Blake Karrington is more than an author. He’s a storyteller who places his readers in action-filled moments. It’s in these creative spaces that readers are allowed to get to know his complex characters as if they’re really alive.

Most of Blake’s titles are in the South in urban settings that are often overlooked by the mainstream. But through Blake’s eyes, readers quickly learn that places like Charlotte, NC can be as gritty as they come. It’s in these streets of this oft overlooked world where Blake portrays murderers and thieves alike as believable characters. Without judgement, he weaves humanizing backstories that serve up compelling reasons for why a drug dealer might choose a life of crime.

Readers of speak of the roller coaster ride of emotions that ensues from feeling anger at empathetic characters who always seem to do the wrong thing at the right to keep the story moving forward.

In terms of setting,Blake’s stories introduce his readers to spaces they may or may not be used to - streetscapes with unkept, cracked sidewalks where poverty prevails, times are depressed and people are broke and desperate. In Blake storytelling space, morality is so curved that rooting for bad guys to get away with murder can sometimes seem like the right thing for the reader to do - even when it’s not.

Readers who connect with Blake find him to be relatable. Likening him to a bad-boy gone good, they see a storyteller who writes as if he’s lived in world’s he generously shares, readily conveying his message that humanity is everywhere, especially in the unlikely, mean streets of cities like Charlotte.

Another great book by the one and only Blake Karrington! This continuation was just as good as the first book. He can definitely put out another one with these same characters. I will be checking for it!

What do you do when your career is en pointe but your love life is hell? Who can you talk to and trust? Amanda and Domonique are in this very dilemma in the second book of the Urban Love Series, Who Can I Run To?: A Urban Love Novella Continued, by Blake Karrington. Amanda and Domonique are two, strong women who if anyone has a problem, are there with the answers. That is until it deals with their own life. Amanda has been in the same relationship since high school but Aaron, the man who she thought was the love of her life, is not the man she remembers. He’s holding onto secrets and she’s in denial. Enter Kaiser, the man that is willing to wait and be there for her. He knows her worth. Dominique grew up with a difficult childhood and made sure she wouldn’t have to face the obstacles and difficulties she did when she was younger. She has the talent, the smarts, and the looks but can’t seem to figure out her love life. Karma is willing to make a match.

This isn’t a fantastical romance set in a made-up place but based in New York City. It’s an urban love story that makes flipping the pages and getting to know the characters a journey of romance and betrayal you can relate to. I enjoyed the story and read the book in a day. I liked that each chapter of the book was a different character’s viewpoint and thoughts on the relationships around them. Even though this is the second book of the series, I honestly don’t think you need to read the first one to get into the story. The characters seem real and nothing seems forced or fake. I would love to see this in a tv series.

Check out these characters and dialogue!

Blake Karrington`s Who Can I Run To is a drama based on business and romance in two women`s lives—Amanda, a strong, head-smart business entrepreneur who is consistently worn down by Kaiser despite her relationship (albeit one she doesn`t really want to be in), and her friend Domonique, who is pursued by Karma, a good in money and looks, and much more patient, suitor. Kaiser is a tough guy, a businessman, and until Amanda was more of the Netflix and chill type rather than relationship guy.
This novel is a perfect example of not necessarily having to like characters even when they are well-written. In this case, I think that Kaiser is an incredibly well described and developed character, especially in his dialogue with underlings and Amanda. That said, I do not particularly like his personality or the way he treats people, even though I appreciate the way his relationship with Amanda is portrayed. Not that I agree or disagree with his persistent pursuance habit, but it does make for a round and readable character.
Overall, the dialogue in the book is very realistic, almost to the point it feels like the characters are each written by real, but different, people. I think characters and dialogue are definitely Karrington`s strong points, with plot as a secondary factor.

‘Who Can I Run To’ is written by Karrington and it is a book packed with romance and variation of attachment patterns among characters. It is a continuation of “A Thug Worth Fighting For”. The book starts off with Amanda’s narration and later introduces Domonique, Kaiser and Karma. The plot is based around the lives of two women (Amanda & Domonique), their bond with each other and relationship with men. Both characters are very different from each other in their romantic choices and personal pursuits.

The author highlights a stark contrast between the personalities of Amanda and Domonique. Amanda is experiencing relationship problems with Kaiser and seems like a character that is slightly distressed from the start. However, she is keen on finding answers and makes some questionable decisions along the way. This raw quality of showing the flaws of characters makes it more relatable and enjoyable to read. On the other hand, Domonique is so independent that the reader might see her as standing in her own way, to find love. These human traits of inner fears and weaknesses portrayed through attachment dynamics are what make the book hard to put down. Some of the scenes include intense dialogues that emotionally engage the reader. It is a great book if you want to read about romance, relationships and human flaws.

