Callie is the sweetest, with an edge to her that is HILARIOUS!!! Especially with Lawrie.

So happy to be back in Gnarly Fell! I love this world that Andie M Long has created and all the characters she’s introducing us to.
My Vampire Boyfriend Sucks is a laugh out loud hilarious book full of paranormal beings and such funny situations they get themselves into. We met Mya new Queen of the damned in the last book now this is her friend Callies story. Callie has no choice but to pretend to be the girlfriend of the most obnoxious(in her mind) vampire she has ever met. Lawrie the vampire is such a brilliant character, you can’t help but love him.
The Book ends on a laugh out loud hilarious moment and I cannot wait to see what Andie M Long has in store for us next. Five stars from me!

Divertente ed esilarante, fortunatamente questo secondo libro non mi ha deluso!
Se volete un romanzo che vi faccia ridere per le sue situazioni, per le battute irriverenti, (è una storia d’amore un po’ fuori dagli schemi) questo è quello che fa per voi!
Nel secondo volume troviamo:
Callie, fata dei denti, migliore amica di Mya, nonché proprietaria del ”Cupcake cafè” di Gnarly Fell: ragazza che fa dolci da paura, che ama il rosa in maniera spudorata, tanto da essersi anche tinta i capelli di quel colore. È solare, spumeggiante e vorrebbe un giorno trovare il lieto fine, soprattutto ora che la maledizione sulla sua cittadina è stata spezzata. Ogni tanto, quando ha un po’ di tempo libero, accetta qualche appuntamento. Ma vanno tutti a finire male, perché incontra dei colossali cretini.
Lawrie è un vampiro, che si crede “Mr Universo” capace di ammaliare tutte con la sua parlantina o con il suo fascino. Ma non la nostra Callie! Dopo mille richieste, riesce a ottenere un appuntamento con lei, che però va a finire in maniera disastrosa (a causa di una ex di Lawrie). Da quel momento i due non faranno altro che odiarsi e battibeccare in continuazione.
Ma la sfortuna vuole che, a causa di avvenimenti avversi, si ritrovino molto più vicini di quello che vorrebbero. E vi lascio solo immaginare cosa accade quindi tra loro! Le risate e il divertimento la fanno da padroni. Non vi annoierete e una pagina tira l’altra, grazie a gag e provocazioni. Andando avanti nella storia, i due protagonisti comprenderanno anche aspetti importantissimi su loro stessi e sul loro futuro…
Il romanzo mi è piaciuto molto. A volte il linguaggio appare un po’ volgare o spinto, ma personalmente non mi ha dato fastidio (ho letto di peggio). Le scene di sesso non vengono quasi per niente descritte e c’è qualche nudità. Ho amato Lawrie, che da gigolò diventa un perfetto fidanzato, senza però perdere la sua verve. E pure Callie, che non perde occasione per stuzzicarlo sempre. In tutto questo, anche i personaggi secondari hanno il loro perché.
Ve lo consiglio. Mi sono divertita molto a leggerlo e sicuramente continuerò la saga.

Book 2 of the series and I have to say it was just as enjoyable le as book 1. Although it's standalone, I'd suggest reading book 1 first because all the characters hop in and out. Callie and Lawrie are enemies to lovers in this story. They have this love hate relationship going on, but when callie is threatened and her life hangs in the balance the two put aside their differences and work together. Can they get their happy ever after? Well you must read on to find out. If you like a light PNR then this is a book for you.

My Vampire Boyfriend Sucks by Andie M Long a five-star read that is a sweet as the cupcakes Callie makes. This is number two in the Sucking dead series, but even though I would say to read them in order as they do complement each other, at a push they could be read stand alone as they focus on different couples, I have loved numbers one and two and am more exited for number three than I am for Christmas. Callie and Lawrie will make you chuckle, they have fierce words and the line between love and hate really is very thin. What a great story this is, I really enjoyed that we got to know everyone so well, not just Callie and Lawrence but Dela and some of the other customers of the Cupcake café. Now how many days left till Christmas??

