When a high flying pet stylist meets low down dirty robbery you know you've got a Curly Bay mystery in the making.
Despite feeling content with how life has changed since moving to Curly Bay, Courtney's days still seem peppered with problems. Not only have mice overrun Curly Bay Pet Hotel and Rescue, her clients are cancelling left, right, and center because they want to enrol the services of a famous pet-stylist setting up shop in the town.
When the starlet's expensive equipment disappears without trace, it's hard to say whose to blame, but the spotlight quickly falls on those with the most to lose.
Can Courtney figure out this furry conundrum before it's too late?
What a cute little cozy mystery that gives the reader quite the intriguing storyline. As the Curly Bay Shelter comes alive once again when a "famous" or should it be "infamous" groomer from Hollywood arrives in town to support her dear friend that is opening up a high end B & B right there in their small community. But things begin to unravel as customers begin to cancel appointments. An enjoyable, easy and very quick read that leaves you smiling as the story ends.
This time, Courtney and the grooming crew gets to meet a person named Zara, a pet groomer of the star's dogs from Hollywood. Nobody gets killed during this adventure, but the groomer is a real piece of work. Friendships are formed, the dogs are adopted, and it all works out in the end. I definitely recommend all the books in this series.
This story had slot to show how shelters really need all the support they can get. Once again this author gave a great short cozy mystery to read well enjoying a lazy afternoon.
I enjoy reading about pet rescue and about the circumstance of how they come about as well as the people who adopt them. They are fun fast reading boooks.
