David Bowie

I've been a Bowie fan since the first time I heard Fame, he was a true original in everything he did. It was sad when he died & I still listen to blackstar. For every music lover and someone who wants to learn about Rick history this book is a must read

I have enjoyed listening to some of David Bowie’s music over the years. The book was an enjoyable read. He was constantly experimenting and reinventing himself. At one time during the glam rock era his stage persona was Ziggy Stardust and years later he was performing and looking great in a suit. His music also underwent changes.

He is one of the best selling musicians of all time and the book captures his journey beautifully. I would have liked to know a little more about his life with Iman.

David Bowie

A singer, performer, and actor, enjoyed his music while growing up and still do to this day. Enjoyed The Man Who Fell To Earth and Labyrinth, with the later being the better of the two, in my opinion.

This book is less than fifty pages, not near long enough for an artist as immense as David Bowie was, but there is a page close to the end for further reading.

Recommended for those that want to learn a brief history of David Bowie and for those that enjoy his music.

The thin, white duke

He had an interesting life. I didn't know that his parents were troubled bohemians. Mental illness ran in the family and possibly led to his father's death, due to neglect. Career wise he was always relevant, for 40 years. He found peace with the love of his life, Iman. He had a good life, overall.

A pretty decent read

A fair overview of David Blair's life and career. Plenty of things not covered and not long enough to cover any subject in detail. Disappointed to find out that the books on Any Winehouse and Kurt Cobain are longer than someone who has such a long and varied history.

3.5/5 🌟

Es una lectura interesante y útil para conocer al gran David Bowie.

La razón por la qué calificó con 3.5 es qué lo encontré más que nada informativo, siento que no hay mucho más de lo que se podrían encontrar luego de una búsqueda superficial en google.

Anyone who appreciates the great music of the 1970s and 1980s will enjoy this short read on David Bowie and how he became a trend setter of glam and of a music genera of synthesized rock. Bowie really re-invented himself to remain a force in rock music through five decades.