We’re back in Gnarly Fell and Mya is starting her job with Death. When the book of death makes a prediction, Mya’s antics get wrapped up in her friend’s lives can we get a new romance in the mist of death?
Callie is fae and runs a cupcake cafe in Gnarly Fell. She’s happy in her life. The residents of the town keep her busy and she loves her work. When Mya predicts her future she’s forced to take a hard look at how to preserve her life.
Lawrie is Mya’s vampire daddy and a bit of a blunderer. He managed to mess up his chance with Callie. After getting summoned by the vampire counsel for turning Mya without permission he’s in need of a wife.
Callie needs a bodyguard and Lawrie needs a fake lady friend… can these two help each other out? Lawrie grew on me as his love for Callie creeped in. This is another fun addition to the series.

My Vampire Boyfriend Sucks rappresenta il secondo libro della serie Sucking Dead, ambientata a Gnarly Fell. Ogni libro può essere letto indipendentemente dagli altri, ma consiglio di rispettare l’ordine di lettura perché nel racconto si ritrovano personaggi dei libri precedenti.
Abbiamo già conosciuto Lawrence (Lawrie) Letvine nel primo libro, dove è responsabile della vampirizzazione di Mya, ora in virtù di quanto fatto, il suo capostipite lo condanna alla punizione di un domicilio coatto presso la ridente cittadina e l’acquisizione in tempi brevi di una consorte.
E quale miglior candidata della fata che si diverte a tormentare? Reduci da un primo ed unico appuntamento disastroso ora non perdono occasione di farsi beffe uno dell’altra.
Una sposa? Una donna che restasse incollata al mio fianco per sempre. In altre parole – dato che i vampiri vivevano per l’eternità – una scheggia di cui non sarei mai riuscito a sbarazzarmi. Una femmina inizialmente splendida, come un maestoso albero, la cui deliziosa forma avrei finito per distruggere con le mie mani, trasformandola con il tempo in un doloroso e fastidioso frammento sottopelle che avrei sentito il disperato bisogno di rimuovere. No, grazie. A Lawrie Letwine piaceva stare da solo.
Callie Francis è una fata, gestisce una fiorente attività di ristorazione che rifornisce Gnarly Fell di deliziosi cupcake, tutto si aspettava dal suo futuro tranne una profezia di morte enunciata niente meno che dalla sua migliore amica. Come nuova Regina della Casa delle Anime Inquiete e nuova compagna della Morte la profezia di Mya pare piuttosto attendibile, al punto da spingere Callie ad accettare l’aiuto di Lawrie
Non poteva stare accadendo sul serio. Se venire a sapere che sarei morta a breve era già brutto, scoprire che sarei stata assassinata era la ciliegina sulla torta. E dover vivere insieme a Lawrence Letwine costituiva la spruzzata di zuccherini sul mio cupcake del sonno eterno.
Per ingannare il capostipite della famiglia Letwine, Lawrie convince Callie a prestarsi ad un finto fidanzamento: lei lo libererà dal vincolo matrimoniale impostogli come punizione e lui in cambio farà del suo meglio per evitare che lei muoia il 24 Dicembre come previsto dalla profezia.
Mi trovavo stretta tra le braccia di Lawrie. Be’, più che altro intrappolata, perché lui insisteva nel volermi fornire quella che doveva essere la sua personale forma di conforto. In realtà mi sentivo come una mosca presa in una ragnatela, che mi si avvolgeva attorno minacciando di spezzarmi le ossa. «P-posso interromperti per chiederti di stringere un po’ meno? O tra poco potrei aver bisogno del reparto ortopedia dell’ospedale.»
La forzata convivenza potrebbe essere un problema tra due esseri soprannaturali che, se da un lato non perdono occasione per discutere dall’altro cercano, con scarsi risultati direi, di tenere a freno l’attrazione reciproca. Le situazioni in cui si cacceranno i due protagonisti, oltre che il loro colorito e continuo insultarsi, daranno vita a momenti assolutamente esilaranti. Questo libro prosegue nell’impresa del primo di rappresentare una lettura leggera, spiritosa e assolutamente di evasione, non ha significati nascosti o messaggi particolari da trasmettere, ma ha il pregio di far trascorrere al lettore un’ora di lettura piacevole.
Nella storia vengono introdotti nuovi personaggi che saranno i protagonisti dei prossimi libri.

