REVIEW: SUPER BEAST is the second instalment in L Hart’s contemporary, adult MONSTER HUNTER FOR HIRE erotic, paranormal, romance series focusing on Monster Hunter for Hire and Nightclub owner Helena ‘Lena’ Graves.
Told from first person perspective (Lena) SUPER BEAST focuses on the hunt for a killer. A werewolf couple have asked Lena Grave to help locate their son, a young werewolf who has contracted rabies, and is slowly spiralling out of control. Lena, unable to help, finds herself called into the police investigation when not only have humans been targeted but vampires as well, sparking the possibility of a supernatural war on the horizon.
Meanwhile, Lena’s relationship with vampire king Dominick is quickly turning into something more but our heroine is also drawn to her best friend Henry, a werelion shifter, whose destiny as the ‘Rex’ does not include our story line heroine. As Lena makes preparations for her daughter Emery’s eighteenth birthday, the truth about her own heritage is something no one knows, including Lena herself.
MONSTER HUNTER FOR HIRE: SUPER BEAST is another fast paced, action packed story of family, friendships, and relationships; power and desperation, betrayal and lust. The premise is detailed and engaging; the romance is provocative and hot; the characters are powerful and captivating.
Super Beast by L. West a five-star read with bite. This has been a great story, it picked up after Filthy Creatures, but you didn’t need to have read it prior to this story. My goodness just as you get to know Helena Graves, she pulls the rug and you lose your teeth, she keeps you guessing at every turn, and I am so eager to find out what is she truly? Mmmm the mind boggles, and what is her daughter? 18 is a precarious age, and the next instalment can’t come quickly enough as I was so much more detail about Emery as well as a certain Lion shifter as I think he will play a large part in the story, like he plays a large part in life. But it’s a certain King that won me over, he and his little messengers just made me smile so much. This is shaping up so well, the monsters aren’t really monsters, they are just people wanting to enjoy life, but will I still feel that way in the next story? I need it so bad!!!
We have supernatural with a little mystery. Lena is the owner of Devil's Playground, problem is she does not know what she is. But she is really a super bad. She has a daughter that she will not tell her who her father is, but needs to explain somethings to, before she turns 18. Lena fights monsters, but what will she do when a werewolf gets rabies? The Cade a detective would like nothing to do but arrest her? But will he? A vampire wants her, but so does a shifter? Who will win her heart or will none? Will they end with a war or can Lena stop it?

Monster fighter for hire Lena is back in the first full-length story in this new paranormal series.
A rabid werewolf and mysterious vampire murders force the police to call upon Lena for her specialized monster-hunting skills. It's clear that the human authorities don't know how to handle the threat. Lena, with her supernatural speed and strength as well as her specialized training in monster hunting, is the right woman for the job. I love the strength, intelligence and no-nonsense attitude written into Lena's character. It's also amusing to see such a bada$$ have to deal with her teenage daughter's angst and growing pains while trying to manage her own love life and run a business. There's so much about Lena's life that is so incongruously normal in a world populated with a whole host of paranormal characters.
The mystery woven into the story has an unexpected twist, and the story is fast-paced and action-packed. Just a really joyful and engaging paranormal romance/mystery read. If the next story in the series is as good as this one, I can't wait to read it.
Five stars.

