid back and not an active participant in the story for the most part. He’s almost staked in the heart at one point but that is never mentioned again.
The story fast forwards five years and gives a glimpse of the happy household. It is not disclosed if the child has inherited any powers. Then a different “day in the life” is featured but seems to be something that occurs before the five years had passed. Actually it feels like it is happening prior to all the drama and Piper’s pregnancy. Anyway, there is a Halloween novella yet to read but I’m going to set it aside for now.
Overall I liked the books but feel they could have been condensed into fewer volumes.

OVERALL: It's nice to have closure to a good series.
PROS:
1. Was a devoted fan of this series so it's nice to finally have a closing for it.
2. It's nice to have them all back together after all their struggles and reminders of how Piper used to be their clumsy maid and is now their most precious person.
3. The humor is back in this one.
4. Some surprise twists.
5. All great books/series must have an epilogue - thank you, Ms. Bedford!
CONS:
1. Most of this book consisted of everyone just waiting, waiting, waiting. And I was patiently waiting throughout this whole series for Antoine to man up and be the alpha lover and leader that he was primed to be. Alas, it wasn't meant to be.
2. 2 love scenes but felt it was missing the chemistry that was present in the other books - plus, would've liked one where they were all together.
3. The ending battle was anticlimactic and some loose ends. Piper was always tough and strong - I wish the story could've seen this all the way through - especially with her being in her current situation (would've made it all the better)!
4. The author can definitely write angst, humor, action, and chemistry - however, with the number of books in the series drawing out the story, I felt it lost a bit in terms of relationship between the Durands and Piper in favor of a story plot. This means, I didn't feel as emotional/connected as I should've been when they all got back together.

Damn the wrap up was so quick and felt a bit forced to be honest. The epilogue was weird, and I felt like with the pregnancy she shouldn't have been separated from the guys for almost the entire duration of it. It made it hard to feel that emotional connection between Jack and the guys. And then the melon scene? Uhhh ok? Weird.
I did like the characters here, some more than others, and I liked that the series jumped through different problems throughout instead of drawing out one climactic ending with one "bad guy". It made it all flow better this way. One of my favs here was definitely the switch up in the story forcing Piper and Darren together. While it pushed aside all the other guys and came with its own complications it really helped cement their relationship and deviate the story into a whole new place.
The part with her boss was strange and I'm not sure now that even fit into the story, and I'm unsure if Tristan actually ended up a true ally or not. I'm guessing so considering he's "uncle". I liked that Allister had his "betrayal", but that it wasn't pushed too far. Soooo many stories the guys are just all in on the relationship and have complete and utter devotion and tunnel vision to the FMC it was refreshing to see the pov of one of the guys struggling with where he fits in the dynamic and acting out a bit, arguing, and really going through it to finally realize how he truly feels. It made it more real and I definitely give props for that in the writing.
I went back and forth throughout this series a lot. Things I loved and things I could pick apart all day. Was it amazing? No. Did I enjoy myself? Immensely.

So…Piper is “imprisoned” by the vampire council for the time being. I would be all in knots if I was pregnant and not near the people I loved. Let alone the father—I’m hoping it’s Darren—that’s crazy talk! I think the council is suing this as the Durand punishment tbh, but I guess we shall see.
I’m glad that Piper picked Darren to come see her. But she has been “imprisoned” for almost 2 months by the time he was allowed to go see her. Why would you isolate a pregnant woman??? The Durand need to hurry up on their rescue. And the fact that he was only allowed to be there for 24 hours is crazy. Give your prisoner a little bit of hope and then crush it by making that hope leave. WHY?!
Tbh I think that Mizuki actually likes Piper and sees her as a friend. Especially with how she reacted to finding out that the fake Piper was fake.
Agnes turned out to be a true friend. I’m glad that Piper was able to befriend at least one person, but CALEB DID NOT NEED TO KILL HER; ARGH!! I mean he ended up dying by Vincent’s hand but then THAT TWO TIMING BUTTHEAD NOW WANTS HER CHILD?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?! HE IS GOING BACK ON HIS WORD?!!!!! Piper has the worst luck tbh. BUT it seems she’s made an impression on Mizuki because she killed Vincent lol.
EEEKK! It’s a girl! That baby girl will grow up with so much love. I love that her middle name is Agnes. And it is nice to know that Tristan and Mizuki still stay in touch with Piper and her family. However, I did not line the ending. It was very abrupt…

BUT it seems she’s made an impression on Mizuki because she killed Vincent lol.
EEEKK! It’s a girl! That baby girl will grow up with so much love. I love that her middle name is Agnes. And it is nice to know that Tristan and Mizuki still stay in touch with Piper and her family. However, I did not line the ending. It was very abrupt…

I have no idea if I liked this as much as the others or not. Missing a lot of annotations RIP. Did Agnes need to be staked she was so lovely. Mizuki killing Vincent was perfect timing. Giving the girl Agnes as her middle name was really sweet though. And having elections for the vampire council thrown in the end of the story was hilarious.