Who Can I Run To : A Urban Love Novella Continued was a lovely read. This is such a beautiful story and I was eagerly waiting for book 2, since book 1 was really amazing.

It tells the story of two girls. One is called Amanda, who in appearance has the perfect relationship. She has been with her boyfriend for almost ten years, but he is far from being the man she thinks he is. There is also a new man on her life, that demands her attention and she finds herself on a crossroad. The other girl is called Dominique and she puts all her energy in work, but has failed in the relationship area. They both end meeting up, because of a problem caused by one of them.

I think that although the books in this series can be read without reading the previous ones, it is much better if you start with the first book and read them in order. This book was an entertaining rollercoaster of drama, angst, challenges, and surprises. The author’s writing style is fantastic.

I can't wait for book number three! I am thrilled to have found this author to add to my list of favorites!

This was a magnificent read, and another book to add to Blake Karrington’s portfolio. If you have not had the pleasure to indulge in one of his masterpieces, you should!

“Who can I run to” is a slice-of-life romance novella written by Blake Karrington. In this spin-off of “A Thug Worth Fighting For”, we get to read about Amanda and Domonique, two strong and fearless women who struggle with love, each of them in their own way. Amanda is always ready to give advice but when her own relationship is in a crisis, she finds herself lost. Domonique is independent and successful but her past is a burden she has carried for too long. Will Kaiser and Karma be the men these two girls can run to?
If you enjoy realistic urban love stories, “Who can I run to” is the book for you. Short and easily accessible, author Blake Karrington crafts a compelling tale about romance and relationships. This is a character-driven narrative and this makes the story all the more immersive. The characters are well-realized, and the relationships between them are real and thrilling. I found their chemistry captivating and enjoyed every scene that they were in together. There are times when all you want is a laid-back romance that you can breeze through, and “Who can I run to” satisfies that craving.

“Who Can I Run to” is the second book in the Urban Love Series by author Blake Karrington. As the previous work “A Thug worth Fighting for”, this one is a powerful novella that weaves a mesmerizing story of redemption and romance and it is addressed to adults since it contains explicit language.
The writing style of this talented author is consistently incredible and storytelling compelling, the characters are emotionally believable and the plot just strange enough to be incredibly captivating. I’ve become completely invested in the pages. Most of what happened page after page is unpredictable and I like that; I love the surprise factor.
It is a very fascinating masterpiece to read. Another thing I enjoyed about it is the organization of the twenty-four chapters which are divided into the protagonists’ points of view with the corresponding name of each one.
Without any hesitation, I give this excellent piece of work a 5-STAR recommendation because it enthralled me since the very first page.

“Who Can I Run To'' was written by Blake Karrington. It is the second book in “The Urban Love Series”. It is an absorbing novel, I read it in only three nights and that is something very unusual for me but it was amazing down to the last page and I didn’t want it to finish.
This fascinating book tells the story of two girls, one called Amanda, who has always been there for everyone with the best piece of advice, and then we have Domonique who is a self-determined girl that has always been by herself. Their lives come together and from this point nothing will be the same.
One of the best things about this book is the way the author gets the reader to know the characters. He describes them precisely and I felt inside the story as soon as I started it. In fact, I really empathized with Amanda and her story. Also, it is well written because I could imagine what was happening in every part.
To conclude, I would like to recommend this beautifully written novel because I had a great time reading it. It is well worth reading. I give it five deserved stars.

The book ‘Who can I run to: A Urban Love Novella Continued’ by Blake Karrington follows several characters – Amanda, Domonique, Kaiser, and Karma. It revolves mainly around the lives and relationships of the two strong female characters, Amanda and Domonique. They have each faced relationship struggles and they must reflect on their life and decide what they want. Each chapter is narrated by a different character in the first person which is something I really enjoyed. All of the characters are unique and this style of writing allowed me to really understand them, where they were coming from and their connections to each other. Even when I didn’t particularly like some of the characters' traits, Karrington did a great job of describing and developing the characters. The stories were intertwined and it flowed quite well. This book is entertaining and it feels very real and authentic. It is filled with drama, love, and trials and tribulations. It is more of an adult read with mature language. This book was a pretty quick and easy read.

