THE MEADOW PROJECT BY TREY HUDSON. There are several epicenters of such strangeness that have been ingrained into our collective consciousness over the decades. The Hessdalen Valley in Norway, the Hoia-Baciu Forest in Romania, Japan’s Aokigahara Forest, the Mesa Verde dwellings in New Mexico, Stardust Ranch near Rainbow Valley, Arizona and of course the legendary Skinwalker Ranch in Utah, USA. This book chronicles the in-depth research into another such location located in America’s Southland. This remote site, known among select researchers simply as the “Meadow” is the location of many astounding events. Some have even compared it to the Skinwalker Ranch itself with its own reports of UFOs, cryptid beasts, portals, missing time, crop circle like formations, men/women in black, orbs, strange beams of light, mysterious beings and many other oddities. Discovery of the Meadow was one of those serendipitous happenings that one hears about from time to time. Its precise location has not been compromised and therefore, has not been laid siege by curiosity seekers and other people looking for a quick thrill. In short, the site is pristine and inviolate. This makes it unique and special among these types of places. Finally, after several years, all the research and field notes concerning the Meadow have been compiled into book form and are ready to be released to the public. “The Meadow Explorations into the South’s Skinwalker Ranch” will take you along the amazing journey from its discovery to the most recent investigations. You will get to meet the researchers and experience their excitement, apprehension and sometimes personal loss.It is an amazing story that does not belong to any one person or group. It is rather the world’s story and deserves to be told.
This was a fascinating account about a previously unknown location that experiences strange phenomena. Cryptids, UFOs, orbs, strange noises, humanoids and more. Several places on our planet are well known areas of unusual occurrences include the Skinwalker Ranch and Mesa Verde to name a few. The author and his fellow researchers came across this location by chance and conducted numerous and varied investigations. Strange things happened. This account of their research is well written, interesting and a bit frightening. I hope the author will publish a follow up. A must if you enjoy the strange and unusual.
Are there certain places on earth where the paranormal events, or high strangeness, can be observed and recorded?
Places such as Skinwalker Ranch have been well documented, and the author of this book shares how he believes "The Meadow" is another such place.
The book shares the adventures of a group of people who regular visit the Meadow to go hiking, exploring and experiencing odd events.
The authors style is informal and easy to read, but I found the book sometimes laboured in sharing too much detail. Plus, the book editing and formatting is at times, poor, making it difficult to read.
Nevertheless, the incidents the team experience at The Meadow will be very intriguing to anyone with an interest in the paranormal, UFOs, cryptids or high strangeness.
The author of this book is geocaching in a rural area of the southern US when he is told by some locals that this meadow has a spooky reputation. He does some research and finds historical anecdotes that bear out the claims. He then takes some friends and scientific equipment to try to clarify what exactly is going on. A down to earth account with relatively little ‘woo’. I look forward to reading more from this author.
Interesting chronicle of intriguing research subject
This issue of high strangeness in localized areas is fascinating as a topic. This book could have been a dry sterile treatment of well constructed research but kept interest by the author interweaving the personal experiences and not just dry data logging. It needs better editing as the errors began to distract me in the latter part of the book when they seemed more prevalent.
I went into this expectations high for real scientific research and results based upon the title and the resume of the author...but frankly found nothing of value found other than a few strange feelings, a few strange lights...sounds..etc for a YEARS long exploration! And any time something “happened” people had forgotten to load the memory cards and etc. Huge disappointment. Frankly everything mentioned was a huge amount of nothing!
Paranormal research for the masses, that was what this book was attempting to convey (for me, at least). No sudden eureka moment, just an attempt to chronicle the activities of a group of paranormal researchers. Their experiences were mind blowing, to say the least. Numerous theories were expounded but, the reader was left to come to his/her own conclusions. I would love to join this group on their next adventure.
An excellent adventure into the unknown. The author makes us wonder about the world and how much we have drawn the shutters over the the other reality that exists out there. It's one of those books that ties in to experiences of lost time, fairy lore, lights in the sky etc. Our universe is indeed mysterious.
Not as mind bending as Skinwalker Ranch but strange enough to be worth the read. Decent travelogue with field notes, a few pretty wild conjectures. Should have been proofread by at least one person other than the author.
The book material is awesome and provides more interesting insight into the true combination of paranormal events BUT the lack of editing and decent spelling took a lot away from the book.
Interesting accounts of high strangeness somewhere in the United States. Hopefully this area will remain obscured so further research and/or contacts can occur.
This book needs an experienced proof reader and editor! There are many errors and it's sometimes difficult to follow and visualise what is being reported. The author uses adjectives such as experienced and dedicated to describe the researchers, the same researchers who forget to take photos, or when they try they realise they have forgotten to load the SD card 🤔👎 I love everything Skinwalker Ranch and was expecting a lot from this book but I was very disappointed. Thankfully I read this through my kindle unlimited subscription and didn't buy it.