Imprisoned by The Vampires is the 9th book in the House of Durand series.
I loved reading this one as it had interesting scenes that made me want to join in with the fun... the pages literally pulled me into the story.
Piper: a maid hired on by the Durrand Brothers of which are Vampires. She becomes the head Durand second Human Servant. and then starts working with the Hunters Guild in order to protect those that she loves. At the end of book 8 she finds herself in a precarious situation.. "Pregnant".
so if you love Romance, Vampires, Hunters, battles and beheading.. this book is for you.. but you should start with the very first book.
I loved the ending of the story.. and I hope to see what will happen next

I had to finish the series.
It started off strong, and I was really enjoying the books, but I do feel that the middle and send got sloppy. The books were badly edited, with lots of grammar mistakes and typos, including the names of the main characters!
Allister became Alister and then Allister again (that was on one page!).
Agnes becomes Angus (took me a second to work out this was a typo. I went back a few pages trying to work out who this random Angus person was!).
I don't know if it was a rush from the middle onwards to get published, but it is a shame. I'm no editor and normally don't comment on editing and typos, but it did stand out quite badly towards the end, especially this one.

Really enjoyed this series ❤️🔥
I really enjoyed this series, it was paced really well there weren't any boring or unnecessary parts. I loved Piper as a main character, she's fierce, intelligent and loving, a great female character. Her vampire's are all gorgeous and stand out in their own right, you never get mixed up with who is who and all their interactions are equally hilarious and hot.
My only criticism is that I think the nine books could be organised into three, as each book is only just over 200 pages and it is annoying to keep purchasing them and writing reviews. But would definitely recommend this series to a why choose vampire story lover.

Piper’s story with the Durand vampire family comes to a close here after the bombshell that ended the last book. The Vampire Council is keeping Piper at an unknown location to protect her, while the Durand’s go crazy trying to find her and keep the Hunter’s Guild at bay. As always, necessity makes strange bedfellows but Piper and her men will do whatever they have to do to keep each other and their child safe. I’ve been following this series since the beginning and will miss these characters.

Not sure what else to say since this is book 8 in the series. The chemistry is still there between Piper and the vampiric Durand brothers. I felt like the ending was a bit anticlimactic. There was all kinds of tension and emotion leading up to trying to liberate Piper from her imprisonment with the vampire council (to keep her “safe”) but when it came time for the infiltration and showdown it was a bit “meh.” Apart from that the series continues to entertain and each book is a quick, easy read.

OMG! I’m beyond sad! I don’t think I even have a word for how I feel now that the series is over! I can’t deal. I have loved every single book in this series. I found this author and series by accident by holy shit what a happy accident it has been. I’m gutted. I loved this series and will without a doubt be eagerly looking forward to whatever book comes next.

I’ve read all the books in this series and for the most part enjoyed it. This final chapter left me wanting. Piper found herself imprisoned by the council under the guise of protecting her from the hunters. She’s pregnant and missing her guys. The flow of the story was a bit off for me, with some inconsistencies with how much time had passed. While I’m glad they came together in the end, I found it difficult to really embrace this finally chapter in their story.

Piper is being held by The Council, the hunters want Piper, and the guys are desperate to get her back. Imprisoned By the Vampires is the final book in the House of Durand series and although it's sad to leave Piper and the guys behind I look forward to reading the next great series. Although at times this book felt rushed overall this is a great ending to the series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

This is a satisfying ending to a great series. Piper is being held by the Council, supposedly for her own protection, while her men search frantically for her. The vampire hunters are also looking for her.
The author has created a fully fleshed out world that could easily exist next to ours without a problem, which makes it even more believable.

okay SO. 3.5/5. nothing pissed me off more than vincent trying to force piper to give up her baby. i called him all kinds of names im sure if my mama heard me i would be washing my mouth out with soap.
didn’t expect mizuki and tristan to still be friends with piper but with piper being.. well piper im not surprised.
there were a much of grammar mistakes and sometimes it seems like some phrases were missing but i did enjoy the series overall!

This one is all action- so there’s a kidnapping, or more like a hostage scenario- a lookalike, that causes more trouble than the original. Also Piper makes friends- she’s just that type of person. Oh and the council are creepy and the president of the hunters is crazy. Oh and then there’s Jack.

This is the final book in the series and I’m so sad about it. This is a fantastic series. Piper and the guys are in trouble again. They have the Vampire Council on one side and the Hunter’s on the other. Everyone wants a piece of Piper. The story is action packed and steamy. This is a must read and you’ll enjoy every moment of it.

I can't believe it is over! Piper is a "guest" of the council and the guys are going nuts trying to figure out what to do. It has been so long since the last book that you don't realize just how much you miss the guys until you start reading about them. Poor Rayne on so many levels. Now I am going to go mope.

This final book in the series wrapped things up for Piper and her guys and I am sad to be leaving this world behind! It was a steamy read with some light-hearted moments that made me laugh. I can’t recommend this series enough for anyone who likes reverse harem, vampire lover tropes!.

This was an amazing ending to an amazing series. I have loved this series from start to finish. It was wonderful to watch Piper and her guys grow and then become parents. I am sad to see this series end but it was amazing while it lasted.

I really enjoyed this book. It is a great ending to this book series. Piper and her vampires have to try to figure out how to get Piper out of the councils clutches without getting either of them or Piper killed. I didn't think that they would be able to rescue Piper, I enjoyed the ending very much the way it ended on a happy note. I would recommend this series of books to others.

Wow!!! This book. I couldn't wait to get my hands on it and I wasn't disappointed. I couldn't put it down.
I found myself, at times, on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happened next. I loved the unexpected friendship that Piper forged despite her circumstances.
The fight scenes, the reconnection, the love and the new life - I loved it all!!!

I loved the whole series but due to there being so many books it made it harder and harder to want to continue reading. That being said I liked all the books it was the amount of books for me that made it harder to enjoy it. Maybe if they did 5 books and realigned some things.