Amazing storytelling

In this action-packed story, we meet Amanda and Domonique as the two female protagonists. Depending on the chapter, the reader gets to walk in the shoes of one of these characters (along with Kaiser and Karma, the male leads). Amanda has been in a relationship for a few years, but her boyfriend is not who he used to be. Domonique is a work-minded woman who has not been able to find love. When these women meet, their lives are forever changed.

Karrington does a very good job of writing the realistic scenarios. The women could be someone I may have met, and I have heard stories of men acting the way Kaiser and Karma do. I was entranced by the story. I found myself going back and forth with the relationships, trying to decide which dynamic I liked better. In the end, I rooted for both women. The men, too, had their issues, and sometimes I related to them just a bit more. I will certainly go back and read the first book to answeer some of the questions I had on story background. Overall, a really great book and one I would recommend.

Blake Karrington's 'Who Can I Run To' is all about love. The main protagonists are Amanda and Domonique and their love life. Amanda is there for anyone who needs love counsel. But she gets confused when affection gets complicated in her life. Domonique is a settled woman having everything. But when it comes to her love life, it's a little bit of a failure.

This book is all about two phases of love. I enjoyed the way the author romanticizes the two women. I adore Domonique over Amanda because Amanda takes herself in pride while Domonique is somewhat simple. Anyway, Amanda slips off in her romance and takes the help of a second person. She is not a stable character as this is apparent at the end of her story. Domonique however waits for the best to happen. Her future will be decided by her past. I like the way the character representation of both is vividly shown in the lines. As from the title of the book, the characters are thinking to whom they can run to solve their issues.

“Who Can I Run To '' is a story of two characters' relationship and how they connect with each other when an external problem caused by one of them comes into their life. They will have to decide whether to stick in the relationship no matter the consequences, or leave before it is too late and consequences catch up with them.
The book has a very dynamic narration and interaction between the main characters that keeps the reader engaged in the story wanting to know more. That happened to me, I wanted to know more about their background and how certain things happened. But overall, it is an entertaining novel, with a lot of condiments in it.

I would like for author Blake Carrington to give more information in the novel, but at the same time that suspense and the need for more information kept me reading and reading.

To sum up, I enjoyed this book's plot and I‘ll definitely be checking more work of this author.

“Who Can I Run To” is the second book in the The Urban Love Series by author Blake Karrington and keeping the same level of fascinating drama as the previous one, it is a great urban fiction.
I have already read other novels by this author and I particularly enjoy his writing style. The chapters are told in the voice of each character and that narrative in the first person allows us to understand the feelings, reactions and thoughts of Amanda, Kaiser, Dominique and Karma, the engaging main characters of this book. I think readers will really empathize with their story, by knowing them from their own words. At the end, the plot is about what we all live at some point: long term relationships, friendship counseling, family troubles and of course, love knocking on our doors.
To sum up, this action-filled novel is perfectly plotted, well-paced and full of surprises. I strongly recommend it, especially to the urban genre lovers.

Who can I run to, by Blake Karrington, is a charming story about the relationship experiences that two different women, Amanda and Domonique have in their lives. In particular, the way they connect with each other. They are two young adults who travel along a process of personal growth and reflection.

I would recommend this book to young women, in particular; but also, I would recommend it to young adults in general; because I think that not just women can feel identified with the story and the thoughts that each character has along the plot, as I did. The plot truly reminds me of many experiences that I had in different relationships in my youth. The dialogues caught my attention from the first pages and kept me intrigued about how the complex situations would outcome. The description and development of each character was what I liked the most. Because of all these reasons, I am giving five out five stars to this beautiful book.

A nice novel to pass the time

Blake Karrington is the talented writer of the novel “Who Can I Run To?”. The title is a spin off of Karrington’s previous work called “A Thug Worth Fighting For”, but it is not necessary to read that book before this one, though it helps to understand the context better.

I liked this romantic novel mainly because of its structure. Each chapter is described from the eyes and mind of a different character, and to me, it was entertaining to enter the different character’s minds and to see how each story is linked.

This book contains cursing and vocabulary for adults. This makes the title really conversational, which made me finish this reader within one week or so. The whole work is believable and highly entertaining, though it did not blow my mind. I felt many could relate to the characters because they were regular people with every-day, relationship problems.

I recommend this book for those who are looking for a pleasurable read.

‘Who can I run to’ by author Blake Karrington is the second book in The Urban Love Series with a
solid theme that weaves two strong female characters’ lives together. On the one hand, we have Amanda and on the other, we have Domonique. Both face a dilemma related to love and relationships, shall they keep on living and acting as they have been throughout their lives or shall they step out of their comfort zone once and for all?
The entire book is written in the first person singular with dialogues that allow the narration to flow naturally. Something I really loved about Karrington’s tale and which I believe has been a great idea is the fact that each chapter bears its name to one particular character since it helps readers connect with every single character and feel closer to what is happening to them.
I honestly can’t tell how much I loved this book; it’s original, it deals with a topic known by all and it’s written in an easy-to-follow manner. I totally recommend reading it!