My Vampire Boyfriend Sucks è il secondo volume autoconclusivo della serie Sucking dead, ambientata a Gnarly Fell in cui vivono creature soprannaturali e in cui la Morte e la sua ragazza dimorano appena oltre i confini del villaggio.
Ho imparato a conoscere Callie e Lawrie nel primo volume e li ho ritrovati in questo secondo capitolo come protagonisti.
Callie è un bel personaggio, molto dolce, altruista e amante del Natale. Da quando la maledizione che regnava su Gnarly Fall è stata spezzata, spera di trovare qualcuno di cui innamorarsi. E se quel qualcuno fosse proprio Lawrie?
Il personaggio di Lawrie mi ha sorpreso moltissimo, soprattutto perché è ben diverso da come sembra. Anche se il suo comportamento è spesso arrogante e indisponente, impariamo anche a conoscere un lato molto più tenero e romantico e mi è piaciuto tantissimo.
Il loro rapporto non è semplice ma quando entrambi impareranno a cedere ai sentimenti che provano l’uno per l’altro le cose inizieranno a cambiare.
Attraverso il Pov alternato abbiamo la possibilità di conoscere meglio i due protagonisti e quello che pensano/provano l’uno per l’altra. Inoltre, l’autrice ha pensato anche di inserire altri Pov che non solo rendono il libro più completo ma che introduce anche nuove dinamiche che, ne sono certa, verranno approfondite nei prossimi libri.
È stato affascinante assistere all’evoluzione dei sentimenti di Lawrie soprattutto perché, quando si scopre innamorato, diventa un vampiro completamente diverso.
La loro storia è molto romantica e anche divertente con quel piccolo tocco di suspense che rende tutta la vicenda molto appassionante e ricca di mordente.
La trama ha una bella evoluzione e il suo ritmo incalzante rende la lettura molto veloce e coinvolgente, merito anche di un ottimo ritmo narrativo. I dialoghi sono molto corposi e svelano tantissimo del rapporto che unisce Callie a Lawrie. A differenza del primo libro questo appare più corposo e attento all’evoluzione del rapporto che lega i due protagonisti.
Lo stile di scrittura di Andie M. Long mi piace sempre tantissimo; la sua penna è vivace, divertente, romantica e, in questo caso, con quel tocco di suspense che mi ha molto appassionato.

Callie, migliore amica di Mya, protagonista del primo volume, è la proprietaria del Cupcake Café. Ama tutto quello che è rosa, è divertente e solare.
Sta cercando il principe azzurro ma fino ad ora ha solo collezionato appuntamenti fallimentari.
Lawrie è un vampiro e si è invaghito di Callie e riesce a convincerla ad uscire ma il loro appuntamento si rivelerà un disastro.

Le scene hot sono solo accennate e non descritte, lasciando il focus più sui dialoghi davvero divertenti tra i due.
Tornano anche Mia e Morte e vengono introdotti personaggi che ritroveremo nei libri successivi.
E' un autoconclusivo ma meglio leggerli in ordine per avere ben chiaro il quadro generale.

I loved Suck My Life, so decided to stick with the series and follow Mya to book 2. I'm so glad I did because this one features Callie a Fae Fairy and Lawrie a Vampire. Due to Mya's meddling events for the two turn unexpected and we find ourselves in the middle of dodge death. Ironically Death being Mya's boyfriend.
I loved how this story turned out, I really like Callie and her relationship with Lawrie was great to read.
As with the first novel this sets up the characters really well along with the plotline. Mya's only been in Gnarly Fell for a short time and she's already causing havoc.
I love these stories as I find Andie M Long is really creative with her supernatural novels but also making them relatable. The characters maybe supernatural but they all still have a relatability to them which as a reader helps connect to them and the story.
I look forward to continuing this series.

I absolutely enjoyed this book! Not only was there romance but there was comedy and it was exactly what I was in the mood for.
My Vampire Boyfriend Sucks was such a light and enjoyable book. There was bits of mystery and suspense that kept you guessing. I love seeing more to Callie in this book and knowing how sweet she is. I also loved seeing how much depth there was to Lawrie. He isn’t all you make him out to be in the first book. It was definitely quite a story that I found myself submerged fully.
I definitely figured out what characters would be next from this world and there is a wonderful lead up in the epilogue to make you start wondering what is to come. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. This is definitely an enjoyable one. I definitely recommend this book for all because it is a light romantic comedy that everyone can enjoy.

