Walaupun Reo sebenarnya berhati lembut, apabila ditimpa bahaya sikapnya berubah menjadi ganas tanpa disedari olehnya sendiri. Entah mengapa, sebelum Reo mencapai umur 18 tahun, nyawanya mula terancam. Apakah kebenaran di sebalik kehidupan Reo?! Inilah buku terakhir!!!
Kyousuke Motomi (最富キョウスケ Motomi Kyōsuke) is a Japanese mangaka whose stories have frequently been published in the monthly Betsucomi magazine. She is most currently working on Dengeki Daisy.
She uses a male pseudonym and draws herself as a man, but she's actually female."If my stories can touch you, make you laugh, forget unhappy things, or even give you that 'good job' feeling, then I'll be super, super happy!" - Kyousuke Motomi
It’s kinda a shame there’s only 2 actual chapters in this volume and the rest is an unrelated story (there was another one in the first volume too). I feel like this story had promise and feels like it was cut a bit too short, I was having fun ! Then it ended :’)
I actually like the fact that it was a 2 volume manga. Short and sweet. Loved the teaching that there’s always a beast inside of us that protects the things we hold dear. What drew me to the manga was the cover. I’m a big fan of cheetah print so I picked it up but what left me drawn to it is just the overall story it teaches you that we always have beast in us.
Ahhh, this was SOOOOOO sweet! I am SO bummed it's only a total of six chapters and a bonus sequel chapter though! *cries*
I mean on the one hand, I think it's the perfect ending for these two, but on the other hand I would have LOVEEEDDDDD to see their romance grow and bloom even fuller. But *sighs* I will very gladly hug my two volumes and reread them regularly. <3
Truly, this story is a fast one, but I deeply enjoyed it. Such a great balance of characters and love some of the really good one liners in this. Made me nod my head in agreement and liked Motomi's commentary after it "ended."
I didn't read the bonus manga included because I just want to soak in the happy feels of this love story. <3 Just so happy with how things ended and just really loved this.
If you are looking for a fairly clean and quick manga to read, I recommend Beast Master to those who like animals/pets and romance! Very much looking forward to rereading these two volumes again!
Yuiko learns of Leo's past and why he was raised in the wild. And when the past forces Leo to make a decision, the two realize their feelings for each other.
Everything was nice...until you find that the volume only has 2 chapters and the rest of it was comprised of a one shot.
Rather than paying for two separate volumes I would prefer the whole manga bundled together instead of making me pay for less of a story than I thought I was getting.
The rest of Beast Master was cute and ended nicely but the fact that not all my money's worth went into this volume makes me feel a little duped.
I do recommend this 2 volume series but wanted to let you know what your money was going to.
I buy all the manga I read/review and don't support scans.
***3 oktober 2024*** ✨5 - loved it (even if it has flaws, this was the story for me) Still so good. Truly the equivalent of a hot bath.
I think this is one of the few series that shows me the intensity teenagers have at that age. The whirlwind of emotions but it keeps it very light-hearted. I like that aspect of it although you can say it is a bit too silly.
***17 februari 2016*** ✨5 - loved it (even if it has flaws, this was the story for me) See my review of volume 1.
I really liked this one. Short and sweet. It could have gone on longer, but I'm glad it didn't. There's only so many times you can have the same thing over-and-over again, and if this had gone on any longer, it would have been repetitive. It ended just right.
That bonus chapter, however, I think should have been considered part of the main story. I think it would've been a nice epilogue rather than a "bonus."
And the end... Such a short and sweet love story! Loved kind Yuiko, innocent beast Leo, ridiculous crybaby Toku -san and other funny characters. Even between some cliches, the love of Leo and Yuiko's shines brightly. They are too cute and make me all happy and warm inside. 4 ☆
I found this book at More Than Words in Boston and immediately bought it because I read this back in high school. The nostalgia was ever present and there are some points in this story that don’t make a whole lot of sense but I still have a sweet spot for it and for Kyousuke Motomi.
Part of a reread project to weed through my manga.
Still super cute, but the outta left field revelations impacted my enjoyment. The story didn't have time to expound on the developments so they occurred, Leo did his crazy eye violence thing and it ended. Leo and Yuiko have the obligatory moment of. "oh no, we'll be separated!" that almost every shoujo I read has. It ended predictably.
As a short manga its cute and is a good intro to Motomi's works (Dengeki Daisy is adorable too).
• Beast master ★ La storia mi è sembrata proprio stupidotta.
The plot was interesting and the characters fit together so well. Thoug the series was really short and I wish that it was longer (>.<) it was good while it lasted.
I have to say Leo's character is so cute, he should have his own collectors items. I swer, I would but it. LOL. I found it so funny how whenever Yuiko holds him in her arms and like strokes his head he falls alseep. It's so hilarious and cute!!! And he loves Yuiko which is great but the funny thing is how he is so childish and clingy and OMG, its so cute. LOL, I sound liek a creep stalker fan. >3<
So, if you've read this series, you know when Leo left and then Yuiko was all sadicle and then Leo was all sadicle? That was really sad? But then he came back so it's aight. Then they kissed, YAY!:D
So overall, the series was amazing and entertaining and cute and hilarious. I recommend EVERYONE read it. AHAHHAHA
♥LEOOOOOOO

Awww.... I wish this series had been more than a volume and a half long! Super sweet - I'm not sure what it is about Motomi-sensei's work but so far it seems that I always end up loving it! I might have to check out more of her work!!
I really liked the short story at the end of this volume too. I totally cried during it! Super sweet and touching with a bit of silliness. Motomi-sensei sure know show to pull at your heart strings!
Highly recommend this if you love cutesy, lovey dovey manga! (or if you love Motomi-sensei's work!)
Beast Master is a pure time that definitely tugged at my heartstrings. This is such a good shojo series and I recommend checking it out on the Viz App for a walk down memory lane.
The extra story, Cactus Summer Surprise, about a boy being possessed by the spirit of a deceased woman was hilarious and the mangaka said she hated it because it was terrible, but I adored it!
Simply darling! <---Hehe, I'm reading a historical fiction and I can't get these damn 'proper' words out of my head.
My only complaint is how short it is. Literally HALF the manga is a completely different short story of another manga the author wrote. A very cute ending, but I wish the author had lengthened the series a bit.
The second and final volume of the Beast Master series by Kyousuke Motomi. As always, the art and dialogue were great and the story was driven to a good conclusion. It was a good ending, perhaps a little too short. I didn't read the other short story that is included in this volume- maybe some other time.