Enticing, dramatic storyline

Who Can I Run To is the second installment in The Urban Love Series and easily the most enjoyable in my opinion. I could feel a connection to one of the main characters, Amanda, almost immediately while reading. She portrays a mature personality with a sense of reason and responsibility, yet also shows how even those who believe that they have a sound mind can have faults when love is involved. I liked that Domonique was so independent and self-sufficient, which is the type of character that I always feel the most drawn to.
The author presents this story in a way that makes readers want to continue for the storyline while enticing a desire for more of the story. I liked that I felt as if I were part of it while reading and experiencing the emotions as they happened. I would highly recommend this one to any reader who enjoys dramatic reads with emotional pulls.

An enthralling novella
“Who Can I Run To” is an entertaining novella written by Blake Karrington. It is the second book in the series called “The Urban love”. It is fascinating! Blake has penned a story that revolves around two totally different women, Amanda and Domonique. What is interesting about these two characters is the way their lives intertwined and have an effect in them.
It's a great story, with lots of pace, lots of familiar situations, and a little bit of drama. These pages delve into the depth of relationships in general and in the complexity of individuals, as well. I mean, throughout them, I was able to connect to the characters or felt identified with them. That was thanks to the dialogues that are very realistic making it easy to be inside the story. What´s more, there are so many twists in the story that I couldn´t put it down. That´s why I highly recommend it!

Awesome novel for young adults.

The Urban Love Series is written by Blake Karrington, and Who Can I Run To is the second book in the series. It is a spin-off of the first book named A Thug Worth Fighting For and it's not necessary to read it to understand this story but reading both books can help us to understand the storyline more deeply.
It is a story about much more than love or romance. The author develops complex relationships between the characters and how their personal problems affect it. I found it amazing how the author blends drama, love and everyday issues; he turned it into a great book. It could easily be a true story!
Amanda and Domonique are incredible characters, they are powerful and original. The plot is told in the first person, so it is captivating and easier to read. The story engaged me completely. I highly recommend it for young adults who are looking for a good novel.

Most love stories don’t have a linear sequence, and Blake Karrington’s Who can I run to is no different. Following upon the previous book in the series, A Thug Worth Fighting for, we get to see the further development of other characters' romantic lives and endeavors.
An action packed and at times gruesome tale, the storyline is well written and maintains the reader's interest. The division of chapters by point the of view of each character, is a good technique and gives the reader a sense of presence in the story. Karrington is an excellent storyteller, and the only true detriment I found is the number of grammatical errors and character mix-ups. Overall, the mistakes do not outweigh the tight plot and it is a novel well worth a read. I would only add that it is definitely not PG and so it’s good to keep that in mind before venturing into the world of NYC urban romance.

Who Can I Run To: A Urban Love Novella Continued is the book that follows Blake Karrington’s first hit A Thug Worth Fighting For. If you know the author, you’ll quickly fell in love with this second book as well. We follow Amanda and Domonique and how strong and independent women can get so lost when it comes to their love life.
The strength in Blake Karrington’s books always comes from her dialogues. They are real, they are vivid and let you understand the characters’ motivations. Characters are not the most likable ones, but they are not meant to be in here. They are flawed in more ways than one but I still cheer for Domonique’s happiness. It is a well-balanced book, filled with romance but in need of some editor, as there are some misspellings throughout the book, that can be distracting. Some relationships, other than the romantic ones, could also be more on display.

Who Can I Run To is the second book from The Urban Love Series. This story brings the audience 2 women that have their love life a little on the down side of their lives. First, Amanda has always been the go-to person for relationship advice until she realizes her partner is not who she thought. And on the other hand, there is Domonique, an independent woman that works day and night and has a great life but struggles with letting people in, until she unexpectedly meets a guy. Will these fantastic women be able to find real love?
I really enjoyed this book! Is a very entertaining story and has a lot of details in it. The different perspectives in the same situations were entirely fascinating and how the author was able to keep connecting both stories is great. I enjoyed the writing style completely and the story was mellow and exciting all at the same time. Solid read.

