A solid non-fiction about wolves (and other canines) for younger readers, but equally enjoyable for older readers such as myself. It does suffer a bit from being dated (alpha theory) but I don't think this can really be held against the book, which was published when some of these outdated ideas were still prevalent.
One thing I do take issue with is the deceiving cover and title; this book is about wild canines in general, not just wolves. Not a huge deal but the front cover primarily depicting wolves is a bit deceiving when you look at the rest of the book which is about all sorts of canids.
