From The Author of the 'New Earth' Series. For thousands of years, God has revealed His purpose progressively. His servants have always known what would come next, for those who bothered to look.Eleanor is a woman concerned for what might happen to the world, and struggles to believe that anyone can predict the future. When she is told that hundreds of prophecies have been proven accurate already, she's left with a choice about whether or not to believe in what is foretold to come next.Nomi is a woman deeply afraid of her current circumstances, living in a lawless world. Noah is building an Ark outside her town, based on nothing but one or two promises, which nobody around her believes in.Though they were born thousands of years apart, both Nomi and Eleanor are given the same invitation, and are left with the same To put their faith in what was written beforehand, or remain with the world they know, but can't rely on.
An installment to complement the original series. The parallel accounts is a nice touch, a good reminder that there is nothing new under the sun. I had to take a break after the series, I started reading this, got half way and stopped reading for a couple weeks. I was still mentally overwhelmed from the series, and needed time to calm from the last 2 books, very heavy content. Anyway, TW is an excellent storyteller, I am constantly thinking about his books and my own faith.
I like the way Thomas Walker uses scriptural passages and events along with his own words. After all, this is fiction and a representation of imagination. We can all dream and suppose. But the prophesy rings true . I would like for all these studying the bible to read his work. I have read several and enjoyed having a story , yet having the scriptural information too.
This author’s imagination is incredible. He uses facts from the Bible to flesh out his characters and help us see day to day events as if we were right there! Scripture says the days of Noah are a parallel to ours. This story is so realistic and heartwarming while making you consider Bible prophecy in our time. Loved it!