Here I go again embark on a journey into the paranormal... It's not my favorite genre but since it's written by two authors that I adore I knew that I had to read it. Her writing is wild and will melt your heart and panties along the way. Super Beast is their latest release and explores Helena's life. Helena hunts monsters, paranormal beings and after one mission she's arrested. There, the police made her an offer that she couldn't refuse. To join them and creating a task force specialized in hunting paranormal beings or end up in jail. Guess what she chooses. This new book is one of her adventures. In this book, she needed to find the super beast responsible for the brutal killings. Can she do it? Well... What a book this was. Only these authors have the ability to make me want to read paranormal and enjoying it. This book was dark with a touch of suspense. The characters worked perfectly and you could feel their pain, their desire. Of course that we had some hot stuff into the mix. Overall it was another freaking awesome book.
I was given an ebook copy of this book through Booksprout in return for an honest review. Monster hunter for hire is about Helena who helps out the local PD when a vampire servant is killed she is also asked by a couple to find their young missing werewolf son. Her personnel life is very complicated with the men in her life as well her daughters interest in finding out who or what her father is whilst planning her 18th birthday and school teachers. Its seems they both have questions about parentage. Power changes and skills within which seem to be ever changing. Who or what is Helena, what's in store for her daughter and her love life. I found this book enjoyable but also very similar traits to other Urban Fantasy books I have read, The book is a series and while you get some answers. It does leave enough unanswered to make you want to get the next book.
Not what I expected at all. Read the blurb, sounded interesting, looked at the cover and thought it was going to be a light funny type book. Nope, wrong. This book is fantastic! Kick ass female lead, love triangle, mystery, sooooo many hot shifter men, I don't know where to turn or who to root for! Helena is working with the police as a supernatural liaison hunter but she also runs her own club and has a daughter who is about to discover her own heritage. The intrigue is great and I can not wait for the second book!

Monster Hunter for Hire: Super Beast is book two in this series, including the prequel novella, Monster Hunter for Hire: Filthy Creatures. With supernatural action, suspense, a mystery, a. couple of twists, romance, and a revelation or two, the story is an engaging page-turner. The characters are compelling and keep you engaged. This book has me more than ready for book three, Monster Hunter for Hire: Power Hungry. I think things will get very interesting between Henry and Lena as if they are not already!

This was a good start to the new series with one action packed storyline. Helena goes on the hunt for a rabid werewolf what has gone on a killing spree. She struggles with being a mother as her daughter comes of age and her powers are about to present themselves while wanting to protect her. There are many twists and shifters that left me wanting the next installment of this series to appear now. Overall, this is a good read that I enjoyed from the start and would recommend to others.
Arc review I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This series is really starting to me another one of my favorites. Helena graves owns the devil's playground club and she's a Monster hunter .she also has a 17 yr old daughter . after the last story now she is also helping the police with supernatural cases which she has two cases to solve. Oh and what till you hear about her love life oh my . 10 stars fabulous.
Helena is a complete b@d@$$! I’m a bit torn. I love Helena with Dom but I also love her with Henry! And the chemistry…wild and explosive!
There were a few things that were unexpected in this book! One left me salivating, another wanting answers, and one which will probably play out in the next book. I can’t wait to see what happens next!!!

I am loving this series. Things have changed dramatically between the end of book one and the end of book two. Lena is having man issues, daughter issues, and case issues. We are finally finding out more about her power (and so is she). The dreams—oh boy! The last conversation in the story with Henry is sad. Their friendship is forever changed. I am getting some Laurell K. Hamilton feels here. I definitely look forward to the next story!
Wow what an amazing story I loved Lena she is one strong woman she doesn’t take crap from anyone and now she is after a werewolf who has caught rabies and is killing people. This story is a bit more violent and I wouldn’t change a thing, it’s an amazing story and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series and I definitely recommend this book.
So this one has really good pacing, not to fast but it doesn’t drag either. It’s also got these amazing characters that are facing real world problems.
This is a story that sweeps you along and captures your attention wish I could give it more stars

Goodness Gracious, I am loving this series!! Lena is such a butt-kicking, tough as can be woman, who’s so much more. Between dealing with her daughter about to turn 18 (can’t wait to see what happens there), her interesting love life, and the shifter world in danger, she has a lot on her plate. But she deals with it all and comes back for more. Loving this!! Can’t wait to see what happens next!!
This is a great series so far and I can’t wait for more. A very strong werewolf with rabies, the police and a monster Hunter. Who will survive? Lena is a bada$$ mom, monster Hunter, friend and something else. Great characters and definitely some surprises all around.

I really liked this story. Reading the prequel would be good but isn't required. The characters and the story are so fresh and different. I was hooked.
Sad, I feel for Henry...but really Henry, mind reading isn't one of her gifts. As for Dom, learn to share! It was a ok read, good smut and stem, good not great.
