Strategy, strategy, strategy. This book required a lot of planning. Every piece of the puzzle had so much history to it. Starting with Aunt Agatha and Prince Albert to Alistair to Kit & Mary this mystery made me want to keep reading. Mostly, I want to know more about Agatha in her younger days. What a woman! I also want to know the true relationship between Alistair and Kit. It is hinted at quite often but never clarified. My favorite book, so far.
This was a good mystery. I was restricted by the fact that I don't gamble and all the restricted Discussion about the card games meant nothing to me, but I'll still read the next one.
Terrific series and this is even better than usual! Read series in order for the most satisfaction and understanding of the people, relationships, and events. Outstanding plot, great story, and spectacular apprehension of the criminals.
A rip roaring adventure in Monaco. Wonderful characters ( that those of us who have read the series love) and a great plot. Lots of humour and very well scribed. What's not to like ? Super sleuth lords and ladies !
Loved it - such an intricate plot am not sure I followed it perfectly but as the 'baddies' all got their just desserts and the 'goodies' won - it didn't really matter. Characterisation great, descriptive narrative excellent - what's not to like.
1921. The Astons are on the finally leg of their honeymoon, arriving in Monte Carlo only to discover Aunt Agatha acting as a dealer in a casino. Prince Albert had asked them to investigate suspicious activity in the casino. But soon their is a death. An entertaining historical mystery