I love this series. I loved Lawrie and Callie’s story. These two had me laughing so much. When they need to have a pretend relationship, things just may become clear. These two have been on the hate train for the past few years. More so Callie than Lawrie. These two are absolutely meant for each other. They just needed a push to make them realize it. The banter between these two were so dang hilarious, I don’t know how many times I was laughing out loud. I don’t want to say too much and give things away, just that you need to read this book. There really is a fine line between love and hate. 🤣🤣 If you read Suck My Life, then you will know who Lawrie and Callie are and you will see some familiar faces. Welcome back to Gnarly Fell.

Gnarly Fell, home to the paranormal previously cursed never to find true love. Things are different now. When Callie discovers her future and Lawrie is punished for siring Mya, the two hatch a plan. Avoiding her foretold future and his punishment of finding a vampire consort they begin a new love affair as a fake couple. But are they really fooling everybody? Do they really despise each other? Hmm, maybe they are playing into fate’s hand. Since this is a series it’s best to start at the beginning but each book has a new couple and an independent story. I always enjoy receiving early copies, and leave my honest review. These books are light hearted, whimsical and funny.

So much fun. Life in Gnarly Fell is full of surprises but the one thing you know you will get are amazing cupcakes from Callie’s bakery. Lawrie has a high opinion of himself but when he finally got Callie out on a date, a past fling sabotaged it and now Callie hates him. When Callie needs someone to protect her, Lawrie volunteers since he needs a fake fiancé so this seems like the perfect plan. What could go wrong? I had fun finding out as Callie gets to know the real Lawrie, maybe they do have a chance at finding love. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

I love Gnarly Fell! I fell in love with the place in Suck My Life where we originally meet our main characters Lawrie and Callie.
This book holds romance and laugh out loud comedy that we have come to adore from Andie M Long.
It was good to finally get some depth behind Lawrie, getting to discover the softer side of the man we saw in Suck My Life where he is someone you just want to throat punch haha.
I really enjoyed reading this book it was something light and funny. Can't wait to see who's story is up next in Gnarly Fell

Actually I felt that this book was really funny in spots. You've got The Field of the Drained, a boyfriend who happens to be death, a relationship that's not real but has to look real, a person that is scheduled to die on Christmas Eve and this joke.
Why do vampires sleep in coffins?
So they won't be disturbed.
Callie is a fae and seems doomed to die. Mya has to serve as Lawrence's love interest. There's a threatening note, a vampire leader that needs to be convinced a love relationship is real (even if it's not), and trash bins.
Really neat story.

My Vampire Boyfriend Sucks is book two in the Sucking Dead series. If you've read book one then you know how fun and quirky these characters are. In this book we get Callie and Lawrie's story, how they become fake fiances, who is out to get Callie and so much more. She needs a protector and he needs a fake fiance sounds like a match made in Gnarly Fell. This is a paranormal romance with a mystery twist and a great addition to the series. I look forward to reading the next book.

We are back in one of my fav places Gnarly Fell and back with the kooky residents who reside there. Both Callie and Laurie find themselves in a sticky situation so they find common ground and come up with a “fake girlfriend” scenario. This book is laugh out loud funny especially the way Lawrie behaves and tries to get Callie on side. There is a bit of mystery about but it all comes clear near the end. I loved this couple and their story and cant wait to read Callies sisters story.

Lawrie, Lawrie, Lawrie, I can’t believe you won me over. You were disliked in the first book and I couldn’t see how I would possibly like you. But you have completely turned me around and I loved your snark and funny quips. I lost count of all my laugh out loud giggles throughout the book. Do yourself a favor and snap this one up. Bravo, Andie!

A laugh out loud story of stubborn meets relentless, that's mixed with a little almost death and lessons on keeping secrets, a dash of magic and mystery and you get a gloriously witty, side-splittingly hilarious couple.
I absolute enjoyed book 2 as much, if not more than book 1, they can be read separately but I would recommend reading them in order.

Another fun rom com
But paranormal this round. I love the characters in this series and each pair seem to be getting their own book. While I can't help to think that Nick is getting off on the wrong foot with Dela, we will see if they get their happily every after in the next book.

moving up from jerk to good guy
This movie was intense. I felt for Callie and thought she has been through a lot. Laurie was a jerk in the beginning and a total womanizer, but then went through his story and understood him better. I’m glad he became her bodyguard. I hope to see more of them in the next story.
