Beware the Ghosts from Within Former Texas Ranger Trick Monroe’s first case at his partner’s P.I. agency is an easy one - locate a wealthy woman’s missing brother. But his partner, Mason Redstone, a paranormal researcher and medium, is involved in his own case, and when a malicious entity follows Mason home, it complicates Trick’s investigation.
When their search for the brother leads to murder, and Mason’s brother Max is accused of the crime, Mason must fight not only the malevolence in his home but also find the person responsible for framing his brother.
With Mason’s sister Mikey’s help, they will seek out the suspects, but Mason’s personal battles will lead him down a destructive path, and their search for evil will reveal a shocking secret that could lead to yet another murder—one of their own.

Award-winning author, J.T. Bishop, is a writer of mystery thrillers with a supernatural edge. Growing up, she read books by Stephen King, Mary Higgins Clark, and Dean Koontz, devoured every episode of The X-files, and watched plenty of TV shows with great partnerships that left her wanting more. She loves tangled relationships, unexpected twists and turns, heart-stopping love stories and the complications that come with all the above. Throw in a little supernatural fun and she’s hooked. Her evil plan is to hook you, too.
She’s the author of The Red-Line Trilogy and its sister series, The Fletcher Family Saga, which features touches of urban fantasy, light sci-fi, and paranormal romance. She’s also happily writing mystery thrillers featuring two charismatic detectives who may occasionally encounter a supernatural villain or two, and a crossover series which follows the exploits of a gifted, but troubled, paranormal P.I. and his spunky sister.
All the above keeps her busy, but in her spare time, she loves a good movie, tasty food, an unfortunate sugar addiction, and traveling.

THE REDSTONE CHRONICLES, Books 1- 3 Source: The author; individual stories, my Kindle library. LOST SOULS, #1 - Interesting introduction to a series related to another series, Daniels and Remalla. I like the writing style of this author. Interesting story lines and good characters set to a good pace. 4*
LOST DREAMS, #2 - The story lines and characters are interesting along with a steady pace. 4*
LOST CHANCES, #3 - Interesting story lines. Interesting characters. I like this series as much as I like Daniels and Remalla. 4*
SHADOWS AND SECRETS: A Detectives Daniels and Remalla Omnibus Collection Books 1-3 Source: The author; Individual stories, my Kindle library. 4*
HAUNTED RIVER, #1 - Interesting and intriguing story lines. Good characters. A bit of ghosts and nightmares. Humor. The last chapter sets up the next book. 4*
OF BREATH AND BLOOD, #2 - Starts about a month after HR ends. Intense. Dark. More self-discoveries that border paranormal. 5*
OF BODY SND BONE, #3 - Picks up three months after OBAB. More paranormal experiences. Interesting. Sadly, ends short, must continue on to find out what happens after the bombshell. 4*
ILLUSIONS, #8 - The author warned to read the previous book of this series before reading Illusions. I did not since I did not have a copy and did not miss the book until I read the last chapter of this book. The story continues in another book although small pieces of the big puzzle were found but the ending did not satisfy me. The previous books are not rehashed, just bits mentioned here and there, which did not interfere with the story lines. I would recommend reading the previous books since there's more to the story ranging over at least one more book. Good story lines and good characters. Source: The author. 4*
VENDETTA, #9 - Luckily for me, I had Illusions, the previous book of this series. The story picks up where Illusions ends. Immersing and interesting with plenty of secrets and action. Continues into the next book with the new story line twist. Source: The author. 5*
BLACK BIRD, #10 - It's best to read the two previous books, although there is a "Previously" segment giving a good rehashing of book nine Vendetta. Picks up where Vendetta ends. Interesting. Good characters. Source: The author. 4*
J. T. Bishop did not disappoint. I’m not sensitive to the supernatural but I can believe it exists. Another fantastic book I could not put down.
Mason becomes “possessed” by an evil entity while clearing a client’s home of spirits. In the meantime he, his sister Mikey and his partner are working to clear Mason’s older brother, Max, of a murder charge. The result of his stress, he reverts back to using drugs which makes matters worse. He’s addicted and is fighting to get clean on his own. When it all comes to a head, Trick convinces Mason he needs to come clean to his sister, brother and girlfriend and go into rehab.
“Lost Dreams – Beware the Ghosts from Within” by J.T. Bishop is a paranormal PI thriller at its best. This is book two in the “Redstone Chronicles,” and I found it hard to put down. Mason Redstone and his sister Mikey run the paranormal research aspects of the agency. Trick Monroe heads up the ‘normal’ investigative part. That is until their lives and those they care about are in danger from all sides. Whether it’s a malicious entity, or a malicious killer, “Lost Dreams" will keep you guessing till the very end. I do love a good twist and a surprise ending.
Lost Dreams: A Paranormal P.I. Mystery Thriller (The Redstone Chronicles Book 2), my fifth read from author J.T. Bishop and the second book in the Redstone Chronicles. “I received a free Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. The book was well-written & flowed smoothly & quickly. I look forward to reading more from this author and in particular Lost Chances: A Paranormal P.I. Mystery Thriller (The Redstone Chronicles Book 3). (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
This is a wonderful addition to this thrilling series! Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building that adds so much to the story. Such a thrilling read that I couldn't put it down. Can't wait to read more of these. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Margot comes to the PI's office to ask them to find her brother Al, but when they find him he is dead. Max Redstone gets framed for the murder. Mikey, Mason and Trick have the job of trying to clear Max. Great story line with wonderful characters. A very suspenseful conclusion with one of them getting stabbed.
This story takes you from the good to the bad. Back to good then to scary. You know how they always say the butler did it? No he didn't. Again characters are written so you feel like you know them. You feel helpless not being able to help each of them. That's how real they are written! A definite must read. Now I am on to next story. Later.
This is a little cracker. So much going on that keeps you engrossed from beginning to end. I just couldn’t put it down. I really hope these continue for some time to come. I cannot wait to see What Mickey, Mason and Trick get up to next. Highly recommended.
A little bit of mystery, a little bit good guy versus bad guys and a little bit of fantasy. That little bit of paranormal is just enough to make this series enjoyable and a very different type of read.
Three siblings and a friend are faced with a plot against one of them. The characters are well constructed and have strong emotions. Paranormal activities add to the drama.
Was an ok book. Written well no grammatical errors. Flowed well. Didn’t make me want to continue it though. No earth shattering vibes or book I can’t put down feel. I finished it but don’t think I’ll go looking for book 2.
Murder, love, sibling rivalry, demons all mixed together
There are great characters that shape this story, family squabbles and demons. I truly enjoyed the interactions between all the people. You could feel their angst throughout the book.
This installment is enough to bring you to tears. Family, murder, and demons, oh my… all the things that scare a person most are front and center here. Don’t read alone at night!
An interesting book. Former Texas Ranger Monroe thinks his new PI job is a breeze. He definitely gets a surprise. Enjoyable characters and the plot is perfect with loads of action.
This series just gets better with each installment! The characters are gaining depth and the plots continue to have their paranormal twists. I'll keep reading!