"Who Can I Run To: An Urban Love Novella Continued" is the second book in The Urban Love series written by Blake Karrington. In it, author Karrington tells us the story of two strong women who have some relationship problems. Amanda has been in a relationship for more than 10 years, but does she really know her partner? Dominique, has always been independent, can she find the love of her life before it’s too late?
To begin with, this is the second book I've read from the author and I really love his books. The reason is simple: his books have original plots and his writing style is wonderful. What I liked the most about this book is that each of the chapters is oriented to one particular character, and that makes one to know in depth the perspective of each of them. I invite all readers who want to enjoy a book without waste to read this story.

My attention was immediately drawn by its eye-catching title. In fact, it reflects the main conflict of this riveting story. After more than ten years in a love relationship with Aron, Amanda feels her love is no longer returned. With different interests in mind, their long love story is now fragile and there is someone special waiting to be Amanda’s lover. Whereas Amanda is looking for support to make up her mind, her friend Domonique has different aims as love seems not to play an important role in her life. These subplots are entwined, making this book truly engaging. Blake Karrington has included the right amount of drama, romance and suspense. What I like the most about this book is that each chapter is told by different characters, which enabled me to learn more about their intentions and feelings. I am really fond of this second part of the Urban Love stories.

Who can I run to is a Novel written by author Blake Karrington and it is the second instalment in the Urban Love series. Although this is book number two, it can be read as a stand-alone, as I did, but then you will probably want to read the first one too.

This is a middle length book that reads quite fast because of its pace. Characters are very well developed and described; the two main female characters, Amanda and Domonique, are very well portrayed. We can read how different they are but still share some problems.

The development of the plot is very good. I read it almost non-stop. Karrington has a unique writing style; it is as if he speaks to the reader. I really enjoyed that.

For all these reasons, I would definitely recommend reading this novel and I am eager to keep on reading works by this author.

A great second part in the series

Karrington’s writing style is very good; the dialogues and descriptions are certainly one of the best things of this book. This is the second part in the series called “Urban Love”, but although I read the first one, I can say that this can certainly be a stand-alone read. Anyway, my suggestion is to read both because I loved them both.
This novel is not long and the narrative invites you to read at a fast pace, so when I realized, I was just about to finish reading the book. Who can I run to is a novel that has very interesting characters which are completely developed and we, as readers, can feel close to them, as if we know them. Amanda and Domonique and like two sides of the coin; they are very different in character and act very different too, even more when it comes to love life. I really enjoyed reading about them; I felt they faced real-life situations.
All in all, this is a novel I would recommend reading!

Kaleidoscope

Oh My Goodness! That was intense‼️What in the world🤦🏾‍♀️ ⁉️..”Who Can I Run To: A (s/b An) Urban Love Novella Continued (The Urban Love Series - Book 2) was a great read (in spite of the numerous editing errors). Thereafter, for a novella this book was a kaleidoscope of savagery, betrayal & introspection but not too much love 🤷🏾‍♀️. Hmmm🤔⁉️…maybe the prior statement isn’t accurate. Micah & Kelly are definitely soul mates & in love. However, both Kaiser and Karma have/had 🤷🏾‍♀️🤭 mommy issues which effects their interactions with a woman/objectify/personal lives/romantic love. ..Therapy isn’t for everyone. But if Kaiser/Amanda and or Karma/Domonique don’t get help to navigate through all of their traumatic experiences both individually & collectively, I’m darn sure going to need therapy soon 😂🤣🤦🏾‍♀️‼️

Who can I run to

I love the characters in this book. They all had this calm and cool demeanor about them, even the ladies. They way that the relationships developed was crazy as well. Kaiser and Manda were so cute. They both don't take no mess but they still compliment each other. He is a loose cannon but she has a mouth on her as well. I liked how he treated her even when they weren't officially together. Now Karma and Dom definitely had me all tingly because he so cool in the way he shows his feelings for her but he applies pressure for sure. I like how she receives him though. Like man this really is my baby. Loved this story ❤❤❤

Yes loved this must read…

Well let me say this book was off the hook. All the characters had a story of there own. Viv got what she deserved and Aaron too. Karma Kaiser and Micah I’m not sure who is my book bae. Amanda glad she finally stood up. Domonique was happy at last all then ladies deserved happiness. This book had all things we like sexy men, drama, secrets revealed, jealousy, must read.

Kaiser and Karma are bae!!!

Another one for the books! Enjoyed the continuation of the series as the author gave us deeper insights into the brothers Kaiser and Karma. These brothers were rejected by their mother but yet it did not stopped from staking claim to their future, their woman. Everything about them screamed major BDE. I am jealous of Amanda and Dominique and I rejoice with them because whew, Kaiser and Karma are bae.
