Even through my drunken haze, I couldn’t deny how good my stepbrother looked.
Then he leaned down, and before I knew it, his lips were on mine.
He pulled me on top of his sexy body. My hands ran down his chiseled abs, and he let out an animalistic growl. And then, through my desire, I realized…
His hands no longer felt like hands against my back. Instead, I felt padded circles.
Almost like… paws?
When Helen is forced to spend vacation in the boondocks for her mom’s wedding, she isn’t pleased. Not only is there no WiFi, but there’s Sam, her sexy and off-limits stepbrother, who is clearly into her. But the longer she spends with him, the more sure she becomes that her forbidden crush has a grizzly secret.
Update: finished the book. Book 3 was more interesting. So I added a star to me review. But this series might not be completely done, so theres that. Overall the author uses a thousand different and ridiculous ways for Helen to describe Sam's penis. Emma and Luke having that whole ridiculous we're not mates...are we? Then the "mating look" he gives her is as ridiculous as it sounds. Helen also will awkwardly call Sam her sexy stepbrother at random times even after they're married. It just wasn't cute or hot. The original review I did (below) still bothers me a ton though. Just too many errors and annoying writing.
Original review: I'm not done with it yet, but I dont know if I can continue. This book is so ridiculous and full of annoying contradictions. Helen is supposed to be her last semester of college, so that makes her 20 or 21. She has a nemesis Brittany who was her best friend in middle school, according to the story. At her mom's wedding she thinks about how it's been 10 years since her dad died. Then she tells Sam she was 8 when her dad died. That makes no sense in the timeline, shed only be 18 in that case. Then she says Brittany's dad disappeared on the same day her dad died. And then Brittany turned on her. Wait, but you were 8 years old, that's not middle school. So this was annoying that the author doesnt seem to remember what she's writing. Then there's the fact that the story is just so icky. She says she loves Sam after, what a few days insulting him and lusting after him. Then they both declare they're falling for each other and he asks if she wants to be seriously together and she agrees so he bites her. Then when she returns to college she begins to say her thoughts for Sam begin to fade away and now she's excited to have Chris' attention again. Wtf! Besides the fact Chris is a creep and only interested because of the bears which you can already tell by him repeatedly asking about the bears she saw. So stupid and so ridiculous. Who acts like this? Helen is unlikeable. She's so immature. And I dont know if the author thinks partying, drinking, smoking weed, and having a ton of casual sex with as many guys as possible is "cool," but it just makes Helen immature, a flake, and gross.
Surprisingly really cute. Was this AI generated? The plot and character development were thoughtful and sweet. The bad guys were believable. Sex scenes were steamy 🐻🐻🐻🐻.
