Someone is intent on constructing a stone structure in a desolate area, but not in the usual fashion. Created by powerful magic, oddly shaped stone blocks have begun to appear. And there’s no sign of who or what is responsible. Is it a threat or just a curiosity?Resentful or not, the Guardian knows where her duty lies. She needs to investigate, and she knows she’s not smart enough to do that alone. But that also means an even greater disruption of the normal life she so desperately desires. If you’re tired of the same old tropes and predictable plots, then Impossible Castle may be what you’ve been waiting for.
As you might expect from someone trying to make his name as a writer of sword & sorcery fantasy, I have degrees in mathematics and physics and have written many scientific papers. (I have patents too!) Okay, that stuff doesn’t really help much. What about over three decades of writing increasingly complex Dungeons & Dragons adventures for my players? Or the tens of thousands of words describing the things that happened between adventures? If you think about it, a D&D adventure is really just a fantasy short story. String enough of them together, and you’ve got a fantasy novel. Okay, it’s a little more complicated than that, but you get the idea.
It may sound unbelievable, but I really have been running essentially the same D&D campaign since 1979. That gives me a huge amount of material to drawn upon when writing, and I have tried to integrate a great deal of it, even some of the sillier parts. You will find that my books include action, drama, and humor, as well as elements of everyday life that I hope make things more interesting and realistic.
So there you have it. Check out my books, and if you like them, tell your friends. Honest reviews are also welcome. And now, if you’ll excuse me, I have more writing to do.
